Well it was another good show tonight, I'm really suprised.. Luke seemed to give a better fight than last time. Not bad for a guy pick last ah?

Yeah, Luke's KO of Sam looked pretty brutal. I hope Luke takes it all but I think he is probably gonna get tapped out to Joe in the finals. With the Heavys I see a Keith-Seth final but definately am cheering for a Jason-Luke final, and a Rashad-Brad final.
I've definately jumped on the underdogs bandwagons this season.

My dad was in the ER so I missed the show. I'll probably catch it on Thursday, especially if Luke is fighting again.

After some lackluster weeks that climaxed with the first Rashad fight, this season has really started to pick up starting with Von Fluke vs. Jorge.
I know more prefer Von Fluke vs. Jorge, and that was a very good fight. However, my personal favorite fight this season is Luke vs. Sam. Just a lot of action with both men going for the win. I get the feeling more will be like that since there is a few weeks that separate the semis and finals, unlike the other fights where they held back because of the fact they had to fight again in a few days.
You have to feel for Sam especially since if he had another 30 seconds then he probably would have made Luke tap with that armbar. He really wanted to win this, and he'll be in the UFC one way or another. I have to give credit to Matt Hughes for being the first one there to pick up Sam when he was down.
Luke Cummo is the greatest personality in reality TV history. If you just heard him talk, then you think he has no charisma. However, his actions are so out there and has this cold serial killer vibe about him. His victory celebration is great with him just pigging out on junk food after eating all natural stuff. After this fight, there was plenty of junk food and fat prostitutes for him. I am hoping for full ninja gear at the Season Finale Live Special.
Don't forget that the final two episodes of this season will air this Monday and Tuesday. Monday will probably be Von Fluke (or that guy who lost to Stevenson the first time)/Stevenson, since there is a lot more build to that fight than any of the other heavyweight fight. Tuesday is the heavyweights. Saturday the 5th wil be TUF 2 finale.

Did anyone catch this mondays show? You know what would be really suprising. If Rashad went to Team militech. That would just be plain wierd.

I caught Monday's show. It told a really good story throughout the show. Tuesday showed why Stevenson is a step ahead of everyone else on the show by not letting his ego get in the way before taking Jason down and tapping him out with a slick armbar after getting hit. Brad/Seth was alright, but I wondered what happened to Seth as he was winning the stand up game early. However, he just got tired and pulled a lay & pay during R2.
My picks for the main matches of Season 2 Finale:
Nick Diaz defeats Diego Sanchez in R2 by pummeling. The only advantage Diego has is size, which could be enough to finish off some people, but I think Diaz is on another level in comparision to whom Diego has faced before.
Rashad Evens defeats Brad Imes by decision. If Seth could take down Brad, then Rashad should have no problems doing it on Saturday.
Joe Stevenson defeats Luke Cummo in R1 by twisting. However, I'll be rooting like mad for Luke to get the win.

I think we're all rooting for Luke. He's really been impressive. I kinda hoped Joe was over rated but after peaking at his record... I'm not so sure about that theory (Missed Tuesday.. I think it replays tomorrow at least i hope). Man I'm really looking forward to Saturdays show. I kinda want to see Diaz lose, just to see how bad everyone will flip out at Sherdog (I will to,) but I doubt it. I think Nick Diaz (from his interviews) has a little growing up to do, he lacks humility and respect. If he gets a match with Matt Hughes after this I'm sure he'll get a chance to learn it then.

I think Diaz is gonna win but I wouldn't mind seeing Diego win just for all the smack diaz has talked about him. Definately cheering for Luke and Rashad although I dont think either is gonna win. I definately think Rashad has the better chance, I love how this season's finals have 2 darkhorses that really proved themselves unlike Kenny from Season 1 who made it in by winning one fight on a cut.
Some of the other UF matchups are pretty interesting. Sammy Morgan vs. Josh Burkman, Keith Jardine vs Kerry Schall, and Marcus Davis vs Melvin Guillard. It'll be interesting to see schall in the octagon against Franklin's number 1 heavyweight pick.
Supposedly they learned their lesson from last year's finale and we'll actually see prelim fights from earlier in the night instead of clips from the season for filler time in between fights.

