NWA Heartland Card #154 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio August 18, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, microphone in hand, accompanied by COUSIN LUKE. The crowd of about 250 fans is abuzz as the show opens under the Heartland banner stretched overhead.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to NWA Heartland Wrestling! It's great to be back with the loyal fan base in the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum. It's a little known fact that Sweetwater Clifton himself once played his professional ball right here in this very arena! And tonight, the legend lives on as we bring you an exciting card of wrestling competition. In our main event tonight, we will see the first-ever defense of the newly commissioned Heartland Television Title as TAKESHI MORISHIMA defends his title against the "Living Legend", LARRY ZBYSZKO!Luke: Now hold on there, JJ. What did you just say? Larry Zbyszko done got himself a title match? JR: Yes, indeed, Luke. He'll be in the main event tonight, wrestling for the TV title! Luke: I don't know about that, Jimmy. Did BOBBY HEENAN book that match? JR: No, I don't think so. The computer did. Luke: The computer booked that match? Well, I'll be! We all know the computer don't lie. But I don't think Zbyszko can beat that big Marshmallow feller. JR: Morishima. Luke: Bless you! JR: Let's get to the matches already! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)DELIRIOUS vs. DRAKE YOUNGER (w/ JUSTIN CREDIBLE)Younger appeared determined to get the best of Delirious and impress his new mentor. The "Psycho Shooter" pulled out all his savage ferocity, beating Delirious inside the ring and out. Delirious managed a few offensive moves, but Drake shoved him off the turnbuckle and dropped him twice with the Drake's Landing Vertebreaker. But Delirious kicked out both times, then slipped out of the ring. Relentless in his pursuit, Younger left the ring and grabbed a light tube and smashed it across the back of Delirious. Joe Kopasz immediately called for the disqualification. Following the disqualification, Justin Credible grabbed the microphone and screamed at Younger.Credible: That's my boy! That's what I'm talkin' about! No mercy! No backing down! Whatever it takes! Inspired, Younger took another light tube and went after Delirious, but the masked man dashed up the aisle and escaped into the locker room.WINNER: DELIRIOUS(Younger disqualified for hitting Delirious with a light tube)JR: No question, that was a bizarre situation. Who knew somebody could out-weird Delirious? THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS (ROY HEFFERNAN & AL COSTELLO w/ WILD RED BERRY) vs. TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA & THE MOUNTIE)Team Canada sensed weakness from the Aussies after their battles with the Road Warriors. Mountie went to work on Al Costello from the opening bell, and smartly cornered him. Mosca joined in the attack and it looked like Costello was in big trouble. When Heffernan tried to save his partner, Mountie caught him and piledrived him on the concrete floor. The blatant cheap shot earned the Canadians a disqualification. With Heffernan tangled up with Mountie, Mosca continued to put the boots to Costello. Red Berry intervened, jumping on the back of Mosca, allowing Costello to get to his feet. But before Costello could take after Mosca, NECRO BUTCHER dashed in from the locker room and attacked him! Necro took Costello to the mat, and the two brawled furiously around the Coliseum. It took the entire Heartland security crew, led by BIG JIM THE ENFORCER, to separate the brawlers and restore order.WINNERS: THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS(Mountie was disqualified for hitting Heffernan with a piledriver on the concrete floor.)JR: What just happened there? Is Necro Butcher in league with the Canadians? Or does he have a grudge against the Kangaroos? Of course, there's always the possibility that Necro doesn't have a clue WHY he just did that. We'll have to get Wildman Butch Michaels on the case to figure that out. HILLBILLY JIM vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)Coming off his loss to Jimmy Snuka, Bobo was as focused and determined as ever. He dominated the Hillbilly and pinned him convincingly after a pair of Coco Butts. WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Bobo pinned Jim after a Coco Butt)JR: Brazil came up a little short in the Heartland Heavyweight Championship picture, but no question he remains a force to be reckoned with. Hillbilly Jim was out of his league from the beginning in that matchup. Fans, I've just been told that our own WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS has caught up with the Necro Butcher AND Team Canada! Butch, what's the story back there? Butch: Thanks, JR. I'm here with Necro Butcher. Mr. Butcher, why did you attack Al Costello tonight? Necro: For the money! I'm tired of wrestling for free, bustin' my butt to try and get noticed. And it don't look like my pals are no better off with Justin Credible. Younger and Cannon keep losing and don't get paid a cent. But my man Mountie has promised to pay me good for what I do best! Mountie pats Necro on the back and Mosca shakes his hand. The three leave together, laughing loudly. As the camera follows Necro and the Canadians down the hall. Before the scene returns to the announcer's table, a man in a short-sleeved white shirt, necktie, dark slacks, white socks, and dress shoes passes by in the background. Butch: Back over to you, JR. JR: Wait just a minute, Butch. Who was that in the background? Did you see that guy in the white shirt? Butch: I'll check it out, JR. JR: I'll look forward to a full report. Now, back to the matches! DON LEO JONATHAN vs. RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY HEENAN)Ray Stevens was clearly fighting an uphill battle in this match against the enormous Mormon. Jonathan floored Stevens with a swinging full nelson, and the Crippler was on dream street. Bobby Heenan panicked, and hollered backstage. OX BAKER stormed to the ring, but Jonathan was ready for him. Don Leo caught Baker and smashed him headfirst against Stevens with a vicious Double Noggin Knocker! Baker tumbled out of the ring as Jonathan went for the Mormon Swing. But Heenan entered the ring, distracting Joe Kopasz momentarily. But Don Leo was not to be denied, dispatching Heenan then planting Stevens with a running spear to complete a clean pinfall. WINNER: DON LEO JONATHAN(Jonathan pinned Stevens after a Running Spear)JR: Even Bobby Heenan and his brains couldn't find a way for Ray Stevens to overcome the size of Don Leo Jonathan. We'll see if Brain can do any better with Zbyszko in the TV title match. Speaking of the TV title, I wonder what happened to Cousin Luke? He was supposed to be investigating the signing of the title match to Larry Zbyszko. Luke, can you hear me? Luke: Jimmy! I done found some feller sneakin' around backstage. He looked like a dad-burned city boy, all dressed in a white shirt with a pocket protector and stuff. JR: What was he doing? Luke: He ran away before I could catch him. Carried some sort of briefcase, too. JR: We saw that guy snooping around backstage, too. Wildman Butch Michaels, did you get a look at him? Butch: Even better. I got his autograph! JR: You got his autograph? We have an intruder snooping around back stage and all you want to do is get his autograph? Butch: That wasn't an intruder. That was BRUTUS BEEFCAKE!JR: Brutus Beefcake? What was HE doing here? Butch: Consulting work. JR: Consulting work? What kind of work? Butch: Consulting. JR: I know THAT, Butch. Who is he working for? Butch: He didn't say. Luke: Jimmy, I smell a rat here. I better never catch that feller consorting around here again, or he's gonna get a whoopin'! JR: We'll have to keep a close eye on this situation. Butch, if you see him here again, you better call security right away. Butch: Okay, JR. I will. JR: Promise? Butch: Of course. I already got his autograph! JR: ( Slaps his forehead with his palm): Can we PLEASE get to the Main Event? MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TAKESHI MORISHIMA (c) vs. LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY HEENAN)Zbyszko came out aggressively against the big champion and dominated the match for several minutes at the outset. Kopasz allowed Zbyszko great leniency as he hurled Morishima out of the ring and rammed him face first onto the announcer's table. Zbyszko continued his onslaught in the ring, tearing off the turnbuckle pad and smacking Morishima's forehead onto the exposed steel. But Takeshi survived the offensive and even kicked out of a Zbyszko piledriver. Morishima roared back, blocking a karate thrust and flattening Zbyszko with a kick to the face! Heenan was beside himself, jumping on the ring apron, but Joe Kopasz paid him no mind as Morishima planted Zbyszko with the Saito Suplex and pinned him cleanly. WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA - Retains Heartland TV Title(Morishima pinned Zbyszko after a Saito Suplex)JR: Well! The best laid plans of Weasels and men oft go awry, indeed. No question, Morishima is all man and a yard wide. It will take a monster effort to dethrone this big man. And the road for Heenan and for Larry Zbyszko doesn't get any easier from here. They will be back on Friday night in our upcoming main event, as the team of Zbyszko and OX BAKER will defend the tag team championship against the two-time former champions, THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS. This brings a close to tonight's action, as it has been a truly bizarre evening indeed. We'll see you on Friday night. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #155 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio August 22, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the center of the ring alongside COUSIN LUKE. JR: Welcome back, fans, to another exciting night of NWA Heartland Wrestling! We have another great night of action tonight, highlighted by the NWA Heartland Tag Team Championship! Bobby Heenan's team of OX BAKER AND LARRY ZBYSZKO will be defending the titles in a rematch against the former champions, THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS. Cousin Luke, what do you think about tonight's main event? Luke: Well, Bobby's boys better bring their best tonight, cuz them James Brothers are an awful good team. JR: We'll have a special interview with the champions later on this evening. Let's head to the ring for our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)TOM PRICHARD vs. PEPPER GOMEZGomez caught Prichard from the start with an atomic drop, and finished him in three moves! WINNER: PEPPER GOMEZ(Gomez pinned Prichard after a Mexican Cradle)JR: Gomez finally gets in to the win column! That's better than anything Prichard has accomplished in the Heartland, no question about that. THE HIGH ROLLERS (PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE & DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE) vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (NIKOLAI VOLKOFF & THE IRON SHEIK w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)Diamond Dallas finally made his return to the ring after his injury at the hands of the Midnight Express. But DDP was a bit too overzealous for his first match back, launching himself at the opponents with a fury. Sheik and Volkoff capitalized, isolating Page and keeping him under control. Despite Buddy's best efforts, he could not rescue his partner before the Legion finished him off. WINNERS: THE FOREIGN LEGION(Volkoff forced Page to submit to the Russian Bear Hug)JR: It is good to see Diamond Dallas Page back in action. But I'm afraid he got a little TOO aggressive in that match, as a result of his eagerness to get back into competition. It's that competitive spirit that drives the top athletes to excel in the squared circle. But the good news for Page is, that I have just been informed that he and Rose have been signed to a grudge match against BOBBY EATON and DENNIS CONDREY! You had better believe that the High Rollers will be excited to get their hands on Cornette's team again. Now, let's head back to the locker room for an interview with the Heartland Tag Team Champions. The camera moves backstage, where WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS is standing with OX BAKER and LARRY ZBYSZKO.Wildman: Thank you, JR. I'm here with Larry Zbyszko and Ox Baker. Mr. Zbyszko, a lot of people were surprised when you beat the NEW AGE OUTLAWS to win the Heartland Tag Team Championship. Do you think you can defeat them again and retain the titles? Zbyszko glares at Wildman. Wildman: What's wrong, Larry? Was that a stupid question? Zbyszko: There are no stupid questions, Michaels. Only stupid people who ask questions! I don't know why on earth anyone would be surprised that myself and Ox Baker won the titles. Baker is the most dangerous man in the Heartland- except for ME. I am a legend in this sport, and after 15 glorious years, people still fail to respect the ability and the toughness that I bring. But that's okay, Outlaws. Go ahead and disrespect me, go ahead and underestimate the tag team of Zbyszko and Baker, and see where it gets you! Can we go now? Wildman: I guess we're done here. Back over to you, JR. As Baker and Zbyszko walk away, BOBBY HEENAN is seen in the background chatting with BRUTUS BEEFCAKE. The scene returns to the ringside announcers' table, where JR and Cousin Luke react.Luke: There's that feller! From the other day! He's talkin to Bobby Heenan! I'm gonna go talk to that ol' boy and find out what he's up to. Luke rushes to the backstage area. As he departs, his headset falls off and drops to the table next to a live microphone. Loud feedback is heard throughout the Coliseum.JR ( wincing): So much for the element of surprise. Let's head back to the ring. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN vs. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSH"Lightning" Mike lived up to his nickname in this bout! After absorbing a serious beating from Hacksaw, Quackenbush nailed Duggan with a knee to the face and dropped him with a Quackendriver II for a surprising pinfall victory. WINNER: MIKE QUACKENBUSH(Quackenbush pinned Duggan after the Quackendriver II)JR: Wow! Quackenbush came up with that victory out of nowhere! No question, this man is full of surprises. Fans, I have just been told that Cousin Luke has caught up with Brutus Beefcake in the backstage area. Let's join the conversation! Luke appears backstage alongside Brutus Beefcake. Beefcake wears a short-sleeved white dress shirt and tie with a pocket protector and a pair of thick plastic-rimmed glasses.Luke: Hello, good buddy, Cousin Luke here, at yore service. What brung you to these parts? Brutus: Consulting work. Luke: Consorting work? Who you consorting with? Brutus: Bobby Heenan. Luke: Whatcha consorting to do? Brutus: Bobby brought me here to fix things. Luke: Fix things? Well, you look like a downright smart feller. Whatcha gonna fix? Brutus: Ummm... Bobby's books. Luke: I never knew Bobby to be much of a reader. Brutus: That's why I'm here, Mr. Luke. Luke: Well, it's a proud day in the Heartland, Jimmy! Bobby Heenan is gonna learn to read! Say, Mr. Brutus, when yore finished with Mr. Heenan, you think you could learn me a thing or two about readin' books? Brutus: Mr. Luke, it would be an honor! Luke slaps Beefcake on the back and laughs heartily. Luke: It's a great day here in Dayton, Jimmy! Let's get back to some rasslin'! UNCLE ELMER vs. NECRO BUTCHERAn intense battle took place between these two brawlers! Necro dealt out a ton of punishment, but Elmer was too massive to penetrate. Elmer finally caught Butcher with the Hillbilly Smash and it was lights out! WINNER: UNCLE ELMER(Elmer pinned Necro Butcher after the Hillbilly Smash)After the pinfall, JUSTIN CREDIBLE came to ringside and began shouting at Necro. Justin pointed at Uncle Elmer and told Necro to attack him! Necro turned instead and began shouting at Credible. Soon, Butcher and Credible came to blows. Credible went for a steel chair, but Necro kicked the chair smack into Justin's head! Credible went down and Necro was all over him. Necro wailed on Credible with kicks and punches, as Joe Kopasz tried to separate the brawl. Kopasz pulled Necro Butcher off of Justin, and Necro turned and levelled Kopasz with a stiff right hand. Immediately, BIG JIM THE ENFORCER hit the ring, followed closely by Cousin Luke. Big Jim managed to get Necro calmed down as Luke tended to Kopasz. Once Luke and Elmer helped Kopasz to his feet, Luke took the microphone.Luke: Necro Butcher! You don't come around here no more! You are trubble from the word go. Now you done hit a referee. Don't you ever come back or I will have you thrown in the clink! Big Jim, you take that feller out of here and you lock the door behind him! Jim and Elmer grabbed Necro as he screamed and pointed at Luke. The fans roared as Necro was shoved out the door. Joe Kopasz got back to his feet, dusted himself off, and immediately began preparation for the next match.JR: What a turn of events! It sure looked like Necro Butcher was trying to do the right thing. He didn't want to follow Justin Credible, but the situation got out of hand and once again Necro's temper got the best of him. I'm afraid we've seen the last of him around the Heartland. But no question, you gotta hand it to Cousin Luke for laying down the law! You also gotta hand it to Joe Kopasz. He took a pretty serious shot, but he's on his feet and ready to get us started with the main event! MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO w/ BOBBY HEENAN (c) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (BG JAMES & KIP JAMES)To all observers, it appeared that the Heenan Family had no intention of a legitimate title defense. Before the opening bell, Zbyszko jumped BG James and knocked him to the canvas! Joe Kopasz allowed the match to continue, and the Outlaws battled back. Kip and BG worked over Zbyszko, who finally managed to tag out to Ox. Baker immediately pitched BG out of the ring and bodyslammed him over the guard rails! BG went down hard and was not able to get back to his feet. Rather than issue a countout, Kopasz instead disqualified Baker and awarded the match to the Outlaws. In typical fashion, Baker kept on the attack after the decision! He continued to go after BG James at ringside, but BG escaped through the crowd before any further damage could be done.WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Ox Baker disqualified for slamming BG James on the steel security rail)BAKER & ZBYSZKO RETAIN THE TAG TEAM TITLESJR: I guess that's what you call living to fight another day. Ox Baker has put many a wrestller on the shelf in the Heartland, so indeed the Outlaws did the smart thing. They should be entitled to another title shot on the heels of the disqualification victory. But for tonight, Heenan's team will go home with the gold once again. It has been a bizarre night here in the Heartland on many levels. We've seen some excitement and some controversy, and at the end of the day, we only hope that the fans have enjoyed the show. We'll be back on Monday night with another exciting show. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #156 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio August 25, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, alongside COUSIN LUKE. JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to tonight's episode of NWA Heartland! We have a very interesting night planned for you tonight, featuring the in-ring debuts of a couple of new faces, and capped off by a hard-hitting grudge match! Our Main Event tonight will feature a no-holds-barred, no disqualification grudge match between to of the largest men in the Heartland as DON LEO JONATHAN takes on OX BAKER! Let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)JUSTIN CREDIBLE vs. LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)In a shocking match, Zbyszko appeared to be firmly in control of the match until Credible caught him on the turnbuckle and pitched him down to the canvas. Before Zbyszko could recover, Justin lifted him up and dropped him with That's Incredible and scored a clean pinfall victory! After the decision, a masked man raced into the ring and hit Credible from behind. Credible fired back, and in an instant the two were engaged in a fierce brawl! Security personnel streamed into the ring to separate the combatants, but the men broke free and the battle continued. As the fisticuffs raged on, ARIK CANNON and DRAKE YOUNGER dashed to the ring in defense of their mentor. Seeing the odds no longer in his favor, the masked man broke free from Credible and dashed away from the ring area.WINNER: JUSTIN CREDIBLE(Credible pinned Zbyszko after a That's Incredible)JR: Who was that guy? I mean, Credible has barely been here long enough to make enemies. He did have a scuffle with NECRO BUTCHER last week. Luke, you don't suppose that could have been Necro under that mask? Luke: No, I doubt it. JR: How can you be so sure? Luke: 'Cuz this feller had a big letter "M" on his mask, Jimmy. Now I ain't much on book learnin', but one thing I do know. Necro starts with "N", not "M". JR: Of course, Luke. I should have realized that. After all, didn't you tell Necro that you would have him arrested if he ever came back? Luke: That's right, JJ. So I don't expect we'll see him around these parts agin. JR: Good thinking, Luke. But let's also not overlook the fact that Credible wrestled quite a match in his debut. That's a BIG victory for Justin over Larry Zbyszko! Now let's head back to the ring for another debut match. TITO SANTANA vs. BRUTUS BEEFCAKETempers flared in this confrontation between the fiery Santana and the newcomer Beefcake. Brutus was in control after a pair of flying knee smashes, but Tito kicked out of the pinning predicament. Santana angrily tossed Beefcake out of the ring, then crushed him with a flying bodypress off the ring apron! Beefcake was staggered, but recovered quickly enough to prevent Tito from smashing his face to the ringside table! Brutus blocked the move, then retaliated and smashed Santana face first onto the table. Santana was out on his feet, and easy prey for a third Flying Knee Smash from Beefcake to finish it. WINNER: BRUTUS BEEFCAKE(Beefcake pinned Santana after a Flying Knee Smash)JR: Wow! Beefcake looked terrific in that match! A very successful premier for both Credible and Beefcake here this evening. Luke: You got that right, JJ. I like that Beefcake feller. He can rassle, and he's gonna teach me to read! JR: No question, Brutus is a man of many talents. DRAKE YOUNGER vs. JOHNNY VALENTINEYounger surprised Valentine, taking the fight to the veteran and using his brawling tactics effectively. Younger survived a couple of Atomic Skullcrushers, then went to work outside the ring. Drake was very sly, working over Valentine with a pair of light tubes until he bled profusely. Younger then delivered the Drake's Landing Vertebreaker, but the rugged Valentine kicked out! Younger angrily hurled Valentine out of the ring, and went back to work with the light tube. This time, Joe Kopasz saw the infraction and disqualified Younger. WINNER: JOHNNY VALENTINE(Younger disqualified for use of the light tube)After the decision, Younger wasn't satisfied. He continued to work on Valentine with the light tube, but Johnny didn't back down! Valentine pummeled Younger with punches, but seemed to weaken as he continued to bleed. But before Younger could do any further damage, the masked man dashed out of the locker room again! The attacker grabbed a steel chair and swung wildly at Younger, but Drake ducked the chair smash and escaped through the crowd.JR: There he is again! Who is that guy? There aren't many wrestlers who run around in bare feet and tattered blue jeans, Luke. Luke: Jimmy, where I come from, that's how most everybody dresses. JR: Even the ladies? Luke: Even the ladies. I'll be durned, JJ. You think that could be a filly in that get-up? JR ( rolling his eyes): You never know, Luke. