NWA Heartland Card #172 Richfield Coliseum, Richfield, Ohio October 27, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring with the microphone.JR: Good evening, fans of the Heartland, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! It is our priviliege to be here in Richfield, Ohio, on the outskirts of the great city of Cleveland, with another great episode of Heartland wrestling! We have a loaded card here this evening, featuring TWO championship matches. In our main event, OX BAKER and LARRY ZBYSZKO will defend the Heartland Tag Team Championships against THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS. Before we head to the ring, we have another special announcement from Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE.Cousin Luke appears on screen, accompanied by MIKE QUACKENBUSH. Luke and Quack stand on either side of the Commissioner's desk, with the John Candy Cruiserweight Cup on the desk between them.Luke: Howdy! Mr. Quack and me just wanted to come on tonight and remind y'all that we are ready for anybody to come and challenge fer this here trophy! Any of y'all cruiserweights under 230 pounds are welcome to come rassle! Mr. Quack, come tell us about this challenge! Quackenbush: Mr. Commissioner, thank you for this opportunity to address the great fans of Heartland Wrestling. It is my honor and my privilege to be the first-ever recipient of this Cruiserweight Cup. The NWA has a great tradition of athletic competition among cruiserweights and I am proud to represent this fine organization! As Quackenbush talks, Cousin Luke wanders off the screen. Quackenbush: So, I am here tonight to once again extend the challenge to the top cruiserweight contenders throughout the NWA to come to the Heartland and wrestle for this prestigious award! From off screen, a high-pitched squeal and giggling is heard.Quackenbush: If you want to be a part of the top level of cruiserweight action, let's get it on! Quackenbush is again interrupted by squealing and giggling from off-camera. He looks up, winces, and puts his hands over his eyes. He turns and walks off the scene, his face in his hands. The camera tightens on the Candy Cup as more giggling is heard, then the scene abruptly cuts out.JR: Well... congratulations again to Mike Quackenbush for winning the Cruiserweight Cup! I can't wait to see who will step up and accept the challenge. And, I suppose congratulations are also in order to our esteemed Commissioner. No question, it would seem that his courtship with Miss Bertha has also met with success. Thank heavens that our cameraman kept his focus on the Candy Cup! Now, let's head to the ring for our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)THE IRON SHEIK (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) vs. BRAD ARMSTRONGArmstrong lit up the crowd with a flying body press onto the Sheik, and had the Iranian reeling after a pair of stunning knee lifts. But the Sheik kicked out of the Russian Leg Sweep, then turned the match around, catching Brad with a vicious elbow smash as he charged into the turnbuckle. The Sheik brought out his sadistic side, torturing Armstrong with an abdominal stretch and a camel clutch. To add insult to injury, the Sheik loaded up the boot and knocked Armstrong senseless to finish out the victory. WINNER: THE IRON SHEIK(Sheik pinned Armstrong after a loaded boot)JR: Ouch! The Iron Sheik has taken his aggression up a notch and Brad Armstrong paid the price. A tough night indeed for Brad. Fans, we have an unfortunate report to bring you. As a result of an injury to DELIRIOUS, our next match of the evening has been cancelled. Before JR can finish his announcement, he is interrupted by the sounds of "Flirtin' with Disaster" by Molly Hatchet blares over the loudspeakers. UNCLE ELMER emerges from backstage, accompanied by BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN. Elmer has shed his overalls, and is wearing a black leather jacket, black leather pants, and biker boots. He wears a steel chain around his neck as he strides to the ring with Heenan, rips off his sunglasses and grabs the microphone.Elmer: Say WHAT? Y'all got a problem? Y'all need a rassler to replace poor lil' ol' Delirious? Look no further, skinny boy! BIG DADDY ELMER is here to kick butt and chew tobacco- and my pouch done went empty! So you tell whatever lily-livered coward you got to come git a whoopin' from the Big Daddy! The fans erupt with boos as Elmer throws down the microphone. His opponent, JOHNNY VALENTINE, strides to the ring without hesitation. JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. UNCLE ELMER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Elmer picked the wrong man for his angry tirade. The rugged Valentine stood toe to toe with the giant hillbilly as the two exchanged chops and forearms. Valentine began to prevail in the bout, elevating Elmer with a his back body drop to put the big man on the canvas. A pair of elbow drops stunned Elmer, and he looked like easy pickings until RAY STEVENS and OX BAKER showed up at ringside! Stevens grabbed the ankle of Valentine, and the fur began to fly! Johnny left the ring and began brawling with Stevens. Elmer rolled out of the ring and grabbed his steel chain, smashing it across the back of Valentine, dropping him to the floor! Nick Patrick immediately called for the bell and disqualified Elmer. But the Heenan Family wasn't finished! Elmer began to put the boots to Valentine, and Bobby Heenan joined in! Stevens and Baker held off Nick Patrick, allowing Elmer to vent his frustrations on the downed Valentine. In spite of the pummeling, Valentine got to his feet and staggered back to the locker room as Elmer laughed and swung his chain.Elmer: Run, boy, run! Run like the yellow dog that you are! Valentine turns and points ominously at Big Daddy. Heenan and his family laugh at Valentine as he departs. As they watch him leave, Heenan and his men are startled as the Videotron lights up and COMMISSIONER LUKE appears on the screen.Luke: Bobby Heenan! You miserable snake! You best watch yore step. As Commissioner of this here territory, I ain't about to let you git away with yore nonsense. You n' yore boys can't be whoopin an innocent feller with yore chains. 'Specially YOU, Elmer! I dunno what got into you, but I'm fixin' to have yore momma come and turn you over her knee! As fer you, Mr. Heenan, you are FINED $10,000! Luke is interrupted by a throaty giggle in the background.Luke: Not now, darlin'! I got business to do! Now Bobby- you pay yore fine, and if you act up agin, I will suspend you! The Videotron goes blank as Heenan scowls.JR: Commissioner Luke is laying down the law! What an explosive situation, fans! First we see the appearance of this "Big Daddy" Elmer, and now Heenan has run afoul of the long arm of the Commissioner! What on earth will we see next? RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ SLICK)The adrenaline was still pumping for Stevens as he jumped on the Superstar from the opening bell! Stevens took the advantage with a jumping knee smash, and never looked back. Slick managed to prolong the match with his antics at ringside, distracting Nick Patrick only briefly before Stevens was able to finish the victory. WINNER: RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Superstar after the Bombs Away)JR: A dominant win for the Crippler! This quiet assassin is the glue that holds the Heenan family together, and tonight's match was a case in point indeed. In spite of all the controversy surrounding the Brain, Stevens kept his focus and put aside a formidable opponent. HEARTLAND TELEVISION TITLE THE DESTROYER (c) vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLEDestroyer simply embarassed Credible in his first title defense! The champion never allowed his foe to unleash his vaunted brawling attack, keeping the match at a snail's pace and twisting Justin into a variety of shapes. Credible barely survived a single-leg Boston Crab, but it took so much out of him that he was unable to escape the Destroyer's Figure-4. WINNER: THE DESTROYER(Destroyer forced Credible to submit to the Figure-4)DESTROYER RETAINS THE TELEVISION TITLEJR: Well done! Justin Credible is a dangerous man, but I am truly impressed by the way that Destroyer handled his business tonight. No question, he is a formidable champion. MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO (c) (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWSThe Heenan Family continued to run roughshod over the Heartland in the main event. The Big Ox spent most of this match trapped in the ring, as the crafty Outlaws tagged in and out frequently. As Baker wore down, he became frustrated, and at the earliest opportunity he hurled BG out of the ring. Ox grabbed BG by the neck and smashed his face into the steel ring railing! Once again, Nick Patrick was left with no choice but to call for the disqualification. After the decision, Baker continued his attack on BG James, but Kip came to his defense and joined in the fracas! As Zbyszko made his way to the brawl, he was intercepted by DENNIS CONDREY dashing to the ring! Condrey attacked Zbyszko and the fists flew, as Baker did battle with Kip and BG James. Baker managed to stun both the Outlaws with a double noggin knocker! When Nick Patrick tried to restrain Baker, Ox grabbed him and blasted him with a devastating headbutt! Patrick collapsed to the floor, and Bobby Heenan finally managed to get Baker under control and lead him away from the ring. Condrey and Zbyszko continued to brawl up the ring ramp until BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his security team broke up the fracas and ushered both men back to the dressing room.WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Baker disqualified for attacking BG James outside the ring)BAKER AND ZBYSZKO RETAIN THE HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJR: What a fiasco! The Heenan Family is making enemies left and right. But they escape tonight with the tag titles intact and that is the top priority for the Brain. Once again, JR is interrupted as the Videotron lights up and COMMISSIONER LUKE appears.Luke: That's it! Fellas, I done warned ya. Y'all can't just push folks around and do whatever you please. Ox Baker, you are SUSPENDED for the next two weeks! You boys wanna act up agin? I'll fire ya! Luke points his finger and scowls into the camera as the Videotron goes to black.JR: Oh, my goodness! Ox Baker has been suspended! This is a most remarkable development indeed. What an ending to a highly controversial broadcast! Fans, we do thank you for joining us here this evening for Monday Night Adrenaline. We'll be back on Friday night with more exciting Heartland action. Our main event will be the #1 contenders' match for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship! It will be BOBO BRAZIL taking on TITO SANTANA, and the winner of that match will face off against Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY at Heartland Havoc XXI. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! INJURY LISTHACKSAW JIM DUGGAN: Severe Injury through card 174 DELIRIOUS: Severe Injury through card 175 HILLBILLY JIM: Severe Injury through card 177

NWA Heartland Card #173 Beeghley Center, Youngstown, Ohio October 31, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring with the microphone. He is dressed as a plumber, complete with a jump suit and a plunger. He is accompanied by COMMISSIONER LUKE, dressed as Smoky the Bear, as JR addresses the packed house.JR: Good evening, fans, and Happy Halloween! Welcome to tonight's edition of Friday Night Fury! It is our privilege to be here tonight at the home of the world-famous JOE THE PLUMBER, proof positive that one man CAN make a difference in this crazy world! And speaking of one man who made a difference, it is my pleasure to welcome back our esteemed Commissioner with a special announcement. Luke: Howdy! Thanks for them nice words, Jimmy. It's always nice to take a break from settin' at my desk to git out and spend time with the fans! Now listen up, y'all. Next month, we got the World Tag Team Champions comin' to the Heartland! Not to git ready for the champeens, we gotta have some challengers! So tonight, we will begin a tournament to choose the challengers. The bad news is, the top team in the Heartland is Baker and Zbyszko, and the big Ox done went and got suspended. So, no tournament for those guys. The next four teams in the rankings will be on our tournament, which will start right here tonight! Now, let's- JR: Oh, no you don't! You may be the Commissioner, but that doesn't give you the right to step on MY lines! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TAG TOURNAMENT GIANT BABA, ANTONIO INOKI, & STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS vs. BOBO BRAZIL, MASKED SUPERSTAR, & THE DESTROYER (w/ SLICK)A chaotic match between two talented teams! All six men came into this bout determined to impress. The action was tight and the tags were frequent. Slick's men isolated Williams in the ring for a time and did some damage, nearly gaining a pinfall when Bobo dropped Dr. Death with a Coco Butt! But Williams managed to escape and tag out to Baba. The Giant dueled with The Destroyer, exchanging the advantage back and forth several times before Destroyer gained the advantage. Destroyer caught Baba with a Sensational Suplex and went for the cover. It appeared that Baba would easily kick out, but Masked Superstar grabbed his leg from outside the ring and prevented his escape! Joe Kopasz counted the pinfall, and the match ended in stunning fashion! After the decision, Baba pursued Superstar out of the ring and a brief scuffle ensued, but cooler heads prevailed and neither man was injured.WINNERS: BRAZIL, DESTROYER & SUPERSTAR(Destroyer pinned Baba after a Sensational Suplex)JR: What a shocker! Baba's team was favored by some observers to be the team to beat in this tournament. But Superstar was one step ahead in that situation and Baba is none too pleased. Now fans, our next match has been rebooked due to the absence of Ox Baker. Baker was scheduled to take on TAKESHI MORISHIMA, but instead, Morishima will meet BOBBY EATON coming up next. BEAUTIFUL BOBBY EATON (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. TAKESHI MORISHIMAEaton and Cornette appeared unhappy about the prospects of being selected to face Morishima, and his fears proved to be a bad omen. Morishima took control from the outset, leveling Eaton with a thunderous lariat. Eaton was clearly stunned, and Morishima immediately picked him up for a powerful Saito Suplex and recorded a victory! WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Morishima pinned Eaton after a Saito Suplex)JR: A decisive victory indeed for Morishima. He hasn't missed a beat since losing the Television Title. No question, The Destroyer is squarely in his sights. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSHIn an exciting bout between two of the finest athletes in the Heartland, Quack put on an awesome show. After rolling away from a Superfly Leap, Quack nailed Snuka with the Chikara Special, and nearly caught a pinfall after a Swanton Splash. But Snuka powered his way back into the match, and managed to nail Quack with a second Superfly Leap to capture the pinfall. WINNER: JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA(Snuka pinned Quackenbush after a Superfly Leap)JR: Quackenbush really gave Snuka all he wanted in that match, but the Superfly is one of the true legends in this sport and tonight he proved why. But Snuka is not a cruiserweight, and Quackenbush still holds the Candy Cup. Let's see if we can get a word with the cup holder before he heads back to the locker room. Luke picks up a microphone and chases down Quackenbush on the ring ramp.Luke: Mr. Quack! Mr. Quack! Sorry about that match tonight. Quackenbush: Thank you, Commissioner. It's certainly an honor and a privilege to compete with a man like Jimmy Snuka. Luke: But what about the Candy Cup? Quackenbush: No challengers yet! Luke: What about Chris Hero? Quackenbush: Be serious. Chris Hero is no cruiserweight. If he's 230 pounds, then I'm the President of the United States. Luke: You'd be better at it than either of the jokers who are runnin' this year. Quackenbush: Never mind about that. I have a message for Chris Hero. Hero- Candy Cup or not- you want some of me, come get it! I will take you down in the center of the ring and pin you, one, two, three! We've been down this road before, my man- but I am ready for you any time! Quackenbush hands the microphone back to Luke and strides back to the locker room.JR: Strong words indeed from Mr. Quackenbush! The match between Quack and Chris Hero is inevitable, no question about that. Now, let's take a look at the first qualifying match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (B.G. & KIP JAMES)The latest battle in this ongoing rivalry was another competitive and entertaining chapter. The action was crisp and both teams executed beautifully, but it was B.G. who came up large tonight, catching Page out of nowhere with a James Gang Pounce to catch the pinfall! WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(B.G. pinned Page after the James Gang Pounce)JR: If I had a nickel for every time these teams hooked up in a tight match over the past year... Barack Obama would be salivating! No question, this is a very close match-up between two talented teams. But tonight, the Outlaws come out on top and move ahead to the contenders' match for the World Tag Team Titles! NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH TITO SANTANA vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)A major upset! Tito Santana stunned the wrestling world with a surprising victory over Bobo Brazil to become the number one contender! Brazil came out with confidence, overpowering Tito early with the spinebuster and nailing him with a falling elbow. But Santana slipped out of another attempted spinebuster, then came off the ropes with a sunset flip! Bobo kicked out of the pinfall, but Santana was first to recover and surprised Brazil with a Figure-4 leglock! Bobo struggled mightily, but the hold was perfectly executed and he was unable to escape. Despite his best efforts, Brazil was forced to tap out and the victory went to Santana! WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana forced Brazil to submit to the Figure-4)JR: Fans, I am amazed indeed. Tito Santana was the prohibitive underdog in this match- and now he is headed to Heartland Havoc XXI with a shot at the Heavyweight Championship! Once again, I expect Tito to be the underdog as BRUISER BRODY looks to keep his grasp on that championship belt! Once again, fans, it has been our privilege to bring you this evening of Heartland Wrestling. We hope you will join us again on Monday night for the next episode of Adrenaline! Our main event will feature the next qualifying match for the World Tag Titles. Who will face the Outlaws for the right to go after the World Championship? Tune in again on Monday for the answer. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! INJURY LISTHACKSAW JIM DUGGAN: Severe Injury through card 174 DELIRIOUS: Severe Injury through card 175 HILLBILLY JIM: Severe Injury through card 177

NWA Heartland Card #174 Canton Civic Center, Canton, Ohio November 3, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, holding the microphone.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! It is our privilege to be here in Canton, Ohio, in the shadow of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, to bring you tonight's great card of action. It promises to be a great night here in the Heartland, on the brink of our next Pay-Per-View broadcast of Heartland Havoc XXI! The accolades continue to roll in, and I would indeed be remiss if I did not congratulate COMMISSIONER LUKE and all the hard-working Heartland talent. NWA Heartland has just been named LoW Fed of the Month on the Greatest Board in the Galaxy! Special thanks to my man Swarm, Mr. Vegas, and all the great fans who made this occasion possible. And of course, a special congratulations to OLD SKEWL, the overall GBITG Fed of the Month! But enough of the back-slapping, we have a show for this evening! Let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE vs. LARRY "THE AXE" HENNIGThe Geek and The Axe had a full-out battle inside the ring and out! The Geek managed to hold his own in the battles outside the ring as both men tested the limits of the rulebook. Nick Patrick gave both men leeway to settle the issue, and the match returned to the ring. Brutus took advantage and punished Hennig with the Studded Arm Band, then put him on the mat with a Flying Knee Smash. Although Hennig gamely kicked out of the pinfall, he was severely weakened and Brutus put him away. WINNER: BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE(Beefcake knocked out Hennig with a Sleeper Hold)JR: Who knew that the "Geek" could survive such a brawl? A fine victory indeed for Brutus. Now, before we head to our next match, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS is backstage with a special interview segment. Over to you, Wildman! Wildman: Thank you, JR! I am here tonight with JOHNNY VALENTINE, who has asked for time to comment on the situation which took place last week at Adrenaline after his match with "BIG DADDY" ELMER. Before we here from Johnny, let's take a look at the video from that incident. The Heartlandtron displays footage from the match at Richfield Coliseum between Elmer and Valentine. In spite of the pummeling, Valentine got to his feet and staggered back to the locker room as Elmer laughed and swung his chain.
Elmer: Run, boy, run! Run like the yellow dog that you are!
