One thing about this game for the Nintendo Wii that is bad is if your batteries run low it pops up and you have to hit the A button to go back and it stops what you were doing. I was just running the ball and broke free then the battery thing pops up, I go back to the game and my guy has stopped running and in that time when you hit the button the defense resumes right away and BAM drilled and fumbled at the 6 yd line and they recovered it and cost us the game. 14-10. Suck

So I lost in the playoffs to Washington 32 - 30. Went through the off season, drafted a MLB in round one, a new RB in round 2, an OLB in round 3, two new CB's, A TE, Colt Brennan in the 6th and Mike Hart in the 7th (yeah I know).
Kicking up that AI made this game fun for me again. I cannot imagine how bad I would whoop the couple of jokers who talk about throwing all these picks at the kiddie level! We all need to get online and start a league. That would be great. I'd really like to play some of my friends like BDS on a regular basis and talk football trash to Holland over a friendly game of Madden.
Anyone else have any good Madden stories?

We all need to get online and start a league. Get on buying that PS3 then. Even if you don't do it this year, though, you've got to have one for next year. The head guy on the Madden team is making online Franchise mode and League play be built in for next year's version. Getting to do a full season online, with trades and drafts and playoffs and such, would be fantastic. I'm still not playing single player - pretty much online only for me. It's getting pretty satisfying to beat guys who are just trying to abuse the AI and the game's mechanics when all I'm doing is playing sound football. I beat a guy last night who was like 30-15 overall. The final score was 7-3, and the only statistical category I lead in was turnover margin. He just did a bunch of stupid crap that I didn't do, and he called the same blitz over and over again until I burned him for the game's only touchdown. It was awesome.

I would love to get an online game sometime but we would have to schedule it. I work midnight shifts and you probably work during the day.

Sometimes throughout the night too depends. I have it for PS2. I actually had no idea they made it for the Wii system. I'm looking to get a PS3 soon. I keep putting it off.

Yeah the Wii one I think leads to more INTs because it all relies on you actually doing the throwing. I think it takes time. I have gotten better at not throwing picks. I think it was just the pratice of the arm throwing. I have turned the slider back up and yesterday had 1INT in 3 games. Much better

I've seen that the Wii has a cool feature that if you've got friends over during a game, they can use their remotes to draw on the screen all telestrator style. That's kinda cool right there. I will. I almost bought one yesterday. Coolios. I'm looking forward to a challenge. I just rolled up on the Pats 35-21, and I let Connor call my plays for half the game. He prefers Thunder Smoke out of the base 4-3 on defense, apparently. He likes sacks.

Hey - quick question for everyone. In your cornerbacks, what do you think is more important: speed and coverage ability or tackling ability? I'm thinking about maybe making a shift in my secondary's depth chart.

I have to agree. Speed and coverage is much better.

Alright I don't know if how close the set up is with the PS's, Wii, and Xbox's, but where do you go to change what players are in for certain formations? In which menu and such.
Thanks in advance.
I also agree with Holland and Swarm go for coverage and speed. Only advantage to a great tackling CB is they strip the ball a little bit more.

When you're in game (where i have to change it at the start of each online matchup) it's under Strategy --> Depth Chart.

I see that menu when I pause the game. I'm pretty sure the first thing you're looking for says "Strategy." It should be right around the option to see injured players, too.
