Any predictions from anyone? I just noticed Chris lights out L. is now facing Joe Riggs, I'm picking chriss, I've been a fan of his sence his showing against Robie Lawler.
I'm picking the safe bet of Arlovski but I would love to see Paul win.
I'm willing to get this card just to see some new heavy weights.. and after all new talents is what the ufc needs most of all right now.

It was a top notch show tonight... the main event was a bit short (won't spiol who won but damn I wanted to see more than one punch).
I got my MMA fill and a half. It was ammusing to see the venom out of Nick diaz towards the ultimate fighter kids. He's going to punish that kid.
I saw alot of improvement out of Babalou.. I think he's a serious threat now. Oh they mentioned a under ground fight.. if anyone can tell me where to find a link for Gannons under ground fight I am slightly curious.. I'd write more but like i said I just caught my mma fix.

The match on UF was great and I finally got to see Luke in action. His defense is impressive, but he needs to improve it even more if he ends up fighting Joe in the semifinals (if they go by last year's method of teammates fighting each other in the smifinals).

Not bad for a guy Matt picked last. I wonder who he'll cut next week.

I think that Luke is really a hard worker, and Matt likes hard workers. He really hasn't said anything negative (I don't think) about Luke. Luke has the mentality to train and wrok hard- the tools Matt likes. Now we see if he has the talent.
I mean something has to be said that Luke was not picked by either side to fight beforehand.
However, Joe Stephenson, barring an injury, should win the middleweight division.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Matt hates luke or anything, i just think he'll cut him because Matt picked him last. Matt stirkes me as sturborn.. and if he has to let some one go.. it'll be the person he thinks the least of on his teem. I beleive sence Matt picked him last, because he thinks so highly of his own decisions.. he'll cut him.

Yeah that's true. Matt is going down with Joe Stevenson- a wrestler with a strong ground game- something Matt clearly understands.

I agree that Matt will pick Luke to go to Franklin's team, but for a different reason. It is clear that Joe Stevenson is Matt's chosen one to win the Welterweight division. Now that teammates are going to be fighting each other, I think Matt views Luke as a bigger threat (now that he has seen Luke fight) to Joe than Sam (who hasn't fought yet) in the semi-final round. So he'll send Luke to Franklin's team, and hope for a Joe vs. Luke final.

Wow, how ironic. Mike was talking to people about being so strong mentally (and I believe he boasted that he was better than everyone in that area), yet mentally was how he was crushed...by of all people..Rashaad!
I'm surprised that they're having the semifinals and yet some guys haven't even fought yet.
I wonder if Matt is going to punish his team for Mike's loss.

I'm surprised that they're having the semifinals and yet some guys haven't even fought yet. After last season, I'm not. Swick, Hoger and Florian all made the semi's without having to fight before. At least, Matt Hughes is consistent with his actions. Matt had all of the excuses, since they were teammates in Team Miletich, to stick up for Whitehead's poor performance. I wonder if the show was the reason why Whitehead left Team Miletich, but I think he had been gone before the show. Franklin's "This is forever" line to Rashad in the last 2 minutes of R3 was cool to hear. The recent FSN Beyond the Glory special on UFC and TUF Season 2 have really made me a bigger fan of Rich Franklin.

Ditto on the Franklin comment. It's always nice to see someone who's so full of themselves get humbled. God just imagine if Rashad gets traded to Hughs.

Yeah, I watched some that "Beyond the Glory".
It was pretty good. Watching his amateur fights was brutal. He was so much better than anyone he faced.

But that's what made it cool. Technically he still does kinda do that. I don't think we've even see Franklin's best yet.

Where is Duce? He has been absent from the board for a while. I was thinking the same thing. I started posting at Sherdog a while ago and i spotted somebody with a duce sn so who knows (I don't think so) It might been him. In all fairness the most recent gossip around Cotg has been around the ultimate fight show.. and I get the feeling that wasn't exactly his mma bag. Shame really, but thats my main piont about the mma normally, you pick and choose what you like. Variety is a sure way to expand your medium of your entertainment. I'm sure when the next Pride show with Shamrock and Sakuraba occurs he'll be back. By the way I'm picking Sakuraba. The last thing i want to hear is Ken bragging about himself if he wins. It seems like a poor Main event to build a ppv around (Yes I am curious I'll admit) but really that's not the two fighters you pick to head line the so called best mma show in the world. I can picture if Duce where here now if I said something about Sakuraba like him and Shamrock are to golden oldies I'd rather really seen shelved.. that they still have many fans and there's a profit still to be turned. I agree, but for God's sake it shouldn't be a major draw on that card. It's kinda funny to see Pride's having a weak card and no body makes a fuss about it.. but God forbid the UFC have a poor ppv.. and the sky is falling. Imagine if Dana white would bought Pride and this card would happened. I can usual get a vibe for what Duce's thoughts are going to be, ( least i think i do, but I still don't mind hearing them I mean besides that time Trigg lost to St. Peiree but I think we all knew he was going to gloat about that.. I’ll admit I probably would done the same thing do in his shoes) but what I obviously assume what people would miss most if he never came back is his actually statistical insight about the bouts, and title history and fighter current events. Again.. nothings really happened all that recent in mma.. so i just assumed he's taking some time off for that reason.

(correction above) I ment to say Duce would most likely reply with ".. that they still have many fans and there's a profit still to be turned."
I think thats part of the reason why Coleman is still around in Pride and they haven't encouraged him to retire. I heard Randlemen managed to score a win on the last card he was at. Its good to see things are picking up for hammer house, if only for a little while.