Valentine turns and points ominously at Big Daddy. Heenan and his family laugh at Valentine as he departs.Valentine: Now you listen here, "Big Daddy", or whatever you wanna call yourself this week. Nobody disrespects Johnny Valentine like that! I am going to the Commissioner's office TONIGHT, and I am demanding a rematch with you for Heartland Havoc XXI! You may think you're a big daddy now, but the next time I get my hands on you, you'll be screaming "UNCLE" all over again! Wildman: Strong words from Johnny Valentine! We'll see if Commissioner Luke grants his request for a match against Elmer at Havoc. Back to you, JR! ANTONIO INOKI vs. "BULLET" BOB ARMSTRONGAnother upset took place in Canton tonight as Bob Armstrong arrived with his game face on, and took the measure of Inoki. Armstrong caught a couple of near-falls in the early going, but Inoki fought his way back and nearly finished Armstrong with a Bow and Arrow. But Armstrong reached the ropes and Nick Patrick forced Inoki to break the hold. Armstrong came back with a vengeance, seizing the momentum with a series of cross-body blocks and finishing Inoki with a powerful Knee Lift! WINNER: "BULLET" BOB ARMSTRONG(Armstrong pinned Inoki with a Knee Lift)JR: What a performance tonight by Bob Armstrong! A very impressive match indeed as the Bullet secures the win over the Japanese superstar. KING KONG BUNDY vs. GIANT BABABundy still appeared to be a step slow after his Last Man Standing match with Hacksaw Duggan. Baba took advantage, chopping down the 446-pound behemoth and scoring a clean pinfall! WINNER: GIANT BABA(Baba pinned Bundy after a Leg Drop)After the decision, Baba left the ring as Bundy took a few moments to recever. As Bundy got to his feet, HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN stormed down to ringside wearing a neck brace and having his ribs taped heavily. Bundy looked shocked as Duggan bellowed "HEY-OOOOO!" Duggan ripped off his neck brace and tore away the tape from his ribs, then chased Bundy out of the ring area with his 2X4. Bundy escaped, and Duggan grabbed a microphone.Duggan: Ol' Hacksaw is back, Bundy, and I'm comin' to git ya! HEY-OOOOO! JR: Wow! Hacksaw Jim Duggan is back! No question, it looks like he's not finished with Bundy. The Last Man Standing match was an incredible bout, and I wasn't sure either man would survive. But now, both men are back to action and it appears that the carnage will continue! TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & ANGELO MOSCA) vs. BLOODLUST (DRAKE YOUNGER & JUSTIN CREDIBLE)In a competitive and often heated confrontation, the Canadians and Bloodlust battled fiercely for over 25 minutes. Despite wrestling hurt, Younger fought gamesly and nearly had Mosca pinned after a Drake's Landing Vertebreaker. But Mountie disrupted the count, saving his partner, and drawing Credible into the ring. As Nick Patrick sent Credible out of the ring, the Canadians walloped Younger with a double-team gutbuster. Mountie escaped just as Patrick turned his attention back to the bout, in time to see Mosca cover Younger for the pinfall. WINNERS: TEAM CANADA(Mosca pinned Younger after a double-team gutbuster)JR: Looks like the Canadians got the best of that situation. No question about it, Team Canada are your winners tonight, but those two men called Bloodlust are definitely not a pair you'd ever want to meet in a dark alley. Now, fans, we will head to the Main Event. The KILLER BEES are set for a match to determine who will qualify to wrestle in the Contenders' Match for the NWA World Tag Team Titles. As you may recall, the Heartland Tag Team Champions, LARRY ZBYSZKO and OX BAKER, were removed from this competition when Baker was suspended. So, in their place, the team of BOBBY EATON and STAN LANE have been selected for tonight's qualifying match. Let's head to the ring- Before JR can complete his introduction, LARRY ZBYSZKO storms to ringside and takes a seat at the announcers' table beside JR. Zbyszko puts on a headset and begins to rant.Zbyszko: JR, do you believe this? This is a total crock. After 25 glorious years in this sport, my chance at a world championship is wasted because that hayseed Commissioner had to stick his nose where it didn't belong. And after stirring up that mess, the Midnight Express get rewarded with OUR spot in this tournament! I am not happy about this, JR. Now I'm just here tonight to watch this match, but if the Midnight Express gets out of hand- especially that little punk DENNIS CONDREY- then it will be a sad trip to Larry Land for that loser! JR: Strong words indeed for Condrey and the Midnights, Larry. Now, let's head to the ring for the Main Event! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & JIM BRUNZELL)The Midnights dominated the Bees, and specifically Jim Brunzell. Despite the repeated efforts of Blair, both Lane and Eaton pummeled Jumpin' Jim. Nick Patrick was too smart for the Masked Confusion, and a dazed Brunzell walked right into a Superkick from Lane and it was lights out! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Lane pinned Brunzell after a Superkick)As the Midnight Express celebrated their victory, they were joined in the ring by Jim Cornette. DENNIS CONDREY came down to the ring to join the celebration, but Zbyszko left the announcers' table to confront Condrey at ringside! A shouting match developed between the two men, which quickly came to blows! Before any of the backstage security personnel could respond, Lane and Eaton jumped into the fray and began a 3-on-1 beatdown of Zbyszko as Cornette shouted his encouragement! The beatdown on Zbyszko drew BOBBY HEENAN from the locker room accompanied by BIG DADDY ELMER. Elmer immediately took charge of the situation, tossing Midnights left and right as Heenan and Cornette got into a shouting match! Elmer knocked Eaton to the floor with a massive headbutt, then picked up Lane and powered him overhead, preparing to hurl him into the crowd as Zbyszko and Condrey continued to brawl.JR: BIG DADDY ELMER is here! Look at that man go! He is dominating this situation and the Midnights are in BIG trouble now! Before Elmer could finish off Lane, JOHNNY VALENTINE sprinted in from backstage and slammed Elmer across the back with a double axe-handle! Elmer dropped Lane, sending him sprawling, while Elmer himself was knocked to his knees. Valentine continued his assault on Elmer, jumping on his back and pummeling him across the back of the head with his fists. BIG JIM THE ENFORCER arrived on the scene, along with Senior Official Joe Kopasz, to assist Nick Patrick in trying to get the situation under control, but the brawl spilled throughout the Civic Center. When Elmer went down, Heenan shouted to the back to summon RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS to come to his aid. Stevens pulled Valentine off the back of Elmer and landed a hard right hand to Johnny's head, putting him on the ground. Before Stevens could take advantage, GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE sprinted in from the locker room and tackled Stevens to the floor. Stevens and the Hammer began to brawl in the aisle as Johnny Valentine made it back to his feet and returned to slugging it out with Big Daddy. JR: Oh, my goodness! Greg the Hammer Valentine has come to the aid of his father! This situation is getting completely out of control! Cornette tried desperately to gather his troops and escape from the melee. Eaton and Lane pulled their manager to safety, but by this point Condrey was still on the floor being savaged by Zbyszko. Cornette waved his arms furiously, calling out KING KONG BUNDY to come to the aid of Condrey. But before Bundy could make it to ringside, he was intercepted on the entry ramp by HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN! Duggan smashed a 2X4 across the massive back of Bundy. Bundy was unfazed by the blow, but turned to face Duggan, who grabbed Bundy by the shoulders and threw him to the ground! Bundy hit the ground and rolled down the ring ramp, being pursued by Duggan who stomped away at the big man!As Bundy and Duggan brawled on the ramp, the Midnights managed to extract Condrey from his predicament and pull him to safety. Greg Valentine escaped from Stevens long enough to pull his father away from Big Daddy Elmer, and Stevens moved to restrain Big Daddy. Heenan and Cornette stepped between the brawlers, as Big Jim the Enforcer corraled Zbyszko and the referees jumped in to pull apart Duggan and Bundy. After over 15 minutes of wild brawling, cooler heads prevailed, and one by one, each of the factions was ushered back to the locker room area.JR: Wow! Fans, thank goodness for the Heartland Security Team and the hard-working referees! That situation had completely broken down. There must have been 12 or 13 men brawling all over Canton as the animosity has overflowed here in the Heartland! Fans, I have NO IDEA what will happen next, but you can rest assured that Commissioner Luke will be looking at this situation very closely between now and Friday night. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, Heartland Havoc XXI is coming up on Friday, so expect a major announcement about the card. Stay tuned for your monthly NWA Heartland Podcast this week! I have just been informed that the matches for Havoc will be announced on the Podcast! I do know that two of the matches have already been signed, as THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS will duel with THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS for the right to a match for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! Also, Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY will be at Havoc to defend his belt against the upstart, TITO SANTANA. Santana has been on fire, but the champion is a formidable foe indeed, and Tito will have his work cut out for him. Fans, I think we have finally managed to settle the situation in the ring, so we will sign off now and be back in action for Havoc XXI on Friday night. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! INJURY LISTDELIRIOUS: Severe Injury through card 175 HILLBILLY JIM: Severe Injury through card 177

Also, a special welcome to Cleveland native and Hollywood actress, a member of the elite group of Bond Girls... let's hear it for HALLE BERRY! And last, but not least, in the Executive Skybox this evening, say hello to Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE!The spotlight shines on the skybox, where Luke appears startled as MISS BERTHA hops off of his lap. Bertha is enjoying a foot-long chili-cheese dog, which she drops into her lap as she scrambles to her feet. She smiles broadly, both of her teeth glistening in the spotlight as she wipes a spot of chili off of her chin. Luke acknowledges the fans with a nod as Bertha waves enthusiastically. As Luke and Bertha greet the fans, the back door of the skybox bursts open. BIG DADDY ELMER and KING KONG BUNDY burst in, pummeling each other with punches and kicks. Elmer plasters Bundy with a powerful head butt! Bundy staggers back and crashes through the buffet table! Hot dogs and pork rinds fly through the air. Bundy gets to his feet, his face and chest covered in baked beans. He picks up a bucket of collard greens and dumps it over the head of the charging Elmer. Elmer is blinded momentarily, and Bundy grabs him by the back of the neck. Bundy shoves Elmer face-first into a tub of grits!Angered by the interruption, Miss Bertha grabs Bundy by the collar and hurls him out the back door of the skybox. She turns to Elmer, grabs him by the ear, and hauls him to the doorway as Elmer squeals. Bertha plants her foot on the generous backside of Big Daddy Elmer and shoves him out into the hallway. She slams the door shut and returns to the window of the skybox, smiling and waving at the fans.JR: She's no Sarah Palin... but I believe we have just anointed the First Lady of Heartland Wrestling! Greetings from Commissioner Luke and Miss Bertha to all you great fans in attendance here tonight! Fans, the show tonight is LOADED with thee intense grudge matches and two important bouts with championship implications! In our main event this evening, Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY will defend his title against the upstart #1 contender, TITO SANTANA. Now, let's head to the ring for our opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)This match started ugly and quickly turned into a bloodbath! Zbyszko took advantage of the early chaos and caught Condrey off guard, levelling him with a spinning back kick to take control. Larry then unleashed all of his fury, pulling the pad off the turnbuckle and slamming Condrey repeatedly into the steel buckle! Condrey was busted open and bled severely from the forehead. Cornette jumped into the ring, swinging his racket wildly at Zbyszko, but referee Joe Kopasz refused to allow Cornette to interfere. Heenan summoned RAY STEVENS to ringside to protect his man. Stevens threw Cornette from the ring and handcuffed him to the security railing! Before Stevens could do any further damage, STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON dashed to ringside. Eaton chased Stevens to the back as Lane struggled with Cornette to try and release him from the cuffs. Condrey battled back into the match gamely. Wearing the proverbial crimson mask, Condrey was able to shove Zbyszko off the middle turnbuckle and quickly stun him with a flying elbow! Dennis then took to the skies, nailing Zbyszko was a series of flying manuvers and leaving the "Living Legend" nearly unconscious on the mat! This brought Heenan into the ring, but Condrey saw him coming and decimated the Brain with a vicious clothesline! As Zbyszko staggered to his feet, Condrey dropped him with a Face First Leg Sweep and covered him for a three-count! WINNER: DENNIS CONDREY(Condrey pinned Zbyszko after a Face First Leg Sweep)JR: That was brutal! Zbyszko was sadistic in his treatment of Condrey. But the Loverboy proved he is a fighter, too! One match, and already the Quicken Loans Arena is a bloody mess! Kudos to Condrey for prevailing in that situation. This rivalry between the respective factions of Msrs. Cornette and Heenan is heating up indeed, as evidenced by the brawl in the skybox! SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION JOHNNY VALENTINE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE vs. BIG DADDY ELMER & RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Another wild brawl tore apart the arena! Big Daddy and Johnny started this match and immediately attempted to tear each other limb from limb! The two battled furiously for several minutes, with neither man gaining a distinct advantage. Finally, Johnny caught Elmer with the Atomic Skullcrusher, and the big man was forced to exit the ring and tag out to Stevens. As Elmer returned to the ring apron, guest commentator Hillbilly Jim stood and applauded Valentine. This drew the ire of Big Daddy, who made a move on Jim at ringside, but BIG JIM THE ENFORCER intercepted Elmer and sent Jim back to his seat. Bobby the Brain entered the fracas, but the Enforcer quickly dispatched him back to his position on the other side of the ring. Meanwhile, Johnny Valentine tagged out to the Hammer. Stevens and Hammer engaged in a long struggle for control, with neither man giving an inch. The Hammer chopped away at Stevens, who fired back with brawling punches. The battle continued until both Johnny and Elmer were tagged back into the ring. Still filled with fire, Elmer took the advantage on Valentine. After dropping him hard to the mat with a two-handed choke lift, Elmer squashed Johnny with a Hillbilly Splash. It looked like the end for Johnny, but Greg dove into the ring to make the save and the match continued. Hammer tagged back in to the match, and hurled Elmer out of the ring to the arena floor, where he clocked the big biker with the ring bell! Elmer was out on his feet, and Greg was able to roll him back into the ring and finish him off for the victory! WINNERS: JOHNNY VALENTINE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE(Hammer pinned Elmer after a Falling Elbow Hammer)Hillbilly Jim: Hahahaha! Serves y'all right! That "Big Daddy" ain't nuttin but a momma's boy! He cain't win nuttin', even with a weasel helpin; him! JR: No question the frustration for Elmer continues. Already tonight he's taken a beating from Greg Valentine and a beating from King Kong Bundy. But the worst beating of all had to be the one administered by Miss Bertha! Jim: She's a fiesty lil' ol' filly, ain't she? JR: Indeed. Let's head back to the ring! Hillbilly Jim departs from ringside, still noticably hobbled as the fans cheer him on. NWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS ("SWEET" STAN LANE & "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (BG & KIP JAMES)After two tremendously brutal matches, the Outlaws and the Midnights changed the tone of the arena with a hard-fought and crisply executed tag team encounter. Both teams worked effectively, as the Outlaws capitalized on Kip's power to weaken their foes, while Eaton and Lane isloated each of the James boys for extended periods. The match turned when the Midnights caught BG with a Double Goozle and a near fall. BG was forced to tag out to Kip, who entered the ring on fire! Kip dropped Eaton with the Fame-Asser, but Cornette distracted Joe Kopasz to interrupt the pinfall. With Kopasz occupied, Lane went to the top rope and assisted Eaton with a powerful Veg-O-Matic which led to the pinfall victory for the Midnights! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Eaton pinned Kip after a Veg-O-Matic)JR: Fans, that is just the kind of action that makes the Heartland the Tag Team capital of the NWA! The Midnights wrestled a brilliant match, and now will advance to face THE ROAD WARRIORS for the NWA World Tag Team Championship! But as beautiful as that match was, the tide is about to turn again as we are about to witness another hotly contested feud in the Heartland's first-ever Corporal Punishment Match! CORPORAL PUNISHMENT MATCH KING KONG BUNDY vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANThe hostilities between Bundy and Duggan picked up right where they left off! Although both men were armed with leather straps, they seemed to prefer the fisticuffs from the outset. The punches flew hard and heavy, inside the ring and out. Early on, Bundy caught Duggan with a sucker punch as he returned to the ring and he went down hard. Bundy immediately went to the Avalanche! Hacksaw was in bad shape, but managed to get his foot on the rope to break the count. Duggan took the opportunity to fire back with his leather strap, hitting Bundy on the left leg and opening a nasty gash. Bundy fired back, lashing Duggan across the back with the strap. Hacksaw was staggered, and walked right into a massive Bundy Bear Hug! Duggan struggled to break free, but he was out of gas and Bundy put him away with another Avalanche and a 5-count. WINNER: KING KONG BUNDY(Bundy pinned Duggan after an Avalanche)After the pinfall, neither man had the desire to end the battle! Bundy and Duggan continued to wail away at each other with the straps. Cornette brought his tennis racket into the ring. Bundy held Duggan by the arms as Cornette swung the racket! Duggan ducked away just in time, and Cornette barely missed hitting Bundy with the racket! Duggan went to retrieve his 2X4, but Joe Kopasz tried to prevent him from returning to the fracas. Duggan shoved Kopasz to the side and stormed back into the ring, swinging the 2X4 wildly! Bundy and Cornette scattered, and escaped before Duggan could get his licks in.JR: Wow! That situation continues to intensify. I fear for the safety of both those men- and anyone who gets between them, as Joe Kopasz learned at the end of that match. Finally, fans, we have reached the Main Event! BRUISER BRODY is prepared to defend his Heartland Heavyweight Title against the upstart challenger, TITO SANTANA. There is no question that Tito has a hard row to hoe here this evening. Can he pull the upset? Let's head back to the ring to find out. MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP BRUISER BRODY (c) vs. TITO SANTANAIn a main event which far exceeded expectations, Tito Santana came within a whisker of unseating Bruiser Brody for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship! Tito opened the match with a flurry, keeping Brody off balance with a series of dropkicks and pinning combinations. Santana scored a couple of near-falls, but Brody finally broke the momentum by nailing Tito with a boot to the face as he charged into the turnbuckle. Brody pounded on Santana and drove him hard into the canvas with a one hand body slam. But Tito slipped out the back door of an attempted spinebuster and nearly pinned Brody with a sunset flip! Brody powered out, but Santana immediately wrapped him into a Figure-4 leglock! Bruiser fought and struggled and was on the verge of tapping out when he finally reached the ropes. When Santana was forced to break the hold, Brody immediately slid out of the ring for a breather. Santana kept the pressure on, pursuing Brody out of the ring, but Brody caught Santana with a vicious clothesline on the arena floor and nearly turned him inside out! Brody slid back into the ring, and Tito was lucky to beat the 10-count. Once Santana got back into the ring, Brody immediately greeting him with a big boot to the face and completed the pinfall. WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Santana after a big boot to the face)BRUISER BRODY RETAINS THE HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: What a match! No question, it appeared on more than one occasion that Brody's title was in danger. But Bruiser held off his challenger to maintain his stranglehold on that championship. Who will step up next to try and end this dominant reign? Fans, it has been a most intense and entertaining evening here in Cleveland tonight, and we do thank you for joining us! We're gonna give the boys the night off on Monday, but we'll be back on Friday Night, November 14, with our next episode of Fury! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Before we begin tonight's matches, Commissioner Luke and I would like to introduce the newly appointed General Manager of Old School Saturday Night, JR JAMES!JR James strides to the ring, waving and acknowledging the cheers of the fans. JR: Thank you, Commissioner Luke and Mr. DiBiase. And thank you, fans of the Old School, for making the Heartland such a rich wrestling organization. Now, with no further ado, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Charles Robinson)JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)The opening match of Old School was an epic confrontation! Stevens and Valentine went toe to toe for over 15 minutes, with multiple near falls and frequent forays out of the ring. Valentine survived a couple of Bombs Away from Stevens, then nearly had the Crippler beaten after an Atomic Skullcrusher. But Bobby Heenan interrupted the count saving his man but paying a heavy price as Valentine clotheslined the Weasel halfway to Kentucky! Another Atomic Skullcrusher was all Valentine needed from there to record a hard-fought victory. WINNER: JOHNNY VALENTINE(Valentine pinned Stevens after an Atomic Skullcrusher)JR: Outstanding match for Valentine as he continues to frustrate the Heenan Family and move forward in the rankings. Could the Great Lakes championship be within his reach? THE VALIANT BROTHERS (JIMMY & JOHNNY) vs. TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA & THE MOUNTIE)The Valiant Brothers made a successful Heartland debut, picking up the victory in a highly competitive match. The brothers wore out Mountie in the early stages of the match. Mosca tagged in and took control briefly before the Valiants' teamwork propelled them to the win. WINNERS: THE VALIANT BROTHERS(Jimmy pinned Mosca after a Super Elbow)JR: A fine performance by the brothers Valiant, newly signed to the Old School. But just wait, fans, we have another MAJOR surprise signing to announce later tonight! KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. GIANT BABAOne wrong move proved costly for Baba! After controlling the early stages of the match, Baba was slow to ascend the turnbuckle while preparing for a Deathjump. Bundy caught the Japanese star, slammed him to the mat, and crashed onto him with a massive Avalanche to capture a five-count victory. WINNER: KING KONG BUNDY(Bundy pinned Baba after an Avalanche)JR: Bundy comes away victorious in the battle of the behemoths. No question, he is an imposing figure, made even more dangerous by the presence of one James E. Cornette at ringside. THE ARMSTRONG FAMILY (BOB & BRAD) vs. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (BOBBY EATON & STAN LANE w/ JIM CORNETTE)The Midnights proved their mettle as one of the all-time great tag teams with a decisive win over the Armstrongs. WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Eaton pinned Brad after a Veg-O-Matic)JR: A fine night for Cornette indeed. We have learned that DENNIS CONDREY has signed to wrestle on Wednesday Night Warfare, so it will be King Kong Bundy's job to watch the Midnights' backs and do Cornette's dirty work. But this is one dangerous big man and Cornette is confident that Bundy is up to the task. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK) vs. ANTONIO INOKIThe power of Brazil was too much for Inoli to withstand! Bobo survived an Enzuigiri, then came back to blast Inoki with a Bobo body slam and finish him with a pair of Coco Butts. WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Brazil pinned Inoki after a Coco Butt)JR: An impressive match indeed by Bobo Brazil. This man can absorb a ton of punishment and keep coming back for more. You have to put this man on a short list of top names in the Old School. But fans, perhaps no name will top the man we are to introduce next. Heartland Championship Wrestling is proud to present our newest acquisition- a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion. Fans, say hello to HARLEY RACE!JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. HARLEY RACESnuka and Race went to war in this exciting slugfest. Snuka kicked out of the legendary Race piledriver, but Harley was able to follow suit and power his way out after the Superfly Leap! Neither man backed down as the action heated up and ultimately spilled out of the ring. After several battles on the arena floor, Race took things too far and refused to heed Charles Robinson's instructions to return to the ring. Snuka wisely slid back under the ropes before the five-count, and it cost Harley the disqualification in his Heartland debut. WINNER: JIMMY SNUKA(Race disqualified after failing to return to the ring)After the decision, a frustrated Race came to the announcers' table.JR: Harley Race! Sir, I cannot begin to express what an honor it is- Race: Enough of the platitudes, fella. I ain't here to rest on my laurels. I'm here to win matches! Jimmy Snuka is a tough dude and it's never a picnic to square off with him. But to have success in this business, a man has to watch his back. So I am here tonight to look for someone to represent my interests in the Heartland- inside of the ring and out. JR: You are looking for a manager? Race: Whatever it takes. Race drops the microphone and leaves the ring area. Snuka greets him with a handshake and the competitors leave together.JR: Fans, what a revelation! Harley Race is here- and he is looking for a manager! No question, the phone lines will be ringing off the hook as every manager in the federation will be looking to acquire this services of this legendary star. Now, fans, let's get back to action and take a look at tonight's main event! MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TOURNAMENT NICK BOCKWINKEL, THE CRUSHER, & DON MURACO vs. BRAD, BOB, & BRIAN ARMSTRONGThe powerful trio of Bockwinkel, Crusher and Muraco outpaced the Armstrongs after an intense struggle. WINNERS: BOCKWINKEL, CRUSHER & MURACO(Crusher pinned Brad with Power Forearms)JR: What an awesome collection of talent! Bockwinkel, Crusher, and Don Muraco together as one unit will be an imposing force indeed. Fans, this brings to a close our premier broadcast of Old School Saturday Night. Now, to git our show started, I wanna introduce the new General Manager for Warfare. Some of y'all may remember this feller from days gone by. So let's bring him out! The music, "Big Shot" by Billy Joel blares overhead as DAYTONDAVE makes his appearance at the top of the ramp! We have a few tag teams signed, but we still have some slots open and those contracts will be up for grabs. Finally, we'll have a Warfare Combat Championship that will be contested under 24/7 rules! We'll throw half the roster in for a battle royal tonight, and the other half next week. The two winners will square off to determine the first Combat Champion! Luke: Daytondave, you're a genius! Daytondave: And a chick magnet- don't you forget about it! Speaking of which, I have one more surprise for the fans before we get rolling. Please welcome back to the Heartland, Referee HEATHER OWENS!The crowd cheers as the scrappy young referee makes her way to the ring.Daytondave: Now, fans- enjoy the show! (Tonight's referee: Heather Owens)WARFARE CONTRACT MATCH THE HEADSHRINKERS (SAMU & ALOFA) vs. THE HEARTBREAK EXPRESS (SUPERSTAR SEAN & FABULOUS PHIL DAVIS)This match was all over the place! The Davis Boys battled the Samoans all over the arena. Sean Davis appeared to have Alofa pinned, but the Headshrinker escaped from the ring and managed to finally tag out to Samu, who surprised Sean with a massive headbutt for the victory. WINNERS: THE HEADSHRINKERS(Samu pinned Superstar Sean after a Headbutt)Daytondave: Those Headshrinkers are a couple of big scary dudes! They will make a nice addition to the Warfare tag team division. Too bad for the Heartbreak Express, I kinda liked those guys, but they had their shot and couldn't get the job done! MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN vs. STEVE CORINOBefore the match, Daytondave came down to the ring and addressed Mortimer.Daytondave: Hey, Morty- come over here. Now that Daytondave is back in charge, you don't have to wear that mask any more. Everyone on the planet knows your true identity, except maybe our esteemed Commissioner- but he'll get over it. Whatever wrongs you perpetrated in the past are yesterday's news, and with me you can start with a clean slate. So let's lose the mask and be your own man again! Morty hesitates, then pulls off the mask and once again reveals himself as NECRO BUTCHER. COMMISSIONER LUKE storms out of the dressing room.Luke: Hey, boy! It's you! You sneaky feller- I told you never to come around here no more! Daytondave steps in front of Luke as the commissioner reaches the ring apron.Daytondave: Now, Luke, didn't your mama teach you to forgive and forget? Luke pauses, then nods his head and offers Necro a handshake.Luke: Daytondave, once again you are a genius! Now Necro, you promise to be a good feller from here on out, and best of luck to ya! Luke heads back to the dressing room area as Heather Owens prepares the ring for the match.NECRO BUTCHER vs. STEVE CORINONecro returned to his wild ways, brawling with Corino inside the ring and out. Corino stood his ground, dishing out punishment and dropping Necro with a vicious mule kick to the groin. Necro blew a fuse, going to the arena floor and retrieving a steel chair. Necro blasted Corino with the chair, forcing Heather Owens to call for the disqualification. After Heather stopped the match, Necro continued to pursue Corino with the chair. But Corino grabbed Heather and pulled her in front of him. Necro stopped his chair shot in the nick of time, narrowly missing Heather as Corino bolted for the locker room.WINNER: STEVE CORINO(Necro Butcher disqualified for hitting Corino with a Steel Chair)Daytondave: Now that's the Heather we all know and love! She ain't afraid to mix it up with even the most dangerous wrestlers in the Heartland. But Corino, don't think for one minute that you are gonna turn tail and run away from a fight. I am booking a rematch between the two of you- NO DISQUALIFICATION!"RAVISHING" RICK RUDE vs. CHRIS CANDIDO (w/ Tammy Lynn Sytch)The fireworks in this match began before the bell even sounded! As Candido and Tammy waited in the ring, Rude laid eyes on the lovely Tammy and began lewdly gyrating his hips. Candido took exception to this, and launched himself at Rude with a flurry! Candido bloodied Rude's nose with a stiff right hand before Heather Owens could ring the opening bell! But Rude insisted that the match continue. Without the least hesitation, Rude took the match to Candido and put on a wrestling clinic. Candido fought his way back gamely, but Rude finally dropped him for a clean pinfall. After the match, Rude again approached Tammy, swiveling his hips and puckering his lips. But Tammy slapped Rude across the face! The crowd roared as Rude steamed, but Candido quickly pulled Tammy to safety as The Ravishing One stormed away from ringside.WINNER: "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE(Rude pinned Candido after a Rude Awakening)Daytondave: Rick Rude is a bad dude! Even with a bloody nose, he got the best of Candido! Tammy was certainly less than impressed, however, and it appears that yet another rivalry has been born. THE NAPTOWN DRAGONS (DIEHARD DUSTIN LEE & SCOTTY VORTEKZ) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (BG & KIP JAMES)In a fast-paced, exciting match, the Outlaws struggled mightily to survive the lightning quickness of the Naptown crew. BG started off quickly, controlling both Dragons with a ground-based attack, but the match turned when the Dragons hit the accelerator. Scotty and Dustin dazzled the crowd with their crisp double-teams, and in the end surprised Kip and put him down for a three-count! WINNERS: THE NAPTOWN DRAGONS(Scotty pinned Kip after a Kiss of the Dragon)Daytondave: Now that was a battle to behold! The Dragons didn't see much success during their first tour of duty here in the Heartland, but tonight they walked in here and scored a major upset over one of the top teams in the territory! MIKE QUACKENBUSH vs. KONNANQuackenbush impressed everyone in the metroplis of Troy with a decisive win over the returning Konnan. The Mexican star got in a few good shots with his somersault lariat and 187, but Quack caught him with a series of Running Palm Strikes to wear him down and set him up for a spectacular flying finish! WINNER: MIKE QUACKENBUSH(Quackenbush defeated Konnan with a Swanton Dive)Daytondave: That's exactly why this man holds the Candy Cup, ladies and gentlemen, and why he is considered the best cruiserweight in the business. Even giving up 60 pounds to Konnan, he controlled the tempo of that entire match and finished off his opponent with a flair. As Quackenbush left the ring area, he was met at the top of the ramp by DANNY HODGE. Hodge looked over the champion, sneered, and strode directly to the announcer's table.Hodge: Best cruiserweight in the business? We'll see to THAT! Listen, you skinny little nerd, Danny Hodge is the best cruiserweight in the HISTORY of this business. Candy Cup or not, I demand a shot at you in this ring. You haven't proven anything to anybody until you have a go with Danny Hodge! Quackenbush stood at the top of the ramp and looked to the fans. As the crowd cheered, Quackenbush raised his arms and nodded his head to accept the challenge!Daytondave: Wow! Danny Hodge will be a serious challenge for Quackenbush! But we know that Quack loves nothing better than to prove himself in the ring against all comers. We have one heck of a match to look forward to! DANNY HODGE vs. ADAM PEARCEAs Hodge finished his tirade, he was attacked from behind by Adam Pearce! But Danny was no easy victim, as he deftly manuvered his way out of a body slam and clamped Pearce into a vicious arm bar. Before Pearce knew what had happened, Hodge whipped him to the mat with an Oklahoma Side Roll and pinned him cleanly! WINNER: DANNY HODGE(Hodge pinned Pearce with an Oklahoma Side Roll)Daytondave: Are you kidding me? Hodge just turned around that Pearl Harbor job and pinned Adam Pearce in less than one minute! He is already focused and gearing up for his challenge against Mike Quackenbush. That will be a fascinating battle of contrasting styles and I cannot wait to see how that situation plays itself out! Finally, folks, let's get the rest of the Warfare roster out here and let's finish the night with a Battle Royal! Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night Nationwide Arena, Columbus, Ohio November 22, 2008 (Card #177) The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring holding a microphone.JR: Fans, welcome to Columbus! The mood here in the capital city is festive as the Buckeyes clobbered that school up north this afternoon. Congratulations to Jim Tressel and all the men of the Scarlet and Gray! Ladies and gentlemen, we have a great show planned for you tonight. We have an extra-special main event title match planned for this evening, as the Heartland Tag Team Championship will be on the line! The dominant champions, OX BAKER and LARRY ZBYSZKO, will be defending the titles tonight against THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS! We're looking forward to a great show, so let's head to the ring for our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (IRON SHEIK & FRITZ VON GOERING w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)The team of Beefcake and Valentine was highly effective in their debut, isolated von Goering and dispatching him with little difficulty. WINNERS: BEEFCAKE & VALENTINE(Beefcake pinned Von Goering after a Flying Knee Smash)JR: An excellent debut for the "Dream Team" of Beefcake and Valentine! The Foreign Legion team continues to struggle and Nikita Breznikov can't be too happy about that. JIM LONDOS vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANThe size difference was just too much for Londos. Duggan pounded the smaller man all over Columbus. Londos fought back gamely, nearly forcing a submission with a well-executed Boston Crab. But when Duggan reached the ropes, the hold was broken, and Hacksaw regained the momentum. Londos tried to escape the ring, but Duggan followed, and pounded him into the concrete with a running spear. Londos was completely spent, and unable to return to the ring ahead of Nick Patrick's 10-count. After the decision, Duggan left the ring to assist the fallen Londos. Suddenly, KING KONG BUNDY appeared and attempted a sneak attack on Duggan! Duggan alertly sidestepped the onrushing Bundy, who slammed full force into Londos! Londos flopped back to the arena floor as Bundy got up and chased Duggan back to the locker room.WINNER: HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN(Londos counted out)JR: Oh, my goodness! The hostilities between Duggan and Bundy continue to escalate. No question, Jim Londos was the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time in that situation. Looks like Londos will be all right, but he's got to hope that his future appearances wind up better than his first venture into the Heartland this evening. DICK HUTTON vs. THE CRUSHERIn a surprisingly one-sided match, Hutton took control of the Crusher from the opening bell and simply outwrestled him for a decisive victory. WINNER: DICK HUTTON(Hutton forced Crusher to submit to an Abdominal Stretch)JR: Dick Hutton is a proud man and a fine wrestler! This man won the OhioCon 2008 Legends Championship! That title propelled him to a contract here in the Heartland, and now his HCW career is off to a successful start indeed. THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & JUMPIN' JIM BRUNZELL) vs. LARRY & CURT HENNIGAfter a marathon match, the Hennigs mounted an amazing comeback to upend the Bees! The Bees isolated Larry Hennig early in the match and wore him down severely. Curt finally made the tag, and absorbed a series of moves from both Bees. But despite the frequent tags, Curt fought on and finally caught Brunzell in a Hennig Plex to score a pinfall! WINNERS: LARRY & CURT HENNIG(Curt pinned Brunzell after a Hennig Plex)JR: What a performance by Curt Hennig! This fellow was not to be denied. The Bees had Larry Hennig dead to rights on more than one occasion, but once he managed to tag Curt into the match the momentum shifted dramatically. Young Curt managed to outduel both of the Bees and steal a victory for his side. Well done! STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS vs. MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ SLICK)Williams steamrolled the Superstar and put him down in under two minutes! WINNER: STEVE WILLIAMS(Williams pinned Superstar after an Oklahoma Stampede)JR: What a dominant performance! You would think that Superstar had a Texas Tech jersey on the way that Williams plastered him. Now, fans, we have a very special match between a pair of double-tough Heartland newcomers indeed. DON MURACO vs. NICK BOCKWINKELDespite their alliance, Muraco and Bockwinkel went at each other with intensity. Muraco did some damage, nearly gaining a pinfall after an Asiatic Spike. But Bockwinkel kept his cool and battled back, controlling Muraco and gaining a hard-fought submission. WINNER: NICK BOCKWINKEL(Bockwinkel forced Muraco to submit to an Abdominal Stretch)JR: Wow! Muraco gave Bockwinkel all he could handle, but Nick still managed to come away victorious. I think we have the makings of a serious rivalry here. But one of the hottest rivalries in the Heartland is the competition between BOBBY HEENAN and JIM CORNETTE. And tonight, the crown jewels of those two managers will square off- with the HCW Tag Team Championship on the line! MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY HEENAN) (c) vs. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE)The champs looked impressive tonight in a successful title defense! Zbyszko carried the load, saving Ox from a near fall, and finally roughing up Eaton and securing a clean win. WINNERS: OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO(Zbyszko knocked out Eaton with a Larryland Sleeper)BAKER & ZBYSZKO RETAIN THE HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJR: So the Heenan Family continues its dominance in the tag team ranks. Frankly, I am surprised at how convincingly the champions put aside an excellent team. Who will emerge as the next challengers to Baker and Zbyszko? Only time will tell. Fans, we do thank you for joining us here tonight in Columbus. HCW will be back in action on Wednesday night, as those wacky guys from Warfare take to the mats again. The boys are scheduled for another Main Event Battle Royal. If last week's episode is any indication, then Warfare should be a great show that you won't want to miss! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare Roberts Center, Wilmington, Ohio November 26, 2008 (Card #178) The show opens with the tune "Big Shot" by Billy Joel blaring overhead as DAYTONDAVE struts to the ring, decked out in his black Armani suit and sunglasses as he hits the ring, holding a microphone.Daytondave: Hey fans, it's Wednesday Night Warfare coming back at ya! This is the hottest GM in the business, Daytondave, here to bring you tonight's action. We've got all sorts of happenings set for tonight! Another contract match, another battle royal, and a VERY special guest star are on the agenda for tonight! My man Joe Kopasz in the ring and our contract match is ready to roll. So grab yourself a cold one, relax, and enjoy the show! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)WARFARE CONTRACT MATCH THE BACKSEAT BOYS (TRENT ACID & JOHNNY KASHMERE) vs. TIMBER & SAVAGE-TA crazy opening match on Warfare as both teams went all-out to gain the contracts! Early in the match, referee Joe Kopasz got caught in a collision and went down hard. Timber took advantage, using the opportunity to pound on Johnny Kashmere with repeated applications of the Log Splitter. But without a referee to count a pinfall, the match wore on. Just as HEATHER OWENS dashed to the ring, Kashmere finally caught Timber on the turnbuckle and hurled him to the mat! Kashmere was finally able to make the tag to Trent Acid. But Acid was on his own, while Timber and Savage-T tagged in and out frequently and keep the pressure on. Finally, Acid tossed Savage-T out of the ring and tagged a rested Kashmere back into the match. Johnny soared off the top rope with a magnificent dive onto Savage-T, slamming him hard onto the arena floor. As KJ Hill squealed, Savage-T struggled to his feet, but was unable to beat the 10-count back into the ring. WINNERS: THE BACKSEAT BOYS(Savage-T counted out)Daytondave: Unbelievable! Both those teams wanted their Warfare contracts in the worst way. Good job, Backseat Boys, and welcome to Heartland Championship Wrestling! GORGEOUS GEORGE (w/ CHERIE DUPRE) vs. DAN "THE BEAST" SEVERNIn the renewal of a rivalry which started in last week's battle royal, Severn and George engaged in a tightly contested battle. The crafty George used Severn's tights to manuver a couple of near falls, but the submission master ultimately overpowered George to earn the victory. WINNER: DAN SEVERN(Severn forced George to submit to the Wakigatame)Daytondave: You talk about your battle between beauty and the beast! Dan Severn is a no-nonsense, straight ahead fighting machine and he ain't about to go in for any of George's nonsense. That's one dude that Daytondave would NEVER want to meet in a dark alley! TIGER MASK vs. SABUIn a brief, but spectacular match, both flying stars pulled out all the stops! Sabu attempted to attack Tiger Mask before the opening bell, but Tiger reversed the attack, putting Sabu on the mat and slamming down on top of him with a rolling senton splash! Sabu rolled out of the ring, but Tiger Mask immediately launched into a Space Flying Tiger Drop on the arena floor, leaving both men dazed and wounded! Tiger Mask got to his feet first. but Sabu caught him and hurled him into the steel security rail! Sabu quickly rolled back into the ring, and as Tiger Mask slid under the bottom rope, Sabu plastered him with a triple jump moonsault and scored a clean pinfall! WINNER: SABU(Sabu pinned Tiger Mask after a Triple Jump Moonsault)Daytondave: Those two can fly! Tiger Mask is an elegant aerial tactician, but Sabu is a genocidal maniac. Tonight, the brutality of Sabu was just too much for Tiger Mask to overcome. You heard it here first, fans, Wednesday Night Warfare is your home for the highest flyers and the hardest hitters in the world of professional wrestling! Now we have two of the hardest hitters you'll ever see, coming up next! TAKESHI MORISHIMA vs. THE SANDMANIn a surprising match, Sandman began by bad-mouthing Morishima before the opening bell. As the two opponents went nose-to-nose, JONNY FAIRPLAY came to ringside and began to harass Referee Joe Kopasz. Before Kopasz could disengage from Fairplay, Sandman and Morishima came to blows! Morishima overpowered Sandman and hurled him to the turnbuckle, where he crashed hard. But as Morishima charged into the corner, Fairplay pulled the Sandman out of the corner and Takeshi crashed into the buckle hard! Sandman got to his feet and dropped Morishima with a Hardcore DDT. Sandman made the cover, and Kopasz delivered a quick three-count and awarded Sandman the victory! WINNER: THE SANDMAN(Sandman pinned Morishima after a Hardcore DDT)Daytondave: What on earth was that? Rest assured, fans, that is NOT tonight's special guest. I heard that Jonny Fairplay was in town tonight, but I had no idea that he was hooked up with Sandman! And what's with the fast count? I've never seen a questionable decision like that for as long as I've been watching Joe Kopasz. Whatever Jonny Fairplay said must have really rattled Kopasz. But the bottom line is, Sandman goes home your winner tonight. As The Sandman departs, the tune "More More More" by the Andrea True Connection plays overhead as LARRY SWEENEY appears at the top of the ring ramp!Daytondave: Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about! Ladies and gentlemen, it is with great pleasure that I present to you tonight's special guest, and my good friend, Larry Sweeney! Sweeney: Guest? Daytondave, my man, Larry Sweeney ain't no guest! HA HA HA HA! That's right, fans, Heartland Championship Wrestling is the new home of Sweet & Sour Incorporated! The Heartland is about to be treated to the long-awaited return of the greatest tag team on the planet! Sweet and Sour, beauty and power, 500 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal, Larry Sweeney proudly presents to you, THE KINGS OF WRESTLING!THE KINGS OF WRESTLING (CHRIS HERO & CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI w/ LARRY SWEENEY) vs. BLOODLUST (JUSTIN CREDIBLE & DRAKE YOUNGER)The Kings duked it out with Bloodlust in a battle of contrasting styles. The Kings tied their foes in knots, with frequent tags and high-impact ring work. But the Bloodlust squad rallied back repeatedly, sending the action out of the ring and subduing the Kings through sheer brutality. All four men were battle weary, but it was Hero who took control by tying up Younger with a series of cravates and suplexes. Younger took the action back to the floor, where he whipped Hero to the ring railing. Hero went down hard, and referee Kopasz was forced to call for the disqualification. WINNERS: THE KINGS OF WRESTLING(Younger disqualified for out-of-the-ring brutality)After the decision, Larry Sweeney hustled his men out of the ring area, battered but victorious. Younger and Credible stormed around the ring, kicking at the ropes in frustration. JONNY FAIRPLAY returned to the ring and put his arm around Younger. A brief exchange of words took place, and Fairplay shook hands with Credible and Younger and the three men left the ring together.Daytondave: Now isn't this an interesting development! Larry Sweeney brings the Kings of Wrestling back to the Heartland- and then along comes Jonny Fairplay. Call me crazy, but I don't think that Fairplay is anywhere near Larry Sweeney's league in making champions. I guess we'll see what develops! MIL MASCARAS vs. JUSHIN "THUNDER" LIGERIn yet another sensational, soaring duel, Mascaras used his size advantage to overpower Liger and hurl him out of the ring. Before Liger could recover, Mascaras launched himself with a flying bodypress onto the arena floor, smashing Liger onto the concrete. Liger was unable to return to the ring before the ten-count, and the decision was awarded to Mascaras. WINNER: MIL MASCARAS(Liger counted out)Daytondave: Now THAT is impressive! Mil Mascaras was the inaugural OhioCon Grand Champion in 2007, and he was a tremendous signing for HCW. He should provide you fans with a lot of excitement in the weeks to come! Now, fans, let's head to tonight's Main Event Battle Royal. Remember, the winner of this match will square off against THE MISSING LINK in a match to crown the first-ever Warfare Combat Champion. Let's get it started! Never saw THAT coming! Condrey showed up here on Warfare with no tag team partner and no Jim Cornette- and he comes away victorious in the battle royal! Fans, that was a helluva a battle royal! It didn't take long for RICK RUDE and CHRIS CANDIDO to get after each other again. And more than once, I thought DELIRIOUS and DRAKE YOUNGER were going to destroy each other! But it will be Loverboy Dennis against THE MISSING LINK for the HCW Warfare Combat Championship! Fans, as usual, the action on Wednesday Night Warfare has been intense and entertaining. Be sure and join us on Saturday for the next episode of Old School Saturday Night! Yeah, I know, listening to JR JAMES is about as thrilling as watching paint dry. Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night Toledo Sports Center, Toledo, Ohio November 29, 2008 (Card #179) The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring with the microphone.JR: Good evening, fans of the Heartland! It is our privilege to present tonight's episode of Old School Saturday Night, coming to you live from Toledo, Ohio! We have a loaded card this evening, with some outstanding matches planned for you. Our main event will be the final first-round match in the Heartland Six-Man Tag Team Tournament as BRUTUS BEEFCAKE joins GREG AND JOHNNY VALENTINE to face off against DON LEO JONATHAN and LARRY AND CURT HENNIG. Let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Charles Robinson)ANTONIO INOKI vs. RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY THE BRAIN HEENAN)Stevens surprised Inoki for a quick victory! After kicking out of an Enzuigiri, the Crippler floored Inoki with a Jumping Knee Smash to set up the Bombs Away! Stevens quickly made the cover, and the match was over before many of the Toledo fans had found their seats! WINNER: RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Inoki after a Bombs Away)JR: No question, the fans here expected more from Inoki than to be on the receiving end of such a quick pinfall. Even Bobby Heenan is stunned by the decisiveness of that victory! THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & JIM BRUNZELL) vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (IRON SHEIK & FRITZ VON GOERING w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)The Bees dominated this battle for respect! Iron Sheik opened the match, butcould not hold up to the well-coordinated double-team manuevers of Blair and Brunzell. Sheik nearly was pinned after eating a high dropkick from Brunzell. When Blair tagged in, he caught Sheik in a tortuous Boston Crab. Breznikov jumped to the apron, interrupting Charles Robinson and allowing von Goering to break up the hold. But Breznikov's antics proved costly, as Robinson ejected him from ringside! As the match resumed, von Goering was able to tag in, but he fared no better. Blair slipped out of a back-bodu drop, landed on his feet, and caught Fritz by the back of the legs. He deftly locked in the Boston Crab again, and Brunzell fended off the Sheik. With no escape in sight, von Goering tapped out. WINNERS: THE KILLER BEES(Blair forced von Goering to submit to the Boston Crab)JR: The Foreign Legion absolutely were shellacked in that match! They were in trouble from the opening bell, and once Breznikov was sent packing, the outcome of that contest was never in jeopardy. GIANT BABA vs. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKAThis match was highly competitive and the momentum shifted frequently. Snuka gained the advantage with a suicide dive, but Baba survived the blow. When Snuka took to the air again, Baba sidestepped him and the Superfly crashed to the concrete. This was all that Baba needed, and the giant Japanese carried the momentum to victory. WINNER: GIANT BABA(Baba pinned Snuka after a Neckbreaker Drop)JR: What a smart move! Baba clearly learned his lesson the first time around. Fool me once, as they say, and indeed Snuka paid the price the second time. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (BOBBY EATON & STAN LANE w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA & THE MOUNTIE)After being defeated by the HCW tag champions, the Midnights returned to form with style. The Canadians fought gamely, but Mosca went down hard after a Veg-O-Matic and was unable to rescue Mountie from the defeat. WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Lane pinned Mountie after a perfect Cross-Body Block)JR: The Midnight Express dominated that match. When Cornette's men are on their game, there is no qiestion they are one of the finest tag team combinations in the history of this great sport. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK) vs. STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMSAn intense battle between two powerhouse superstars! Bobo staggered Williams early with a series of Coco Butts, and pummeled him with body slams and big hammer punches. But Doc took everything Bobo dished out and fought back with a vengeance. Williams repeatedly executed the Backdrop Driver, punishing Brazil and weakening him severely. When Slick tried to interrupt the proceedings, Williams clobbered him with a vicious clothesline! But the distraction was just the opening that Brazil needed, as Doc walked in to another Coco Butt and Bobo captured the three-count! WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Brazil pinned Williams after a Coco Butt)JR: Oh, my goodness! Just when it looked like Brazil was dead to rites, he crushed Williams and came away with the victory. Indeed, there are occasions in this sport when even the most educated fan has no concept of what to expect next. Brazil moves one step closer to becoming United States Champion! But Bobo will still have to go through more tough contenders to achieve that goal, including the winner of this next contest. HARLEY RACE vs. KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)Race went right to work against Bundy, dropping him with a spinning neckbreaker and pitching him out of the ring. Bundy attempted to smash Race into a ringside table, but Harley reversed the move and drove Bundy's head through the table. As Jim Cornette frantically struggled to intervene, Race powered Bundy up and dropped him on the arena floor with a vicious piledriver! Race drew back a fist at Cornette, who ran for cover as Harley returned to the ring. Bundy remained on the arena floor as Charles Robinson completed a ten-count and the match was awarded to Race. WINNER: HARLEY RACE(Bundy counted out after a piledriver on the arena floor)After the decision, Cornette grabbed the microphone and issued a furious tirade!Cornette: Harley Race! You may be a world's champion back in the day, but that don't give you the right to come out here and try to end a man's career! Race: What are YOU going to do about it, you little momma's boy? Cornette: I'll show you, you beer-bellied swine! I intend to file a full report with the Commissioner's Office! Race laughs openly and strides back to the locker room as Cornette helps Bundy to his feet.JR: Looks like big trouble indeed for Harley Race. Jim Cornette has promised to file a report with the Commissioner. I wonder if he is going to tell the principal while he's at it. Distractions aside, folks, Harley Race proved his mettle in that contest, no question. He took the measure of a huge man and left him laying. Now, let's finish tonight's card with our Main Event! MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TOURNAMENT BRUTUS BEEFCAKE, GREG VALENTINE, and JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. DON LEO JONATHAN, LARRY HENNIG and CURT HENNIGThe main event was a rugged brawl, with all six men pounding away and taking damage inside the ring and out. The Valentine squad was a more cohesive unit, managing to isolate Larry Hennig and punish him repeatedly. Johnny Valentine nearly had Larry pinned after an Atomic Skullcrusher, but Jonathan managed to interrupt the pinfall. Curt Hennig came to the aid of his father, pitching Johnny out of the ring and slamming him face first to the steel steps! This led Charles Robinson to immediately call for the bell and disqualify Hennig for his infraction. WINNERS: JOHNNY AND GREG VALENTINE AND BRUTUS BEEFCAKE(Curt Hennig disqualified for outside of ring attack on Johnny Valentine)After the decision, Larry Hennig struggled to calm Curt down. But Jonathan appeared frustrated with the pair, and walked away from the ring, leaving the Hennigs behind as he departed.JR: What a fierce battle that was! Both the Hennigs came away the worse for wear from that situation, and it will be the Valentines and Brutus moving another step closer to the $30,000 tournament prize. It looks like Don Leo Jonathan has abandoned his alliance with the Hennigs. That's a shame, because he and Curt Hennig showed some flashes of effectiveness in that match. But now, Larry and Curt need to pull themselves together and get back on track before their tag match against THE VALIANT BROTHERS next week! Fans, it has been a great night here in Toledo. We certainly hope that each and every one of you are in good health and counting your blessings this holiday season. Don't forget to tune in on Wednesday night for HCW Warfare, where you will be treated to more high-flying professional wrestling action! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

(Tonight's referee: Heather Owens )NECRO BUTCHER vs. JUSHIN "THUNDER" LIGERThe bizarre Necro Butcher seemed to intimidate both Liger and Heather Owens. Necro took great liberties with the rule book, and Heather gave him more than adequate leeway to overpower the smaller opponent and record a decisive victory. WINNER: NECRO BUTCHER(Necro pinned Liger after a Tiger Driver)Daytondave: Is it just me, or is everyone in Bryan County afraid of Necro Butcher? There must be a method to the madness, because it worked pretty well tonight and Necro scored a big win over a talented opponent. Before we hit the ring again, I want to bring out my good friend LARRY SWEENEY, who has a few things on his mind. Come on down, Larry! The tune, "More, more, more" by the Andrea True Connection plays overhead as Sweeney struts to the ring.Sweeney: Yes indeed, baby! Larry Sweeney and Sweet and Sour Incorporated are back in the Heartland! Daytondave, as usual you are lookin' fine and runnin' the best wrestling promotion on the planet. I am here tonight to introduce the newest member of Sweet and Sour Incorporated. Larry Sweeney is going to build a first-class wrestling empire, and this guy will be a cornerstone of the corporation. So fans, put your hands together for my man, "SCRAP IRON" ADAM PEARCE!TAKESHI MORISHIMA vs. ADAM PEARCE (w/ LARRY SWEENEY)Inspired by the vocal support of his manager, Pearce came after Morishima with a vengeance! "Scrap Daddy" floored Morishima with a big right hand at the opening bell, and kept after his foe relentlessly. Action spilled out of the ring, where Sweeney managed to interpose himself and protect his man. When Pearce whipped Morishima with a strap, the frustration boiled over. Morishima rammed Pearce facefirst into the steel railing at ringside, and Heather Owens immediately called for the disqualification. After the disqualification, Morishima turned his attention to Sweeney and grabbed him by the lapels! But before Morishima could get a shot in, CHRIS HERO and CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI sprinted to ringside and rescued the helpless manager. The instant he broke free, Sweeney sprinted back to the locker room.WINNER: ADAM PEARCE(Morishima disqualified for violence outside the ring)Daytondave: How about THAT? Fans, that is precisely why my man Larry Sweeney is a genius! He can take a guy like Adam Pearce and topple a giant! You gotta believe, the sky is the limit for Sweet and Sour Incorporated! THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE) vs. PELIGROSO (TITO SANTANA & PEPPER GOMEZ)In a well-fought, competitive bout, the Mexicans managed to trap Page in the corner and do some damage. Gomez stunned Page with a Mexican Leap, then tagged in Santana. Tito wrapped Page into a deadly Figure-Four, and Gomez held off Rose's attempted rescue to seal the victory. WINNERS: PELIGROSO(Santana forced Page to submit to the Figure-4)Daytondave: Ole! Ole! Ole! I guess it's Tequila and sombreros for everyone tonight. But seriously folks, Santana and Gomez have been on a roll recently. With that victory, these guys are in line for a shot at the HCW Tag Team Championship! DAN "THE BEAST" SEVERN vs. MIL MASCARASSevern and Mascaras hooked up in an excellent bout which featured countless reversals and counters. Mascaras finally took the advantage by going to the air, stunning Severn with a suicide dive to set him up for a Flying Bodypress and a pinfall. WINNER: MIL MASCARAS(Mascaras pinned Severn after a Flying Bodypress)After the decision, TITO SANTANA and PEPPER GOMEZ returned to the ring and congratulated both men. Daytondave: Well how about that! It's a regular Mexican love fest! Clearly annoyed, Santana strode to the announcers' table and grabbed the microphone from Daytondave.Santana: That's enough! No more of this insulting and stereotyping! Me amigo Pepper Gomez and I are here to bring honor for the great nation of Mexico! We will not allow any more embarassment to la raza! Daytondave appears nervous as he takes a step back from the raving Santana. Pepper Gomez picks up a steel chair as he and Mil Mascaras move closer. Santana: The hombres of Peligroso will not stand for the denigration of the Mexican people! At that moment, Gomez rears back with the steel chair... and nails Mascaras across the back!Santana: Stupid masks! Strutting around the ring like some sort of adoquin! Mascaras, you are perdedor! Your foolishness is an embarassment to la raza! Gomez throws the chair to the floor in disgust and spits on Mascaras. Santana tosses the microphone back onto the announcers' table and leaves the ring area with Gomez. Daytondave appears stupefied as he watches the men of Peligroso leave the ring area.Daytondave: What the- ? Holy burrito... I thought my testiculos were in a vise for a moment there. I have NO IDEA what just happened here. Thank goodness, we have another match ready in the ring. DANNY HODGE vs. STEVE CORINOHodge was completely dominant, dismantling Corino from the outset. After methodically wearing Corino down, Hodge finished him in style with his signature manuever. WINNER: DANNY HODGE(Hodge pinned Corino with an Oklahoma Side Roll)Daytondave: Danny Hodge again has proven himself to be one tough SOB in the ring! It looks like Danny is headed this way for a conversation. Dude, what's on your mind? Hodge: One thing, and one thing only is on my mind. Mike Quackenbush. Prancing around here claiming to be the best cruiserweight in the business. Not on your life! Quackenbush, I don't eat candy, but I'm coming after the Candy Cup as proof positive that I am the top dog in the cruiserweight division. I will do whatever it takes to earn that honor- and I don't care who I have to go through to get there. So, at Heartland Havoc XXII, Quackenbush, I want you to bring your best match- and bring that Candy Cup- and be prepared to kiss it goodbye! Daytondave: Strong words from a strong competitor! Fans, remember, Heartland Havoc XXII is just two weeks away! Saturday night, December 20, will be the night that Danny Hodge and Mike Quackenbush hook it up for the Candy Cruiserweight Cup! GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE vs. CHRIS CANDIDO (w/ TAMMY LYNN SYTCH)In a one-sided beatdown, Rude floored Candido with a double thrust at the opening bell, the pounded him into the canvas. Candido's efforts to escape proved fruitless, as Rude followed him to the arena floor and dropped him with a swinging neckbreaker onto the concrete. Candido managed to stagger back to the ring as Rude gestured lewdly at Tammy, but the Ravishing One greeted him with a Rude Awakening to cap off the destruction. WINNER: "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE(Rude pinned Candido with a Rude Awakening)After the decision, Rude continued to make gestures at Tammy. When Tammy came into the ring to attend to Candido, Rude moved in on her lustily, backing her into the corner as he swiveled his hips. Before Rude could lay a hand on Tammy she reached up and slapped him across the face! Rude angrily drew back his hand to strike her, but Candido grabbed him by the arm and decked him with a stiff right hand! Tammy slipped out of the ring and Candido quickly escorted her out of the ring area.Daytondave: I guess you can't blame a guy for trying! Rick Rude obviously wants to get to know Tammy a little better- and who can blame him? But Tammy ain't interested and Candido ain't about to let Rude get away with any of his unwanted advances. You gotta believe that this ain't over! Now, let's finish the show with our main event, where we will crown the first-ever Warfare Combat Champion! MAIN EVENT: HCW WARFARE COMBAT CHAMPIONSHIP MISSING LINK vs. DENNIS CONDREYThe Missing Link made short work of Condrey. Link surprised Condrey with a top rope knee smash to the head, and quickly pounced on him with a Back Flying Head Butt to score a pinfall! WINNER: MISSING LINK(Link pinned Condrey after a Back Flying Head Butt)MISSING LINK EARNS THE HCW WARFARE COMBAT CHAMPIONSHIPDaytondave: This guy is a beast! Fans, The Missing Link is your new Combat Champion. And believe me, no one represents the straight-ahead, hardcore Combat style better than Link. This dude was hardcore before hardcore was cool. And remember, fans, the Combat Championship is on the line, 24/7- but who would want to mess with this guy? Time will tell- before you know it, some fool will be making his move. Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night James A. Rhodes Arena, Akron, Ohio December 6, 2008 (Card #181) The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring to greet the capacity crowd.JR: Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to Old School Saturday Night! It is our privilege to be here in the fine city of Toledo for an exciting evening of professional wrestling competition. Old School is gearing up for the pay-per-view broadcast of Heartland Havoc XXII, two weeks from tonight! One of the exciting matches planned for Havoc will see THE DESTROYER defend his United States Heavyweight Championship! The challenger for that match will be chosen in tonight's main event, where GIANT BABA squares off against RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS. Now let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick )DON MURACO vs. JIM LONDOSLondos put together some nice combinations in the opening exchanges, but the power of Muraco proved to be too much. WINNER: DON MURACO(Muraco forced Londos to submit to an Over-The-Shoulder Backbreaker)JR: Two weeks ago, Muraco nearly knocked off Nick Bockwinkel. This big Hawaiian is indeed a formidable foe. BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE vs. BOB & BRAD ARMSTRONGThe match had barely gotten underway when Bob Armstrong smacked Valentine in the head with a powerful knee lift and pinned him cleanly! WINNERS: THE ARMSTRONGS(Bob Armstrong pinned Greg Valentine after a Knee Lift)JR: Ouch! I don't believe I have ever seen a guy get his lights put out with a knee lift in such a dramatic fashion. No question, Bob Armstrong has surprised some folks since his Old School debut. MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ SLICK) vs. THE CRUSHERThe fireworks in this match began even before the opening bell! As Crusher was being introduced, he grabbed the microphone and began taunting JR James, calling him a "poofy-haired skinny boy". Masked Superstar took exception to this, rushing to the ring and levelling Crusher with a forearm! But Crusher bounced right back up, and the brawl was underway. Both men pounded away, but Crusher got the better of the exchanges and Superstar was reeling! But Slick got involved at just the right moment, distracting Nick Patrick and allowing Superstar to deliver a devastating low blow! Superstar rallied, trapping Crusher in the Cobra Hold, but the Milwaukee brawler survived the agonizing hold and fought his way to the ropes. Crusher again fought back, taking advantage of the weakened Superstar and finally prevailing. WINNER: THE CRUSHER(Crusher pinned Superstar after a Crusher Bolo)JR: That was completely unnecessary! Hair like this is a precious commodity. But if you're gonna talk the talk, you better be prepared to back it up in the ring, and indeed the Crusher did just that. Now, fans, we have a special announcement from the main man in the Heartland, COMMISSIONER LUKE.COMMISSIONER LUKE appears at his desk. A large pile of paper sits in front of him on the desk. JIM CORNETTE is seated in front of the desk, ranting as the camera comes on. Cornette: Luke, I'm telling you! Watch the tape! You can't sit back and let this sort of thing go on! Luke: Easy now, Jimmy. I hear ya- and I already read this 167-page brief that you have filed. Bertha, honey, play that tape for us! MISS BERTHA waddles into the office carrying a video tape. She places it into the VCR, treating the camera to several inches of butt cleavage as she bends down to push the "Play" button.Footage is displayed from the match between KING KONG BUNDY and HARLEY RACE in Toledo. Bundy remained on the arena floor as Charles Robinson completed a ten-count and the match was awarded to Race.Cornette: See? That was a travesty! A miscarriage of justice! Mr. Commissioner, there's no place for violence like THAT in the world of professional wrestling! What are you going to do about it? I think you ought to fire Harley Race on the spot! Luke sighs, and looks into the camera.Luke: Jimmy, you have a point. But I ain't fixin' to fire nobody. But yore right, we cain't have a feller drop some body on his head that way. Harley Race, I declare that you are DISQUALIFIED from that match, and King Kong Bundy is the winner. Is that good enough? Cornette: Luke, sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar! And did I mention, your taste in secretaries is... unmatched in this business! Luke: Enough already, Cornette. Take your eyes off my secretary and get yore butt out of my office! Can we get back to some rasslin'? JR: Fans, what a stunning turn of events indeed! Commissioner Luke has reversed the decision from last week's match- and declared King Kong Bundy to be the winner! No question, Harley Race will be none too pleased about that. Let's head back to the ring for our next match. THE VALIANT BROTHERS (JIMMY & JOHNNY) vs. LARRY & CURT HENNIGIn another surprisingly quick match, the Valiant walloped Curt Hennig with a double clothesline and scored a quick pinfall victory! WINNERS: JOHNNY AND JIMMY VALIANT(Jimmy Valiant pinned Curt after a Super Elbow)JR: E-Gads! Curt Hennig has been wrestling at such a high level- I am shocked to see him victimized so quickly by the Valiant Brothers. JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. NICK BOCKWINKELBockwinkel and Valentine went at it in a highly competitive encounter featuring numerous reversals and scientific exchanges. As the match wore on, Bockwinkel took control and punished Valentine with a Figure-4 leglock and repeated use of the Bockwinkel Sleeper. Valentine survived the onslaught, but his running lights were dimmed and he was easy pickings for a pinfall. WINNER: NICK BOCKWINKEL(Bockwinkel pinned Valentine with a Small Package)JR: Wrestling is indeed a game of human chess. And no one moves the pieces with more precision than Nick Bockwinkel. Tonight was indeed a case in point as Bockwinkel took the measure of a very capable opponent. As Nick Patrick prepares the ring for the next match, HARLEY RACE angrily storms to ringside and takes a microphone.JR: Good evening, Mr. Race. I assume that you have come to discuss the decision made by Commissioner Luke earlier this evening? Race: You're damn right I am. It's an outrage! JR: You must be pretty angry at the Commissioner. Race: Not so much. We all know that Luke is a good man, and he loves the business. Maybe he is a little simple- which makes him easy prey for a conniving little punk like Cornette. If I get my hands on Cornette, I will tear him limb from limb! JR: But how do you intend to get your hands on Cornette? Race: Good question. The guy always has his protection. So, I am going to dismantle his crew, one by one- starting with King Kong Bundy! JR, you tell our fine Commissioner that I want a match with Bundy at Heartland Havoc XXII - NO DISQUALIFICATION!JR: Yes, sir, Mr. Race. Fans, the challenge has been made- Race versus Bundy at Heartland Havoc! Will Luke sign this match? We'll just have to wait and see. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN vs. DICK HUTTONDuggan managed to control the tempo of this match, mixing it up with his wild brawling and preventing Hutton from taking him to the mat. After surviving a couple of pin attempts, Duggan stormed back to overwhelm Hutton and put him down for a three-count. WINNER: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN(Duggan pinned Hutton after a Flying Spear)JR: Did I say something about human chess? That was before Hacksaw Duggan made his appearance. There's nothing cerebral about his style, no question about it. Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed that Commissioner Luke has made his decision! It will be Harley Race against King Kong Bundy in a no-disqualification matchup at Heartland Havoc! Also on the card at Havoc will be the Old School United States Heavyweight Championship, where THE DESTROYER will defend his title against the winner of tonight's main event! MAIN EVENT: OLD SCHOOL UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH GIANT BABA vs. RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)In a stunning finish, Baba appeared to have control of this match until Stevens rolled through a flying body press for a near fall! Before Baba could recover, Stevens crushed him with a Bombs Away and pinned him cleanly! WINNER: RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Baba after a Bombs Away)JR: Another surprising victory indeed for Ray Stevens! Can the Crippler take down The Destroyer and capture the U.S. Title? We'll see that match and much more at Heartland Havoc XXII! Just one more television broadcast before the big pay-per-view. So be sure to tune in on Wednesday night for Warfare, where BOBO BRAZIL will take on TAKESHI MORISHIMA for the opportunity for a Heartland Heavyweight title match at Havoc. You won't want to miss the big broadcast on Wednesday! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare December 10, 2008 (Card #182) Fulton County Fairgrounds, Fayette, Ohio The show opens with Warfare GM DAYTONDAVE in the ring decked out in a black pinstriped Regent Herringbone suit as he prepares to address the crowd.Daytondave: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Wednesday Night Warfare! Once again, Commissioner Luke has booked a show in the middle of Podunk, Nowhere. Right between the horseshoe tournament and the tractor pull, I suppose. With any luck, I'll get out of this place without soiling my thousand dollar threads. But don't you worry, ladies and gents, because Heartland Championship Wrestling can heat up any venue, large or small! And tonight will be no different. This is HCW's last TV broadcast leading up to Heartland Havoc XXII! The pay-per-view is shaping up to be sensational, but there is still business to be decided before December 20. And the top priority tonight is to determine who will face BRUISER BRODY for the HCW Heavyweight Championship! So, in tonight's main event, it will be the dangerous TAKESHI MORISHIMA against big, bad, BOBO BRAZIL in a number one contenders' match for a shot at the biggest prize in the Heartland! So grab yourself a cold one, relax, and enjoy the show! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)KONNAN vs. GORGEOUS GEORGE (w/ CHERIE DUPRE)Konnan dominated much of the action before George angrily pitched him out of the ring. When Konnan threatened Cherie, George rushed to her defense and rammed Konnan headfirst to the security railing. Joe Kopasz was forced to call for the bell and award the match to Konnan. WINNER: KONNAN(George disqualified for violence outside of the ring)Daytondave: Gotta hand it to Georgie. He may not look like much, but it takes a man to stand up for his woman- even at the cost of a match. And speaking of a man standing up for his woman, the heat continues between RICK RUDE and CHRIS CANDIDO! Rude has had his eye on Candido's girl, and Chris is none to happy about that. They had a serious donnybrook last week- but tonight we're going to take a look at each man in individual competition. CHRIS CANDIDO (w/ TAMMY LYNN SYTCH) vs. TIGER MASKCandido and Liger tore the ring apart in a classic battle featuring athleticism and technique. Candido kept the pace of the match in the ring and kept the pace slow, frustrating Liger's attempted aerial tactics. Candido wore Liger down and delivered a thunderous Blonde Bomb, but Liger managed to kick out and roll to the ring floor. As Liger attempted to recover, "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE made his way to ringside! Rude encountered Liger on the arena floor, grabbed him by the back of the neck, and hurled him into the crowd! Rude moved toward Tammy, but Candido intercepted him and a fierce brawl broke out! It took numerous men from the dressing room, led by BIG JIM THE ENFORCER, to pull apart the brawlers. After the brawl was broken up, Joe Kopasz awarded the match to Tiger Mask by disqualification.WINNER: TIGER MASK(Candido disqualified for outside interference)Daytondave: That didn't take long! Rude and Candido can't keep their animosity in check. Somebody is gonna get busted up before this is over! THE HEADSHRINKERS (ALOFA & SAMU) vs. THE BACKSEAT BOYS (TRENT ACID & JOHNNY KASHMERE)The two newest teams in the Heartland went at it for over 15 minutes in a fast-paced encounter. The momentum shifted repeatedly, until Kashmere nailed Samu with a dropkick! Kashmere followed with a Cradle Breaker, but Samu kicked out. Trent Acid hit the ring and delivered a double-team Backseat Driver! Quick as a flash, Acid knocked Alofa off the ring apron as Kashmere made the cover for the victory. WINNERS: THE BACKSEAT BOYS(Kashmere pinned Samu after a Backseat Driver)Daytondave: Great match! Both the Headshrinkers and the Backseat Boys are going after it with intensity- and that's exactly what it takes to get to the top of the food chain in the Heartland! THE SANDMAN (w/ JONNY FAIRPLAY) vs. "RAVISHING" RICK RUDEBefore the match, Rude got on the ring microphone.Rude: All right, you Fulton County Fatsos... it's time for all you putrid, disgusting, doughnut-eating couch potatoes to watch a REAL sexy man in action! What I'd like to have right now is for that delicious dish TAMMY SYTCH to come down to the ring and help me take off my robe! The crowd boos loudly as Rude waits expectantly for Tammy to come to the ring. After a few moments, no one comes from the locker room, but Rude appears unfazed.Rude: Sure, you losers can boo all you want. The Ravishing One could care less. But I WILL have Tammy Sytch by my side, I promise you that. Chris Candido- I humiliated you last week at Warfare. I embarrassed you as a wrestler. You're not in my league! Next, I am going to humiliate you as a man. You're not in my league in that department either- and I am going to prove that to your girl Tammy. Now ring the bell so these pathetic morons can watch how a real man gets it done in the ring! Once the match began, Rude beat Sandman to within an inch of his life! Sandman was nearly pinned after a piledriver, prompting Fairplay to enter the ring with a steel chair. Rude quickly disarmed Fairplay, and smacked him across the head with the chair! Sandman rushed at Rude, and also ate a chair shot for his troubles. When Joe Kopasz tried to take control, Rude bashed him with the chair, leaving bodies strewn throughout the ring! Rude threw the chair to the mat and stormed out of the ring. WINNER: THE SANDMAN(Rude disqualified for hitting Sandman with a steel chair)As Rude departed from the ring, CHRIS CANDIDO dashed down the aisle and attacked! Candido caught Rude with a Thesz press and began pounding on him with right hands on the arena floor. Once again, BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his security detail was forced into action to separate the melee. This time, COUSIN LUKE came to the ring and personally pulled them men apart. As the men were separated, Rude spat in the face of Candido! Candido was enraged and swung wildly, but Big Jim kept him tightly in his grasp and he was unable to land any more blows. Luke shoved his way between the combatants and called for a microphone.Luke: All y'all stop right NOW! You two fellers are out of hand! Candido: Rude! You pompous jackass! When I get my hands on you I am gonna make you pay! Rude: Yeah, right, Candido. I own you in that ring! I am finished with you. And before long, Tammy will be finished with you too! Candido hears the insult from Rude and starts swinging wildly again, but cannot escape from Big Jim.Luke: I said ENOUGH! Rick Rude, I know you two fellers wanna fight, but you just struck a Heartland Official with a steel chair. I have no choice but to SUSPEND you for one month! Rude rolls his eyes and begins cursing at Luke. Candido grabs the microphone from Luke!Candido: Mr. Luke- sir! For me and for Tammy- this has to end! So please.... don't suspend Rude! Let me get my hands on him in the ring! Luke thinks for a moment.Luke: Well, that might calm things down a bit. Mr. Rude, what do you say? Rude: You want a piece of me, Candido? I'll tell you what. I beat you once, I will do it again. Only this time- when I beat you, I get Tammy for 30 days! Candido stares daggers at Rude.Rude: What's the matter, Chris? You scared? Can't stand up for your pretty little lady? Get out of here, kid. You ain't worth my time, chicken! Candido: What did you just call me? Rude: Did I stutter? Candido: Listen, you muscle-headed wind bag. I ain't no chicken! Rude: Then I get my match? Candido: You get your ass kicked! Rude smirks.Rude: That sounds like a "yes" to me. Luke- sign the match! Luke: Now wait just a gol' durn minute, Rude. You ain't getting off that easy. You got yer match at Heartland Havoc XXII. BUT- if you lose that match, yer suspended- for TWO months!Rude scowls at Luke, rubbing his chin. He makes a lunge at Luke before Candido interrupts.Candido: What's the matter, Rude? You scared? Rude snarls.Rude: Punk- you got your match. You just tell that little lady of yours to get ready for thirty days of paradise with a REAL sexy man! Rude sneers again and shakes himself free of the grip of the security guard. He brushes himself off and struts out of the ring area as Big Jim keeps a tight grip on Candido.Daytondave: What about THAT, sports fans! Candido and Rude at Havoc with some incredible stipulations! Will Rude get his hands on Tammy? Or will he get a two-month suspension? That's one match I gotta see! SABU vs. MIKE QUACKENBUSHSabu assaulted Quackenbush from the opening bell, nailing him with an Arabian Facebuster in the opening moments. Before Quack could recover, Sabu drilled him with a Triple Jump Moonsault and covered him for the pinfall! WINNER: SABU(Sabu pinned Quackenbush after a Triple Jump Moonsault)Daytondave: Do you believe that? I've never seen Mike Quackenbush get his tail kicked like that! I don't think my man Quack is cut out for that degree of brutality. For that matter, no human being on earth is cut out for that! Sabu is one of a kind. GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION STEVE CORINO vs. NECRO BUTCHERIn typical "King of Old School" fashion, Corino took Necro to the mat with a powerslam and controlled the action. When Necro charged in wildly, Corino dropped him with a Superkick and finished him off cleanly. WINNER: STEVE CORINO(Corino pinned Necro after an Old School Expulsion)Daytondave: That Superkick was devastating! You really have to get some power behind that move if you're gonna put a dent in a noggin like Necro's. MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH TAKESHI MORISHIMA vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)Morishima fought against the odds in his confrontation with Bobo. After the Japanese giant took control, Slick took his man out of the ring for some strategizing! Bobo returned with momentum, but didn't have the power to overcome his huge foe. Slick wasn't finished, interrupting the count after a Morishima pin attempt, but Takeshi got to his feet and pounded Slick out of the ring! Brazil was still staggered, and fell victim to the Saito Suplex for a decisive defeat! WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Morishima pinned Brazil after a Saito Suplex)Daytondave: Morishima just rocked both Slick and Bobo for a monster victory! It will be Morishima versus BRUISER BRODY in the main event at Heartland Havoc XXII, and what a collision that will be! Fans, Heartland Havoc is shaping up to be a HOT card. Along with the Heartland Heavyweight Championship, we'll see the high stakes confrontation between RICK RUDE and CHRIS CANDIDO! And don't forget, the Candy Cup confrontation between DANNY HODGE and MIKE QUACKENBUSH. Heartland Havoc XXII is slated for December 20- and it should be one of the hottest pay-per-views in Heartland history. Until then, fans, that's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE!

All three are dressed in black tuxedos. Streamers fall from the ceiling as the tune "Black and Blue" by Van Halen plays overhead. ( ) MISS BERTHA joins Luke, dressed in a short black cocktail dress and perched precariously on high heels as she wriggles her hips in time to the music. Luke smiles broadly as JR appears nauseous. Daytondave puts on a pair of sunglasses as he steps forward to address the packed arena.Daytondave: Welcome, fans of the HCW! Tonight is the night for Heartland Havoc XXII! We'll also see the Old School United States Championship contested, as BOBBY HEENAN leads his man, RAY "THE CRIPPLER STEVENS, into the ring to challenge the current title holder, THE DESTROYER! Fans- we have just gotten word of an incident taking place backstage! Let's get our backstage crew to give us a report on the action! WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS- what is going on? Wildman: JR- Warfare Combat Champion THE MISSING LINK has been attacked backstage! Of course you know, the Combat Championship is defended under 24/7 rules- and TITO SANTANA has jumped Link in the locker room! The camera arrives backstage to reveal Santana and Link pounding away at each other! Link drives a knee into the gut of Santana, doubling him over. He grabs Tito by the back of the neck and drives him face first into the lockers! Santana goes down, and Link stomps him furiously. Link turns over a table, grabbing a steel chair! Before Santana can get to his feet, Link waffles him across the back! Santana goes down in a heap on the floor.Wildman: The fight is on, JR! I can see referee HEATHER OWENS headed in this direction to watch the action! JR: Thanks for the update, Wildman! Fans, we already have a match waiting in the ring! We'll keep you informed about the Combat Championship brawl, and if anything is decided back there, we'll have that footage for you. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. NO DISQUALIFICATION GRUDGE MATCH: HARLEY RACE vs. KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)(Referee: Charles Robinson)In the first major grudge match of the evening, the infuriated Harley Race came out with a vengeance! Race dominated Bundy all over the ring, nearly scoring a victory after dropping him with a spinning neckbreaker. When Cornette came in and interrupted the pinfall, Race clotheslined him over the top rope, sending him tumbling to the concrete! Race pursued Cornette, but Bundy cut him off and a brawl broke out on the arena floor. Bundy attempted to smash Race onto the ring steps, but Harley reversed the move and smashed Kong's head solidly onto the steel. With Brody stunned, Race lifted him for another piledriver on the floor! Cornette screamed madly, and STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON dashed to ringside to attack Race. The Midnights were able to take advantage against Race, stomping him to the ground. They pulled Race up to his knees, where Cornette prepared to swing his tennis racket, but HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN roared in from back stage swinging his 2x4! Cornette dropped his racket and dashed away to safety as Duggan and Race brawled with Bundy and the Midnights. Despite being outnumbered, Harley and Hacksaw beat back Cornette's men and the battle raged until Heartland Security, led by BIG JIM THE ENFORCER, got the situation under control. MATCH RESULT: NO CONTESTJR: What an opening to tonight's broadcast! We've only had one scheduled match take place, but already two huge brawls are taking place! Nothing has been settled between Race and Cornette. Wildman, what is going on backstage? The scene returns to the hallway in the backstage area. Santana is down on the floor, and Link climbs onto a steel crate, preparing to leap onto Tito with a double axe-handle blow. But Santana recovers, and grabs Link on the crate. Santana hurls Link to the concrete floor! Link crashes down hard, clearly in pain. Tito immediately wraps Link into a figure-4 leglock! Link howls furiously and pounds on his own chest with his fists as he fights through the pain.Wildman: Would you look at that, fans? Link is trapped in the figure-4 but he refuses to submit! Link finally has the presence of mind to reach over and grab a nearby mop, which he drives into the stomach of Santana. Tito is forced to break the hold and both men stagger to their feet.JR: Thanks for the update, Wildman! Things are out of control back there! But we have another match ready in the ring, so let's take a look at the Warfare Cruiserweights! JOHN CANDY CRUISERWEIGHT CUP: MIKE QUACKENBUSH (c) vs. DANNY HODGE(Referee: Joe Kopasz)The much-anticipated match-up between Quackenbush and Hodge exceeded expectations! Hodge kept the match at a slow pace, grinding together chain wrestling moves on the mat. He stretched Quackenbush repeatedly, wearing his foe down with a grueling abdominal stretch and repeated applications of the Boston Crab. But Quack fought back, picking up the tempo of the match with a series of running palm strikes and flooring Hodge with his unorthodox arm drags. The rugged Hodge took the match to the arena floor, but Quackenbush was up to the task, twice getting the edge in the free-for-all, then sending Hodge back into the ring where he delivered an amazing Swanton Dive! Hodge kicked out of the pinfall, then grabbed Quackenbush by the tights and hurled him out of the ring. This time, Hodge got the best of the champion and planted him with a suplex on the concrete floor. Quackenbush was unable to return to the ring as Joe Kopasz delivered a 10-count and awarded the decision to Hodge by countout. After the bell, Hodge grabbed a microphone and shouted at Quackenbush. Hodge: I gotta hand it to ya, kid. You showed me a little more gumption than I expected tonight. But I still ain't impressed. Your flippin' and your floppin' ain't the way to win a wrestling match. Next time I get my hands on you, I'm gonna wear you out. I'm gonna prove to you that I am the best daggone cruiserweight in this business! WINNER: DANNY HODGE(Quackenbush counted out after suplex on arena floor)Daytondave: I don't believe either man is satisfied with that result. Both men brought everything they had into this contest, but it looks like this is a rivalry that is destined to continue. Hodge just laid down another challenge. Let's see what Commissioner Luke has to say about that! Luke, what do you think? The camera shifts up to the Commissioner's box. Cousin Luke and Miss Bertha are sitting together in a love seat. Bertha has shed her high heels, and her size 13 feet are strewn across Luke's lap. Luke is smiling broadly and painting Bertha's toenails.Daytondave: Luke? Sir? Do you have a ruling on Danny Hodge's challenge? Luke: Dadgum it, Daytondave! You of all people oughta know not to interrupt a feller in the middle of courtin'. Now git that camera outta here! Daytondave: You're right, Mr. Commissioner. We'll check with you about that later. JR: I think I just threw up a little in the back of my mouth. Before JR can continue, MISSING LINK and TITO SANTANA burst through the curtain, still brawling fiercely! Link catches Tito by the back of the head and drops him hard on the steel ramp with a DDT! Tito rolls over, dazed, with a nasty gash across his forehead! Link goes for the elbow drop, but Santana alertly rolls aside. Link crashes hard onto the ramp, stunned. Referee Heather Owens begins to put the count on both men. RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS and BOBBY HEENAN emerge through the curtain. Heenan stands over Santana briefly, poking Tito with his toe and watching for signs of life. Stevens looks down at Link, shrugs his shoulders and heads to the ring.HCW OLD SCHOOL UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPTHE DESTROYER (c) vs. RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)(Referee: Charles Robinson)Destroyer and Stevens hooked up in a highly competitive match. The advantage went back and forth, and Destroyer gradually took control after 15 minutes. Destroyer locked in the figure-4, and it appeared that Stevens was finished until Bobby Heenan managed to assist him to reach the bottom rope. In frustration, Destroyer went to the floor and chased Heenan away from ringside! But Stevens took advantage of the distraction and regained his strength. The Crippler caught The Destroyer coming off the ropes and slung him throat-first across the top rope! Destroyer went down hard and Stevens took advantage, going immediately to the top turnbuckle and delivering the Bombs Away to capture the pinfall! WINNER: RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned The Destroyer after a Bombs Away)RAY STEVENS CAPTURES THE UNITED STATES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: A terrific bout! Both men came with their best tonight, but Bobby The Brain gave Stevens just the advantage he needed to come away victorious. Congratulations to The Crippler on his first taste of HCW gold! At the top of the ring ramp, both Link and Santana have recovered and are staggering to their feet. Link picks up a steel chain and wraps it around his fist. Santana lunges at him, but Link delivers a mighty blow with the chain. Santana goes down hard. He returns to his feet, wobbly and bleeding profusely from the forehead as he stumbles through the curtain. Link pursues him back stage and Heather Owens follows.Daytondave: Santana has adorned the proverbial crimson mask! I think our man may have bitten off more than he can chew. We'll have Butch Michaels keep an eye on that situation while we go back to the ring for another exciting match. CHRIS CANDIDO has had his hands full of RICK RUDE, and tonight that feud comes to a head! If Candido can defeat Rude tonight, the Ravishing One will face a 60-day suspension! But, if Rude wins, TAMMY LYNN SYTCH will belong to him for one month. Who will prevail? WARFARE GRUDGE MATCH: SPECIAL STIPULATIONS "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE vs. CHRIS CANDIDO (w/ TAMMY LYNN SYTCH)(Referee: Joe Kopasz)The hatred between Candido and Rude exploded yet again! Rude dominated the early stages of the match, pummeling Candido with high impact clotheslines and a top rope sledgehammer. Candido escaped to the ring floor, where he attacked Rude with everything he could get his hands on! Candido landed a mighty shot to Rude's head with the ring bell, dropping him to the floor in a daze. Tammy cheered as her man tossed Rude back into the ring. But Rude was far from finished, rallying again with a knee to the face of the charging Candido. That was all the opening that Rude needed to set up the Rude Awakening. Three seconds later, Rude emerged victorious. WINNER: "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE(Rude pinned Candido after a Rude Awakening)After the decision, Rude turned his attention to Tammy. He smirked and began to swivel his hips! Tammy scowled and turned away, running up the ramp. But before she could escape, BIG JIM THE ENFORCER caught her! Jim hoisted her onto his shoulder and carried her back toward the ring. Rude met Jim halfway up the ramp, picked up Tammy and carried her through the curtain. Candido staggered to his feet in the ring and kicked at the ropes in frustration.Daytondave: That is a travesty of the highest magnitude, fans. Chris Candido just saw the love of his life taken away from him and there's nothing he can do about it. Of course, I have NO IDEA what he is going through- I've never been jilted by a lady in all my days as a chick magnet. And poor Tammy, she is stuck with Rick Rude for the next 30 days! Fans- the brawl between Link and Santana rages on back stage! Wildman, give us an update! Wildman: Daytondave, it's out of control back here! Link has chased Santana back to the concession area! The camera follows as Santana and Link brawl through concession stand. Santana grabs Link by the arm and whips him into the popcorn maker! Link crashes through the glass, sending popcorn flying everywhere. Link stumbles to his feet, as the camera reveals a deep cut in his back. Santana charges at Link with a clothesline, knocking him back onto the grill! Link shrieks as his back lands on the hot metal, searing his flesh before he drops to the floor. Tito immediately grabs him by the leg and wraps him into the Figure-4! Still howling in pain, Link taps out, and Heather Owens quickly pulls Santana away and calls for security to provide assitance. Both men lie on the concession stand floor, beaten and broken as paramedics arrive on the scene. WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana forced Link to submit to the Figure-4 Leglock)TITO SANTANA CAPTURES THE HCW WARFARE COMBAT CHAMPIONSHIPDaytondave: Fans, that is the kind of action that Warfare is about! I don't know whether to congratulate Tito Santana, or to offer my condolences- now that he holds the belt, he has to watch his back constantly! Here's hoping that both Santana and Missing Link will recover quickly and without serious injury. That was one helluva brawl! JR: No question about that, Daytondave. Finally, fans, it is time for tonight's main event! The biggest prize of all, the Heartland Heavyweight Championship, is on the line in our final match of the evening. MAIN EVENT: HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BRUISER BRODY (c) vs. TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Referee: Nick Patrick)In a stunning contest, Morishima opened with a flurry and quickly put the champion on the defensive! Morishima exploded off the ropes and planted Brody with a flying forearm. Before he could recover, Morishima nailed him with a Running Hip Attack! Brody was stunned, and Morishima quickly took advantage, delivering a devastating Powerbomb Hold and pinning the champion cleanly! WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Morishima pinned Brody after a Powerbomb Hold)TAKESHI MORISHIMA WINS THE HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Congratulations to Takeshi Morishima! This superstar from Pro Wrestling NOAH has captured the top title in Heartland Championship Wrestling! No question, this event will make international news! Daytondave: You got that right, JR! They said it couldn't be done! But Brody proved himself human tonight, and is now a FORMER HCW Champion. He will most assuredly exercise his rematch clause and get back in the ring with Morishima for what should be an epic return bout! COMMISSIONER LUKE makes his way to the ring to present Morishima with the title belt. A Japanese contingent of TIGER MASK, JUSHIN LIGER, GIANT BABA, and ANTONIO INOKI joined Morishima in the celebration. Brody stomped the mat in frustration, then shook the hand of the new champion and left the ring. Daytondave: Fans, it has been a helluva night here at the UD Arena! Three title changes! Not to mention some serious bloodshed. We thank you for joining us for tonight's show. HCW will be back on Wednesday night with the next episode of Warfare! We expect to hear from the Commissioner on a number of issues, including the response to the challenge laid down by DANNY HODGE for another shot at MIKE QUACKENBUSH and the Cruiserweight Cup.. So until then, fans, that's our show and WE ARE OUTTA HERE!