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS ("SWEET" STAN LANE & "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON w/ JAMES E. CORNETTE) vs. THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS (ROY HEFFERNAN & AL COSTELLO w/ "WILD" RED BERRY)Referee Joe Kopasz had his hands full in this bout! Even before the opening bell, the fireworks began, as Bobby Eaton cold-cocked Al Costello! Eaton took over, nailing the stunned Kangaroo repeatedly with aerial manuevers and nearly catching a quick pinfall! But Costello survived the early onslaught and made a rousing comeback, finally managing to tag Heffernan into the match. Stan Lane took control of Heffernan with a barrage of karate kicks, until Wild Red Berry could no longer stand the frustration. Berry leaped onto the ring apron and cheap-shotted Lane, putting him on the canvas with a shot to the kidneys. This drew the ire of Joe Kopasz, who ejected Red Berry from ringside! But the damage had been done, as the Midnights found themselves on the defensive. Heffernan took over on both opponents, making frequent use of his Kangaroo Kick to turn the tide in the Aussies' favor. Costello recovered enough to rejoin, and the Kangaroos blasted Eaton with the Boomerang. Lane managed to break up the pinfall, but when Cornette came into the ring, Costello pitched Lane into his own manager, sending both Lane and Cornette tumbling out of the ring. The Kangaroos converted immediately, felling Eaton with a second Boomerang to finish him off! WINNERS: THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS(Heffernan pinned Eaton with the Boomerang)JR: No question, that match was totally out of control. Not what I might have expected from two of the classic tag teams in wrestling history, but with two men like Red Berry and Jim Cornette at ringside, I suppose all bets are off. Fans, it's time for tonight's main event! But before we go to the big grudge match, Wildman Butch Michaels has prepared a video package to document the events which led up to this confrontation. Footage is played from the recent matchup between DON LEO JONATHAN and Heenan Family member RAY STEVENS. Ray Stevens was clearly fighting an uphill battle in this match against the enormous Mormon. But Don Leo was not to be denied, dispatching Heenan then planting Stevens with a running spear to complete a clean pinfall.JR: From that moment, Ox Baker has sworn revenge, and now he has his opportunity to do just that in our next matchup. MAIN EVENT: SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH - NO DISQUALIFICATION OX BAKER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. DON LEO JONATHANIt wasn't pretty, but the grudge match between Jonathan and Baker was intense. Baker gnawed on the forehead of Jonathan to open him up, but the big Mormon knocked Baker down with a side kick to the throat and smashed him with a massive butt drop. In an amazing show of strength, Jonathan hoisted Baker up for a Giant Swing. Big Don dropped Baker hard to the mat, and quickly covered him for a three-count! After the surprise pinfall, Heenan came into the ring to confront Jonathan with a steel chair! Jonathan turned quickly and snarled at Heenan, who dropped the chair and scurried out of the ring! Jonathan picked up the chair, but Heenan rolled Baker out of the ring and up the aisle to safety before Jonathan could take a shot at him. Jonathan took the microphone and screamed at Heenan and Baker as they fled.Jonathan: Baker, you are a filthy stinkin' coward! You wanna jump me from behind? You wanna send your little weasel to get me? I'm not finished with you by a long shot, you ugly moron! I want you back in this ring, one on one, man against man- if you have the guts! WINNER: DON LEO JONATHAN(Jonathan pinned Baker after a Giant Swing)JR: Wow! The giant Mormon just dominated that situation! I've never seen Ox Baker have to turn tail and get away that quickly. I wonder when these two will cross paths again? Luke: Jimmy! Jimmy! JR: What is it, Luke? Did you discover the cure for cancer? Luke: Naw, nuttin like that. But I do have an idear. You know what the Heartland needs, Jimmy? JR: Reading tutors for everyone? Luke: Naw, we don't needs no tooters around here. It's already crazy enough. What we need is a big ol' steel cage for matches like that one. JR: A steel cage? Brilliant! No better way for two men to settle their differences, no question about that. Luke: You got it, JJ! I'll go talk to Cletus and we'll get it set. JR: Cletus? Luke: Yeah, Cletus the maintenance feller. He'll have us good to go in no time! JR: You know, Luke, I bet that would prove to be a very useful innovation for the Heartland. Thank you again for keeping things moving forward here. Fans, I thank you for joining us tonight for what has been a most interesting evening. We'll be back on Friday Night with another great card, featuring another main event grudge match as THE HIGH ROLLERS will take on THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #157 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio August 29, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring alongside COUSIN LUKE. JR is holding a microphone as Luke scans through the latest edition of the Wall Street Journal.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to another exciting night of Heartland Wrestling action. We have a great card planned for you tonight, highlighted by a long-awaited grudge match. Tonight, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE will attempt to exact his revenge against the MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, as Page and PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE take on BOBBY EATON and DENNIS CONDREY in a no-disqualification battle in tonight's main event. Luke, what do you think about that match? Luke looks up from his reading.Luke: I think it will be John McCain in a landslide. JR: John McCain? Luke: I gotta tell ya, Jimmy, Sarah Palin was a stroke of genius! JR: I guess that remains to be seen, Luke, but what's with the political commentary? Luke: My buddy Brutus has been learnin' me. Say, Jimmy, what do you think about General Petraeus' recommendation to scale back on U. S. Military presence in the Anbar Province? JR: What?!? Luke, we have wrestling matches to call tonight. Let's get to the ring for tonight's opening match. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)UNCLE ELMER vs. SCOTTY VORTEKZA back-and forth matchup pitting size against speed turned when Scotty executed a hellacious tope suicida on Elmer outside the ring! Both men hit the concrete floor hard, but Scotty made it back to his feet first. Elmer barely beat the ten-count, and when he rolled his 500-pound frame back into the ring, he was easy prey for Scotty's Dragonfly. WINNER: SCOTTY VORTEKZ(Scotty pinned Elmer after a Dragonfly)JR: Scotty Vortekz continues to surprise! I didn't give him much chance of beating Uncle Elmer. Luke: Me neither, Jimmy! My Uncle Elmer weighs 2.8 times as much as that little feller! JR: 2.8 times? How did you figure that? Luke: Brutus is learnin' me 'rithmatick too! "DIEHARD" DUSTIN LEE vs. RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Stevens had very little trouble dispatching Dustin Lee after overpowering him with a double underhook suplex and crushing him with a jumping knee smash to set him up for the finisher. WINNER: RAY "THE CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Lee after the Bombs Away)JR: Ouch! That was one high-impact series of moves from Crippler Stevens. No question, Stevens is a dangerous man, especially with Bobby the Brain pulling the strings. TEAM CANADA (THE MOUNTIE & ANGELO MOSCA) vs. THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & "JUMPIN'" JIM BRUNZELLThis match had everything! Early on, referee Joe Kopasz took a nasty spill after a collision with Angelo Mosca. As he lay out cold, the mystery man with the "M" on his mask dashed to the ring and attacked Jim Brunzell! Jumpin' Jim went down hard, but before the attacker could capitalize, Cousin Luke jumped from his seat at the ringside table and chased the mystery man out of the ring. This enabled the Bees to collect their thoughts and get back into the match. Brunzell wore out Mosca with a dazzling flurry of flying manuvers, leaving Mountie to deal with both the Bees. After Blair softened up Mountie with a sleeper hold, he tagged Brunzell back into the match for another flying finisher! WINNERS: THE KILLER BEES(Brunzell pinned Mountie with a Flying Head Scissors)After the match, Cousin Luke reappeared, walking in from the locker room. He was accompanied by the mystery man with the "M" on his mask. Luke had his arm around the masked man, chatting him up happily as they returned from the back.JR: Well! Luke, it looks like you have caught up with our mystery guest. Luke: Sure thing, Jimmy! This here's my new pal, Morty! JR: Um... nice to meet you, Morty. Is that short for something? Morty: It's short for Mortimer. Call me Mortimer. JR: Yes, sir. Mortimer it is! Luke: Morty here is a magician! Mortimer: A mortician. JR: Why are you here, Mortimer? Mortimer: I'm here to clean things up, and to get rid of unwanted waste. Luke: That's great, Morty! Are you gonna use your magic wand to make the trash all disappear? Mortimer: There is a lot of filthy rotten debris around here, and I will clean it up any way I have to. Luke: That's why he wears the mask, Jimmy. A lot of smelly trash around here, I reckon. JR: So Mortimer, you're here to "get rid of unwanted waste". Who hired you? Mortimer: A concerned citizen. May I go now? JR: Please, carry on. We have more business to conduct in the ring! Mortimer: Funny you should say that... carreon is my business, too! Luke: See you later, Morty! What a nice feller he was, don't ya think? JR: Indeed. DELIRIOUS vs. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSHIn a wild match, two of the most athletic and unorthodox competitors in the Heartland brought the house down! Quackenbush electrified the crowd with a series of flying moves, until he crashed and burned on the floor outside the ring. Delirious took over, hitting the Panic Attack on Quackenbush twice on the ring floor. When Quack finally made it back to the ring, Delirious locked him in to the Cobra Stretch and that was all she wrote. WINNER: DELIRIOUS(Delirious forced Quackenbush to submit to the Cobra Stretch)JR: What an exciting win for Delirious! My goodness, after that conversation with Mortimer the Mortician, and the way Luke has been acting tonight, even Delirious seems sane. DON LEO JONATHAN vs. "THE ANARCHIST" ARIK CANNONCannon fared surprising well against overwhelming odds, actually gaining a couple of near-falls on Jonathan. But his aggression went too far, as Cannon went for an ill-advised leap from the top turnbuckle. The giant Mormon caught him in a powerslam and finished him with a Rolling Back Splash. WINNER: DON LEO JONATHAN(Jonathan pinned Cannon after a Rolling Back Splash)JR: The big Mormon just keeps on rolling! And now, fans, it's time for the main event! MAIN EVENT: GRUDGE MATCH - NO DISQUALIFICATION DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE vs. DENNIS CONDREY & BOBBY EATON (w/ JAMES E. CORNETTE)DDP finally got his long-awaited grudge match against the Midnights. He stormed into the ring with his sights set on Dennis Condrey, but Eaton started the match and Condrey refused to tag in! Page became increasingly frustrated, but the crafty Midnights used this to their advantage. Eaton continued to taunt Page, until DDP went ballistic! Page finally floored Eaton with a Diamond Cutter, but Jim Cornette slid Bobby out of the ring before DDP could make the cover! DDP kicked the ropes in a rage, and finally tagged out to Rose. Rose entered the ring against Eaton, but Cornette plastered the Playboy with a racket shot and Eaton rolled him up for a quick 1-2-3! WINNERS: DENNIS CONDREY & BOBBY EATON (Eaton pinned Rose after Cornette interference)Following the match, Page wasn't satisfied, and he continued to press the attack, lunging after Condrey. Condrey was more than happy to oblige, and the two locked up in an intense brawl! Officials and wrestlers streamed in from the locker room to pull the combatants apart. Bobby Eaton and Sweet Stan Lane managed to protect Condrey and usher him safely back to the locker room. An angry Page took the microphone.Page: Condrey! You low-life! This ain't over! Condrey stood at the entry way to the locker room and waved at Page mockingly. Page stormed after him, but Condrey and the Midnights escaped through the curtain.JR: More frustration for Diamond Dallas Page as Condrey escapes and the Midnights steal a victory. Luke: You know what, Jimmy? I think if we put Page and Condrey in that steel cage, then ol' Condrey might not get away so easy! JR: You think we ought to have another cage match? Luke: Good thinkin', Jimmy! Ol' Cletus promised me he'd have us a cage ready before the next paper view. Why don't you see if you can't get them two fellers in for a cage match? JR: How about that! Fans, I think we have just signed another match for Heartland Havoc XIX. It will be Dennis Condrey and Diamond Dallas Page in the cage! That is shaping up to be one exciting pay-per-view! Ladies and gentlemen, we do thank you for joining us tonight. We'll be back on Monday night for another great night of action. You won't want to miss Monday's show, as the Heartland Television Title will be on the line. A very impressive champion, TAKESHI MORISHIMA, will be defending his title against PEPPER GOMEZ. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #158 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio September 1, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring alongside COUSIN LUKE. JR takes the microphone to address the crowd of approximately 375 people. JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to tonight's edition of NWA Heartland Wrestling! This is our final card before Heartland Havoc XIX, our next pay-per-view! We have an exciting card planned for you tonight, highlighted by a championship match! The Television Title will be on the line tonight as TAKESHI MORISHIMA defends the belt against PEPPER GOMEZ. But, before we head to the ring, our good friend and financeer COUSIN LUKE has a special announcement. Luke: Well, thank you JJ! I thought we were gonna have us a little problem tonight, but I done fixed it! JR: Great! What was the problem? Luke: You remember that Necro feller who got run off? JR: All too well. Luke: He was supposed to have a match tonight. But he ain't around no more! So I went and found us a replacement rassler. JR: Good work, Luke! Who is he? Luke: He's my new pal, MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN! Morty said he'd be glad to help us out. JR ( rolling his eyes): I couldn't be happier, Luke! So fans, tonight we will see the debut of Mortimer the Mortician in singles action. We'll also see a new referee tonight! NICK PATRICK will make his Heartland Wrestling debut. Now let's get to the ring! (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)As Nick Patrick starts the match, DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE joins Luke and JR at the announcers' table.JR: Welcome, Diamond Dallas Page! I guess you're here to watch Dennis Condrey in preparation for your big match at Heartland Havoc on Friday night? Page: That's right, JR! Condrey is a piece of garbage, and I can't wait to get my hands on him! DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JAMES E. CORNETTE) vs. THE DESTROYERThe presence of Dallas Page as commentator had a distracting effect on Condrey. Destroyer took advantage, gaining control of the match in the early going and dominating the Loverboy with his Boston Crab. Jim Cornette interrupted one pin attempt, but Destroyer chased him away from ringside! Page jeered at Cornette, and Condrey took exception. But when Condrey left the ring to confront DDP, the destroyer again capitalized, hitting Condrey from behind with a chop block. Condrey went down hard, and was easy pickings for the finish. After the finish, Page entered the ring and stood over the prone Condrey, then spat on him before leaving.WINNER: THE DESTROYER(Destroyer forced Condrey to submit to the Figure-4 leg lock)JR: Not exactly a stirring performance for Condrey tonight. Things could get ugly when Diamond Dallas gets him in the cage on Friday night! THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (BG & KIP JAMES) vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (IRON SHEIK & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF W/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)The former champions were in control from the opening bell, as Kip and BG controlled Volkoff and trapped him in their own corner. Volkoff survived a couple of vicious double-teams, but was unable to tag out to the Sheik. Nikolai finally escaped to the arena floor, where Breznikov slipped him a small steel pipe. Volkoff swung the pipe at Kip, but missed on the attempt. Nick Patrick saw the violation and immediately called for the disqualification. WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Volkoff disqualified for use of a foreign object)After the decision, Iron Sheik walked away from Volkoff in disgust. Breznikov followed the Sheik, leaving Volkoff alone in the ring.JR: I guess the frustration finally caught up with Sheik and Volkoff. They have met with very little success competing in the new Heartland. The talent pool in the tag team division is deep, and it's been a tough road for these guys indeed. I suppose time will tell what will be in store for the Foreign Legion next! MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN vs. HACKSAW JIM DUGGANDuggan was clueless, and not at all curious, about the identity of his masked opponent. The big man was not at all distracted by the diversion, and he pounded away on Mortimer, pummeling him with clotheslines and bodyslams. Morty kicked out of the Flying Spear, but was weakened enough that Duggan was able to finish him off with the Old Glory kneedrop. WINNER: HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN(Duggan pinned Mortimer after the Old Glory Kneedrop)As Duggan celebrated, JUSTIN CREDIBLE dashed to the ring and attacked Mortimer! Credible began putting the boots to Morty, until ANGELO MOSCA and THE MOUNTIE sprinted in from the locker room. Morty and the Canadians triple-teamed Credible until DRAKE YOUNGER and ARIK CANNON dashed in to the rescue. All six men scrambled to their feet, squaring off intently. Just as it looked like a major fracas was about to break out, Cousin Luke hustled to the ring and jumped between the factions.Luke: Morty! Morty! Are you all right? Morty: Never been better, cuz. Thanks for asking. Luke: Anything for a buddy! Now, all y'all quit yer scufflin' and git on outta here! Mountie: Not until we get our hands on Credible! Believe me, Luke, any friend of yours is a friend of mine! And remember, The Mountie ALWAYS gets his man! Luke: Now Mountie, this here ain't neither the place nor the time. How's about all y'all hook up on Friday night? My buddy Cletus the Maintenance Feller is gonna build us a steel cage! Now y'all scram so we can finish our show! Mountie leads Mosca and Morty back to the locker room. Credible stares down Luke, then takes his squad out the opposite way.JR: Well, how about that? Looks like we have another steel cage match for Friday night's pay-per-view. Team Canada, along with Mortimer the Mortician, will take on Justin Credible and the remaining Rejects, Arik Cannon and Drake Younger. Indeed, that match will be ugly- on many levels! Let's head back to the ring. THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE) vs. BOB & BRAD ARMSTRONGA highly competitive and entertaining match turned ugly in a heart beat! The Armstrongs and the Rollers went toe-to-toe, with all four men looking crisp. Frequent tags, and back-and-forth action were the order of the day, until Rose mysteriously cold-cocked Brad with a set of brass knuckles to score a stunning pinfall! WINNERS: THE HIGH ROLLERS(Rose pinned Brad Armstrong after a foreign object)JR: Goodness! Another moment of frustration. These High Rollers have turned up the intensity a notch, no question. After failing to get satisfaction in their match against the Midnight Express, you have to believe that Rose and Page are sending a message- loud and clear. We'll see if Diamond Dallas can deliver in his cage match against Dennis Condrey at Friday night's pay-per-view. As for the Armstrongs- tonight they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS vs. OX BAKER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Williams was intense as he headed to the ring, returning to action for the first time since losing the title match to Jimmy Snuka. But before Williams even made it to the squared circle, Baker jumped him on the arena floor! But Doc was up to the challenge, fending off Baker's assault, and smashing him into the ring post for good measure. From there, Williams controlled most of the action and punished the big Ox. Even after surviving an attack from Bobby Heenan on the arena floor, Williams overpowered Baker for a clean victory. WINNER: "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS(Williams pinned Baker with the Oklahoma Stampede)JR: Very impressive! Dr. Death just dominated that match against a huge and very dangerous opponent indeed. Speaking of huge and dangerous men, let's head to our main event and take a look at TAKESHI MORISHIMA as he defends the Heartland Television Title. MAIN EVENT: NWA HEARTLAND TELEVISION TITLE TAKESHI MORISHIMA (c) vs. PEPPER GOMEZThe TV Title match was more competitive than expected. Gomez took a lot of punishment, and managed some decent offense before succumbing to the power of Morishima. WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA - Retains Heartland TV Title(Morishima pinned Gomez after a Saito Suplex)JR: This guy Morishima is a monster! I've got to hand it to Gomez- he lasted longer than I thought he would, but Morishima is your winner and still your Heartland Television Champion! Fans, we do thank you for joining us here this evening. We sincerely hope you'll tune in on Friday Night for our pay-per-view broadcast! Heartland Havoc XIX: Caged Fury will be brought to you from Dayton, Ohio, the heart of the Heartland. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Havoc XIX: Caged Heat Montgomery County Fairgrounds, Dayton, Ohio September 5, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring in front of an electric crowd at the Fairgrounds. The steel cage is in place around the ring as JR addresses the crowd.JR: Good evening, fans of the Heartland, and welcome to Heartland Havoc XIX! It is great to see this Standing Room Only crowd here tonight. We have an awesome card ahead this evening, and we especially need to thank CLETUS THE MAINTENANCE FELLER for the work he put in to build this steel cage! We have three cage matches, and two title bouts scheduled for tonight! As JR speaks, COUSIN LUKE sprints in from back stage carrying a sheet of paper.Luke: Jimmy! Jimmy! We got a change for tonight! JR: A change? Luke: Yeah. I guess the computer goofed up. OX BAKER was scheduled for two matches tonight! JR: No, that's not a mistake. Ox is defending the Tag Team Titles tonight. He also signed for a cage match against DON LEO JONATHAN.Luke: That was changed. Jonathan is gonna rassle THE DESTROYER tonight instead. JR: Who decided that? Luke: The computer did. It says so right on this here paper. It came from the Internet, so it must be true! JR: That's strange. I confirmed everything personnally just this afternoon. JR is interrupted by his cell phone.JR: What's this? I just received a text message from JIM CORNETTE. Apparently he and BOBBY HEENAN as co-owners of the territory agreed on the change. JIM CORNETTE storms out to the ring.Cornette: JR James, what on earth has gotten into you? I never approved any changes to tonight's matches! Are your brains made out of rhubarb pie? JR: But you just sent me a text message, Mr. Cornette. Cornette searches his pockets.Cornette: Blast it! Somebody stole my cell phone! Cornette turns and dashes back to the locker room.JR: Fans, this is a most perplexing situation indeed. We'll need some time to sort through all this controversy. In the meantime, let's get our first match under way! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)STEEL CAGE GRUDGE MATCH: ANGELO MOSCA, THE MOUNTIE, & MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLE, ARIK CANNON, & DRAKE YOUNGERThe first-ever cage match in the new Heartland was protracted and brutal! All six men battled furiously! Credible was bloodied early, but battled on, intent to get his hands on Mortimer. All three of the Rejects took a pounding, with Drake Younger getting the worst of it before Credible came back into the cage and took over. Credible blasted Mosca with his Singapore cane, then bloodied Mountie on the side of the cage. Mosca was still stunned, and Credible dropped him with a DDT and scored the pinfall to end the match! After the pin, Credible tried to attack Mortimer, but Morty and Mountie were able to beat back Justin's attack and escape from the cage with no further damage. Credible shouted at Morty to challenge him to a single match in the cage, but Mountie protested that Mortimer is not under contract and not required to accept a challenge! Credible then challenged Mountie to a cage match, with the stipulation that if Credible wins, he will get to face Mortimer in a cage match.WINNERS: JUSTIN CREDIBLE, ARIK CANNON, & DRAKE YOUNGER(Credible pinned Mosca after a DDT)JR: What a violent confrontation indeed. This Mortimer the Mortician, whoever he is, finds himself at the center of controversy. All six men came out of that cage in rough shape. No question, Cousin Luke has raised the stakes by implementing the steel cage. After the match, JIM CORNETTE and THE DESTROYER stormed through the curtain, dragging BRUTUS BEEFCAKE by the arms. The two men threw Beefcake into the ring. His thick plastic-rimmed glasses flew off and his pocket protector spilled out into the ring.Cornette: Beefcake! You worthless hacker! Gimme back my cell phone! JR: Mr. Cornette? What's going on? Cornette: I think I just found the computer bug! Luke: Brutus? Cornette: You're looking at him! As Beefcake cowers, BOBBY HEENAN and RAY STEVENS dash to the ring. Stevens helps Beefcake to his feet as Heenan grabs the microphone.Heenan: Listen, Cornette. You're sticking your nose where it doesn't belong. This doesn't concern you. So let's you and me and Brutus go talk this out while Destroyer has his match. Cornette: Not on your life, Weasel! Your punk stole my cell phone! And I won't have you and Geek-Boy hacking into the computer and screwing with the scheduled matches! Heenan: Have it your way, Mama's boy! Stevens cold-cocks Cornette and drops him to the canvas. Destroyer lunges after Stevens and takes him to the mat. Heenan and Beefcake begin putting the boots to Cornette. Suddenly, DON LEO JONATHAN dashes to the ring and takes up for Cornette! In desperation, Joe Kopasz calls for the cage door to be closed, and an impromptu six-man cage match begins!STEEL CAGE GRUDGE MATCH RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS, BOBBY HEENAN & BRUTUS BEEFCAKE vs. DON LEO JONATHAN, JIM CORNETTE & THE DESTROYERThis impromptu brawl was action-packed, but not nearly as brutal as the opening contest. Beefcake was in big trouble at the hands of The Destroyer, until Heenan sneaked behind Destroyer and dropped him with a low blow. This allowed Stevens to enter the ring illegally. Destroyer escaped to tag out to Jonathan, but Stevens caught him coming in to the ring and floored him with a Jumping Knee Smash. Before Jonathan could get back to his feet, Stevens went to the top rope and pounced on the big Mormon, crashing onto him with a flying body press and catching a surprise pinfall! After the pin, Heenan and Brutus scrambled out of the cage and sprinted to safety with Stevens close behind. Destroyer grabbed the microphone.Destroyer: Beefcake! You tried to set me up- and I will make you pay! You got away easy tonight, but when I get my hands on you it will be your destruction! WINNERS: RAY STEVENS, BRUTUS BEEFCAKE, and BOBBY HEENAN(Stevens pinned Jonathan after a flying body press)JR: What a bizarre situation! No question, Brutus Beefcake was lucky to escape that match with his hide intact. But if Heenan and Beefcake are tampering with the matchmaking, that will raise more troubling questions indeed. STEEL CAGE GRUDGE MATCH DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE vs. DENNIS CONDREYPage came out firing on all scissors, executing several reversals and flooring Condrey with a discus clothesline. In a heartbeat, Page blasted Condrey with the Diamond Cutter and it was lights out for the loverboy! After the match, Page continued to pummel Condrey! Condrey tried to escape, crawling out of the cage, but PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE was waiting on him with a baseball bat! Rose got a hard blow into the rib cage of Condrey, knocking him to the floor, before BOBBY EATON and STAN LANE dashed to ringside to rescue Condrey from any further damage.WINNER: DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE(Page pinned Condrey after a Diamond Cutter)JR: Wow! Condrey really took the worst of that encounter. He lost the match, and nearly got a vicious beating before his partners came to his aid. He is still holding his stomach and looks a little worse for the wear as he makes his exit. We've seen some brutality here at Havoc XIX. Now let's see some legitimate wrestling action! We have two title matches yet to come tonight, fans, so sit back and enjoy the action! HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP LARRY ZBYSZKO & OX BAKER w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN (c) vs. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWSThe Outlaws fought hard, but Baker dominated both men inside the ring and out. BG saved Kip from being pinned after Baker's powerful Heart Punch, but Kip was too weak to return the favor. Baker's Heart Punch put BG down for the count. WINNERS and still Tag Team Champions: LARRY ZBYSZKO & OX BAKER(Baker pinned BG after a Heart Punch)JR: Oh, my goodness! Ox Baker was unstoppable in that match! Baker and Zbyszko really controlled that title contest from start to finish. Their title victory may have been considered a fluke, but tonight they have established themselves as the real deal on top of the tag team division. What a night for Bobby Heenan! He protected his man Ox Baker from a cage match which might have been costly. Then, he himself stepped into the cage and guided his team to victory. And finally, his duo of Baker and Zbyszko hold on to the gold. I guess that's why they call him "The Brain". Now, folks, let's head to our main event! HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. BRUISER BRODYBrody and Snuka engaged in a rugged, but highly entertaining brawl. Snuka looked sharp in the early going, electrifying the crowd with a leapfrog chop and dropping Brody with a piledriver. But Snuka went to the Superfly Leap prematurely, and Brody rolled clear. Bruiser took over, pounding Snuka with a barrage of high-impact blows. Snuka survived several pin attempts before he ran facefirst into a big boot from Brody. Three seconds later, Snuka's reign ended. WINNER and NEW HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Snuka after a Big Boot to the Face)JR: Ladies and gentlemen! History has been made! Bruiser Brody is your new Heartland Heavyweight Champion! What a tremendous battle! Brody now has the title belt. He's getting a handshake from Jimmy Snuka, and Snuka is raising the hand of the new champ! But you can bet there will be a rematch for these two men before long. These former tag team partners have electrified the crowd this evening and given us a spectacular climax to a very competitive night of action. We thank you, fans, for coming out tonight to witness Heartland Havoc XIX. We'll be back with more exciting Heartland Wrestling action on Monday. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #159 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio September 8, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring alongside COUSIN LUKE. JR addresses the packed house as the fans chant and cheer.JR: Good evening, fans of the Heartland, and welcome back to another exciting night of NWA Heartland Wrestling! We are coming to you live, on the heels of Heartland Havoc XIX, which was a night of triumph and controversy. Congratulations once again to BRUISER BRODY, who captured the Heartland Heavyweight Championship! Brody now stands at the top of the mountain in the Heartland, but the top dog in the NWA remains World Champion HARLEY RACE. Mr. Race is headed to the Heartland to defend his title on September 19, and tonight, we will begin the process of choosing his challenger. The top four men in the Heartland will compete for that honor, beginning this evening as Brody will square off against JOHNNY VALENTINE. Let's head to the ring for our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)PEPPER GOMEZ vs. LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY HEENAN)As the match opened, Heenan jumped on the ring apron and shouted at Gomez. Zbyszko took advantage of the diversion, and as soon as Gomez turned his attention to the ring, Larry dropped him with a shoulder breaker and covered him for the three count! WINNER: LARRY ZBYSZKO(Zbyszko pinned Gomez after a Shoulder Breaker)JR: Oh, my goodness! That must have been the quickest pinfall in the history of the Heartland! Gomez let his guard down and he paid the price. Following the match, Cousin Luke left his position at the announcers' table and went to the ring to confront Bobby Heenan.Luke: Bobby Heenan! You got some 'splainin' to do! Heenan: What are you talking about? Luke: How come you told BRUTUS BEEFCAKE to hack open the computer and change the matches at Havoc X - I - X ? You nearly ruined a perfectly good paper view! Heenan: Did not. Luke: Shore you did! Brutus, come out here and fess up! BRUTUS BEEFCAKE walks to the ring in his white short-sleeve dress shirt, with pocket protector, tie, and coke-bottle glasses. His pants are too short and his white socks are visible under his black dress shoes.Brutus: Hi, Luke! How you been? Whatcha been readin' these days? Luke: Just some Dostoyevsky. His nuanced understanding of human psychology creates an opus of vitality that established the background of some of the great European works of Literary Symbolism. But that's not why I called you out here, buddy. Did you hack open the computer at Havoc last week? Brutus: Piece of cake. All I had to do was create a back-door Trojan which I uploaded to the mainframe to bypass the firewall and override the security settings. Luke: Very impressive! But why did you do it? Brutus: Bobby Heenan hired me. Luke: There you go! Heenan, I knew you were lyin' to me! Larry Zbyszko steps between Luke and Heenan, but before he can attack, JIM CORNETTE marches in fron the locker room accompanied by TED DIBIASE. Cornette is waving a sheet of paper and hollering as he makes his way down the aisle.Cornette: Breach of contract! Breach of contract! Bobby Heenan, you violated your contract! DiBiase: Calm down, Cornette. Let me handle this. Bobby, the contract clearly stated than your ownership stake in Heartland was not to be compromised by your managing. So, Mr. Cornette is correct. You have clearly created a conflict of interest. You will hereby be relieved of all ownership of Heartland Wrestling, effective immediately! Cornette: Mine! All mine! It's all mine! Heenan: Cornette, you little shyster! I'll get you for this! DiBiase turns and leaves the ring. Cornette stops and addresses Cousin Luke.Cornette: Luke, I've got some great ideas for the future of the Heartland. With your financial backing, we can grow this territory into a major windfall! I'll have my people call your people to set up a meeting so we can do some strategic planning! Cornette excitedly follows DiBiase up the aisle, chatting incessantly as they disappear to the locker room.JR: Well! That is indeed a stunning turn of events! Bobby Heenan is no longer the co-owner of the Heartland. Luke, do you think you will continue to support the financial workings of the territory? Luke: I don't know, Jimmy. I love Heartland Rasslin', but I shore don't think I trust that Cornette feller. JR: No question, he is a shrewd man. You would be well advised indeed to watch your back- and especially your wallet- if you decide to do business with the likes of James E. Cornette. Let's head back to the ring! THE DESTROYER vs. DON LEO JONATHANIn a battle of the impromptu tag team partners from Havoc XIX, Destroyer outfoxed Jonathan, dodging an attempted Dropkick and putting him down with a Sensational Suplex. Before the giant could respond, Destroyer locked him into a Figure-4 and Jonathan was powerless to escape! WINNER: THE DESTROYER(Destroyer forced Jonathan to submit to the Figure-4)JR: Another shocker! No question, we expected the Destroyer to put up a good fight, but I don't think anyone anticipated that he would make Jonathan tap out within the first five minutes of the match! BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK) vs. DELIRIOUSThe goofy Delirious dashed about the ring before the match, leaving Bobo confused and Slick amused. Delirious did his best to keep Bobo off balance throughout the match, and Brazil struggled to piece together any offense. Delirious slipped out of the ring, and a frustrated Brazil followed. Delirious whipped Bobo into the steel railings and Nick Patrick immediately called for the disqualification. Following the decision, Delirious tore around the ring, babbling wildly and complaining about the disqualification. Delirious drew back a fist to nail Nick Patrick, but Slick stepped in between. Delirious slid into the ring, still babbling, and began impersonating Slick's trademark dance moves. Slick grinned from ear to ear, and joined Delirious in the ring. Bobo followed, and all three thrilled the crowd with a spontaneous dance routine!WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Delirious disqualified for whipping Brazil to the steel railing)JR: Looks like Delirious just found a new best friend! Bobo knows how to have a good time, and the Reverend Slick is the coolest cat in the business. Indeed, this is one bizarre scene we have been treated to. Nick Patrick was a bit quick on the trigger for that disqualification, but Delirious made lemonade out of the lemons he was handed. THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE) vs. THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS (AL COSTELLO & ROY HEFFERNAN w/ WILD RED BERRY)In the most competitive match of the night, the Roos and the Rollers tore up the town! The match went over 25 minutes with the advantage shifting back and forth repeatedly. Red Berry made his presence known, saving Heffernan from the pinfall after Page put him down with the Diamond Cutter. But it was the Rollers who got the last laugh, planting Costello with a double DDT as Nick Patrick was tied up with Berry, leading to the finish. WINNERS: THE HIGH ROLLERS(Rose pinned Costello after a double-DDT)JR: What a match! The Rollers pulled that victory out of nowhere, no question about it. The Kangaroos still hold the #1 contenders' position, but Page and Rose have put a major statement on their resume with tonight's victory. And now, fans, let's head to the Main Event- the first match in our quest to see who will challenge for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING MATCH BRUISER BRODY vs. JOHNNY VALENTINEIn a completely one-sided bout, Brody took control at the opening bell and pounded the living daylights out of Valentine. Johnny managed to come back from a Jumping Knee Drop and a pair of Piledrivers, but the damage was done and Brody finished it in a heartbeat. WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Valentine after a Big Boot to the Face)JR: Wow! Brody just overwhelmed a very capable opponent! He just won the Heartland Heavyweight Title, and now he has his sights set on the World Heavyweight Championship! Harley Race will have his work cut out for him indeed. Fans, we thank you for joining us here in Dayton tonight. We'll be back on Friday with another great card. Our main event will be the seconde qualifying match for the World Heavyweight Championship as DON LEO JONATHAN takes on BOBO BRAZIL. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #160 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio September 12, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring accompanied by JIM CORNETTE. Each man is holding a microphone as JR prepares to address the crowd.Cornette: Hello, fans, and welcome to Jim Cornette's Heartland Wrestling Federation! Nobody knows how to promote wrestling as well as James E. Cornette, and tonight we have a fantastic card planned for you! I gave COUSIN LUKE the night off tonight, so I could come out here from the kindness of my heart and grace you with my abundance of wrestling knowledge. JR, tell us what's in store tonight! JR: Well, Jim- Cornette: That's right, JR, we've got it all here in the Heartland. Another qualifying match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship is in store as tonight's main event as two big ugly giants square off. I'm talking about BOBO BRAZIL and DON LEO JONATHAN in a match-up of two dunderheads who were abused as children. Remember, fans, the World Heavyweight Championship match is only one week away! Now tell them about tonight's big grudge match, JR! JR: Thank you, Jim- Cornette: No, thank you, JR! Tonight's big grudge match will pit THE MOUNTIE against JUSTIN CREDIBLE. If Credible wins the bout tonight, he will get a shot at MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN! Now, JR, it's time for you to stop flapping your yap so we can see some wrestling! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)OX BAKER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. "DIEHARD" DUSTIN LEEBaker had a relatively easy time with the undersized Lee and disposed of him with a thunderous Heart Punch. WINNER: OX BAKER(Baker pinned Lee after a Heart Punch)JR: A dominant vict- Cornette: Is that the best competition we have to offer? That ugly idiot barely broke a sweat. His wrestler had a pretty good night too! Heenan hears the insult from Cornette and marches to the announcers' table.Heenan: Now you listen to me, you sniveling little punk! Nobody likes a tattletale. I have a mind to put you in your place right now! Cornette: I'm not stupid, Heenan. You think I'm going to get in your face while you have your big Ox here? I own this company now, and if you or your big Ox lay one finger on me I'll fire you both on the spot. Heenan: You'll get yours, momma's boy. Trust me! Heenan and Ox storm back to the locker room.Cornette: Guess I showed him! I knew he was afraid to mess with me. Now, how about some more wrestling action? JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. BRUTUS BEEFCAKEValentine took control of this match early, and seemed to be headed for an easy victory until OX BAKER returned to ringside! Valentine was distracted, and Brutus took advantage with a Flying Knee Smash from behind. Valentine was hurt, and Beefcake took advantage, dominating the action for several minutes. But Brutus was unable to pin Valentine, and Johnny rallied. Valentine picked up a near-fall after an Atomic Skullcrusher, but Baker pulled referee Joe Kopasz out of the ring and interrupted the count. Baker and Kopasz screamed at each other as the match continued, until BIG JIM THE ENFORCER came to ringside and ushered Baker back to the dressing room without incident. By this point, Valentine had regained control of the match and was able to force Beefcake to submit to an Abdominal Stretch. WINNER: JOHNNY VALENTINE(Valentine forced Beefcake to submit to the Abdominal Stretch)Cornette: Now wait just a pea-pickin' minute! Somebody better tell me what Ox Baker was doing out here during that match! Beefcake, are you still a part of the Heenan Family? Beefcake: No, sir. That was a one-time consultation, sir. Cornette: If I find out otherwise, Beefcake, there will be hell to pay! JR James: Mr. Cornette, you are one intimidating authority figure, indeed. Cornette: Pipe down, loudmouth! Do your job and call these matches! SCOTTY VORTEKZ vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANIn another brief and uneventful match, Duggan overpowered Scotty from the opening bell and put him on the canvas in less than five minutes. WINNER: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN(Duggan pinned Vortekz after a Tough Guy Clothesline)JR: Hacksaw really looked- Cornette: Furry? Retarded? Corpulent? That big lug ought to be sweeping the floors, not competing in the big matches! Who booked this guy? JR: Ted DiBiase did. Cornette: 'Nuff said. What else we got tonight? THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & "JUMPIN" JIM BRUNZELL) vs. PEPPER GOMEZ & TITO SANTANAA closely matched contest turned when the Mexicans unleashed a vicious double-team! As Gomez executed his Mexican Leap, Santana simultaneously nailed Blair with a dropkick to the back of the head and Blair was dead meat. WINNERS: PEPPER GOMEZ & TITO SANTANA(Gomez pinned Blair with a Mexican Cradle)JR: Now that was a heckuva move! Cornette: You're still here? Nobody came to listen to you run your mouth! Let's see the big