I was looking through PWI 500 Wrestling Magazine and found an ad much like when Tom started out back in 1986! They are called Blood N Gutz and have a site. www.bloodngutz.com/Products.htmI have to say from what I have seen does not look like good quality, I have seen a lot better made GWF bootlegs! The site looks pretty bad too but it I figure I mention it to you guys. Maybe someone else has noticed these guys. I don't know how the game works but looks like a dice game as well. Kevin

I saw it, plus they're really expensive from what I've seen from the site. Lots of binders, big cards, and prices. No thanks, I'll keep my COTG.

Wow, really expensive, and you have to design all you own guys. Looks more roleplaying that COTG format. Thanks for the info Kevin.

This looks terrible. Really expensive, and they are really just seeling youa set of rules. Good job on producing a bunch of swag, though

I love your Mets picture by the way that is so true. I agree with the cost is out of control. I can see if you are getting a playing board with professionally printed materials but dam for what that game looks like with no cards and poor art and design. I would not risk the cash for that crap.

Yeah, you'd think they'd at least have a functioning web site before spending the money to advertise.... especially at those massively high prices.

So they want me to pay $39.99 for a bunch of blank cards and rules to a Lumberjack match?
At least the WrestleWars guys had a product original idea .... um .......
Another day, another pretender. And this too shall pass.

Until Strat-O-Matic comes out with a wrestling game, I wouldn't be much interested in trying any new game company.

Yeah, I went to the website the other day after reading my PWI 500. Looked horrible and got a breif chuckle and a thought "I wonder if these guys have ever playing Cotg?" That's all they'll get from me too.

It's really weird to me how how they push the merchandise and say nothing about the gameplay. The only other wrestling game I like besides COTG was Face To The Mat.

Until Strat-O-Matic comes out with a wrestling game, I wouldn't be much interested in trying any new game company.I hear you, for me Strat-o-matic is the best sports game out there. I have almost 25 baseball sets and 8 football and basket ball sets and 4 hockey sets. My closet is full. COTG is the best wrestling game out there.

I'm a sucker for RPG's of all variety. Favorites as far as Wrestling go are, FTTM, SuperStar Pro (a knockoff called Pro Wrestling Superstar on the web), and I even bought this Blood'N'Gutz to get into their online tournaments for that belt after meeting the creator (I live in Calgary where they operate). I have to say that the product they gave me is pretty decent quality, despite what people seem to be thinking. I got the basic set which is a binder with the rule set, the listed special cards and a bunch of Blank wrestling cards. I got together with the usual group and we had a blast once we figured out the system to build guys. We went with an early nineties WWF federation, made the more popular guys and set up a PPV type event. I think I'm going to order more of their Wrestler cards and do a more modern TNA/WWE crossover soon...bring the new and old together. It was a discussion on their forum that I read about CoTG and got to searching it out which brings me here. I'm surprised I never heard of CoTG before, seems to be one of the bigger ones. I'm looking into ordering this game as well, spending more time on the forums and seeing what its all about. Like I said, I'm into all things RPG. My wife hates it but I tell her it isn't an addiction, but a way of life.

Why can't the creator of the game just admit he's the creator of the game without trying to drum up some fake hype. "I met the creator, I live near him!" Ugh. There are no posts about COTG on the message board. There are like 10 posts altogether and half of them are neilybob's.
Learn to promote your product properly. No one is going to buy your stuff when you're pulling crap like this. See WrestleWars.
Here's a quote from the 'forum':
Trashing other games is a stupid idea. I know that even morons go into business, but read a damn book about marketing or get some real world experience at a base retail level before going into a business venture that has no chance of success. Trashing the competition - especially if you're targeting beloved games like COTG - will make people resent you and not buy your product. Every time.

Thats just funny. There's a thread where a guy is asking about the rules. They throw out a bunch of different game names including CoTG. I'm still trying to find the Brainbuster game, if anyone has any idea where it might be (thats another one they talk about).
I do have some questions about this game that I'm trying to figure out the proper place to put em. I'll try the Off topic/Other questions maybe, if anyone wants to help me out. Are most people here into the CoTG or LoW or both? I like the idea of LoW better, but probably will get both.

Lots of people here are into both games. I'd say more play COTG (or more specifically, the GWF) here, but LOW is quite popular too. The Deuce, the other board devoted to COTG, is probably more devoted to LOW.

Strat-O-Matic ROCKS.
Tom is a Strat player himself.