Wow! Great fights tonight!
I was pulling for Luke, but I figured Joe would win. Luke did MUCH better than I Thought he would.

Man it was long for 4 matches but they were all really good. The Main Event was my favorite match and I was rooting hard for Sanchez. I really don't like Diaz. What a punk for not giving Diego props after getting dominated.

Same here about Diaz. Hell I'm shocked, but I can give Diego props now. It's like Diaz turned into a Sherdog poster and went into denile about the fact he lost ;D or was wrong about something. I felt bad for Luke but I can admit he didn't win. I don't feel so bad, I'm sure he'll have a future in MMA.

I am not a big fan of Diego- I think he thinks is the Second Coming- but he was really good in his fight with Diaz.. It was good to see him fight a real opponent; all others have been fodder up until last night. BUt he was explosive, quick, and enegetic to the end of the fifteen minutes. Great moves and counters for both fighters. Luke defended very well on the ground against a much superior mat technician. Luke certainly did lose, but I was shocked at how well he exactly did. I also liked the respect the two showed each other during the match. Luke will certainly have a future- the UFC can market him as the skinny nerd who can kick your ass.

Great show - everyone went all out.
Florian had his most impressive match to date. If matches were decided on looks, he'd probably be 0-8.
Luke Cummo may have come out of the show as the biggest star, despite the loss to Stevenson. He has that Forrest Griffin "everyman" vibe.
Rashad Evans looked real tough for a smaller heavyweight. Imes has a lot of heart, as I thought he was done two or three times. Real exciting fight, but I doubt either has the overall skills to hang with guys like Arlovsky right now.
Main event was a great ground battle. Unbelievable conditioning for both guys. I'm not a big Sanchez fan, but he dominated Diaz. I thought Diaz' post match comments were fine. It's about time someone cut a promo to build for something instead of thanking their sponsors.

Where is Duce? He has been absent from the board for a while. I was thinking the same thing. I started posting at Sherdog a while ago and i spotted somebody with a duce sn so who knows (I don't think so) It might been him. In all fairness the most recent gossip around Cotg has been around the ultimate fight show.. and I get the feeling that wasn't exactly his mma bag. Shame really, but thats my main piont about the mma normally, you pick and choose what you like. Variety is a sure way to expand your medium of your entertainment. I'm sure when the next Pride show with Shamrock and Sakuraba occurs he'll be back. By the way I'm picking Sakuraba. The last thing i want to hear is Ken bragging about himself if he wins. It seems like a poor Main event to build a ppv around (Yes I am curious I'll admit) but really that's not the two fighters you pick to head line the so called best mma show in the world. I can picture if Duce where here now if I said something about Sakuraba like him and Shamrock are to golden oldies I'd rather really seen shelved.. that they still have many fans and there's a profit still to be turned. I agree, but for God's sake it shouldn't be a major draw on that card. It's kinda funny to see Pride's having a weak card and no body makes a fuss about it.. but God forbid the UFC have a poor ppv.. and the sky is falling. Imagine if Dana white would bought Pride and this card would happened. I can usual get a vibe for what Duce's thoughts are going to be, ( least i think i do, but I still don't mind hearing them I mean besides that time Trigg lost to St. Peiree but I think we all knew he was going to gloat about that.. I’ll admit I probably would done the same thing do in his shoes) but what I obviously assume what people would miss most if he never came back is his actually statistical insight about the bouts, and title history and fighter current events. Again.. nothings really happened all that recent in mma.. so i just assumed he's taking some time off for that reason. I'm not on sherdog's forums. I've been pretty busy these past couple of months at work.

Hay did you catch the show yesterday Duce?, I'm starting to get some serious faith in the Ulitimate fighter kids. Nick Diaz is a real threat and challenge to over come. I think they might been better of having that fight a ppv.

Yeah, after watching that fight, there is no doubt that Sanchez is a really talented kid.
i still do not like him though.