grudge match! JR: We'll get the next match started in just a few moments. Before we go to the ring, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS has prepared a video clip to document the feud between Credible and the Mountie. The clip begins with footage of the brawl between Justin Credible and Necro Butcher, which led to Necro being kicked out of the Heartland. The mysterious appearance of MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN follows, as Morty aligns himself with Team Canada. Another brawl between Morty and Credible is shown, as Team Canada comes to the aid of the masked mortician. The clip ends with footage from the six-man match at Havoc XIX, as Credible pinned ANGELO MOSCA but was unable to get his hands on Mortimer. Credible then challenged Mountie to a no DQ match, with the stipulation that if Credible wins, he will get to face Mortimer in a cage match.GRUDGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATIONTHE MOUNTIE vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLEMountie wrestled a smart match against the emotionally charged Credible. Mountie kept the pace of the match to a crawl, wearing down Credible and pinning him cleanly after a Short Choke Slam. After the decision, Credible launched himself at Mountie and blasted him across the back with the Singapore Cane! Mountie went down to the canvas hard, but rolled out of the ring and retrieved his shock stick. Mountie lunged after Credible and tried to shock him, but Justin escaped up the ring ramp. Before he could get through the curtain, appeared and slugged him! Credible and Mortimer brawled furiously in the entry way, pounding away at each other mercilessly. Heartland Security streamed from the locker room to separate the combatants, led by BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and Referee NICK PATRICK. Just as it seemed that the situation had settled, Credible broke free and lunged at Mortimer again. When Nick Patrick interposed himself, Justin levelled him with the Singapore Cane! At this point, Big Jim took control, hoisting Credible into the air and hauling him back to the locker room area.WINNER: THE MOUNTIE(Mountie pinned Credible after a Short Choke Slam)Cornette: Enough! Enough! Justin Credible, you bald buck-toothed pinhead! You just assaulted a Heartland Official! JR: Do you think he should be suspended? Cornette: Suspended? No way! This is just the kind of action the fans want to see. We're not going to suspend a guy who is drawing crowds and making money! JR: So what are you going to do? Cornette: I'm going to FINE him! Justin Credible, you are fined $5,000 for abuse of a Heartland Official! JR: $5,000? You know Justin Credible doesn't have that kind of money. We're only paying him $50 per appearance! Cornette: Well, that's HIS problem. He should have thought about that before he took the cane to Nick Patrick. JR: You're the boss, Mr. Cornette. Shall we get back to the ring for the main event? Cornette: Let's do it. NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH DON LEO JONATHAN vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)Jonathan used his superior physical skills to keep Bobo on the defensive for much of the match, but Bobo dominated action outside the ring and brawled his way to an advantage. After wearing the giant Mormon down with a series of Coco Butts, Brazil hoisted him overhead and crushed him with a body slam to gain a hard-earned victory! WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Brazil pinned Jonathan after a Bobo Body Slam)JR: What a match! Bobo Brazil is your winner and moves on to the #1 Contenders' Match for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship! That match should be an outstanding contest. Fans, it has been a great night of action here in Dayton and we are privileged that you have joined us. Be sure and tune in again on Monday night for another exciting evening! Our Main Event will be the Contenders' Match between BOBO BRAZIL and BRUISER BRODY, with a World Title shot on the line! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #161 Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum, Dayton, Ohio September 15, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES and JIM CORNETTE standing in the ring together. The crowd of about 400 people is abuzz as JR prepares to introduce the show.JR: Good evening, fans- Cornette: And welcome to Jim Cornette's Heartland Wrestling! Tonight, as usual, we have some outstanding matches for you. But first, a word from our sponsor- ME! This is the beginning of a new era in Heartland Wrestling- the Age of Cornette! I am the greatest wrestling promoter of the modern era, and now that I am in charge, the future of the Heartland has never looked brighter! As much as we appreciate the loyal fan base of Dayton, Ohio, Heartland Wrestling deserves better than this little gathering of corn-fed retards! It's time for the Heartland to get back out on the road. Tonight's show will be the LAST time we wrestle in a horse barn. Beginning on Friday night, Heartland Wrestling will be back in the limelight! But for tonight, we do have some exciting matches in store. JR, tell us about tonight's card! JR: Thanks, Mr. Cornette. Don't you have a match to manage this evening? Cornette: Yes, I do, JR. Try not to screw things up to much while I'm gone. Cornette hands JR his microphone and exits to the dressing room.JR: I'll try my best, Mr. Cornette. Fans, we do have an exciting night tonight with a very special Double Main Event! First, the Heartland Television Championship will be on the line as TAKESHI MORISHIMA defends the title against JUSTIN CREDIBLE! And in our main event, NWA Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY will be in action in a non-title match against BOBO BRAZIL. The winner of that match will receive the World Title shot against HARLEY RACE on Friday night. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. ARIK CANNONIn a marathon opening match, the injured Condrey battled against Cannon on an even field. As the match wore on, Cornette became more and more open with his interference, finally swatting Cannon across the back with his tennis racket! Nick Patrick was initially reluctant to confront Cornette, and Cornette threatened Patrick's job if he crossed the Heartland owner. Finally, Patrick had enough, and EJECTED Cornette from ringside! Cornette scoffed at the referee and refused to leave, until BIG JIM THE ENFORCER came to ringside and removed him! This only served to infuriate Condrey, who unleashed a vicious Gut Wrench Suplex a few moments later to earn a hard-fought pinfall. Following the decision, STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON stormed the ring and jumped Cannon! The three Midnights assaulted Cannon mercilessly, as Condrey led the attack. Condrey wrapped a steel chair around the leg of Cannon as Lane held his arms and Eaton performed a flying leg drop onto the chair! Cannon shrieked with pain after the blow, prompting DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE and PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE to dash to the ring and chase off the Midnights. But the damage had been done, as Cannon lay wounded on the mat, his left leg mangled severely.WINNER: DENNIS CONDREY(Condrey pinned Cannon after a Gut Wrench Suplex)JR: What on earth just happened? Mr. Cornette, there has got to be some explanation for this unprovoked attack! Cornette returns to the top of the ramp.Cornette: You're darn right there is an explanation. Nick Patrick, I own this company and that means I own YOU. Nobody sends me away from ringside in the middle of a match with one of my men. My authority in this company will not be questioned. As a result of YOUR actions, Nick Patrick, that poor kid in the ring got his leg busted. Anybody in this organization who crosses me will face a similar fate. Do I make myself clear? JR: You have gotten your point across, Mr. Cornette. Cornette: Not quite, JR. I'm not finished yet. Nick Patrick- you are FIRED! Get your gear and get out! Nick Patrick shrugs and walks out of the ring, dejected.Cornette: Anybody else want to cross the boss? JR: No, sir. Cornette: Fine. Now get that mangy carcass of Nick Cannon or whoever he is out of the ring so we can gives these fans what they paid for. JR: Yes, sir. Fans, we are going to take a short break while our medical staff tends to Arik Cannon. While we are waiting, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS is backstage for a special interview segment with THE FOREIGN LEGION.Butch: Thank you, JR. As you may recall, a couple of weeks ago, the Foreign Legion lost a tag team match against the NEW AGE OUTLAWS when Nikolai Volkoff got his team disqualified. After that match, the Iron Sheik and Nikita Breznikov walked out on their partner. Tonight, I am here with the Sheik and Mr. Breznikov to discuss that incident further. Nikita Breznikov, can you give us an update on that situation? Breznikov: There is no update. There is no situation. Butch: Where is Nikolai Volkoff? Breznikov: There is no Nikolai. Butch: No Nikolai? What have you done with him? Breznikov: Tonight, you shall see the debut of my new tag team, Iron Sheik and Fritz von Goering. Butch: Where is Nikolai? Brenikov: Farewell, Comrade. Breznikov and Sheik depart from the scene.Butch: What a shocking situation. JR, I can't get an honest answer from Nikita Breznikov regarding the whereabouts of Nikolai Volkoff. We'll keep a close eye on this situation as it develops. JR: Thank you, Wildman. We are all very concerned about Nikolai. It looks as if we are ready to return to the ring for our next contest! (Referee: Joe Kopasz)HILLBILLY JIM vs. MIKE QUACKENBUSHIn less than two minutes, the technically savvy Quackenbush tied the big Hillbilly up in knots, and pinned him after a Quackendriver II ! WINNER: MIKE QUACKENBUSH(Quackenbush pinned Jim after a Quackendriver II)JR: Quite a performance by the young Quackenbush, indeed. Of all the independent guys that Jim Cornette brought in, no question that Quackenbush has been the most successful. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (BOBBY EATON & STAN LANE w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (IRON SHEIK & FRITZ VON GOERING w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)The crowd issued a resounding course of boos for the return of Cornette and the Midnights, but Eaton and Lane didn't seem to care. The Midnights trapped von Goering in the ring and pummeled him for a quick and decisive victory. WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Lane pinned Von Goering after an Enzuigiri)JR: So, the men of Cornette continue to have success in the squared circle. If Brenikov wants to see the same level of success, his new team will need some work indeed. HEARTLAND TELEVISION TITLE TAKESHI MORISHIMA (c) vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLECredible surprised the Dayton fans, taking the fight to Morishima. It looked like an uphill battle for Justin until he caught Morishima twice with the Singapore Cane to take control. A massive DDT from Credible nearly earned him a pinfall, but Morishima just got his foot onto the bottom rope to save his title. Morishima reversed a whip to the ropes and caught Justin with a massive clothesline, sending him to the ring floor. Still infuriated over the cane shots, Morishima caught Credible by the back of the neck and smashed him into the steel security railing. Joe Kopasz immediately disqualified Morishima, but the champion escaped the match with his title intact. After the decision, Credible went after Morishima with the cane again, but the giant Japanese managed to disarm him and snap the cane in two! Intimidated by the show of force, Justin retreated up the ring ramp, but continued to point and curse at Morishima as he departed.WINNER: JUSTIN CREDIBLE(Morishima disqualified after ramming Credible into the steel security railing)Morishima retains Heartland Television TitleJR: Wow! What a match for Justin Credible! He was the prohibitive underdog heading into this match, but he held his own against the big man. In my opinion, he has earned a return match for the title. But as Jim Cornette will tell you, my opinion around here means nothing. There's only one opinion that counts. We'll see what Mr. Cornette decides to do about the Television Title in the near future. Now, let's head to our Main Event. The World Heavyweight Championship title shot is on the line! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDERS' MATCHBRUISER BRODY vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)With the World title shot at stake, the two behemoths locked up in a titanic struggle for dominance. The pace of the match was slow and methodical, as each man sought to overpower the other, but both withstood the punishment. After about fifteen minutes of action, JIM CORNETTE returned to ringside and declared the match would be a NO DISQUALIFICATION bout! Brody was the first to take advantage, hurling Brazil out of the ring and planting him with a mighty choke slam onto the concrete floor. Bobo was clearly shaken, but crawled back in to the ring before the 10-count. Brody was ready for him, launching himself from the top turnbuckle with a crushing blow to seal the match. WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Brazil after a Flying Body Press)After the pinfall, JIM CORNETTE raced back to the ring, microphone in hand, to congratulate Brody. Big Bruiser accepted the handshake, but didn't seem receptive to any further communication with Cornette.Cornette: Congratulations to Bruiser Brody! Fans, get on your feet and give it up for this man- he is the dominant wrestler in the Heartland and he is poised to take down HARLEY RACE on Friday night for the World Heavyweight Title! I am pleased to announce that this match will be held in a much more suitable venue. On Friday night, you will see the return of the legendary "Friday Night Fury", highlighted by the World Title Match, brought to you live from the Ervin J. Nutter Center, just up the road! Ladies and gentlemen, the privilege has been yours, and we'll see you Friday Night!

NWA Heartland Card #162 E. J. Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio September 19, 2008 The show opens in front of a crowd of about 500 people in the spacious gymnasium. JR JAMES and JIM CORNETTE stand in the ring to greet the enthusiastic crowd.Cornette: Hello, fans and welcome to Friday Night Fury, brought to you by Jim Cornette's Heartland Wrestling! Finally, the Heartland has returned to a first-class facility! Suddenly, Cornette is interrupted by the Titantron. TED DIBIASE appears on screen. Cornette and JR both appear shocked.DiBiase: You're right, Jim Cornette, this is a first class facility! It's amazing what you can do with technology. Like this! A video clip plays, showing footage from Monday night's card at the County Fairgrounds. STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON storm the ring and jump Arik Cannon! But the damage had been done, as Cannon lay wounded on the mat, his left leg mangled severely. The footage continues with a rant from Cornette himself.Cornette: Nick Patrick, I own this company and that means I own YOU. Nobody sends me away from ringside in the middle of a match with one of my men. My authority in this company will not be questioned. As a result of YOUR actions, Nick Patrick, that poor kid in the ring got his leg busted. Anybody in this organization who crosses me will face a similar fate. Nick Patrick- you are FIRED! Get your gear and get out! DiBiase: Jim Cornette, you have repeatedly violated the terms of your ownership agreement. Excessive fines, unnecessary violence, terminating employees without cause. Three strikes and you're out, Cornette! JR: Out? What do you mean, Mr. DiBiase, sir? DiBiase: What I mean, JR, is that Jim Cornette has forfeited his stake in the ownership of Heartland Wrestling. Heartland has once again, per the terms of our bill of sale, become the property of the Million Dollar Corporation! An announcement will be forthcoming about the future of the company! JR: Oh, my goodness! The Heart- Cornette: DiBiase, you crooked double-crossing polecat! You planned this all along! You won't get away with this- I promise, I will make you pay! DiBiase: Oh, pipe down, Cornette. You're all talk. Get out of my ring and go back to managing. Tell your story walking! JR, tell the fans about tonight's matches. Cornette slams his tennis racket against the ring post and storms out of the ring.JR: Wow... ummm... thank you, Mr. DiBiase. In fact, we have a GREAT show for the return of Friday Night Fury! TWO title matches tonight! The World Heavyweight Champion HARLEY RACE is here tonight to defend his title against our own BRUISER BRODY! And, the Heartgland Tag Team Championship will be on the line as the champions, Bobby Heenan's duo of OX BAKER and LARRY ZBYSZKO, defend the belts against THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS. Let's head to the ring for our opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)DRAKE YOUNGER vs. TITO SANTANASantana started quickly and maintained the advantage through most of the match. When Tito wrapped Younger into the Figure-4 in the center of the ring, JUSTIN CREDIBLE dashed to the ring and attacked Santana with a Singapore Cane! Joe Kopasz immediately called for the disqualification as Credible fled from the ring. As Tito turned to stare down Credible, Younger jumped him from behind! Younger put Tito on the mat and stomped away, but the fiery Santana fought back. The brawl raged from the ring onto the rampway as Heartland security struggled to separate the brawlers. Just as it appeared that order would be restored, Younger broke free and clocked Tito with a forearm to the side of the head! Finally, cooler heads prevailed and both men were escorted away from ringside.WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Younger disqualified for outside interference)JR: How about that! Justin Credible continues to make his presence felt throughout the Heartland. After losing his partner ARIK CANNON on Monday night, he is understandably protective of his fellow Rejects. But Santana doesn't take a step back for any man, as he proved in that situation, no question about that. As Joe Kopasz prepares the ring for the next match, COUSIN LUKE strolls to ringside to the cheers of the fans. Luke joins JR at the broadcast table.JR: Well, hello Luke! This is certainly a pleasant surprise! Luke: Howdy there, Jimmy! I just came to watch my buddy Morty rassle agin my Uncle Elmer! JR: Sounds great, Luke! Let's go on to the match! MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN vs. UNCLE ELMERDespite giving up 250 pounds, Mortimer put up a good fight and nearly pinned big Elmer after an Asiatic Spike. But Elmer fought back, flattening Mortimer with a Hillbilly Splash. Mortimer managed to kick out of the pin, but in a remarkable moment, Elmer went to the bottom turnbuckle and hurled himself at Morty, crushing him with a flying shoulder block to secure the pinfall. WINNER: UNCLE ELMER(Elmer pinned Mortimer after a flying shoulder block)After the match, Luke climbed into the ring and helped Mortimer to his feet. Luke and Elmer then danced the jig together and Mortimer joined in! The three men left the ring together and danced their way back to the locker room.JR: Like birds of a feather, those three. Let's just hope that NECRO BUTCHER doesn't show up and see this spectacle. RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY HEENAN) vs. STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMSA grueling and highly competitive match between Stevens and Dr. Death thrilled the Dayton crowd for over 20 minutes! Stevens was in control for long segments of the match, but the resilient Williams refused to go down for the count. Doc turned the match in his favor with a stunning Backdrop Driver, and Stevens was on dream street. Williams flattened the Crippler with a standing dropkick and it was all over with. WINNER: "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS(Williams pinned Stevens after a Standing Dropkick)JR: Dr. Death continues to climb the ladder as one of the top contenders in the Heartland! THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (KIP & BG JAMES) vs. TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA & THE MOUNTIE)Superior teamwork propelled the Outlaws to a dominant performance against Mountie and Mosca. Mosca was isolated in the ring for a long period of time and worn down severely. When Mountie came to the rescue, BG caught him and blasted the Canadians with a double noggin knocker! Mosca was staggered and Mountie tumbled out of the ring, allowing Kip to finish Mosca and score the pinfall. WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Kip pinned Mosca after a Standing Leg Drop)JR: A fine performance indeed by the New Age Outlaws. The Heartland tag team division is certainly loaded with capable teams! Now, let's take a look at the upper echelon of Heartland tag teams as they battle it out for the titles! NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY HEENAN) (c) vs. THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS (ROY HEFFERNAN & AL COSTELLO w/ "WILD" RED BERRY)The Kangaroos dominated Baker and Zbyszko with their athleticism. Bobby Heenan used every trick in the book, saving Baker from a pinfall, but his champions were unable to solve the Aussies. Zbyszko fared no better and quickly fell prey to the Boomerang for a clean pinfall! WINNERS: THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS(Heffernan pinned Zbyszko after a Boomerang)THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS CAPTURE THE HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP!JR: Fans, history has been made here in Dayton! The Fabulous Kangaroos have captured the NWA Heartland Tag Team Championship! The Kangaroos have been a very impressive team since their arrival, and it is no surprise that they have ascended to the top of the mountain with tonight's victory. Congratulations to Wild Red Berry, Roy Heffernan, and Al Costello as they celebrate with their title belts! Now, fans, let's head to the Main Event, where the biggest prize in the wrestling industry awaits! MAIN EVENT: NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP HARLEY RACE (c) vs. BRUISER BRODYThe World Champion proved his mettle tonight against a stiff challenge from the #1 man in the Heartland. Brody dominated the early stages of the match, pummeling Race from pillar to post. But Harley took the best that Bruiser could dish out and kept coming. Race saw his opportunity, and bounced Brody's head off the steel steps at ringside to gain control. Race took over at that point, methodically picking his challenger apart and scoring a conclusive victory. WINNER: HARLEY RACE(Race pinned Brody after a Piledriver)HARLEY RACE retains the NWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJR: Very impressive performance by your world champion Harley Race! Race took a serious pounding, but he took the measure of Bruiser Brody after a rugged confrontation indeed. Congratulations to Harley Race, no question he is a worthy champion! NWA Heartland Card #163 Hobart Arena, Troy, Ohio September 22, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES standing in the center of the ring alongside COUSIN LUKE.