I think Horn is amazing on the ground. Have yet to recently see anyone like him.

It's great to be back (it's Magog by the way) I finally made member, HELL YES! Heh that would really sucked to not be able to get into Filsinger as a perm right after I bet my Sherdog member ship on if Randy puts down Chuck or not in there next fight. I would been an eye poke away from not being able to post about mma if I couldn't get back in here (LOL). Back on topic David the crow would make for a good match up against Jeremy Horn,, yes or no? After his fight with Tanner I feel the sky is the limit for him.

Well, you know my opinion of Sherdog's boards.... Great news site but the message boards....... Well that's the trade off when anything gets to much attention (okay the mods don't seem to do anything over there either but what do I know). Speaking of the lastest news I heard VItor won his fight on one of the indepent shows. Any one catch it?

Th real sad thing about Sherdog is that the fighter no longer go there as much. If I were them, I would not either. Who wants to read threads about how much they suck, mostly backed up by baseless facts, stupid fanboyism and a slew of Internet Toughguys?
I did not catch the Vitor fight. I am glad he won.
I need to start branching out. It seems like there are a lot of great fighters not in the UFC.

Duce, thanks for the suggestion!
I also need to see that fight between Randleman and Fedor where he takes that drop in your sig. I must see how anyone could come back and win after a vicious drop like that!

I saw this title over at Sherdog and it just made me laugh my butt off Join the BTT Rebel Alliance, and let us defeat the Chuteboxe Empire once and for all. Come join the rebellion! War arona! (I'm feeling slightly juvenile so sew me). This gave me a chuckle so I just had to share it. diesirae.homestead.com/files/WandyLnP.jpg

Oh dumb question.. How come Pride has no problem saving the best fight of the night for last (i mean the main event any way) and the UFC seems like it does all it can do to get it out half way through the show? I mean it's a ppv... it's not like people are going to stop watching it even if it's bad... they payed for it.

Ha ha Seems to be true- perhaps Pride has overall stronger competitors in each weight class so it seems that way?

I think it is due to PRIDE having a tape delay in the US for their shows while UFC airs their shows live. PRIDE can edit out entrances for certain fights, cut out a bad fight in which no fighter has any appeal to the US audience and just show the fights.
With a UFC title fight in the main event, there are a lot of factors to take into consideration. First is the pre-fight package then entrances. That could take 5 to 10 minutes. Then there is the fight itself, and if it goes the distance then that is 25 minutes from a 3 hour show. With that goes a break in between rounds which last 5 minutes as a whole. There could also be a timeout to check on an injury like a cut which could take up to 5 minutes. Of course, there is the decision and post-fight interview(s) that can take up to 5 to 10 minutes as well. I am sure there are other factors that were not taken into consideration as well.
So calculation all of the time consuming factors as a whole, the entire length of a UFC Title fight could take up to 45 minutes up to a hour of a 3 hour PPV. Add in 4 other fights that could go the distance for 3 rounds, and you could sense why UFC has the feeling to rush things with their PPV's.

I wanted to Bring back this thread for tommorows show. Man.. I can't beleive it's here already. I'm really hyped on seeing the show and my main concern is nothing gets cut of the ppv (at least entirely).

Oh I saw a really fun thread at Sherdog today www.sherdog.net/forums/showthread.php?t=332566who to keep and who to release after the show! Yeah i know... that's not the kind of healthy work environment you should encourage in Dana White.. but hay it feels like UFC policy. I think they should encourage Eiler's to move on. I think his ability has peeked... and well.. it's peek isn't quite up there with the ufc. I hope Diaz gets kept around.. I kinda want to see this get knocked out before he leaves. Heh. You know... I want to see how Mir handles this defeat... was he rusty.. or outclassed? Both? (side note who else was ammused when Chuck thanked his sponcers?) I'm happy to see Paul's back on track.. i wouldn't mind seeing the other guy stick around.. maybe replace Eiler's. KInda bummed out to hear White head Crapped out agian. What did Matt see in this guy? I'm starting to wonder if they should keep around MIke Van A. He kinda got owned last night, and it kinda looks bad when you've been beaten by someone who thinks it's time to retire (I'm not kicking at Randy... I just always was worried Babalu might walk right through MIke... and hint that Randy really had his age finally got up with him.... I think that was the first bad sign for Randy of the night when MIke Van A. got tooled so easiy by a younger Babalu. I know MMA math sucks and all but it was still on my mind). I wonder who MIke Van should be kept around for if they do? Vera? Tito? Anyone else's thoughts?

I think Diaz needs to be fired after sucker punching Riggs at the hospital after the show. The UFC doesn't need the bad PR from a 24 year old kid acting like a nutcase after he loses.

I keep hearing about that? Are you sure that's not just a rumor? I'm not saying I don't beleive you.. It just sounds really out there.

It's been reported by credible sites and it's something Diaz would do considering he lost. It could be fake but I've seen nothing to make me think that yet.

. I was hoping for Randy to win, and sort of figured that he would retire after this one. It would have been nice to see a victory as the final matcth of his career.
The card seemed solid. I am glad Buentello won: heard him in an interview; very humble likeable guy who made no excuses for his loss against Arlovski. He said that he was not ready for a fight of this magnitude: I can respect taht.
Heavyweights seemed to get a boost. The win of Vera and the loss for Mir are interesting: Mir will certainly be back, and Vera has the showmanship Dana likes. Pe De Pano could be a force too.
Sobral winning was expected, but the UFC neds to get a few more credible 205 ers- after Sobral there is who?
IF Diaz did actually hit Riggs in the Hospital, Dana should set up a Loser Leaves Town Match as soon as possible!

After Sobral? I guess franklen could move up in weight. But that would hurt the middle weight division. Um I guess Chuck could fight.... um Tito? That's about it. Page if he leaves Pride (Rampage).

Tito may be interesting after his warm up withKenny, and I would love to see Rampage in there

You know It's starting to dawn on me.... I think Rampage will come over. Why else would Dana white continually allow Chuck and Rogan to keep bringing it up... unless he knew something we didn't? I think we may see that fight either late this year or earlier next.