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare December 24, 2008 (Card #183) Weaner Center, Defiance, Ohio The show opens with Warfare GM DAYTONDAVE in the ring, dressed in a red Ben Sherman velvet blazer, green shirt, and black Santorelli slacks as he addresses the crowd.Daytondave: Merry Christmas! Fans, good evening and welcome from the metropolis of Defiance, Ohio for tonight's episode of Warfare! Everyone has their Christmas spirit on tonight! But before we get started, let's bring out a VERY special guest! The music, "Jingle Bells" plays overhead as SANTA CLAUS makes his way down the aisle alongside RUDOLF THE RED-NOSED REINDEER.Daytondave: Santa Claus! Santa: Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas! Have you been a good boy this year, Daytondave? Daytondave: Let's just say, I am surprised to see you here tonight, Santa. Santa: Ho, ho, ho! You naughty boy! Daytondave: I'm not the only one. I happen to know that YOU have been naughty yourself! Santa: Now, now, Daytondave. Be a good feller and hush up about that! Daytondave: Okay, Santa. Fans, we have a great night of action for you tonight! But first, a special announcement from HCW Commissioner COUSIN LUKE! Santa: Uh, Daytondave? Luke ain't here tonight. Daytondave: He ain't? Santa: Naw. But he sent you this! Santa hands Daytondave an envelope. Daytondave tears open the envelope and reads it. Meanwhile, Santa and Rudolf depart.Santa: Merry Christmas to all y'all! And to all y'all a good night! Daytondave: I could swear I've seen that guy somewhere before... but anyhow, fans, it's time to get to business! Let's get some wrestling action started! (Tonight's referee: Heather Owens)CHRIS CANDIDO vs. GEORGEOUS GEORGE (w/ CHERIE DUPRE)Candido came out an angry man and tore through George, powerslamming him viciously to the mat and pinning him in under one minute! WINNER: CHRIS CANDIDO(Candido pinned George after a Power Slam)Daytondave: How about that, fans? Candido is one pissed off man- and I pity the dude who gets in his way! Now, fans, we really DO have an announcement from COMMISSIONER LUKE. Come on down! COMMISSIONER LUKE comes down to the ring, accompanied by MISS BERTHA.Daytondave: Miss Bertha! How lovely to see you. Ummm.. did you forget to take off your Rudolf nose? Luke: Um... Daytondave... that's her real nose... Daytondave: Oops... my bad. So, Luke, what's on your mind? Luke: The HCW Tag Team Championship! One week from tonight! OX BAKER and LARRY ZBYSZKO will be right here at Warfare to defend the belts! Daytondave: That's right, my man! TITO SANTANA and PEPPER GOMEZ have earned that title shot- right here next week! But I got a message from Santa Claus... it's signed by Tito Santana's doctor. It says that Tito is unable to wrestle for the next three weeks! He got banged up pretty badly in that Combat match at Heartland Havoc. He has requested that their title match be postponed. What are you going to do about that, Mr. Commissioner? Luke: No can do, Daytondave. The tag champions have a 30-day time limit to defend the belts! If Tito can't wrestle, we'll hafta find someone to take his place. PEPPER GOMEZ strides to the ring angrily.Gomez: No, Senor Luke! You must not divide the men of Peligroso! I cannot face the champions without my amigo Tito at my side! Luke: Sorry, feller. I done searched high and low. You know, Pepe, there are lots of the boys angry with you after what you and Tito done to that Muskrat feller. Daytondave: Mil Mascaras? Luke: Yeah, him. But I finally found you a partner for your title match. And I signed you two for a match later tonite! Gomez hangs his head in dismay as Luke departs.Daytondave: Well, fans, I guess later tonight we'll learn the identity of Pepper Gomez' partner for the championship match! Now, let's see some more action in the ring. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH vs. TIGER MASKQuackenbush and Tiger Mask put on a high-flying exhibition of spectacular moves! Quack wrestled a smart match, keeping inside of the ring and preventing Tiger Mask from launching his vaunted aerial attacks. As Quackenbush began to prevail, DANNY HODGE came to ringside and grabbed him by the ankle! Heather Owens quickly had Hodge removed from ringside, but Tiger Mask grabbed the momentum and leveled Quack with a Jumping Spin Kick! Tiger Mask rallied, but the resilient Quackenbush weathered the storm and mounted a comeback of his own. Tiger Mask went for an aggressive charge into the turnbuckle, but Quackenbush lifted a knee and sent Mask sprawling. Quackenbush immediately dropped Toger Mask with a Quackendriver and scored an impressive victory! WINNER: MIKE QUACKENBUSH(Quackenbush pinned Tiger Mask after a Quackendriver II)Daytondave: There is your Candy Cup holder, ladies and gentlemen! Quackenbush just got the best of one of the greatest high-flyers in the world. He has every right to lay claim to the title of the Best Cruiserweight on the Planet, whether Danny Hodge likes it or not! As the next match is being prepared, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE strides to the top of the ramp and takes a microphone.Page: People of Ohio- check this out! Me and my man Playboy would like to introduce you to our new friend and manager. Put your hands together for the new face of the High Rollers- the JERSEY GIRL, TRINITY DENUCCI!THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE w/ TRINITY DENUCCI) vs. BLOODLUST (JUSTIN CREDIBLE & DRAKE YOUNGER w/ JONNY FAIRPLAY)The duo of Bloodlust, with an assist from Jonny Fairplay, knocked off the High Rollers tonight. Jonny kept referee Heather Owens distracted while Justin Credible worked over Buddy Rose with the Singapore Cane to set up the victory. WINNERS: BLOODLUST(Credible pinned Rose after a Short Power Bomb)Daytondave: I don't know much about this Trinity chick, but she didn't prove to be very useful for the Rollers tonight. You gotta be one dumb dame to get outsmarted by Jonny Fairplay. And speaking of dames... let's see how TAMMY LYNN SYTCH is getting along with her new beau! On cue, "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE appears at the top of the ramp, dressed in his sequined robe. He reaches back stage and pulls TAMMY LYNN SYTCH to his side. Tammy is in tears as Rude pulls her to the ring. She is dressed in a tiny black bikini, and tries to cover herself as Rude roughly drags her down the ramp. As they reach ringside, CHRIS CANDIDO bursts through the curtain and dashes toward the ring! Tammy shrieks as Candido heads down the aisle, but BIG JIM THE ENFORCER is on the spot. Jim intercepts Candido and forces him back to the dressing room as Tammy cries out to him. Jim escorts Candido back to the locker room as Rude hits the ring to start the match."RAVISHING" RICK RUDE (w/ TAMMY LYNN SYTCH) vs. STEVE CORINOThe match turned into an all-out war between Rude and Corino! The Ravishing One dominated the early stages of the match, delivering a pair of Rude Awakenings onto Corino and leaving him virtually out cold on the mat. But Rude took to showboating, pulling Corino off the canvas for a piledriver. As Rude swiveled his hips toward Tammy, Corino slipped out of the ring and retrieved a baseball bat from under the ring! Corino caught Rude in the stomach with the bat, and the momentum turned. Corino worked over Rude with suplexes and slams, and accumulated multiple near falls as the fans cheered and Tammy squealed with delight. But Rude survived the onslaught and fought back, stunning Corino with a knee lift and dropping him with a spinning neckbreaker. Finally focused on his objective, Rude came off the top rope with a kneedrop onto the fallen Corino and put him down for the three count. WINNER: "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE(Rude pinned Corino after a top rope kneedrop)Daytondave: What a match, fans! Corino gave Rude all he could handle in that match. Hopefully Rude learned a thing or two about underestimating an opponent. Tammy still doesn't look very happy to be carted around like a possession, This is only going to inflate Rude's ego that much more. PEPPER GOMEZ & TOM PRICHARD vs. THE BACKSEAT BOYZ (JOHNNY KASHMERE & TRENT ACID)The makeshift team of Gomez & Prichard got off to a rocky start, with Prichard being dominated by Trent Acid. Gomez looked disgusted at the s;uggish performance of his partner, until Prichard foiled an attempted double-team by hitting the Boyz with a vicious double clothesline! Gomez tagged into the match and immediately took control, smashing Acid with a Mexican Leap, and stunning Kashmere with a flurry of Monkey Flips. But the Boyz put their team chemistry to good use, tagging frequently and keeping relatively fresh. Gomez wore down and tagged Prichard back into the match, but the Boys caught him with the T-Gimmick. Gomez saved his partner from a pin attempt, but as Heather Owens cleared him out of the ring, the Boyz delivered a crushing double dropkick to Prichard. Kashmere made the cover as Heather turned her attention back to the action and counted the pinfall. WINNERS: THE BACKSEAT BOYZ(Kashmere pinned Prichard after a Double Dropkick) Daytondave: The Backseat Boyz continue to impress! These guys are now 3-0 in HCW competition. Gomez and Prichard showed a few flashes of adequacy. Gomez is a genuine tough guy in the ring, and Prichard is a wily and experienced tag team wrestler. But one warm-up match, in my opinion, is not gonna be enough to prepare them for the tag team champions. Heenan will have his team ready to go to work in next week's title match, and Baker and Zbyszko will have to be your prohibitive favorites to retain the titles. MAIN EVENT: HCW WARFARE AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP- QUALIFYING MATCH DANNY HODGE vs. THE SANDMAN (w/ JONNY FAIRPLAY)Hodge took no prisoners in this important match. He took the fight directly to the Sandman with a straight-on scientific dismantling, forcing a submission in under three minutes. WINNER: DANNY HODGE(Hodge forced Sandman to tap out to an Indian Deathlock)Daytondave: Now THAT was impressive! Danny Hodge may have failed in his first shot at the Candy Cup, but he was unstoppable tonight! Hodge is now in line for a shot to become the first ever American Heavyweight Champion! But you can rest assured that he will face a monumental task to capture that belt. Next week's qualifying match will pit MIL MASCARAS against SABU for the right to battle Hodge for the belt. That bout will be part of an exciting Double Main Event on next week's broadcast of Warfare. Of course, the biggest match of the night will be for the HCW Tag Team Championship, as we will see BOBBY HEENAN lead his champions, OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO, into a title defense against PEPPER GOMEZ and TOM PRICHARD. You won't want to miss next week's episode. And of course, be sure to tune in on Saturday night for the Old School broadcast featuring JR JAMES. We'll be back on New Year's Eve! Until then, fans, that's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE! Warfare American Champion: Warfare Tag Team Champions: Warfare Combat Champion: TITO SANTANA

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night December 27, 2008 (Card #184) Memorial Athletic Center, Kent, Ohio The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring. Before JR can begin his introduction, BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN parades to the ring.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to HCW Old School Saturday Night! We have an outstanding card planned for you this evening! The time has come for Old School to crown a Great Lakes Champion, and in our main event tonight, we will see the first qualifying match for that championship as NICK BOCKWINKEL faces off against BOBO BRAZIL. Also, I am pleased to be joined by Bobby "The Brain" Heenan here this evening. Mr. Heenan, this is certainly a surprise! Heenan: It's a surprise to me too, Mr. Old School. It's a surprise that you have failed to recognize that you are in the presence of greatness. In case you may have missed it, humanoids, my man RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS is your new United States Heavyweight Champion! How do you like them apples? JR: No question, it was a fine performance by Stevens. The Crippler is to be congratulated! Heenan: And another thing, dummy. Don't forget about my Tag Team Champions! JR: Indeed, Mr. Heenan, your team of OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO has a stranglehold on the HCW Tag Team Championship. Heenan: And did you see those two ham-and-eggers that are challenging for the belts on New Year's Eve? TOM PRICHARD & PEPPER GOMEZ? That's the best that Warfare has to offer? JR: Perhaps if Daytondave were more concerned about promoting and less interested in the night life, then his product would be more competitive. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Charles Robinson)HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TAG TOURNAMENT: SEMI-FINALS DON MURACO, NICK BOCKWINKEL & THE CRUSHER vs. BOBBY EATON, STAN LANE, & KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)After a tightly contested bout, Muraco surprised Bundy dodging a clothesline and nailing the big man with a backbreaker to win it! WINNERS: DON MURACO, NICK BOCKWINKEL & THE CRUSHER(Muraco pinned Bundy after a Backbreaker)JR: What an impressive show of strength by Don Muraco! Heenan: Not bad. But I doubt if he could pull off a move like that against Big Daddy Elmer. You see, Cornette can't recruit a big man the way I do. I have a much better eye for talent. JR: Whatever you say, Brain. Muraco and his team advance to the finals of the Heartland Six-Man Tag Tournament with $30,000 on the line! DICK HUTTON vs. STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMSWilliams overpowered Hutton and dominated this match from the outset. Dr. Death hit Hutton with a pair of Backdrop Drivers, and it looked like the outcome was decided. But when Williams went for a clothesline against the turnbuckle, Charles Robinson inadvertently took the blow and tumbled out of the ring. Williams continued to punish Hutton, ramming him headfirst to the security railing outside the ring. Hutton could easily have been counted out, but referee Robinson was still woosy and the match continued. Hutton finally turned the tide and worked his way back into the match. After punishing Williams with an Abdominal Stretch, Hutton took the match to the mat and outwrestled his foe. After Doc kicked out of an Oklahoma Sideroll, Hutton lifted him into a crushing Atomic Drop to capture the victory! WINNER: DICK HUTTON(Hutton pinned Williams after an Atomic Drop)JR: That was a remarkable comeback victory by Dick Hutton indeed. Heenan: I thought Williams had him dead to rights in the first ten minutes. JR: Those two big Sooners put on a heck of a show tonight. Hutton has knocked off a couple of tough oppoenents here in his Old School tenure. GIANT BABA vs. JOHNNY VALENTINEBaba and Valentine wore each other out in a very evenly matched bout. But Valentine proved himself to be a half-step better in the end, tapping out an exhausted foe. WINNER: JOHNNY VALENTINE(Valentine forced Baba to submit to an Abdominal Stretch)JR: Another terrific match-up indeed between two of the true legends of the sport! Didn't Valentine beat your guy RAY STEVENS a few weeks back? Heenan: I don't see him wearing the United States Championship, JR. So what does it matter? JR: It matters, Brain, because those two may well be on the road to another confrontation inside the squared circle. Heenan: We'll be ready for him, JR. I didn't get to be the manager of champions by accident. JR: I can't argue with that logic, Bobby. Let's see some more action in the ring. We have a tag team match up next, pitting two teams which have really struggled lately. TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & ANGELO MOSCA) vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (IRON SHEIK & FRITZ VON GOERING w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)The frustrations were evident on both sides from the opening bell. Mosca started with a cheap shot on Von Goering to put his team in control. But Fritz quickly took matters to the arena floor, slamming Mosca face first to the steel steps. Sheik tagged into the match and the brutality continued. The Iranian floored Mosca with a loaded boot, then latched on the Camel Clutch. Mountie had seen enough, and dug his fingers into the Sheik's eyes, forcing him to break the clutch. Charles Robinson struggled to control the mayhem. Mosca escaped the clutch and caught Sheik in a Sleeper Hold! This prompted von Goering to remove his boot and pound Mosca across the back of the head. Mosca went down in a heap, and Robinson finally called for the bell and disqualified Von Goering for the infraction. WINNERS: TEAM CANADA(Von Goering disqualified for use of a foreign object)Following the match, Iron Sheik berated von Goering for yet another loss. Von Goering shoved Sheik, and the two partners came to blows! Sheik floored Fritz with a clubbing forearm blow, and began kicking him viciously with his loaded boots. Breznikov joined in, putting the boots to the fallen von Goering. Finally, Sheik and Breznikov turned to leave the ring, abandoning Von Goering in a crumpled heap.Heenan: Hey, Breznikov! You call that a tag team? That's pathetic. First Volkoff, and now Von Goering have been kicked to the curb. What kind of a dumbkopf are you? Breznikov turns and marches back to the announcers' table.Breznikov: SILENCE! I will not tolerate your insults! Heenan: What are YOU going to do? Russkie, you ain't worth my time. Since it looks like your tag team is kaput, maybe I can hire you to work for me. That hat makes you look like a limo driver! Maybe you can drive my HCW Tag Team Champions to the arena. You'll probably learn a thing or two about tag team wrestling in the process! What do you say, Comrade? Iron Sheik: Hach-ptooie! You American maggot must not insult this dignified gentleman! Iron Sheik swings a forearm across the announcer's table. He catches a glancing blow to Heenan's head, sending him sprawling onto the arena floor. Sheik and Breznikov begin putting the boots to Heenan until BIG DADDY ELMER emerges from the locker room! Elmer scowls and strides boldly to ringside, causing Sheik and Breznikov to scurry for the exit. But before Elmer can come to the aid of his fallen manager, he is attacked by a figure coming out of the crowd! HILLBILLY JIM clobbers Elmer from the blind side and knocks him to the floor. Jim: You dadburned polecat! You know how long I been waiting to get my hands on you? Elmer staggers to his feet. Jim lunges at him, and the two engage in a fierce brawl. Heenan makes it to his feet and charges into the fray as officials stream out of the locker room. Elmer and Jim are pulled apart, still shouting and lunging at each other.JR: Hold it! Hold it right there! Security- don't take these guys anywhere! You two want to fight? You'll do it TONIGHT- right here in Kent, Ohio! Fans, you are in for a special treat tonight- a no-disqualification, main event grudge match! The fans cheer as Hillbilly Jim glares at Elmer. Elmer spits into his hands and rubs them together, ready to scuffle again. But cooler heads prevail as the two hillbillies are escorted back to the dressing area.JR: Wow! Hillbilly Jim has returned- and there is no question what's on his agenda. Thank heavens that security was able to quell that situation before things really got out of control. And yet to come tonight- the big scuffle between Jim and Elmer! But before we get to that monumental confrontation, let's head back to the ring for another match. HARLEY RACE vs. MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ SLICK)Slick paid dividends in a big way tonight! Race was firmly in control and executed a devastating piledriver on Superstar. But Slick jumped onto the apron and distracted Charles Robinson, allowing Superstar to stun Race with a low blow! Harley never recovered, and Superstar capitalized to ride the momentum to victory. WINNER: MASKED SUPERSTAR(Superstar pinned Race after a Spinning Neckbreaker)JR: No question, this has not been one of Charles Robinson's better nights. Slick played him like a cheap fiddle in that contest. But in the end, it is the Masked Superstar who goes to the pay window. Fans, I have just been informed of a situation taking place backstage! Let's get a camera back there and see if WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS can give us a report! The camera appears backstage, where BOBO BRAZIL is fighting off an attack in the locker room. NIKITA BREZNIKOV is diracting traffic as THE IRON SHEIK and two accomplices are putting the boots to Brazil.Wildman: JR, Bobo Brazil is under attack! I don't know where they came from, but THE VACHON BROTHERS are assisting Iron Sheik and Nikita Breznikov! MASKED SUPERSTAR rushes to the scene and begins shoving Vachons left and right. Sheik and Breznikov scatter and Brazil gets to his feet. He appears to be okay as Superstar escorts him to the ring. Breznikov marches to Butch Michaels and shouts into the camera.Breznikov: Heartland, you are fools! There will be no retreat for the Foreign Legion! We eliminate the weak and we consolidate the strong. Destruction to the evil Americans! Butch looks into the camera and signals to cut off the transmission. After a moment, the scene returns to the ring.JR: What a deranged lunatic! Bobo Brazil was lucky to get out of there alive. But Bobo- and the entire Old School roster- now has the Vachon Brothers to deal with! Let's see how Bobo will fare in this qualifying match for the Great Lakes Championship. GREAT LAKES CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH NICK BOCKWINKLE vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)Brazil appeared a step slow after the locker room attack, but still gave Bockwinkel a stiff test. The bout was rugged, with action spilling outside the ring on several occasions and neither man taking a step back. In the end, Bockwinkel was the better man on this occasion, managing to put aside Bobo and move ahead for a Great Lakes title match. WINNER: NICK BOCKWINKEL(Bockwinkel forced Brazil to submit to the Bockwinkel Sleeper)JR: That has got to be a disappointment to Brazil. To come this far, and be the victim of a deranged attack by the likes of Iron Sheik and Nikita Breznikov, is a crying shame. This Foreign Legion has picked a dangerous man to antagonize indeed. But now, fans, an unexpected surprise is in store for you as we have a special Main Event! MAIN EVENT: NO-DISQUALIFICATION GRUDGE MATCH HILLBILLY JIM vs. "BIG DADDY" ELMER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)The angry hillbillies threw down in a brawl of epic proportions! Elmer pounded away at Jim with haymakers, but Jim fired back with lefts and rights. Elmer hurled Jim out of the ring and slammed his face into the steel ring steps! Jim was staggered, but managed to pounce on Elmer in the ring and nail him with a falling elbow drop. Elmer went for the Hillbilly Splash, nearly crushing Jim, but Jim managed to kick out! Jim caught Elmer at the turnbuckle with a stunning boot to the face! Elmer went down, and Jim came off the turnbuckle with a powerful elbow drop. Elmer was in trouble, so Heenan charged into the ring- but Jim caught him coming and clotheslined him over the top rope! As Elmer staggered to his feet, Jim clamped on a massive Bear Hug. It didn't take long before the weary Uncle was incapacitated. Charles Robinson dropped the arm three times and called for the bell as the fans went berserk! WINNER: HILLBILLY JIM(Jim forced Elmer to submit to a Bear Hug)JR: What a return for Hillbilly Jim! I am confident that wasn't the first scuffle that these two have had, but the animosity tonight was indeed palpable. Jim got the best of his uncle on this occasion, but I am sure Big Daddy will not rest until recompense is served. Fans, we do thank you for joining us tonight! Don't forget about the HCW Tag Team Championship match on Warfare thie Wednesday night, New Year's Eve! And of course, ladies and gentlemen, Old School will be back with you this coming Saturday night at 6:05 pm. Be sure to tune in next week, when we will crown the first-ever Old School Tag Team Champions! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare December 31, 2008 (Card #185) Rotary Lions Community Center, Napoleon, Ohio The show opens with Warfare GM DAYTONDAVE in the ring in the small local community center. He is decked out in an Elie Tahari blazer as he addresses the festive holiday crowd.Daytondave: Hey, fans, HCW Warfare continues its tour of small-town USA with a special New Year's Eve edition of Wednesday Night Warfare! It's a big night for Warfare, fans, as tonight we will see the HCW Tag Team Champions LARRY ZBYSZKO & OX BAKER in action. BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN brings his men to town to defend the tag titles in our main event against PEPPER GOMEZ & TOM PRICHARD. We also have a loaded undercard for you, so let's get it started! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)As Joe Kopasz prepares the ring, LARRY SWEENEY struts to the top of the ramp with a microphone.Sweeney: Listen up, you losers! This is Larry Sweeney, Super Agent representing Sweet and Sour, Incorporated! I am here tonight to introduce my newest acquisition. Larry Sweeney is the man with the plan, and the Corporation needs a man to maintain law and order. So I have recruited one of the legendary enforcers in the wrestling business to protect my assets. Here he is, fans, COWBOY BOB ORTON!JUSHIN "THUNDER" LIGER vs. COWBOY BOB ORTONBefore Daytondave had even completed his introductions, Orton jumped Liger and plastered him with a vicious elbow to the throat! Liger was slow to recover, and Orton crushed him with an Atomic Kneedrop to score the pin in under one minute! WINNER: COWBOY BOB ORTON(Orton pinned Liger after an Atomic Kneedrop)Daytondave: Bob Orton is one crafty son-of-a-gun! He's the perfect enforcer for Larry Sweeney and his crew. Not the most honest guy in the world, but that has never been a requirement for employment with Sweeney. Now let's see how Sweeney's tag team performs. THE KINGS OF WRESTLING (CHRIS HERO & CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI w/ LARRY SWEENEY) vs. THE NAPTOWN DRAGONS (SCOTTY VORTEKZ & "DIEHARD" DUSTIN LEE)This match was insane! Lee put the hurt on Hero from the opening bell, thrilling the fans with his "Die Hard Trilogy" of suplexes. Only a timely save by Claudio prevented Hero from being pinned. Once Claudio hit the ring, he dominated Scotty Vortekz, forcing Lee to make the save after a thunderous Ricola Bomb. At this point, tempers flared and the match broke down. A brawl erupted on the ring floor, where it was Lee again getting the best of Hero as Scotty chased Larry Sweeney up the ring ramp. With Hero staggered, the Dragons crushed him with a Double Dragon and captured the pinfall! WINNERS: THE NAPTOWN DRAGONS(Lee pinned Hero after the Double Dragon)Daytondave: Outstanding performance by the boys from Naptown! I figured the Kings would control that match, but the Dragons managed to neutralize Sweeney and come away victorious. Now, we'll see two of the Beasts of the Heartland square off. DAN "THE BEAST" SEVERN vs. NECRO BUTCHERThe two beasts brawled furiously, but the technique of Severn proved to be superior. Severn tied Necro in knots repeatedly and ultimately gained a submission. WINNER: DAN SEVERN(Severn forced Necro to submit to a Wakigatame)Daytondave: Same size, same toughness, but about 50 points difference in IQ decided that bout. THE HEADSHRINKERS (SAMU & ALOFA) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (KIP & BG JAMES w/OLIVER HUMPERDINK)In a highly competitive match, the Outlaws narrowly edged the Headshrinkers. BG James sustained a tremendous amount of punishment, but kept his intensity and came back to devastate Alofa and turn the tide of the match. After a pair of Spike Piledrivers, Alofa was unable to respond and fell prey to the pinfall. WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Kip pinned Alofa with the Fame-Asser)Daytondave: The Outlaws continue to be one of the top teams in the Heartland! That's about as well as I have ever seen a man wrestle after a shellacking like BG James took in that match. I think the addition of Oliver Humperdink will be very helpful as the Outlaws try to claw their way back to the top of the tag team division. How does Humperdink stack up to Larry Sweeney? We'll find that out in our next match. ADAM PEARCE (w/ LARRY SWEENEY) vs. KONNAN (w/ OLIVER HUMPERDINK)Konnan was the dominant force in this match, controlling the action against Pearce despite Sweeney's best efforts. WINNER: KONNAN(Konnan pinned Pearce after a Sit-Out Face Buster)Daytondave: The Mexican legend made that bout look all too easy. The House of Humperdink has enjoyed a highly successful evening! Before our next match, let's go backstage where WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS has a few words from the former Warfare Combat Champion. Butch: Thank you, Daytondave. I am here with THE MISSING LINK, who just two weeks ago lost the Combat title to TITO SANTANA. Neither man has returned to action following the injuries suffered in that match. Mr. Link, sir- how are you feeling? Link: Link want belt! Butch: I see. You're interested in getting the title back from Santana. But just last week, Daytondave read a note from Tito's doctor! Tito has not been cleared to wrestle again. Link: Link want Tito! Butch: Mr. Link, sir, please understand. Tito is not here. Missing Link shoves Butch aside and snarls as he tears through the locker room area.Link: Link want Tito! Link want belt! Link be champion! Link turns over tables and tosses aside chairs as he storms from room to room backstage. He finds Heartland Referee HEATHER OWENS in a back hallway. He reaches down and picks up Heather, who squeals. Link tosses Heather over his shoulder and carries her down the hallway. He kicks open the back exit, carrying Heather as he disappears into the night.Daytondave: Fans- do you believe that? Missing Link has just kidnapped Heather Owens! What the- !?!?!? Of course you know, the Combat title is defended under 24/7 rules. So wherever Santana is hiding out, he had better beware, because Link is coming for him- and he's bringing his own referee! I do see the logic in his actions- but the man is a maniac and I fear for the safety of young Heather. Heartland Security has already put in a call to the Henry County Sherriff's department, but you just never know what you're going to get with the local yokels. We'll keep a close eye on the situation with Missing Link and Heather Owens, ladies and gentlemen. HCW WARFARE AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP- QUALIFYING MATCH SABU vs. MIL MASCARASA spectacular match! Both competitors took to the air early and often. Sabu unleashed a flurry of suicidal dives to put Mascaras in trouble, but missed a triple jump moonsault to shift the momentum. Mascaras took advantage with his own aerial assault, leaving both men battered and broken. Mascaras missed on a suicide dive, and Sabu latched on an agonizing Camel Clutch! But Mascaras refused to submit, clawing his way to the bottom rope to force Joe Kopasz to call for the break. Sabu responded in frustration, grabbing a steel chair and smashing Mascaras with an Arabian Facebuster. Mascaras was nearly unconscious on the mat after the move, but Kopasz called for the disqualification and awarded the decision to Mil. (Total fatigue tokens: Mascaras 9, Sabu 6) An angry Sabu picked up the chair and threatened to hit the fallen Mascaras again, but Kopasz quickly interposed himself and prevented any further damage. WINNER: MIL MASCARAS(Sabu disqualified after an Arabian Facebuster)Daytondave: Unbelievable! Those two flyers brought the house down! If only Sabu had managed to control his emotions, he could be on his way to a shot at the American Heavyweight Championship! Instead, it will be Mascaras vs. DANNY HODGE for the most prestigious championship that Warfare has to offer. Kudos as well to Joe Kopasz- he handled that situation with the level of professionalism that makes him the best in the business! Now, fans- the moment you have been waiting for! For the first, and probably only time in the history of Napoleon, Ohio, the HCW Tag Team Championship will be defended, and that match is coming up right now. MAIN EVENT: HCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO (c) (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. PEPPER GOMEZ & TOM PRICHARDThe match looked to be a squash at the outset, when Baker crushed Gomez with a Heart Punch. But Gomez survived the trauma and fought on. Prichard and Gomez seemed to gain momentum as the match progressed. Tagging frequently, the challengers kept Heenan's men on the defensive, and nearly stole the belts when Gomez surprised Baker with a Mexican Cradle for a near-fall. But Bobby Heenan managed to waylay referee Kopasz long enough to allow Baker to break free of the hold and the match continued. Prichard and Zbyszko went toe-to-toe for several minutes of spirited action. Finally, Prichard tagged to Gomez, but the savvy Zbyszko caught him coming off the ropes and rolled him into a small package for a surprise pinfall! WINNERS: OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO(Zbyszko pinned Gomez with a Small Package)BAKER & ZBYSZKO RETAIN THE HCW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPDaytondave: That was a tougher match than the champions expected, but the team of Baker and Zbyszko continues to dominate the tag ranks in the Heartland. We may have seen the emergence of a more functioning team with Gomez and Prichard, but my guess is that Prichard is only a temporary replacement until Tito Santana makes his return to tag team action. So, fans, thanks for joining us tonight on Warfare! We're still keeping a close eye on the Heather Owens situation. No word from the Sherriff yet- we hope to have an update for you when we return on Saturday night with our next episode of Old School! JR James will be at the helm with a great card- and Old School will be crowning its first-ever tag team champions! Be sure and tune in as THE VALIANT BROTHERS take on BOB & BRAD ARMSTRONG for the Old School Tag Team Championship! And of course, we'll be back next Wednesday with more exciting action on Warfare. Until then, fans, that's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE! Warfare American Champion: Warfare Tag Team Champions: Warfare Combat Champion: TITO SANTANA

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night January 3, 2009 (Card #186) Sky Bank Arena, Findlay, Ohio The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring before a Standing-Room-Only crowd.JR: Good evening, fans of the Heartland, and welcome to Old School Saturday Night! On behalf of everyone associated with Heartland Championship Wrestling, it is my pleasure to wish you all a Happy New Year! 2008 certainly had its ups and downs, but the proud HCW is roaring in to 2009 with style! We have some very special events planned for tonight broadcast of Old School, including the crowning of the first-ever Old School Tag Team Champions! But first, ladies and gentlemen, we have a very special presentation. JR is joined in the ring by HCW Commissioner COUSIN LUKE, and Warfare GM DAYTONDAVE.Luke: How y'all doin'? Me and Daytondave are joinin' you tonight to give out the Year End Awards for 2008! Daytondave, please read for us this year's award winners! Daytondave: It would be my pleasure, Mr. Commissioner! Please put your hands together for the 2008 Award Winners! MANAGER OF THE YEAR: BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN
FEUD OF THE YEAR: HEARTLAND VS. TRADITION
MATCH OF THE YEAR: STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN VS. NATURE BOY RIC FLAIR, FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE, HEARTLAND HAVOC XVI
TAG TEAM OF THE YEAR: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS
WRESTLER OF THE YEAR: BRUISER BRODYThe fans applaud loudly for the 2008 award winners. Heenan, Brody and the Outlaws come to the ring and receive plaques from JR James. The spotlight shines to the crowd, where RIC FLAIR is seated with ANGELINA LOVE and VELVET SKY. Flair struts to the ring and holds his plaque overhead. A commotion is heard from the opposite side of the arena, and Tradition Promoter ROB BENNETT pushes his way past Heartland Security and climbs into the ring. Bruiser Brody steps forward to confront Bennett, but DAYTONDAVE calls Brody off and greets Bennett with a handshake and a smile. Bennett and Daytondave enjoy a brief "dude hug" and Daytondave hands Rob the award plaque. The cheering of the crowd turns to boos as Bennett holds the plaque high. Bennett smirks as he struts back to his seat, where SO CAL VAL awaits. As the remaining award winners clear the ring, JR James takes the microphone.JR: Congratulations to this year's award winners. I never thought I would see Rob Bennett back in a Heartland Arena, let alone see him embraced by our own Daytondave. They say you can judge a man by the company he keeps. If that is the case, my respect for Daytondave has just dropped a notch. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)JIM LONDOS vs. ANTONIO INOKIIn a well-fought match on both sides, Inoki outdueled Londos to gain the submission. WINNER: ANTONIO INOKI(Inoki forced Londos to submit to the Octopus Hold)JR: A supreme demonstration indeed of the game of human chess within the squared circle. THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & "JUMPIN" JIM BRUNZELL) vs. CURT & LARRY HENNIGThe Hennigs executed beautifully, trapping Brunzell in the ring and overpowering him. Blair tried to intervene, but Curt caught him and smashed the Bees together with a vicious double noggin-knocker! Blair tumbled out of the ring, allowing Larry Hennig to finish off a weakened Brunzell for the victory. WINNERS: THE HENNIGS(Larry forced Brunzell to submit to a Bearhug)JR: A well-coordinted effort by the father and son duo, who continues to move up in the tag team ranks. I don't know that we'll see much coordination or execution in this next bout, but I anticipate that it will be an exciting one indeed. DON LEO JONATHAN vs. THE CRUSHERThe battle between these two monsters lived up to expectations. The action was hard-hitting and the momentum shifted back and forth. As the match wore on, both men took uncharacteristic risks, and it proved costly to Jonathan. The big Mormon went for a deathjump, but Crusher sidestepped and sent Jonathan crashing to the canvas. Don Leo was easy prey from that point, and Crusher was quick to seal the victory. WINNER: THE CRUSHER(Crusher forced Jonathan to submit to a stomach claw)JR: No question, the "man who made Milwaukee famous" takes a step back from no one. He took Jonathan's best shots, and gave as good as he got. A fine victory for the Crusher! JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. "MAGNIFICENT" DON MURACOIn a reprise of one of the great feuds in WWF history, Muraco came out strong and had Snuka on the defensive. But Jimmy exploded off the ropes with a running spear, planting Muraco on the canvas and setting him up for a patented Superfly Leap! WINNER: JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA(Snuka pinned Muraco after a Superfly Leap)JR: A magnificent manuver indeed by one of the most popular and talented grapplers there is! Let's look now at another compelling tag team confrontation. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE & GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINEA wild match between two well-matched teams! The action was competitive and both teams were devious, bending the rules and taking liberties as referee Nick Patrick struggled to maintain control. Patrick was clearly fighting a losing battle, and before long, found himself on the receiving end of an inadvertent spear from Beefcake. Patrick went down, and both teams began double-teaming repeatedly. Finally, CHARLES ROBINSON sprinted to the ring and took over the officiating duties. The pace settled down, as Beefcake and Eaton duked it out. Beefcake got the upper hand, gaining control and wearing out Eaton with his roughhousing tactics. Beefcake tagged to Valentine, but The Hammer was smacked across the back by Cornette with his tennis racket! Before Beefcake could react, Eaton covered Valentine and captured the pinfall! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Eaton pinned Valentine after Cornette Interference)JR: Disgusting. Why James E. Cornette can't keep his mangy mitts out of a match is beyond me. His men are plenty talented to fend for themselves. But on this night, it is clear that the interference of Cornette paid off and his men steal a victory. The good news is, Nick Patrick appears to be okay, and he is back on his feet and ready to officiate our next contest- and it will be a big contest indeed. These men despise each other- and both are in line for a shot at becoming the first-ever Great Lakes Champion! GREAT LAKES CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANNot surprisingly, action in this bout broke down nearly from the outset! When Cornette tried to get his hands on Duggan, Hacksaw swung wildly at him. Bundy came to the defense of his manager, launching himself at Duggan along the ropes. Duggan ducked for cover, and once again Nick Patrick found himself in harm's way. Bundy crushed Patrick, sending him through the ropes and out to the arena floor in a heap. Neither competitor took pause, and the brawl spilled out to the arena floor as well. CHARLES ROBINSON again dashed to the ring, and this time he immediately called for the bell and threw the match out. ***DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION***After the decision, Bundy and Duggan continued to brawl! As Heartland officials streamed in to restore order, NICK BOCKWINKEL strutted down to ringside and took the microphone.Bockwinkel: Thank you! Thank you very much! I would just like to congratulate... myself... for becoming the first-ever Heartland Great Lakes Champion! Jim Cornette hustles over to the announcers' table and grabs the microphone from Bockwinkel.Cornette: Bockwinkel! Have you taken leave of your senses? You don't just walk out here and declare yourself the Great Lakes Champion! Hacksaw Duggan pushes his way over to Bockwinkel and takes a poke at him. Bundy shoves Duggan again, and the brawl escalates between all three wrestlers. Finally, COMMISSIONER LUKE makes his way to ringside and grabs the microphone.Luke: All y'all knock it off! Now hush! Bockwinkel, you ain't gonna come down here and make yourself no champion! We're gonna settle this next week- in the ring! All y'all be here- we gonna have us a Triple Threat Match!JR: Oh, my goodness! Ladies and gentlemen! Commissioner Luke has just issued a forceful ruling to put an end to this fracas! One week from tonight- we will have a triple threat match- Bockwinkel vs. Bundy vs. Duggan - for the Great Lakes Championship! You talk about three volatile personalities! What a matchup that will be! But fans, we are not finished yet- we still have the Old School Tag Team Championship to be decided! It does appear that Charles Robinson will be officiating this match. We seem to have order restored, so let's head back to the ring for tonight's Main Event! MAIN EVENT: OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP THE VALIANT BROTHERS (JIMMY & JOHNNY) vs. BOB & BRAD ARMSTRONGIn a surprising finish, Brad Armstrong snatched victory from the jaws of defeat to earn his team the Old School Tag Team Championship! The match was tightly contested, until Brad went for a flying tackle on Jimmy Valiant, missed his target, and nailed his father Bob! Bob went down hard, and the Valiants took control. Bob fought back gamely, but the Valiants pummeled him and wore him down. It looked like Bob was finished when Johnny Valiant blasted him with a Top Rope Elbow, but Brad returned to make the save! When the Valiants tried to gang up on Brad, he ducked under their attempted double clothesline, then sprang from the rope and drilled both Valiant brothers with a stunning double lariat! Jimmy Valiant sailed out of the ring, and as Johnny staggered to his feet, Brad nailed him with another flying dropkick and scored a clean pinfall victory! WINNERS: BOB & BRAD ARMSTRONG(Brad pinned Johnny Valiant after a Flying Dropkick)BOB AND BRAD ARMSTRONG CAPTURE THE OLD SCHOOL TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Congratulations to the Armstrong Family for becoming the first-ever Old School tag team champions! That was a very competitive match-up and there is no question that either team may have come away victorious. But on this night, Brad Armstrong proved to be the victorious competitor- As JR continues his remarks, THE VACHON BROTHERS and IRON SHEIK storm the ring and attack the Armstrongs! The new champions are taken by surprise and both are knocked to the floor. NIKITA BREZNIKOV takes the microphone. Breznikov: Destruction to the evil Americans! The Foreign Legion must eliminate the weak! Iron Sheik and Brad Armstrong duke it out on the arena floor. The Vachon Brothers go to work on Bob Armstrong. Mad Dog gives Bob a stiff kick to the head, knocking him senseless on the concrete. Butcher Vachon picks up the steel ring steps and drops them onto Bob's right leg! Bob screams in pain. Heartland security, led by BIG JIM THE ENFORCER, hustles to ringside to take control of the situation, but Bob Armstrong remains on the arena floor, holding his right leg and grimacing. The members of the Foreign Legion are escorted from ringside.Breznikov: Destruction to the evil Americans! Heartland trainers arrive at ringside to tend to the fallen Armstrong patriarch, but Bob waves them away. Brad Armstrong helps his father to his feet, and Bob hobbles away from ringside with the assistance of his son.JR: Ladies and gentlemen, I am appalled at what we have just seen! Bob and Brad Armstrong are your Old School tag team champions. But the Foreign Legion has once again made their presence known, much to the chagrin of the fans here at the Sky Bank Arena. We'll try to have an update for you on Bob Armstrong when we return next week. Fans, it has been our privilege to bring you tonight's edition of Old School Saturday Night! We'll be back next week with an exciting card of action, including the Triple Threat match to determine the Great Lakes Championship! And don't forget to tune in Wednesday night for HCW Warfare. You won't want to miss the crowning of the Warfare American Champion, as DANNY HODGE will square off against MIL MASCARAS in Wednesday night's main event. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State! Old School United States Champion: RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS Old School Tag Team Champions: BOB AND BRAD ARMSTRONG Old School Great Lakes Champion:

Heartland Championship Wrestling Wednesday Night Warfare January 7, 2009 (Card #187) Paulding High School Gymnasium, Paulding, Ohio The show opens with Warfare GM DAYTONDAVE in the center of the ring to address the crowd. He is decked out in a dashing Brooks Brothers double-breasted black suit with an aqua silk tie.Daytondave: Happy New Year! Fans, this is the best-dressed Commissioner in the land comin' back at ya for another YEAR of Heartland Championship Wrestling action! Obviously, COMMISSIONER LUKE has decided to continue the Warfare Tour of Nowhere Land USA, despite the obvious occupational hazards. I mean, how much of a disaster would it be to come home with cow dung stains on a fifteen hundred dollar suit? I guess that's just the chance you have to take as a celebrity these days. Now, fans, we have a big night planned for you tonight! This is the night when we crown the first-ever Warfare American Heavyweight Champion. The top title in the Heartland will be decided tonight, right here in the lovely community of Paulding, Ohio. It will be MIL MASCARAS, the former Ohio-Con Champion, taking on the self proclaimed "best cruiserweight in the business", DANNY HODGE in tonight's main event championship match! We will also have a road report from WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS as he has been searching for MISSING LINK and Heartland Referee HEATHER OWENS. As you recall, last week Link declared his intentions to seek out Warfare Combat Champion TITO SANTANA, who has gone into hiding to recuperate from his injuries and avoid defending his title under the 24/7 rules. Link grabbed up Heather and took off in pursuit of Santana, and tonight we hope that our man the Wildman will catch up to Link and Heather. But for now, fans, let's get it started! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)ADAM PEARCE (w/ LARRY SWEENEY) vs. TIGER MASKThis match was highly entertaining for a curtain-jerker. Tiger Mask took the early advantage, but could not put Pearce down for the count. Pearce turned the tide, hitting Tiger with a stiff knee to the face as he charged the turnbuckle. Pearce followed with a jumping piledriver, but Tiger Mask kicked out. Tiger Mask took control again after Pearce whiffed on a dropkick. Despite Larry Sweeney's efforts to sidetrack the referee, Tiger Mask kept control of the bout and finished Pearce with a pait of Tiger Suplexes. WINNER: TIGER MASK(Tiger Mask pinned Pearce after a Tiger Suplex)Daytondave: Fans, you have just witnessed some sensational aerial action. You'll never see anything like the Space Flying Tiger Drop that Tiger Mask executed in the opening moments of that contest. Where does Tiger Mask belong on the cruiserweight pecking order? We'll find out two weeks from now at Heartland Havoc XXIII, which will feature a one-night tournament of the top cruisers in all of HCW! JUSHIN "THUNDER" LIGER vs. GORGEOUS GEORGE (w/ CHERIE DUPRE)Another epic battle played out in this match! George began the match at a slow pace, stalling frequently and attempting to keep Liger under control. George repeatedly went to the Figure-4 leglock and the spinning toe hold in an effort to slow down his agile foe. The strategy was largely successful and Liger was on the defensive until he surprised George by coming off the ropes with a devastating shoda which turned the momentum. Liger followed with an impressive aerial flurry, piecing together a Liger Dive and a top rope hurricanrana to send George tumbling to the arena floor. But Liger wasn't finished, launching himself onto George with a spectacular plancha to the arena floor! Liger followed with an amazing springboard moonsault, and George was lucky to make it back to the ring by the count of ten. But the delay seemed to give George a chance to regain his footing, allowing him to duck away from a cross-body block and pin Liger with a small package! (Total fatigue tokens: George 6, Liger 5)WINNER: GORGEOUS GEORGE(George pinned Liger with a Small Package)Daytondave: Another amazing bout between two very different athletes. Hell, George is "different" all by himself. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the replay of that bout will show that the Gorgeous One used a handful of tights to secure that victory. And now, fans, I have just received word that WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS has caught up to THE MISSING LINK! Wildman, give us a full report! The camera shifts to the exterior of the NAPOLEON MOTOR INN back in Napoleon, Ohio. Wildman Butch Michaels is on camera, but appears speechless with his eyes wide open and his jaw gaping. The door to Room 113 is ajar as MISSING LINK stands in the doorway. Link's face paint is smeared, and he is speechless with his eyes wide open and his jaw gaping. The silhouetted figure of HEATHER OWENS is seen on the bed. Heather is sitting up in bed, covered only by a bed sheet. She is smiling widely and smoking a cigarette. The scene quickly shifts back to the Paulding High School gymnasium, where Daytondave is sitting at the announcer's table. Daytondave appears speechless with his eyes wide open and his jaw gaping.Daytondave: Fans... I am stunned. The State of Ohio is supposed to be smoke-free! Um... let's watch some more action... I mean, let's return to the ring for our next wrestling match. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (KIP & BG JAMES w/ SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK) vs. BLOODLUST (JUSTIN CREDIBLE & DRAKE YOUNGER w/ JONNY FAIRPLAY)The newly anointed Tag Team of the Year looked sharp under the new management of Sir Humperdink. Despite BG taking a couple of tough shots, he managed to tag back in to Kip. Kip floored both members of Bloodlust with a double clothesline, then crushed Younger to seal another victory for the Outlaws. WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Kip pinned Younger after a Standing Leg Drop)Daytondave: That was a very deserving win for the Outlaws! With that victory, BG and Kip become the first tag team in the history of Heartland Wrestling to record 20 victories! Congratulations to the James Boys for another notch in their historic run through the Heartland. But I don't think the rivalry between Oliver Humperdink and Jonny Fairplay is quite finished. These two managers have another matchup of their respective competitors coming up next. KONNAN (w/ SIR OLIVER HUMPERDINK) vs. THE SANDMAN (w/ JONNY FAIRPLAY)Humperdink made it 2-for-2 in this match as Konnan outpaced the Sandman. Konnan even decked Jonny Fairplay for good measure before finishing off his overmatched opponent. WINNER: KONNAN(Konnan forced The Sandman to submit to a Tequila Sunrise)Daytondave: Jonny Fairplay doesn't look the least bit happy about the performance of his men here tonight! Konnan simply embarassed The Sandman with how easily he dominated that match. As Joe Kopasz prepares the ring for the next match, "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE steps through the curtain, accompanied by TAMMY LYNN SYTCH. Tammy is wearing a short black cocktail dress with a low-cut front, but she does not look at all pleased to be accompanying Rude.Rude: Cut the music! What I'd like to have right now is for all you fat, out-of-shape, bumbling bumpkins to shut your mouths and watch when a real sexy man looks like while Tammy takes off my robe! Rude wiggles his hips and unties his robe, then extends his arms to the sides and waits for Tammy. Instead of removing his robe, Tammy slaps Rude on the back of the head! Rude scowls and turns back to Tammy, threatening her with the back of his hand. Tammy recoils quickly and Rude sneers.Rude: Never mind, sweetheart. All I can say is, that if a guy like THE MISSING LINK can get lucky, then The Ravishing One has every right to expect some action from you tonight. And baby, you won't see me coming out of a cheap Motor Inn. No sir, for Tammy tonight, it will only be the finest that Paulding, Ohio has to offer- the Bittersweet Inn! We'll be heading that way as soon as I kick the butt of whatever girlie-man that Daytondave has lined up for me tonight. "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE (w/ TAMMY LYNN SYTCH) vs. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSHRude was caught off-guard in the opening moments of this match, as the unorthodox Quackenbush hit him with a Chikara Special and a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker and picked up two quick near-falls. Rude went to the floor, and Quackenbush launched himself of the top rope with a spectaculr somersault plancha! But Rude smartly sidestepped the move and Quack crashed badly on the ring floor. Tammy squealed, and quickly knelt beside the injured Quackenbush. This infuriated Rude, who grabbed Tammy by the hair and shoved her into a chair at ringside. From there, Rude took pleasure in methodically pounding away at Quackenbush, dropping him with a hard swinging neckbreaker on the arena floor. Quackenbush fought back gamely, but Rude tossed him casually back into the ring and finished him off with an arrogant cover. WINNER: "RAVISHING" RICK RUDE(Rude pinned Quackenbush after a Rude Awakening)Daytondave: Unbelievable. I have always admired Rick Rude, in a manly sort of way- but even I cannot condone the way he put his hands on Tammy tonight. If he ain't careful, some day he is gonna mess with the wrong dude. PEPPER GOMEZ & TOM PRICHARD vs. THE KINGS OF WRESTLING (CHRIS HERO & CLAUDIO CASTAGNOLI w/ LARRY SWEENEY)In a stunning match, the hard-luck team of Gomez and Prichard surprised the Kings, dropping Claudio with a deadly double-team combination and a quick pinfall! WINNERS: GOMEZ & PRICHARD(Prichard pinned Castagnoli after a Face-First Double Suplex)Daytondave: Finally, a victory for Gomez and Prichard! These guys have already had an HCW Title Match before they even recorded a victory! With Gomez' regular partner TITO SANTANA remaining in hiding, he and Prichard seem to be starting to work together with more success! But Gomez also needs to continue to watch his back, because MIL MASCARAS is still hot on his tail with a vengeance. But tonight, Mascaras has a bigger objective- to become the first-ever American Heavyweight Champion- and that match is coming up next! MAIN EVENT: HCW WARFARE AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MIL MASCARAS vs. DANNY HODGEThe Heavyweight Championship was a dramatic duel between two determined competitors! Hodge wrestled an amazing match, stretching Mascaras in every conceivable direction. Mascaras gutted his way through the onslaught, surviving a series of tortuous holds and fighting his way back into the match. Mascaras took to the skies, sending Hodge reeling with the Crossbody attack and a slingshot plancha onto the arena floor! Mil nearly took the title after a Flying Bodypress, but Hodge kicked out at 2 1/2 and the match continued. The gritty Sooner took control again and continued to punish Mascaras on the mat. After a protracted struggle, Hodge finally forced a submission from Mascaras to lay claim to the title! WINNER: DANNY HODGE(Hodge forced Mascaras to submit to the Indian Deathlock)DANNY HODGE WINS THE AMERICAN HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPDaytondave: Congratulations to Danny Hodge for becoming the inaugural American Heavyweight Champion! That was a remarkable match- a potential Match of the Year candidate and we're just getting 2009 rolling! Fans, it has been a great night of action here in Northwest Ohio and we thank you for joining us. HCW Warfare will be back next week with another exciting card of action. And don't forget about Old School Saturday Night this coming weekend, where you'll see an amazing triple threat match for the Old School Great Lakes Championship. That's our show, and I AM OUTTA HERE! Warfare American Champion: DANNY HODGE Warfare Tag Team Champions: Warfare Combat Champion: TITO SANTANA

Heartland Championship Wrestling Old School Saturday Night January 10, 2009 (Card #188) Beeghley Center, Youngstown, Ohio JR James: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Old School Saturday Night, brought to you by Heartland Championship Wrestling! Things are abuzz in the Heartland as we are gearing up for Heartland Havoc XXIII, which will take place two weeks from tonight! In a bold move, Commissioner Luke has booked this pay-per-view for the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. It has been some time since HCW ventured out of the Buckeye State, but the time is now and the Joe Louis Arena is a legendary venue indeed. Luke, congratulations on the big announcement! Luke: Thanks, JJ! I also want to announce the new Havoc XXIII theme song. It's called "Devour" by Shinedown! ( ) JR grimaces as the tune plays overhead.JR: Where did you get that noise? Surely we can do better than this for the theme music. Why not George Jones or Conway Twitty? I bet Daytondave picked that music. He's never been known for taste. Luke chuckles.Luke: Naw, we let Daytondave's kid pick that out. You know, the girlie-haired one? JR rolls his eyes.JR: You must mean Bad Chad- the Kurt Cobain wanna-be. Luke: That's the one. JR: Not surprising. Fans, the new theme song for Havoc XXIII is "Devour" by Shinedown, courtesy of Daytondave's kid, Bad Chad, the girlie-haired Kurt Cobain wanna-be. The good news is, the card for Havoc is shaping up nicely. We'll be hearing more about that throughout the evening. Tonight will feature some great action as well, highlighted by our main event- the Triple Threat match to decide the Great Lakes Championship! This title was at the center of controversy on last week's broadcast, so tonight all three contenders will settle their business in the ring as NICK BOCKWINKEL, HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN, and KING KONG BUNDY face off! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Charles Robinson)GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE & BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKE vs. TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA & THE MOUNTIE)After a long and competitive bout, Mountie took control and caught a quick pinfall against the Hammer! WINNERS: TEAM CANADA(Mountie pinned Valentine after a Short Choke Slam)JR: What a fine quality opening match! No question, either team may have come away victorious in that contest. Both of these teams would love to work their way into contention for the Old School Tag Team Championship, which was won just one week ago by the team of BOB and BRAD ARMSTRONG. But after that match, we saw the Armstrongs brutally attacked by the FOREIGN LEGION! We have a special videotaped statement from Brad Armstrong with an update on his father's condition. The Videotron lights up and BRAD ARMSTRONG is seen in a workout facility. In the background, BOB ARMSTRONG is seen at the leg machine, working out his right knee.Brad: What's up, fans! Me and Dad just wanted to thank the great fans of the Heartland for your support! Daddy's gonna be just fine. His knee is a little banged up, but it ain't nothing that we ain't come back from before! The Armstrong Clan is proud to be the Old School Tag Team Champions, and we're ready to put these belts on the line against all comers. And you big ugly Vachon Brothers? Iron Sheik? You want some of the Armstrong Clan, you come get some! STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS vs. THE MASKED SUPERSTAR (w/ SLICK)In a brief, but wild match,, Superstar and Doc spent as much time outside the ring as in. The two went toe-to-toe until Superstar finally got the advantage, trapping Williams in a protracted Cobra Hold and finally forcing his submission. WINNER: MASKED SUPERSTAR(Superstar forced Williams to submit to the Cobra Hold)JR: That match typified what Old School wrestling is about. Indeed, neither man asked quarter and neither man gave. But on this night, it was Superstar who came out on top. DICK HUTTON vs. JOHNNY VALENTINEIn another old-style showdown, Hutton and Valentine went to war. Hutton controlled the early stages of the match, but was unable to put Valentine down after a well-executed Oklahoma Sideroll. Valentine rallied, catching Hutton coming off the ropes and dropping him throat-first across the top rope! Hutton went down, and Valentine immediately went to the Atomic Skullcrusher to earn a hard-fought victory. WINNER: JOHNNY VALENTINE(Valentine pinned Hutton after an Atomic Skullcrusher)JR: The action continues to run hot in the Heartland! I cannot recall two more compelling matches than we have just seen back-to-back. And fans, there's more to come! HARLEY RACE vs. JIM LONDOSRace was methodical and brutal in dismantling Londos. The smaller Greek fought gamely, but Harley was just too powerful and took control decisively to finish the bout. WINNER: HARLEY RACE(Race pinned Londos after a Piledriver)JR: The Race piledriver claims another victim! As you may recall, it was that same maneuver that took down KING KONG BUNDY and sparked a major controversy with JIM CORNETTE. Race would love to get his hands on Bundy, and indeed, Jim Cornette, when the opportunity presents itself. As Race leaves the ring area victoriously, he is met at the top of the ramp by the emerging JIM CORNETTE, STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON. Race snarls at Cornette, but Eaton and Lane step between. Race fakes a lunge at Cornette, who scurries back and nearly falls off the stage. Eaton and Lane both flinch. Race smirks and disappears through the curtains. Cornette storms to ringside and grabs the microphone.Cornette: Harley Race? Get over yourself, you ugly pug! You cheated, you lost, and that's that. I didn't come out here to waste my time on you. The reason I am out here tonight is to ask a simple question. Why in the sam hill didn't my Midnight Express win the Tag Team of the Year award? Nobody can beat Bobby and Stan- not the New Age Outlaws, and especially not that big lug Ox Baker and his little megalomaniac buddy Larry Zbyszko. Me and my Midnights are coming after your belts, boys, so shine 'em up and get ready for your whippin'! LARRY & CURT HENNIG vs. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (BOBBY EATON & STAN LANE w/ JIM CORNETTE)Perhaps the distractions were too much for the Midnights! The match had barely begun when Larry Hennig felled Eaton with a massive Double Forearm Hammer and pinned him cleanly! WINNERS: LARRY & CURT HENNIG(Larry pinned Eaton after a Double Forearm Hammer)JR: Oh, my goodness! The Hennigs just scored a victory over the Midnight Express- in under two minutes! You've got to believe that this win will vault the Hennigs up into contention for the Old School Tag Team Championship. No question, it is a tough loss for the Midnights to kick off 2009. Without warning, BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN strides to the ring with a smirk.Heenan: Hey Cornette- you call that a tag team? If your Midnight Express wants a title match, then shut your mouth and stop losing matches. One thing we both agree on- those New Age Outlaws are a couple of goofs and they have no business walking around calling themselves Tag Team of the Year. Ox Baker and Larry Zbyszko have dominated the tag team division, and MY men deserve that honor. So Kip- BG- if you ever, and that is a big IF- if you ever get a title shot against my men, then your ass better call somebody! And it better be somebody with a broom and a dustpan, because they'll be sweeping your rotten carcasses off the mat! JR: Strong words indeed from the Manager of the Year. No question, his team has been the top of the heap for quite some time. Love him or hate him, the Brain has every right to boast about his accomplishments. Okay, fans- are you ready for another battle of the legendary Old School giants? Then you're in for a treat! BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK) vs. DON LEO JONATHANThe big brawl did not disappoint, as Bobo and Jonathan pounded each other from pillar to post! The battle got so intense that Charles Robinson was knocked to the arena floor! But the brawl continued, and action picked up even more with no third man to oversee the proceedings. Finally, NICK PATRICK hustled to ringside and corraled the battle back into the ring. Bobo took control, and smashed the bigger Jonathan with a series of headbutts, finally putting him down for the count. WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Brazil pinned Jonathan after a Coco Butt)JR: That confrontation was indeed a brutal one. Jonathan is one of the few men who can withstand the power of Bobo Brazil. A lesser man would have been overwhelmed by such an onslaught! And now, fans, finally the Old School will crown its Great Lakes Champion! Out Triple Threat main event match is next! MAIN EVENT: GREAT LAKES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP - TRIPLE THREAT MATCH NICK BOCKWINKEL vs. KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. HACKSAW JIM DUGGANIn a wild triple threat match, Bockwinkel and Bundy took their turns bashing on Duggan. Bundy did some serious damage, but Bockwinkel interrupted several pin attempts, and on a couple of occasions tried to cover Duggan himself. This led to Bockwinkel and Bundy getting in to a fracas! Bundy hurled Bockwinkel out of the ring, but Bockwinkel caught Bundy on the floor with a chair shot! Bockwinkel rolled Bundy back into the ring and wrapped him into a Figure-4 leglock! Duggan was too weakened to interfere, and Bundy could not escape the agonizing hold. Bundy was forced to tap out, and Bockwinkel claimed the victory! WINNER: NICK BOCKWINKEL(Bockwinkel forced Bundy to tap out to the Figure-4 leglock)NICK BOCKWINKEL CAPTURES THE GREAT LAKES HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: A masterful performance indeed by Nick Bockwinkel to earn the Great Lakes Championship! He played both Bundy and Duggan to the hilt and came away victorious. A great way to cap off a tremendous night of action. Ladies and gentlemen, we thank you for joining us here in Youngstown. We'll be back next week with another exciting episode of Old School, where we will see the United States Heavyweight Championship on the line as RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS defends his title against the former champion, THE DESTROYER. And don't forget to tune in to Warfare on Wednesday night to see what DAYTONDAVE and his wild bunch have in store for you. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!