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! The Heartland is back out on the road, and I couldn't think of a finer venue than historic Hobart Arena! This building may seat 4,000 people on a good night, but it has played host to some of some of the finest wrestling that the Midwest United States has ever experienced. And tonight, we have a fine show in store. Our main event will feature a special challenge match, pitting TITO SANTANA against JUSTIN CREDIBLE in the aftermath of their confrontation last Friday night at Fury. Also this evening, the owner of Heartland Wrestling, Inc., TED DIBIASE, will be on hand with a special announcement about the leadership of the territory. So relax, ladies and gentlemen, sit back and enjoy the show! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN vs. "MR. PERFECT" CURT HENNIGMortimer came to the ring with the cheers of the fans and a playful demeanor. But his entrance was dwarfed by the pomp of the grand arrival of the Heartland's newest superstar! Hennig and Morty hooked up in a highly competitive bout. Mr. Perfect dominated the early stages of the match with his athleticism, but Mortimer took the match outside of the ring and brawled his way to an advantage. The advantage was short-lived, as Hennig returned to the ring and floored Morty with a standing dropkick! Before the Mortician could get to his feet, Hennig wrapped him up in a sleeper hold and finished him off. WINNER: CURT HENNIG(Hennig forced Mortimer to submit to a Sleeper Hold)After the match, Hennig hoisted up the unconscious Morty and began tugging at his mask! The jostling brought Mortimer back to his senses. Just as Hennig pulled the mask off Mortimer, he was able to cover his face in his arms and flee from ringside without being recognized.Luke: Why, that low-down polecat! He done stole Morty's mask! JR: Are you going to go find out Mortimer's identity? Luke: What a fine idea! JJ, you shore are a bright feller! I'll be back in a flash. Luke leaves the announcer's table and retrieves the mask, then heads backstage.JR: The saga of the Great Unsolved Mystery continues... DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. LARRY ZBYSZKO (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN)Neither Cornette nor Heenan were in any mood for celebration as their men faced off. Despite wrestling with bandaged ribs, Condrey took the fight to Zbyszko and caught a couple of near-falls in the early moments. A frustrated Zbyszko countered, whipping Condrey to the turnbuckle and charging headlong. But Condrey pulled Joe Kopasz into the path of the charging Zbyszko, and Kopasz went down hard. With the official incapacitated, Cornette immediately interjected himself into the match, waylaying Heenan with his tennis racket! As Cornette climbed into the ring, Zbyszko pulled the pad off the turnbuckle and sent Condrey careening facefirst into the exposed steel! When Zbyszko turned to catch Cornette by the throat, STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON raced in from the locker room. But Zbyszko was ready, hurling Cornette into Eaton and sending both men tumbling out of the ring. Lane picked up the tennis racket, but before he could swing at Zbyszko, OX BAKER entered the ring and caught Lane! Baker levelled Lane with a massive clothesline which carried both men over the top rope. Zbyszko grabbed the tennis racket and began to wail on Condrey's injured ribs. As he got his shots in, TED DIBIASE dashed to the ring, wearing a referee's shirt, and restrained Zbyszko. BIG JIM THE ENFORCER followed, and order was eventually restored. DiBiase ordered the match to be stopped, and Zbyszko was disqualified for the use of a foreign object. WINNER: DENNIS CONDREY(Zbyszko disqualified for use of a foreign object)As Big Jim ushered Zbyszko from ringside, DiBiase took the microphone.DiBiase: Heenan! Zbyszko! I guess it wasn't enough that you lost your ownership stake in the Heartland. Now you want to go and assault an injured opponent with a foreign object? Not on my watch! Zbyszko, you are SUSPENDED for the next two weeks! JR: Oh, my goodness! Fans, there's a new sherriff in town and his name is Ted DiBiase! Indeed, the owner is laying down the law and Zbyszko is not the least bit happy about it. It is great to see a commissioner who is not afraid to ruffle a few feathers. It looks like Cornette is going to be okay, but Condrey looks a little worse for the wear. Meanwhile, Eaton and Lane have remained in the ring, since they are scheduled to compete in our next match. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (BOBBY EATON & STAN LANE w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. THE HIGH ROLLERS (DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE & PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE)The continuing rivalry between the Rollers and the Midnights raged on tonight! Both teams were crisp, but the Rollers had the edge tonight. Rose blasted Eaton with the Bombs Away twice, and only quick thinking by Cornette and Lane saved Beautiful Bobby from suffering the pinfall. Eaton was gassed, and tagged out to Lane. Sweet Stan held off both men for a time, before Page dropped him with a Diamond Cutter and that was all she wrote. WINNERS: THE HIGH ROLLERS(Page pinned Lane after a Diamond Cutter)JR: Diamond Dallas Page was at the top of his game tonight, no question about that. He took advantage of that situation as it seemed the Midnights were still distracted. These teams have been around the block more than a few times, and I doubt we've seen the end of that rivalry. Before our next contest, we have an update from WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS regarding the disappearance of one Nikolai Volkoff. Let's go backstage and hear from the Wildman. Butch: Thank you, JR. Still no word on the whereabouts of Nikolai Volkoff. Back over to you, JR. JR: Wow. Thank you for that most insightful commentary, Wildman. And now, fans, as promised, we take you to TED DIBIASE for this special announcement about the future directions of Heartland Wrestling. The camera shot appears backstage, directed at a vacant podium. After a pause, the camera moves through the backstage area and through the VIP locker room. A pair of boots is seen lying on the floor, and the camera pans upward along the body of DiBiase lying unconscious on the locker room floor. Chaos develops quickly as Wildman Butch Michaels and Big Jim the Enforcer dash about in search of the attacker. The camera quickly returns to the announcers' table.JR: What a disaster! Fans, there appears to have been an incident backstage involving Mr. DiBiase. We will definitely need to explore this situation and find out who perpetrated this atrocity! While they are settling things backstage, let's head back to the ring for our next match. STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS vs. BOBO BRAZIL (w/ SLICK)Two of the monsters of the Heartland waged war in this contest, battling for over 20 minutes inside the ring and out. When Slick tried to get involved, Williams pounded him and threw him out of the ring! The intensity escalated at that point, and Bobo came after Doc with a vengeance. A big hammer punch took Williams down to the mat, where he fell victim to the Coco Butt and Bobo earned a hard-fought victory. WINNER: BOBO BRAZIL(Bobo pinned Williams after a Coco Butt)JR: Wow! Williams really lit a fire under Bobo went he went after the Reverend Slick. He paid the price for that decision, no question about it. Let's take another look backstage and see what is happening. The scene returns backstage, where the search continues for information on the assault on Ted DiBiase. DiBiase is seen sitting on the training table with an ice pack on the back of his head. Across the hall, NECRO BUTCHER is seen. COUSIN LUKE catches sight of Necro, and immediately pursues him.Luke: Hey! You there! Stop right now! I told you never to come back! Luke charges at Necro Butcher, but Necro cold-cocks him with a stiff right hand, dropping him to the floor. Necro reaches down and takes back the MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN mask, pulling it securely back over his face. Mortimer calmly departs from the arena as Luke is helped into the trainers' room. Still groggy, Luke sits up on the table next to DiBiase and places an ice pack on his swollen jaw.JR: Somehow, I think our situation has not improved backstage. Now, before we head to tonight's main event, we have a video clip of the confrontation which led to tonight's Main Event grudge match between TITO SANTANA and JUSTIN CREDIBLE.Footage is shown from the Nutter Center as Santana battles Drake Younger. As Tito wrapped Younger into the Figure-4 in the center of the ring, JUSTIN CREDIBLE dashed to the ring and attacked Santana with a Singapore Cane! Finally, cooler heads prevailed and both men were escorted away from ringside.JR: Santana has a score to settle with both these men, and you can bet his fiery Latino temper won't be calmed until he can exact his revenge. MAIN EVENT: NO DISQUALIFICATION GRUDGE MATCH TITO SANTANA vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLESantana came out fists and fury, and dominated the match with his superior athleticism. But Credible refused to tap out to the figure-4, and escaped out of the ring. Tito foolishly pursued him, only to be met by a swift smack with the Singapore Cane! Santana was shaken, but his adrenaline spurred him on and he viciously whipped Credible into the steel ring steps! Justin went down hard, and Tito rolled him back into the ring and pinned him with a sunset flip. After the pin, Tito wasn't satisfied. The fiery Mexican went outside the ring and grabbed the cane. Credible attempted to slide out of the ring, but Santana managed to whack him across the lower back, breaking the cane as Justin fled for safety.WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana pinned Credible after a Sunset Flip)JR: What a brawl! Tito Santana is your winner, but I don't think he's satisfied with the outcome of that match. Credible opened up a can of haul-ass and got out of Dodge before Tito could get his revenge. You had better believe that he will be on the war path, and both Younger and Credible should watch their backs. Fans, we thank you for joining us here tonight. My apologies for all the chaos and confusion throughout the night. Here's hoping that we'll get things sorted out before long. We'll be back on Friday night with an exciting episode of Fury. The Heartland Television Championship will be on the line as the formidable champion, TAKESHI MORISHIMA, defends the belt against HILLBILLY JIM. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #164 Sorg Opera House, Middletown, Ohio September 26, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring with a microphone and a clipboard. The Sorg Opera House is filled with fans, abuzz at the start of the show, but the mood of JR is somber. JR: Good evening, fans, and thank you for joining us here at Friday Night Fury. I am sad to report that Heartland Owner TED DIBIASE suffered a major concussion on Monday night, and he won't be joining us here this evening. In his place, the patriarch of the DiBiase clan, IRON MIKE DIBIASE, will be joining us later in the evening and I sure he will have a lot on his mind. We do have some great matches in store for this evening, including an exciting Main Event as TAKESHI MORISHIMA defends the Heartland Television Championship against HILLBILLY JIM. So, let's head to the ring for our opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)JUSTIN CREDIBLE vs. "LIGHTNING" MIKE QUACKENBUSHWith Credible still sore after his brutal confrontation with TITO SANTANA, he was easy prey for the technical prowess of Quackenbush. Quack came off the ropes and caught Justin with a running spear and a near fall, which led quickly to a clean finish. WINNER: MIKE QUACKENBUSH(Quackenbush pinned Credible after a Quackendriver III)JR: I think Monday's grudge match took its toll on Credible tonight. But Justin will need to be on the top of his game for the upcoming Heartland Havoc XX, where he is signed for a rematch against TAKESHI MORISHIMA for the Heartland Television Championship! Now, before we go to the next match, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS is backstage with another update on the whereabouts of the missing NIKOLAI VOLKOFF.Wildman: Thank you, JR. As you may remember, Nikolai Volkoff was last seen alone, in the ring, being abandoned by his partner THE IRON SHEIK and their manager NIKITA BREZNIKOV. Since then, we have no sign of where Nikolai has gone! Some observers suspect foul play, but this reporter has tracked every lead and found no evidence of Volkoff. As Wildman talks, COUSIN LUKE walks past. He stops, scratches his head, and approaches Wildman. Luke: You lookin' fer Nicky Lay? Wildman: Excuse me? Luke: Nicky Lay! That big Rushin' feller. Although I don' know why they call him Rushin'. I never seen him move too fast. Wildman: I am looking for Nikolai Volkoff. Have you seen him? Luke: Shore have. Wildman: Where is he? Luke: New York. Wildman: WHAT?!? What's he doing in New York? Luke: Scufflin'. See here, Wildman. I made you a video! My good buddy BRUTUS helped me. He's a wizard with machines, you know. Have a look-see! Luke smiles proudly as the video is played from a recent WWWF event. Lou Albano proudly proclaims the arrival of his new tag team. "Now let me finish like I stated before I'm the greatest mind in the history of pro wrestling bar none and I'm about to show you why. Let me introduce the newest members of Captain Lou Albano's army and future WWWF tag team champions - That's right baby you're looking at none other than Bepo and Geeto better known as The Mongols." Luke: That's him! Lou Albano shaved his head and called him Bepo! Wildman: What the- ?!? JR- Luke has solved the mystery of Nikolai Volkoff! After the video, THE IRON SHEIK and FRITZ VON GOERING storm onto the scene with NIKITA BREZNIKOV. Brenikov slaps Luke across the face.Breznikov: You IDIOT! You FOOL! How dare you reveal the manuevers of the Foreign Legion! Iron Sheik shoves Luke to the floor and jumps on him, screaming and shouting.Sheik: Cousin Luke- you are a punk! You are worse than Michael Jackson! I will break your back! I will humble you! Before the Sheik can do any further damage, BEPO AND GEETO MONGOL rush on to the scene! Bepo picks up Iron Sheik and shoves him against the wall. Geeto and von Goering begin to brawl furiously around the backstage area. Wildman: Security! Security! JR, we need help back here NOW! JR: We'll get right on that, Wildman! You take care of business in the back while we get another match going here in the ring. RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. DRAKE YOUNGERThe Crippler dominated this match from the opening bell, pounding on Younger with knee smashes and suplexes. A crippling piledriver earned Stevens a near fall. Younger slipped out of the ring, but Stevens followed and continued his onslaught. Younger was unable to match the intensity of Stevens, who rolled him back into the ring and finished him with a perfect cross-body block. WINNER: RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Younger with a cross-body block off the top turnbuckle)JR: A fine performance indeed for the Crippler. Fans, I have just been informed that things are under control in the back, and that the Mongols have accepted a challenge to meet Sheik and von Goering in the ring... TONIGHT! That should be a very intense battle. THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (KIP & BG JAMES) vs. TITO SANTANA & PEPPER GOMEZSantana and Gomez controlled much of the action in this bout, but a blind tag by the Outlaws caught Tito off guard, allowing BG to surprise him with the James Gang Pounce to catch a surprise pinfall! WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(BG pinned Santana after the James Gang Pounce)JR: The Outlaws continue to solidify their position at the top of the tag team division. Santana and Gomez gave it a good run, but came up short in the end. Now, fans, we are being joined by a special guest, "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE, to discuss the situation concerning Heartland owner TED DIBIASE. Iron Mike, welcome to the Heartland! Can you give us an update on Mr. DiBiase? DiBiase: Thank you, JR. Ted's coming along fine. He'll be all right. I'm here to find out WHO the coward is that backjumped him, and bring that man to justice! JR: Do you have any suspects? DiBiase: Too many to count! But BOBBY HEENAN and his men are at the top of the list. JR: I can understand that, sir. No question, Ted came in here and ruffled a lot of feathers. We'll look forward to seeing what you discover! Now let's head back to the ring for our Television Title match! HEARTLAND TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP TAKESHI MORISHIMA (c) vs. HILLBILLY JIMThe personable hillbilly came out swinging, keeping the champion at bay with a series of big right hands. But Morishima absorbed the punishment, then hoisted Jim up for a massive atomic drop and finished him with a Saito Suplex. WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Morishima pinned Jim with a Saito Suplex)MORISHIMA RETAINS THE TELEVISION TITLEAfter the match, Hillbilly Jim rose to his feet and congratulated Morishima. He called for his music, and began dancing the jig in the ring, inviting Morishima to join in. Takeshi was confused, and politely declined the offer. COUSIN LUKE and MORTIMER THE MORTICIAN came to the ring, and began to dance with Jim. Morishima watched in amusement, and after a few moments, he locked arms with Luke and joined in the fun! As the men left the ring, JR James called Luke over to the broadcast position.JR: Luke? What happened with NECRO BUTCHER Monday night? Did you get him arrested? Luke: Naw, Jimmy, he got away. JR: How did that happen? Luke: Morty chased him off. JR: Mortimer the Mortician? Luke: Yep. He told me all about it. After Necro punched me, Morty come along and Necro Butcher run off. JR: So, the Heartland is safe from Necro Butcher? Luke: As long as my buddy Morty is here to watch my back! JR: Thank heavens for small favors! Let's head back to the ring for our Main Event grauge match! MAIN EVENT: SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH THE FOREIGN LEGION (THE IRON SHEIK & FRITZ VON GOERING w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) vs. THE MONGOLSIn one of the most violent matches the Heartland has witnessed, the Mongols devastated the Sheik with double-team moves and Bepo whipped him with a steel chain. The Sheik was nearly out on his feet, but managed to load up his boot and drill Bepo. Sheik tagged in Fritz, but refused to leave the ring and Joe Kopasz was forced to put him out. With Kopasz occupied, the Mongols executed a vicious double-team on Von Goering and put him down for the three-count. WINNERS: THE MONGOLS(Bepo pinned Von Goering after a double-team Mongolian Drop)JR: What a brutal confrontation! I must say, Nikolai Volkoff is a changed man, now appearing in WWWF as this "Bepo Mongol". Leave it to the brilliance of Cousin Luke to solve that mystery! But the hatrad between Nikolai and his former partner IRON SHEIK is intense and I don't think we've seen the last of it. Fans, we thank you for joining us here at Friday Night Fury! We'll be back on Monday with another exciting card of action. Our main event will be the tag team debut of CURT AND LARRY HENNIG as they square off against THE KILLER BEES. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #165 Roberts Convention Centre, Wilmington, Ohio September 29, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, accompanied by COUSIN LUKE and "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE. JR: Good evening, fans of the Heartland, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! We are coming to you from Wilmington, Ohio, with an exciting night of wrestling action. We are most excited tonight to see the debut of the father-son tag team of LARRY AND CURT HENNIG as they do battle with THE KILLER BEES. But before we go to the ring, MIKE DIBIASE has asked for time to address the Heartland audience. Mr. DiBiase, please tell us what's on your mind? DiBiase: Thank you, JR. First of all, I am pleased to report that my son Ted is feeling much better. He'll probably be back in the ring in another week or two. But until then, I am determined to find out WHO committed this assault! JR: Any clues as to who might be responsible? Ted certainly made more than a few enemies here since his arrival. DiBiase: Nothing. It's a complete mystery. No one in the back has any good information yet, but I won't rest until this man is identified and brought to justice! JR: Well, best of luck to you, Mr. DiBiase. We're all pulling for you. Let's head to the ring for our opening match! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)UNCLE ELMER vs. THE DESTROYERElmer and Destroyer duked it out in a good ol' fashioned brawl. Elmer did some significant damage with a big leg drop and a two-handed choke lift, and also managed to get the better of the Destroyer when the action went to the floor. But Destroyer slid back into the ring and locked Elmer into a single-leg Boston Crab, sapping his strength and nearly forcing a tap-out. Elmer finally managed to claw his way to the ropes, but the damage had been done. Elmer slid out of the ring, hobbling and frustrated. When Destroyer followed, Elmer smashed him face-first onto the steel ring railing, and Joe Kopasz called for the disqualification. WINNER: THE DESTROYER(Elmer was disqualified for slamming Destroyer into the security railing.)After the decision, Elmer stomped around ringside, throwing his straw hat to the floor and stomping on it. He turned over a couple of ringside chairs, then grabbed the microphone.Elmer: I'm sick and durn tired of losin mah matches! I needs to find me a manager to help me win more matches! Y'all in the back- who wants to manage Uncle Elmer? Elmer looked to the backstage area expectantly, but no one came forward to accept his offer. Elmer threw down the microphone in disgust and stormed away from the ring. JR: Too bad for Uncle Elmer. He is a likable enough lug, but none of the Heartland managers seem to want to sign him up. Hopefully he'll reconsider his situation when he calms down a bit. Fans, it appears that WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS is backstage with some more information about the attack on Ted DiBiase! Wildman appears backstage alongside Iron Mike DiBiase.DiBiase: What's this? JR says you have more information about the attack on my son! Wildman: Yes, I do, Mr. DiBiase! We have found an eyewitness who saw the attacker leaving the building. DiBiase: Well, bring him out! Wildman: Yes, sir! The music "Hybrid Stigmata" by Dimmu Borgir plays and the lights darken. A frenetic figure dashes onto the scene, babbling and running in circles around Wildman and DiBiase. DiBiase: What on earth? Wildman: I never knew we had backstage music here... Delirious takes the microphone, babbling and gesturing wildly.Delirious: BAH BAH BAH BLAH BAH BAH BAH! Delirious holds one hand high over his head.Wildman: He was a tall guy? Delirious: BAH BAH BAH BAH BLAH BAH tall tall tall tall BAH BAH BLAH! Delirious holds both arms out in front of his body in a circle.DiBiase: He was a fat guy! Delirious: BAH BLAH BAH BAH fat fat fat fat BAH BLAH BAH BAH! Delirious rubs one hand vigorously on top of his head.Wildman: He was a bald guy? Delirious shakes his head excitedly as he continues to babble. He rubs the head of DiBiase and high-fives Wildman, then dashes through the curtain to the ring. DELIRIOUS vs. DON LEO JONATHANAn outstanding match-up! Delirious played "stick-and-move" with the giant Mormon, keeping him off-balance for much of the contest. Delirious punished Jonathan with leaping clotheslines and a scintillating Shadows Over Hell! But Jonathan survived two applications of the Chemical Imbalance #2, and fought his way back into the match. After a thunderous giant swing and a bruising Rolling Back Splash, Jonathan caught Delirious in the Mormon Swing and it was all over. After the match, Jonathan attempted a power slam on the fallen Delirious, but the masked man slipped out the back door and drilled Jonathan with a dropkick to the back! Don Leo crashed hard into the turnbuckle, and Delirious dashed across the ring and nailed him with a a Panic Attack! Jonathan crashed hard against the buckle and took a while to regain his feet. As Delirious dashed around the ring and celebrated with the fans, Jonathan got up holding his neck and made his way slowly back to the locker room.WINNER: DON LEO JONATHAN(Jonathan pinned Delirious after a Mormon Swing)JR: Wow! Delirious put on a tremendous match, but the size and the power of Jonathan were just too much for him. But not to be forsaken, Delirious is still babbling and roaming around at ringside. I think Mike DiBiase is hoping to have another conversation with the only eyewitness to the man who assaulted his son. DiBiase tries to catch up with Delirious, but the goofy masked man continues to babble incoherently and dash madly around ringside. Before DiBiase can get his attention, Delirious runs up the ring ramp and disappears back into the locker room area.DiBiase: Well... that was pretty worthless... I think another approach might be necessary. But trust me, fans, I WILL find out who is responsible for Ted's injuries! JR: Keep up the good work, Mr. DiBiase! We're all pulling for you. "DIEHARD" DUSTIN LEE vs. PEPPER GOMEZGomez made quick work of the "Diehard", resisting several blows to the midsection before putting Lee's lights out. WINNER: PEPPER GOMEZ(Gomez pinned Lee after a Wind-up Punch to the Stomach)JR: I'm starting to think these indie guys are getting in over their heads. It's time to see some veteran talent in that ring, no question about it. Let's take a look at the tag team combination of LARRY AND CURT HENNIG in their Heartland Debut! As the Hennigs make their way to ringside, Mike DiBiase stands up on the announcers' table with a microphone and starts shouting into the microphone.DiBiase: You low-life! You stinking coward! Whoever you are! I WILL find you and I WILL make you pay! BIG JIM THE ENFORCER dashes down to ringside and helps JR settle DiBiase down and return him to his seat at the table. DiBiase slams his fists on the table, scattering papers and knocking over JR's bottled water. As JR scurries to restore order at the table, Joe Kopasz calls for the bell and startes the tag team match.THE KILLER BEES (B. BRIAN BLAIR & "JUMPIN" JIM BRUNZELL) vs. CURT & LARRY HENNIGThe Bees were not impressed with the debut of the powerful Hennigs. Using crisp double-team manuvers, the Bees kept the Hennigs off-balance and put them away fairly efficiently. WINNERS: THE KILLER BEES(Blair forced Larry to submit to a Sleeper Hold)JR: An outstanding demonstration of tag team wrestling indeed. No question, the Heartland remains the center of the tag team universe in the NWA. Fans, we thank you for- Before JR can finish his farewell, DiBiase stands up and turns over the announcers' table! He grabs the microphone from JR and storms into the ring. He positions Joe Kopasz in the corner as he shouts over the sound system.DiBiase: Enough! If you're any kind of a man, get your sorry carcass in this ring NOW! The arena lights go down and a thunderous shadow marches ominously to the ring...MAIN EVENT: "IRON" MIKE DIBIASE vs. Before his opponent even made it to the ring, DiBiase was on him in a rage! The lights came up to reveal... KING KONG BUNDY!!!Bundy did his best to hold off DiBiase, but Iron Mike was driven by his animosity. DiBiase survived a running power slam and gouged his way out of a big bear hug. With Bundy staggered, DiBiase went to the top rope and delivered a flying knee drop to catch a surprise pinfall! WINNER: IRON MIKE DIBIASE(DiBiase pinned Bundy after a Flying Knee Drop)JR: King Kong Bundy! Bundy is here! But why?? After the pinfall, DiBiase went for a steel chair, but Bundy slipped out of the ring and escaped up the aisle. DiBiase was left in the ring, still in a rage, screaming and pointing up the aisle as Bundy disappeared behind the curtain.JR: What a strange turn of events! Iron Mike DiBiase has just captured a pinfall victory over King Kong Bundy, but it does not seem to have improved his mood. That confrontation seems to have raised more questions than it answered. We'll have to see what happens on Friday night when we return with our next episode of Fury. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #166 Merri-Mac Park, London, Ohio October 3, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring with the microphone. JR: Fans of the Heartland, good evening and welcome to Madison County, Ohio, for tonight's installment of Friday Night Fury! This is our final broadcast before our very special pay-per-view on Monday night, when we will bring you Heartland Havoc XX! Tonight we have some exciting contests in store, along with a VERY special guest. We are so glad to have with us tonight the man who resurrected Heartland wrestling, THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN, TED DIBIASE!DiBiase strides to the ring to the cheers of the crowd as the tune, "My Sacrifice" by Creed plays overhead. DiBiase gives JR a firm handshake as he takes the microphone.DiBiase: Thank you, JR! It is great to be back. But I am here tonight with an agenda. This Monday night, we learned that KING KONG BUNDY was responsible for assaulting me and leaving me laying. Bundy, it's time for you to pay the price! I have three questions for you, Bundy- and I won't rest until I get some answers! First, WHY are you here? Second, WHO are you working for? And finally, ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEATING OF A LIFETIME?!?The fans erupt as DiBiase calls out his assailant. DiBiase waits for a moment, looking expectantly at the ring ramp, which remains quiet.DiBiase: It's okay, Bundy. I would be afraid to show myself, too. But I WILL find you and I WILL get some answers! DiBiase returns the microphone to JR and heads backstage, walking with a purpose. JR: Wow! The intensity level of this show has gone from zero to one-hundred in no time! King Kong Bundy, wherever you are, you better have eyes in the back of your head, because Ted DiBiase is coming for you! Let's head to the ring now for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)SCOTTY VORTEKZ vs. BRUTUS BEEFCAKEIn a wild opening bout, Vortekz got behind early but rallied for a come-from-behind win over Brutus. WINNER: SCOTTY VORTEKZ(Vortekz pinned Beefcake after a Dragonfly)JR: A nice victory for Scotty Vortekz. It looked liked Brutus had him beaten, but no question that you can never rest on your accomplishments in this sport. I believe we have a backstage interview before our next match, so let's send it over to WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS for a conversation. Wildman: Thank you, JR. I am here tonight with MR. JIM CORNETTE. Sir, please tell the Heartland fans what you know about the arrival of King Kong Bundy. Cornette: He arrived. That's all I know. Wildman: Did you hire him to take out Ted DiBiase? Cornette: Listen, you blithering idiot. DiBiase got what he had coming to him. And if he keeps pressing his luck, Bundy will squash him like a grape. There are any number of people who would like to see that, and I will admit that I am one of them. So, before you ask any more questions, let me just say that Jim Cornette is a man who takes care of business on his own. Jim Cornette doesn't need some hired thug to do his dirty work. So take your little microphone and go ask your little questions someplace else. This interview is over- no question about that! Wildman: There you go, JR. Mr. Cornette has denied any involvement with the attack on Ted DiBiase. I'll keep searching for the truth. JR: Thanks, Wildman, and please keep us informed. Let's head back to the ring for the next contest. JOHNNY VALENTINE vs. TITO SANTANASantana wrestled brilliantly, overcoming the rugged grit of Johnny Valentine. Tito surprised Johnny with an attack outside the ring to set him up for the finish. WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana forced Valentine to submit to the Figure-4 leglock)JR: Fans, I would consider that to be quite an upset indeed. Johnny Valentine takes a back seat to no one on the Heartland roster, and tonight Tito Santana got the best of him. Congratulations to Santana for an outstanding match. Let's head backstage once again as Wildman Butch Michaels has another interview lined up. Wildman: Thank you once again, JR. I am here with BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN. Mr. Heenan, please tell the Heartland fans what you know about the arrival of King Kong Bundy. Heenan: That is one big, mean, ugly dude, Wildman. You should stay away from him. Wildman: Did you hire him to take out Ted DiBiase? Heenan: Bundy took out Ted DiBiase? Where did they go? I hear Ruth's Chris Steak House is nice. Now mind you, that's not MY scene. Whatever Bundy and DiBiase want to do in their personal lives is no business of mine. It's no business of yours, either, Wildman. Don't you have a wife at home? Wildman: Mr. Heenan, I think you misunderstood. Somebody hired King Kong Bundy to beat up Ted DiBiase. Was that your doing? Heenan: Me? Of course not. I'm not bright enough to think up something like that all by myself. Maybe you should go ask Cousin Luke. He's the smartest man in the Heartland. Now leave me alone, Wildman, I have a match to manage! Heenan walks away, leaving Wildman flabbergasted.Wildman: I don't know what to think about that, JR. Back over to you. JR: Thanks, Wildman. You have a tough assignment back there tonight. Nobody wants to give you a straight answer. Let's head back to the ring for another match. TEAM CANADA (ANGELO MOSCA & THE MOUNTIE) vs. THE FOREIGN LEGION (IRON SHEIK & FRITZ VON GOERING w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)This brawl pitted two frustrated teams in the center of controversy. Nikita Breznikov repeatedly annoyed and distracted referee Joe Kopasz. The Canadians controlled much of the action, but the harrassment from Breznikov kept Kopasz from counting several pinfalls. In frustration, Mountie retrieved the shock stick and lit up the Sheik. Kopasz did not see the infraction, and permitted the match to continue. Von Goering tagged in and took the measure of Mosca, but when Mosca rallied, Breznikov again interfered with Kopasz' ability to count a pinfall. This brought BEPO MONGOL to ringside! Bepo smashed Breznikov against the ring post, stunning him. Then Bepo hoisted the manager onto his shoulder and carried him away from the ring! Joe Kopasz was again distracted by the situation outside of the ring, allowing Mountie to administer another vicious shock to Sheik. This time, Kopasz was able to focus on the pinfall and issue a three-count to end the match. WINNERS: TEAM CANADA(Mountie pinned Iron Sheik after the Shock Stick)JR: What a chaotic situation indeed! This Bepo Mongol character has hit the scene and has kidnapped Nikita Breznikov! The transformation of Nikolai Volkoff has taken an ugly turn and Breznikov has been the victim. Not that Iron Sheik fared any better. He took the brunt of that Shock Stick - TWICE- and suffered the pinfall. As JR recaps the match, Sheik struggles to his feet with help from Von Goering. Suddenly, a blood-curdling scream is heard from the balcony! A spotlight circles the arena in search of the commotion as a hush comes over the crowd. The spotlight focuses on Nikita Breznikov, who is seen hanging upside down from the rafters by his ankles, which are tied together with a chain. Bepo Mongol stands over Brenikov and his booming voice echoes through the stunned audience.Bepo: Sheik... you abandoned me... for this coward! Sheik... you will pay for your mistreatment of Nikolai Volkoff... because Bepo Mongol has come to destroy you! Sheik... if you ever want to see this man again... you will face me in the cage... Heartland Havoc XX! Sheik angrily begins screaming and pointing as Bepo Mongol hoists Breznikov back over the rafters. Bepo lands a massive fist to the side of Brenikov's head, and the manager's screams fall silent. Bepo stomps viciously on Breznikov. Before Heartland Security can reach the rafters, Bepo throws the chain over his shoulder and drags Breznikov, feet-first, away from the scene and disappears into the darkness.JR: What a disturbing scene indeed. Fans, I am shocked by what we have just witnessed. It would appear that Iron Sheik and this Mongrol are headed for a confrontation at Heartland Havoc XX. Until then, I can only hope that Nikita Breznikov will survive his ordeal. Let's head back to the ring for our next match. OX BAKER (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANThe big Hacksaw was unfazed by the chaos throughout the arena, and launched himself into Baker with reckless abandon. Before the big Ox knew what hit him, Duggan dropped him with a Flying Spear and it was one, two, three! WINNER: HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN(Duggan pinned Baker after a flying spear)JR: Hacksaw took advantage of a situation to win that match. No question, Ox Baker just joined a very short list of men who have been outsmarted by ol' Hacksaw. We have one more match on tonight's card. This special challenge match is the latest in the series of ongoing feud matches between the team of PEPPER GOMEZ and TITO SANTANA, who have locked horns with JUSTIN CREDIBLE and his protege, DRAKE YOUNGER.SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCHPEPPER GOMEZ vs. DRAKE YOUNGERGomez controlled the pace of the match, keeping the action inside the ring and tying Younger up in knots. Pepper seemed to have things well in hand until Drake suddenly reversed an airplane spin and drilled him with an Exploder! Younger capitalized wuickly, dropping Gomez with the Drake's Landing vertebreaker to score a clean pinfall! WINNER: DRAKE YOUNGER(Younger pinned Gomez after Drake's Landing)JR: Another surprise ending to tonight's main event! Indeed, few if any observers gave Younger much of a chance to defeat Gomez in that match. Fans, before we close the show, Ted DiBiase has asked for the opportunity to address the audience. DiBiase enters the ring, accompanied by three masked men.DiBiase: King Kong Bundy! Whoever it is that you are hiding behind, enough is enough! Come out here and face me like a man! Bundy storms to the ring and gets inches away from DiBiase.Bundy: You're darn right, DiBiase- enough is enough! I should have finished you when I had the chance! DiBiase: Who are you working for? Bundy: Someone who's tired of being jerked around. DiBiase: Oh, cry me a river. You tell your boss to meet me face to face! Bundy: Not on your life. The Boss calls the shots! DiBiase: Fine, Bundy- if you won't give me a name, I'll beat it out of you! Quickly, Bundy's men step in front of him and intercept DiBiase.Bundy: You want a piece of me? DiBiase: You got that right! You and me, in the ring, at Heartland Havoc XX. And when I win that match, you reveal who you're working for. Bundy: Oh, sure. I bring you ratings and you pocket the profits. I'm not stupid. But The Boss does have a proposition for you. If you win, The Boss will reveal himself. If I win- The Boss gets control of the Heartland! DiBiase: So THAT'S what this is about- The Boss is doing nothing more than making a power grab. Bundy: Have it your way, DiBiase. You don't like the stipulations, don't take the match. I'll just take up residence here in the Heartland and I will give you a beating every time I see you. DiBiase: I'm not afraid of you, Bundy. And I'm not scared of your boss, either. You have your match! Bundy: The Boss will be happy to hear that! Bundy drops his microphone and leads his men out of the ring.JR: Oh, my goodness! Goodness gracious! Ted DiBiase has been goaded into a match- with the ownership of the Heartland at stake! No question, that match will be the most important confrontation in Heartland history! Havoc XX is shaping up to be a dynamite card, fans- you won't want to miss it! Two huge grudge matches and all three Heartland titles at stake. We'll be live in Dayton on Monday night. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Havoc XX: Resolution Ervin J. Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio October 6, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES standing in the ring, prepared to address the passionate Heartland crowd.JR: Good evening, Heartland fans, and welcome back to the building that started it all! We are proud to be here at the Nutter Center for the twentieth pay-per-view broadcast in Heartland history! And a historic night this will be, as the fate of Heartland Wrestling hangs in the balance. In our main event tonight, Heartland owner TED DIBIASE will square off against KING KONG BUNDY! We don't know who Bundy is working for, but his attack on DiBiase has sparked this challenge- and the stipulation that the winner of the match will receive the full ownership stake in Heartland Wrestling! Everyone in the company is sitting on pins and needles awaiting the outcome of that match. In addition, we have all three Heartland championships up for grabs tonight- and all three contests will be rematches from previous encounters! But first, fans, we will open the show with a very intense Steel Cage Grudge Match. Let's go to the ring and get the action started! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)STEEL CAGE MATCH THE IRON SHEIK vs. BEPO MONGOLBepo and Sheik laid the heavy lumber on each other without regard for safety. Sheik outmanuevered Bepo and tortured him with a variety of painful submission holds. Rather than use the cage, Sheik broke down Bepo with his mat wrestling and tormented him with repeated use of the Camel Clutch until the Mongol was no linger able to continue. As Bepo lay helpless on the mat, Sheik rose and spat on his former partner, leaving him alone in the ring as he exited the cage. Sheik celebrated with NIKITA BREZNIKOV and FRITZ VON GOERING as he moved to the announcers' table. Sheik: Nikolai Volkoff! HOCH-PTOOIE!! The Sheik-a no need-a no cage to take-a you apart and-a make-a you a-humble! I am finished with you, Nikolai Volkoff! Don't you ever come here again! HOCH-PTOOIE! WINNER: THE IRON SHEIK(Iron Sheik forced Bepo to submit to a Camel Clutch)JR: Not much else remains to be said after that victory. No question, Iron Sheik proved his point. HEARTLAND TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP: NO DISQUALIFICATION TAKESHI MORISHIMA (c) vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLEThe rematch between Credible and Morishima quickly deteriorated into an all-out war! The giant champion overpowered Credible at the outset, but Justin kicked out of a pair of Saito Suplexes and took the match to the floor. Credible whacked Morishima with the Singapore Cane, stunning him. But when Credible blasted Morishima a second time, the cane snapped in half across his back! Credible's jaw dropped and he scurried back to the ring with Morishima in pursuit. But before Takeshi could get his hands on Justin, DRAKE YOUNGER dashed out with a second cane! Credible grabbed the cane and got in two more stiff shots with the cane before Morishima plastered him with a powerful kick to the face! Younger tried to come to Credible's defense, but DELIRIOUS came to ringside and chased Younger to the back. As Credible staggered to his feet, Morishima launched himself into a Running Hip Attack, planting Credible on the canvas and scoring a clean pinfall! WINNER: TAKESHI MORISHIMA(Morishima pinned Credible after a Running Hip Attack)MORISHIMA RETAINS THE TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIPJR: What a war! Credible brought his "A" game tonight, but the champion overcame the odds and kept his title. Who will stop this monster? Will the other Heartland championships remain intact? Let's head back to the ring for the next championship match. HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS w/ WILD RED BERRY (c) vs. OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENANThe tag team rematch was all Ox Baker! The big Ox launched himself into Al Costello at the opening bell and pounded him viciously. Heffernan tried to intervene, but was cut off by Zbyszko as Baker dominated the action in the ring and put Costello down for a decisive victory! WINNERS: OX BAKER & LARRY ZBYSZKO(Baker pinned Costello with a Heart Punch)BAKER AND ZBYSZKO CAPTURE THE HEARTLAND TAG TEAM TITLES!As the new champions and their manager Bobby Heenan celebrated, Costello tried to struggle to his feet. But the effects of the Heart Punch resonated through the chest of the Aussie, and he collapsed back to the mat. Heffernan and Red Berry dashed in to give their assistance, and Heartland training staff followed. After a few moments, Costello was able to get back to his feet, but required the assistance of the trainers to return backstage.JR: Fans, this is a most alarming development. Ox Baker has taken down many a man with that Heart Punch, but when a victim collapses in the ring that way, it is truly a scary situation. Our thoughts and our prayers go out to Al Costello. Indeed, we wish him all the best and we know that he is in good hands with the expert Heartland training staff. But, the show must go on, and the Heartland Heavyweight Championship is on the line in our next contest! HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BRUISER BRODY (c) vs. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKABrody and Snuka tore up the Nutter Center, pounding away at each other in a highly entertaining title bout! Snuka took the advantage at the outset, pummeling Brody with chops and kicks before flooring him with a flying headbutt! Snuka mounted the top turnbuckle and crashed onto Brody with a Superfly Leap! But the finisher was premature, and Brody kicked out. Seizing the momentum, Brody rallied, overpowering Snuka and slamming him to the canvas. Snuka rolled out of the ring, where the chaos escalated. Snuka chopped away at the chest of the massive champion, and Bruiser took his best shots and gave as good as he got. Sensing the tide turning, Snuka grabbed Brody by the arm and whipped him into the steel security railing. Joe Kopasz attempted to corral the action back to the ring, but Snuka shoved him aside and continued his assault. Kopasz tumbled to the floor, and when he got up, called for the bell to put an end to the fracas. The crowd was stunned and booed Kopasz heavily. Snuka was beside himself, and even Brody appeared disappointed at the premature end to the brawl. But the decision stood, and Brody consoled Snuka was an embrace as the champion and challenger returned to the back stage area together.WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody wins via disqualification when Snuka refuses to return to the ring during a brawl)BRODY REMAINS HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION!JR: A stunning and disappointing end to the championship match! It certainly appeared that both Snuka and Brody would have preferred to continue the brawl, but with the integrity of the Heartland Heavyweight Championship on the line, it is my opinion that Joe Kopasz made the right call. No question, the title belt is priority one in this federation and Joe Kopasz is a capable guardian of that illustrious tradition. But- what lies in store next for the Heartland? Fans, the time has come for the main event that we have ALL been waiting for as the ownership of the Heartland hangs in the balance. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION TED DIBIASE vs. KING KONG BUNDYBundy strode to the ring first, accompanied by three masked men. He appeared confident and scoffed at the jeers of the fans. As he awaited in the ring, Bundy was startled by DiBiase's entrance! DiBiase came to the ring without his Million Dollar jacket and without his trademark music. Instead, DiBiase wore only black boots, black trunks, and his trademark black glove as he stormed the ring, accompanied by MIKE DIBIASE, "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS, and HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN. DiBiase launched himself through the ropes and hurled himself at Bundy to start the action! Bundy withstood the early assault and overpowered DiBiase, laying in punches and chops and pounding his foe into the mat. DiBiase was down and gasping when Bundy went to the air and nailed him with a massive Avalanche! Miraculously, DiBiase got his left shoulder up at the count of two and the match continued. Bundy was clearly frustrated, and DiBiase mounted a comeback. DiBiase exploded off the ropes with a flying forearm to stagger Bundy! Working quickly, DiBiase caught Bundy by the shoulders and spun him to the canvas with a thundering spinning neckbreaker. Bundy crashed to the canvas, and DiBiase immediately wrapped him up in a figure-4 leglock! Bundy screamed and struggled, but DiBiase kept on the pressure and Bundy was finally forced to tap out! WINNER: TED DIBIASE(DiBiase forced Bundy to submit to a Figure-4 Leglock)After the submission, chaos erupted! The three masked men at ringside dashed away from ringside in an attempt to escape, but DiBiase's allies pursued them closely. A six-way brawl ensued, spilling throughout the floor of the Nutter Center. Just as it appeared that the masked men would make their escape, Hacksaw Duggan floored one of the men with a mighty haymaker! Duggan quickly jumped on the man and ripped off his mask to reveal "SWEET" STAN LANE! Duggan dragged Lane back into the ring and planted him on the canvas with a piledriver. As Lane lay stunned, JIM CORNETTE appeared at the top of the ring ramp alongside the other two masked men, who revealed themselves to be "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON and "LOVERBOY" DENNIS CONDREY. Duggan took the microphone as Lane lay stunned at his feet.Duggan: Zoinks! It's Sweet Stan Lane and his owner, Mr. Cornette!?! Ted DiBiase got to his feet and took the microphone.DiBiase: Cornette! I should have known this was your handiwork. And I should have known better than to entrust the tradition of Heartland Wrestling to scum like you and BOBBY HEENAN. Effective immediately, my attorneys will draw up the paperwork to return the full ownership of NWA Heartland Wrestling, Inc. to DiBiase Enterprises! Cornette: And I would have gotten away with it, too, if it hadn't been for you meddling kids and that darn DELIRIOUS!JR: Oh, my goodness! Goodness gracious! Jim Cornette has been revealed as the man who tried to take over Heartland wrestling! Ladies and gentlemen, I am happy to report that the Heartland is back under the full control of Mr. Ted DiBiase! It is great to see the honor of this fine territory restored. I am personally going to dedicate Friday night's episode of Fury to recognize Mr. DiBiase for his accomplishment in the ring and in the business world. So, this brings to a close a most historic night of Heartland wrestling. We've seen new tag team champions crowned, along with two other spectacular title matches, capped off by this exciting conclusion. We'll be back on Friday night! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #167 Ervin J. Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio October 10, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, accompanied by "THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN", TED DIBIASE. The fans cheer wildly for DiBiase in the wake of his victory in the main event from Heartland Havoc XX.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to tonight's episode of Monday Night Adrenaline! Please allow me to introduce the owner of Heartland Wrestling, Inc. Let's hear it for Ted DiBiase! DiBiase: Thank you, JR. It's the great fans of the Heartland that make this territory the NWA's finest. And now that the power structure here has stabilized, the time has come for Heartland wrestling to return to glory! JR: But what about your wrestling career? DiBiase: Priority One! JR, my friend, I have the perfect solution. I am turning over the ownership of Heartland Wrestling, Inc. to the one man who has proven himself to be worthy of this fine territory. Fans of the Heartland, allow me to introduce your new owner and Commissioner, COUSIN LUKE!Cousin Luke strides to the ring proudly, dressed in a spiffy black business suit and wing tips. His white socks are visible beneath his pant legs, which climb several inches above each ankle. He is wearing bifocals and carrying the most recent issue of Investor's Business Daily. The fans cheer wildly as Luke enters the ring alongside JR. DiBiase greets him with a handshake, and turns to exit the ring.Luke: Whoa, whoa, whoa! Mr. DiBiase! You ain't leavin' until we thank you proper! Let's have a big round of applause for the man who saved Heartland Wrestling! The crowd responds with a standing ovation. DiBiase is clearly moved as he waves to the fans and makes his way out of the arena.JR: No question, Mr. DiBiase deserves the adulation of everyone who cares about this sport. But it's the beginning of a new era now, Luke! So tell us, what's in store for the future of the Heartland? Luke: Well, Jimmy, this is a big job. The first thing I need is a good hand to help me run things. Make matches and such. So, I am hiring an assistant to lend a hand. Please welcome the smartest man I know, BRUTUS BEEFCAKE! (Beefcake emerges from the back carrying his laptop. He is wearing a short-sleeve white shirt and tie, thick glasses, and a pocket protector.) Also, we need another good referee. Joe Kopasz is the bext in the business, but he can't do it alone. So I am gonna bring back a fine referee who was fired without cause. Put your hands together for NICK PATRICK! (Nick Patrick emerges from the dressing room briefly, acknowledges the Commissioner, and disappears backstage.)JR: Very good work, Luke! You are assembling an eminently qualified team indeed. Luke: Well thank you, JJ! One more announcement before we start the show. The NWA Cruiserweight Champion is coming to the Heartland! We need a challenger for the belt, so we're gonna have us a tournament with the four top cruiserweights in the Heartland! Brutus, who did the computer pick for the tournament? Beefcake: MIKE QUACKENBUSH, TITO SANTANA, JUSTIN CREDIBLE, and THE MOUNTIE.Luke: Good job Brutus! We'll start the tournament tonight! Now that's enough talking, let's have some matches! JR: Right you are, Mr. Commissioner! Our first contest will feature a surprise, brought to us by Heartland Manager SLICK! Slick has signed a new wrestler into his fold and promises a big debut here tonight. (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)The music, "Hybrid Stigmata" by Dimmu Borgir fills the arena and Delirious races excitedly to the ring. He hits the ring to the cheers of the fans, and begins dancing in a fashion similar to Slick.JR: It's DELIRIOUS! Fans, it appears that Delirious will be the new man in the entourage of Slick. The music, "Jive Soul Bro" plays overhead as SLICK appears at the top of the ring ramp, followed by MASKED SUPERSTAR. Superstar flexes for the crowd as Slick prances and points at Superstar. Delirious appears stunned as he watches Slick and Superstar head to the ring.DELIRIOUS vs. MASKED SUPERSTARDelirious was clearly distraught over the rejection from Slick. The newcomer Superstar took advantage, gaining control from the opening bell. Superstar seemed to delight in Delirious' misery, as he tortured his foe with repeated Spinning Neckbreakers. But Superstar pulled Delirious off the canvas several times to continue the abuse. After several finishers, Slick managed to convince his man to finish off Delirious for a decisive victory. WINNER: MASKED SUPERSTAR(Superstar pinned Delirious after a Head Butt)JR: That appears to be an unfortunate misunderstanding. Poor Delirious must have thought he was the new man on Slick's team! Superstar was more than happy to take advantage of thie situation and come away successful in his debut match. TITO SANTANA & PEPPER GOMEZ vs. THE KILLER BEESBoth teams executed crisply and traded the advantage throughout this highly competitive bout. The Bees looked to be taking charge when Blair leveled Gomez with a suicide dive and Brunzell followed with a Killer Dropkick. But Santana came into the ring to interrupt the pinfall and save the match! In the chaos that followed, Gomez surprised Brunzell with a Mexican Cradle and a quick pinfall! WINNERS: TITO SANTANA & PEPPER GOMEZ(Gomez pinned Brunzell with a Mexican Cradle)JR: A fine match for both teams, and a hard-earned victory for Santana and Gomez. Without warning, JR is interrupted by the arrival of JIM CORNETTE, KING KONG BUNDY, STAN LANE, and BOBBY EATON. The fans boo lustily as Cornette climbs into the ring.Cornette: That's fine, people. Boo all you want! You dunderheads have no sense of perspective. You wanna boo me? I tried to do you a favor. There could be only one thing worse than leaving Heartland Wrestling in the hands of that carpetbagger Ted DiBiase. What could be worse? Putting that rat-infested hayseed Cousin Luke in charge! I tried to bring Bundy here to save you fans from the mediocrity that lies ahead, but who knew that HACKSAW DUGGAN would screw things up? That's right, Duggan, from this point forward I plan to make your life a living hell! Tonight is that night that you pay the price for your misdeeds! Bundy is going to take you out behind the woodshed and teach you a good lesson! Lane: Boss- let me! I want the match with Duggan tonight. I'm the one who was attacked and embarassed at Havoc XX. Cornette: All right, Sweet Stan, you got it. Duggan, if you have the guts, you be in that ring tonight and Sweet Stan will tear you limb from limb! Duggan appears at the top of the ramp with his 2X4 and gives a loud "HEY-OH!!!!!!" He points the 2X4 at Lane in the fashion of a rifle. He gives the fans a thumbs-up and disappears behind the curtain.JR: Well, Mr, Cornette, I think you have your answer. Now let's head back to the ring for another exciting debut! ANTONIO INOKI vs. MORTIMER THE MORTICIANThe newcomer Inoki took some punishment from the rugged brawler Mortimer, but the technical skills of Inoki were the deciding factor as the Japanese star enjoyed a successful debut. WINNER: ANTONIO INOKI(Inoki forced Mortimer to tap out to an Octopus Hold)JR: Very impressive performance indeed by Inoki. This man is an international superstar and he will be a force to be reckened with in the Heartland, no question about that. Now, let's see the Qualifying Matches for the Cruiserweight Title! NWA CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING MATCH MIKE QUACKENBUSH vs. JUSTIN CREDIBLEIt was the skill of Quackenbush against the intensity of Credible in this intriguing matchup. Quack controlled much of the action, but Justin brawled his way back in to the match on multiple occasions. When Credible finally appeared to have a decisive advantage, Quackenbush adeptly caught him coming off the ropes with a small package and trapped him for a surprise pinfall! WINNER: MIKE QUACKENBUSH(Quackenbush pinned Credible with a small package)JR: Fans, there is not a finer in-ring technician in the sport than Mike Quackenbush. Even against a rugged brawler like Credible, the mat skills of Quackenbush reigned supreme on this night. Our second cruiserweight qualifier promises to be a much different contest, as these two men have a long and contentious history between them. NWA CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING MATCH TITO SANTANA vs. THE MOUNTIESantana may have been gassed after the earlier tag team match, as Mountie caught him off guard in the opening moments and trapped him in a painful Boston Crab. Tito struggled valiantly, but could not escape the hold and was forced to give it up. WINNER: THE MOUNTIE(Mountie forced Santana to submit to the Boston Crab)JR: What a disappointing match. The past battles from these two have been very intense, but Santana just didn't have it tonight. It will be Mountie versus Quackenbush for the Cruiserweight Title Match. Now, let's see the Main Event confrontation between Stan Lane and Hacksaw Duggan! SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION "SWEET" STAN LANE (w/JIM CORNETTE) vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANDuggan marched fearlessly into the hornets' nest and began laying the heavy lumber on Lane. But before the match had barely begun, "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON slipped into the ring and nailed Hacksaw with a low blow! Duggan crumpled to the mat and Lane covered him for a quick three-count! WINNER: "SWEET" STAN LANE(Lane pinned Duggan after outside interference)After the pinfall, Lane and Eaton continued to put the boots to Duggan. But Hacksaw escaped from the ring and retrieved his 2X4, swinging wildly at both Midnights and chasing them away from the ring. As the Midnights and Cornette escaped up the ring ramp, Cornette took the microphone and screamed back at Duggan in the ring.Cornette: Duggan! You goofy cross-eyed moron! Don't think for a minute that you have gotten the best of James E. Cornette! Me and my Midnights are going to put you into the ground. So I'll tell you what, Scruffy. Why don't you find yourself a partner and meet the Midnights in a tag match? Duggan pointed his 2X4 at Cornette and bellowed another loud "HEY-OH!!!" as the Midnights left the ring area.JR: Well- the war between Cornette and Hacksaw Duggan appears to only have just begun. Who will Hacksaw choose as his partner? That remains to be seen. As always, fans, it has been our privilege to present this broadcast for your viewing enjoyment. We'll be back on Monday night with our next episode of Adrenaline, live from Bowling Green, Ohio! Our main event will be the #1 contenders' match for the NWA Cruiserweight Title pitting MIKE QUACKENBUSH against THE MOUNTIE. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #169 Toledo Sports Center, Toledo, Ohio October 17, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, microphone in hand.JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to tonight's episode of Friday Night Fury! Heartland Wrestling is proud to be coming to you live from Toledo, Ohio, with tonight's action. Our main event will be a special challenge match pitting Heartland Heavyweight Champion BRUISER BRODY against his friend and rival, JIMMY SNUKA, in a non-title match! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest. (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)BRAD ARMSTRONG vs. RAY STEVENS (w/ BOBBY HEENAN)Prior to the match, Bobby Heenan took the microphone.Heenan: Fans, I have been wanting to address you since the events that took place last week. Jim Cornette, I am downright ASHAMED that I ever did business with you! Your tactics with bringing in KING KONG BUNDY were reprehensible and corrupt- and worse yet, totally ineffective! Fans, I promise you, you will NEVER see Bobby the Brain involved in such a gesture of futility. So now, I am going back to what I do best. Managing champions, and taking down ham-and-eggers like this clown Armstrong over here! As Heenan issued the insult, Armstrong flew into a rage and lunged at him. Heenan was able to escape the ring, but Armstrong landed a sucker punch to Stevens. As Stevens fought back, Joe Kopasz called for the bell and ordered the match to begin!Stevens survived the initial onslaught and took control of the match. After the two men traded moves for several minutes, the Crippler leveled his man with a Jumping Knee Smash and set him up for a clean finish. WINNER: RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS(Stevens pinned Armstrong after a Bombs Away)JR: A decisive win for Stevens. And better yet, we can now once again count on the impeccable integrity of Bobby Heenan. The more things change, the more they stay the same, no question about it. Now, let's take a look at another international superstar making his Heartland debut! IRON SHEIK (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) vs. GIANT BABABaba took the measure of Sheik in dominant fashion, putting him down early with a Neckbreaker Drop. Breznikov managed to distract Joe Kopasz and prevent the pinfall. But Baba repeated the move, and this time Brenikov forced his way into the ring and physically intervened. Baba clotheslined the helpless manager out of the ring, then turned his attention back to Sheik and finished him off. WINNER: GIANT BABA(Baba pinned Sheik after a Piledriver)After the match, an angry FRITZ VON GOERING stormed the ring in defense of his manager. Von Goering attacked Baba and Sheik jumped in quickly. But Baba was on fire, and cleared the ring of both men! Breznikov quickly gathered his troops and beat a hasty retreat from the ring area as the fans cheered the triumphant hero!JR: Wow! This Baba is a superior specimen indeed. The entire Foreign Legion was unable to back him down! He dominated the Iron Sheik and Von Goering both! BLOODLUST (JUSTIN CREDIBLE & DRAKE YOUNGER) vs. THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE)Credible and Eaton dueled in a closely matched contest with each man executing some impressive manuvers. But before either man tagged out, Eaton caught Credible in a spinning neckbreaker and pinned him with a pull of the tights! WINNERS: THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS(Eaton pinned Credible after a spinning neckbreaker)After the decision, "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN stormed to the ring, pointing at Eaton and hollering at Joe Kopasz. Before Duggan could get his point across, KING KONG BUNDY emerged from backstage and clobbered Duggan with a massive forearm across the back! Stan Lane quickly joined in the attack, and the two men put the boots to Duggan. Before the damage was done, "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS dashed in from backstage and intercepted Bundy! A four-way brawl developed until BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his charges came out to settle the issue and escort Duggan and Williams out of the ring area. JR: How about that? Duggan has a powerful ally watching his back now. Perhaps he's found his partner to accept the challenge from the Midnight Express at next week's episode of Aggression! But for this night, the Midnights come away victorious. However, no question about it, we have not heard the last of this newly formed duo of Younger and Credible. Our next match will be another qualifying match for the Heartland Heavyweight Championship, pitting two of the hottest wrestlers in the entire territory! NWA HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: QUALIFYING MATCH TITO SANTANA vs. MIKE QUACKENBUSHIt was Tito's night in this qualifier, as the athletic Mexican used his superior strength to control the match. Quackenbush survived a number of near falls, but was unable to mount any significant offense before Tito finally finished him with a Sunset Flip. WINNER: TITO SANTANA(Santana pinned Quackenbush with a Sunset Flip)JR: What a fine demonstration by Tito Santana! He is on a hot streak in the Heartland, no question about it. But before he steps into the title picture, he will have his hands full indeed as BOBO BRAZIL stands in his path. And now, fans, our main event of the evening is a rematch from Heartland Havoc XX. Before we go to the ring, WILDMAN BUTCH MICHAELS has a video recap of the Heartland Heavyweight Title match from Havoc. Footage is displayed from Heartland Havoc XX. Brody and Snuka tore up the Nutter Center, pounding away at each other in a highly entertaining title bout! But the decision stood, and Brody consoled Snuka was an embrace as the champion and challenger returned to the back stage area together.JR: In the aftermath of that match, it was actually Brody who offered Snuka a rematch. This will be a no-disqualification, non-title match, but if Snuka comes out victorious, Brody has agreed to grant him a title match! Let's head back to the ring for what promises to be an outstanding main event indeed. MAIN EVENT: NON-TITLE CHALLENGE MATCH- NO DISQUALIFICATION HEARTLAND HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION BRUISER BRODY vs. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKAThe rematch between these two icons did not disappoint! After several minutes of back-and-forth action, Snuka took control with a dynamic leap frog and chop. Snuka maintained the advantage and scored several near falls, finally dropping the champion with a thunderous powerslam. Superfly went to the top turnbuckle, but the match turned when Brody rolled away from the Superfly Leap and Snuka crashed to the canvas! Brody immediately responded with a jumping knee drop, but Snuka kicked out of the pin attempt. True to form, Brody hurled Snuka out of the ring, then sent him careening shoulder-first into the steel ring steps. Snuka was stunned, and Brody was able to roll him back into the ring and pin him cleanly after a massive leg drop. WINNER: BRUISER BRODY(Brody pinned Snuka after a Running Leg Drop)JR: Once again, Brody proves that he is the most formidable man in the Heartland! Snuka gave Bruiser all he wanted, but Brody still came out on top in a tremendous main event indeed! Fans, we thank you so much for joining us tonight for this edition of Fury. We'll be back on Monday night with another exciting night of action! And yes, it has just been confirmed- our main event will be a tag team grudge match as STAN LANE and BOBBY EATON will square off against HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN and "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS! What a showdown that will be! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #170 U.S. Bank Arena, Cincinnati, Ohio October 20, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring, microphone in hand. JR: Good evening, fans, and welcome to Monday Night Adrenaline! We are pleased and privileged indeed to bring you another evening of Heartland Wrestling action. We have a great card for you this evening, highlighted by a very special main event. The issues between JIM CORNETTE and "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN continue to fester, and tonight Duggan has accepted the challenge for a tag team match. "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS has stepped forward to partner with Hacksaw tonight as they will meet "SWEET" STAN LANE and "BEAUTIFUL" BOBBY EATON in a no-disqualification grudge match! That match alone should be worth the price of admission. But before we head to the ring, we have a special announcement from Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE.Cousin Luke appears on the CincyTron, seated behind a large mahogany desk in a spacious office. He is dressed in a black business suit as he leans back in his chair with his feet on the desk, his bare ankles visible under his black wing tips. He is reading Forbes magazine when he suddenly becomes aware that the cameras are rolling. Luke nearly topples out of his chair as he sits up and addresses the camera.Luke: Howdy! Fans, I just wanted to come around tonight to congratulate MIKE QUACKENBUSH for winning the Heartland Cruiserweight tournament. But dontcha know, I just learnt that the NWA ain't got no Cruiserweight title no more! So this is what I'm gonna do. (Luke reaches down and pushes a button on his desk phone.) Bertha, honey, bring me in that new trophy. Shortly, a hefty lady in a business suit waddles into the office, lugging a large silver trophy cup. Bertha hoists the cup onto the desk with a gasp. She smiles at Luke, proudly flashing both of her teeth for the camera. She stops to wipe the sweat from her brow with the back of her hand and makes a few adjustments of her undergarments before she turns and lumbers out of the office.Luke: OOO-EEE! Boy, that Bertha shore is a keeper! (Luke fans himself with his hand.) Anyway, fans, this here is the trophy fer Mike Quackenbush winnin' the cruiserweight championship. I couldn't think of a good name, so we'll call it after my favorite movie actor. This will be called the JOHN CANDY CRUISERWEIGHT CUP! We'll just call her the Candy Cup for short. The rules fer the Candy Cup is this: any cruiserweight, 230 pounds or less, in any NWA territory can come to Heartland any time they want to challenge fer the Cup! Just announce yer challenge to the NWA Board and come to the Heartland and let's get it on! JJ, y'all have a good show tonight. If you need me, I'll be out front courtin' the lovely Miss Bertha! Luke pulls a can of breath spray out of his breast pocket and takes a couple shots. He winks at the camera as the action returns to ringside.JR: Wow... words cannot express my feelings about that situation. But that was indeed an exciting announcement from the Commissioner! The Candy Cup is now the possession of one Mike Quackenbush, and Quack will be accepting challenges throughout the NWA. Luckily for him, I don't think Miss Bertha will be eligible to compete. Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! (Tonight's referee: Nick Patrick)KING KONG BUNDY (w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. BRUTUS "THE GEEK" BEEFCAKEExpectations for this match were low, but Brutus put on the performance of a lifetime and nearly came away with an upset. Bundy survived several near falls (with a little timely assistance from Jim Cornette), prompting Beefcake to make a fatal mistake. Brutus went to the top turnbuckle and dove on Bundy, who caught him and powered him to the mat with a thunderous body slam. An Avalanche and a five-count marked the end of the night for the Geek. WINNER: KING KONG BUNDY(Bundy pinned Beefcake via five-count after an Avalanche)JR: Brutus may be the smartest man in the Heartland, but he made a major miscalculation in that match indeed. JUSTIN CREDIBLE vs. JOHNNY VALENTINEIn another seeming mismatch, Valentine dominated Credible from the opening bell- to the moment the match spilled out of the ring. Credible took to the floor, and the volatile Valentine was happy to oblige. But when Justin introduced the Singapore Cane into the match, he caught Johnny off-guard and opened a nasty gash on his forehead. Credible smelled blood and took the fight to his foe, carrying the momentum to a surprise victory! WINNER: JUSTIN CREDIBLE(Credible pinned Valentine after a Singapore Cane shot)JR: Oh, my goodness! Fans, what a major upset we have seen here tonight in Cincinnati! Justin Credible- with a little help from his friend- has knocked off Johnny Valentine! That's gonna put a major wrinkle in the Heartland contender rankings, no question about it. JIMMY "SUPERFLY" SNUKA vs. CURT HENNIGTwo of the most dynamic performers in the Heartland hooked up for a very intense contest, but it was Mr. Perfect who came out on top. After sending Snuka head-first to the steel ring post, Hennig caught him in the Hennig Plex and pinned him cleanly in the center of the ring! WINNER: CURT HENNIG(Hennig pinned Snuka after a Hennig Plex)JR: Wow! Another top contender bites the dust here at Adrenaline! Hennig came to the Heartland full of confidence, and tonight he was able to back it up against a former champion! Next up, fans, we bring you a special challenge match which developed after a situation at Heartland Havoc XX. DRAKE YOUNGER attempted to interfere in the Heartland Television Title match, but was confronted by DELIRIOUS and chased away from the ring! Younger vowed revenge, and tonight he will have his opportunity to face off against Delirious in the squared circle. SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION DELIRIOUS vs. DRAKE YOUNGERYounger was clearly the aggressor throughout the match, coming after Delirious with a striking level of violence. Younger beat Delirious with a series of light tubes, bloodying his foe before finishing him off with the Drake's Landing Vertebreaker. Following the match, Younger continued his assault on Delirious with another light tube. Delirious made it to his feet and returned fire with a steel chair! The carnage escalated, despite the efforts of BIG JIM THE ENFORCER and his officials. Delirious hammered Younger across the back with the chair, sending him sprawling to the arena floor. But when Delirious charged at Drake, attempting a Panic Attack against the steel ring steps, Younger slid away and caught him with a drop toe hold onto the steps! Delirious went down in a heap and lay motionless, while Younger took several moments to get to his feet and stagger back to the locker room area. Delirious remained down, and paramedics were called to transport him back to the training room on a stretcher.JR: A shocking display of brutality. Fans, I am stunned by what we have just witnessed. Mutual destruction! Now that the dust is settled, we have a very important tag team match with a title shot at stake! NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: #1 CONTENDERS' MATCH THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS (B.G. & KIP JAMES) vs. THE HIGH ROLLERS (PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE & DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE)The well-tuned machine that is the New Age Outlaws once again outfoxed the competition and took home the victory. Page executed a brilliant move, evading a double-team and dropping Kip with a Diamond Cutter! But B.G. interrupted the pinfall, and the match continued. The Outlaws timed their manuver precisely, taking advantage of Rose while B.G. fended off Page and the Rollers were done for. WINNERS: THE NEW AGE OUTLAWS(Kip pinned Rose after a Standing Leg Drop)JR: The Outlaws outwit the competition once again! Kip and BG are headed for another title match, and the opportunity to become the Heartland's first-ever three-time tag team champions! Finally, fans, we take you to the long-awaited showdown between Jim Cornette's men and their nemesis, "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN!SPECIAL CHALLENGE MATCH: NO DISQUALIFICATION THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (STAN LANE & BOBBY EATON w/ JIM CORNETTE) vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN & "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMSThe main event was every bit the fiasco which the Cincinnati crowd expected. Duggan and Williams came out brawling, but the crafty Midnights used their devious tactics to keep their foes off-balance. The Midnights isolated Williams, and with help from Cornette, wore him down badly. But Williams survived the onslaught and ultimately made the hot tag to Duggan! Hacksaw pummeled both Lane and Eaton as the crowd roared with excitement! But the resurgence was short-lived, as Duggan walked into an Enzuigiri from Lane. Lane covered Duggan, and Nick Patrick made the three-count as Cornette held Hacksaw's legs to prevent his escape! After Patrick counted the pinfall, the Midnights exchanged high-fives and Cornette joined them in the ring for the post-match celebration. But before the music even began, the celebration was interrupted by the bellowing of COUSIN LUKE as he stormed to ringside with a microphone.Luke: Naw! Naw! Nuh huh! That ain't right! Y'all cheated! Now listen here, y'all! I ain't gonna sit by as yore Commissioner and let that stuff happen in my territory. Jimmy Cornette, if yore so interested in gettin' in on this match, then you can get in the ring and fight for yourself! This here's a 3-on-2 handicap match now. Nick Patrick, ring the bell! Cornette looks at Luke in disbelief as the bell rings. Before he can escape, Cornette is blasted by a running clothesline from Duggan! Williams clears the ring of the Midnights as Cornette staggers to his feet. Duggan clobbers Cornette with a Running Football Tackle and sent him sprawling to the canvas! The glasses went one direction, the tennis racket went the opposite direction, and Cornette went down for the three count. WINNERS: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN & STEVE "DR. DEATH" WILLIAMS(Duggan pinned Cornette after a Running Football Tackle)After the match, Duggan continued his attack on Jim Cornette! Duggan called to Williams, who reached under the ring and pulled out a can of yellow spray paint. Duggan ripped the coat and shirt off of Cornette, then shook the paint can as the crowd roared! But before Duggan could begin the paint job, KING KONG BUNDY stormed into the ring and clobbered Duggan across the back with a massive forearm. Duggan flopped to the mat, but immediately got up and launched himself at Bundy. An enormous brawl broke out between Bundy and Duggan, as both men refused to back down. Finally, men from both factions, assisted by Nick Patrick and the Commissioner himself, waded into the fracas and got the combatants separated.Luke: Now settle down- all y'all! Bundy, you git on outta here! I want Bundy and Hacksaw signed on for a match. Y'all will have yer time to git after each other- I promise! JR: What a conclusion to tonight's card! You had to know this was coming, fans. It will be HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN vs. KING KONG BUNDY in your main event, this Friday night at Fury! Fans, it has been quite an eventful night here in the Queen City, and we thank you ever so much for joining us. We'll be back on Friday. Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!

NWA Heartland Card #171 Value City Arena, Columbus, Ohio October 24, 2008 The show opens with JR JAMES in the ring to address the packed crowd.JR: Good evening, Heartland fans, and welcome to the home of the Buckeyes! We are here in Columbus tonight, on the eve of the showdown between your Buckeyes and #3 rated Penn State! The atmosphere in the Buckeye State is electric, but the order of business tonight is Heartland Wrestling. We have a huge Main Event grudge match signed for tonight pitting "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN against KING KONG BUNDY in a Last Man Standing match! But before we go to the ring, we have a special message from Heartland Commissioner COUSIN LUKE.The Buckeyetron lights up to reveal Cousin Luke at his desk. MISS BERTHA is waddling around the office in a black French maid's dress, humming happily as she dusts the furniture. She pauses momentarily to scratch her armpit with the feather duster before returning to work. Luke is gazing at Bertha until his suddenly realizes that he is on camera. He sits up quickly and clears his throat.Luke: Howdy! Thanks fer watchin' Heartland Wrestling! We got summin' new fer y'all, starting tonight! We're gonna have us a Six-Man Tag Team Tournament! We got eight teams set up to wrestle, with the winning team gettin' a $30,000 prize! Now, let's head to the ring for tonight's opening contest! JR: Hey! That's my line! (Tonight's referee: Joe Kopasz)HEARTLAND SIX-MAN TAG TOURNAMENT OX BAKER, LARRY ZBYSZKO & RAY "CRIPPLER" STEVENS (w/ BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN) vs. STAN LANE, BOBBY EATON, & DENNIS CONDREY (w/ JIM CORNETTE)The first match-up in the Six-Man Tag Tournament was a major confrontation! This contest marked Condrey's return to the ring after suffering broken ribs at the hands of Larry Zybszko. Condrey was desperate to get his hands on Zbyszko, but Ox Baker remained in the ring for most of the contest. The Midnights controlled much of the action with their superior teamwork, and Condrey managed to drop Baker to the mat with a stun gun. With lightning precision, Condrey hoisted Lane into the Rocket Launcher to put Baker down for a pin attempt! Heenan distracted referee Joe Kopasz, allowing Baker to get back to his feet. But Cornette took advantage of the distraction, blasting the woozy Ox with his tennis racket. Condrey made the cover just as Kopasz' attention returned to the ring, and he counted the pinfall! WINNERS: LANE, EATON & CONDREY(Condrey pinned Baker after outside interference from Jim Cornette)JR: What a wild match! Condrey didn't get his hands on Zbyszko, but he did gain a measure of revenge by capturing the pinfall. As Joe Kopasz prepares the ring for the next contest, GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINE grabs a microphone from ringside and barges into the ring.Valentine: You know what makes me sick? I'm tired of this idiot MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN running around here hiding behind that stinkin' mask. Everybody on the planet knows who you are! Mark my words, Mortimer- I will have your mask and I will expose you for the fraud that you are! MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN vs. GREG "THE HAMMER" VALENTINEIn response to the threat from Valentine, Mortimer took to the offensive from the opening bell! Morty launched himself at the Hammer and leveled him with a flying tackle, then quickly planted him with a Tiger Driver and captured a pinfall! WINNER: MORTIMER THE MASKED MORTICIAN(Mortimer pinned Valentine with a Tiger Driver)After the pinfall, Mortimer dashed out of the ring and up the rampway, disappearing behind the curtain before Valentine even made it back to his feet. Valentine kicked at the ropes in frustration as the crowd jeered him for the defeat.JR: So, the mysterious identity of Mortimer remains unknown and Greg Valentine remains a loser. Indeed, some things never change! "DR. DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS vs. "MR. PERFECT" CURT HENNIGA wild match-up between two intense competitors! Williams and Hennig locked horns in a highly competitive match-up. After a tight struggle, Williams began to overpower Hennig and establish control, until LARRY HENNIG and DON LEO JONATHAN showed up at ringside. Curt's allies tried their best to distract Joe Kopasz and take advantage of their superior numbers, but Kopasz would have none of it, and sent both men back to the dressing room! The departure of the intruders did nothing to ease the chaos. Hennig charged at Williams in the corner, but Kopasz wound up in the path of Hennig's clothesline which knocked him to the mat, senseless. With Kopasz down, both men threw out the rulebook and the match deteriorated to a brawl on the arena floor. Williams slammed Hennig face-first onto the ring steps, busting him open. Dr. Death then executed a vicious Oklahoma Stampede, but Kopasz was still out of it and could not deliver a count. Hennig regained his senses and dodged a standing dropkick from Williams, then picked him up for a Hennig Plex, but again there was no three count. Finally, Kopasz rallied and returned to action, just as Hennig came off the ropes and delivered a Rolling Neck Snap and made the cover. A groggy Kopasz managed to make the three count and Hennig came away victorious. WINNER: "MR. PERFECT" CURT HENNIG(Hennig pinned Williams after a Rolling Neck Snap)JR: Wow! What an amazing contest! Hennig was busted open after the brawl, but still managed to escape with the win. Even after Kopasz went down, and after the appearance of Larry Hennig and Don Leo Jonathan, this match made it to its conclusion. No question, that was a remarkable situation indeed. This six-man tournament has resulted in the battle lines being drawn throughout the Heartland! As the Heartland trainers come to the ring to assist the groggy Joe Kopasz, NICK PATRICK is summoned from the locker room to take over the officiating duties.NWA HEARTLAND TAG TEAM TITLE: QUALIFYING MATCH HILLBILLY JIM & UNCLE ELMER vs. PELIGROSO (PEPPER GOMEZ & TITO SANTANA)In a bizarre occurrence, the early moments of the match were interrupted when BOBBY "THE BRAIN" HEENAN came to ringside to observe the match! Heenan watched closely, appearing to be scouting Uncle Elmer as the opening bell rang. Hillbilly Jim was clearly distracted by the situation, enabling Santana to stun him with a dropkick. Gomez tagged in, and sent Jim tumbling out of the ring with a powerful punch to the stomach. Jim hit the floor, where he immediately began to have words with Heenan. Big Jim lost his focus, and continued to argue with Heenan as Patrick delivered a ten-count! WINNERS: PELIGROSO(Hillbilly Jim was counted out after a Stomach Punch from Gomez)After the countout, Heenan approached Elmer for a conversation.Heenan: Elmer? I understand you're looking for a manager! Well, my man, you need to look no further! How would you like to become a member of the Heenan Family? Elmer: The Heenan Family? Sir, I'd be right honored. I always been a family man. Jim: Elmer! Don't do it! Yer a good feller. You don't need to git yerself mixed up with this here weasel and his ol' polecats! Heenan: Don't listen to him. When is the last time any of you hillbillies won a match? You wanna be a winner, Elmer, come to work for me! Elmer: You know, Jim, he's right. I wanna be a winner! Mr. Brain, sir, count me in! Jim: I'm tellin' ya, Elmer, this feller is nuttin but trouble. Yer 'bout to make a big mistake. Come on back to the farm with me and set a spell. We'll talk this over. Jim tries to take Elmer by the arm, but Heenan steps between them. Heenan pokes Jim in the chest, and Jim draws back a fist as if to strike Heenan. This brings OX BAKER out of the dressing room! Baker grabs Jim and spins him around, and immediately both men launch into each other with fists flying! The brawl continues, and Heenan takes Elmer by the arm and points at Jim. Elmer pauses, then raises both hands overhead and delivers a powerful double ax-handle blow onto the back of Jim! Jim sprawls to the floor, and both Elmer and Baker begin putting the boots to him! Jim struggles in vain to get off the floor, but the pounding is too much. Baker continues to stomp away at Jim's ribs and midsection, but Heenan pulls Elmer away from the fracas and hands him a steel chair! Elmer pauses again, and Ox stops his beating, looking at Elmer. Finally Elmer swings the chair and sends in crashing down across the back of Hillbilly Jim! Elmer delivers three stiff chair shots to the back of Jim before he throws the chair to the floor. Ox pats Elmer on the back as Heenan leads the cheers. All three men depart from the ring area, leaving Jim moaning on the floor.JR: Fans, I am SHOCKED! I never would have expected such a good-natured fellow like Elmer to snap like that. And I certainly would never have expected Hillbilly Jim to be the victim of his aggressions. Jim looks to be in rough shape. It's been a busy night for the trainers, and now it looks like Jim will need their assistance to get back to the locker room. Worse yet, fans, that may not be the last we see of the trainers tonight! We still have a Last Man Standing match to happen. Let's head to the Main Event! MAIN EVENT GRUDGE MATCH: LAST MAN STANDING KING KONG BUNDY vs. "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGANThe war between Bundy and Duggan carried all over Columbus! Bundy took the early offensive in surprising fashion, taking to the air and smashing Duggan with a falling elbow drop. Duggan was stunned, and Bundy capitalized with a massive avalanche and Duggan was in bad shape. But Hacksaw battled back gamely, turning the momentum with a series of clotheslines and wearing out Bundy in the center of the ring. Action spilled out to the arena floor, where Bundy again took control. Kong used everything in sight, from the railings to the steel ring post, to punish Duggan and drop him to his knees. Duggan slumped to the floor, but managed to pull himself up at seven and the match continued. Duggan dodged a charging Bundy, sending him crashing into the ring steps. Duggan droped a powerful knee onto Bundy on the arena floor, leaving him laying as Patrick began the count. Bundy made it to his feet at eight, but Duggan was right on him. A battle of wills followed, with each man trying to smash the other's head onto the steel ring steps. It was Duggan who prevailed, smashing Bundy face-first onto the steps with a resounding THUD. Duggan climbed into the ring, raising his arms in triumph. But to the amazement of the crowd, Bundy again staggered to his feet and rolled back into the ring. Duggan was waiting for him, and launched himself into Bundy with a Flying Spear to finally put him down for the ten count! WINNER: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN(Final tokens: Bundy 10, Duggan 9)After the 10-count, both men required assistance to return to the dressing room. JR: A tremendouns confrontation indeed, ladies and gentlemen. This war between Duggan and the Cornette faction continues to escalate. Sadly, I don't think we've seen the last of the bloodshed in this situation. But it certainly makes for good theater, as tonight's main event so aptly demonstrated. Fans, we do thank you for joining us here this evening. We'll be back in action on Monday night with another special episode of Adrenaline! Monday night's show will feature TWO big title matches! Both the Heartland Television Title and the Tag Team Championships will be up for grabs, so be sure to tune in! Until then, fans, so long from the Buckeye State!
