You know what I see going on here..? Anyone here ever play any games from Games Workshop..? Warhammer, Warhammer 40,000, Necromunda, Blood Bowl (which, guaranteed, anyone on here willing to try it would love it)..? I have nothing to add to this thread, but saw the Blood Bowl reference - I LOVED the computer version of it. I don't suppose it ever got updated?

You want to know the absolute #1 reason why COTG has always had me coming back for more? Writing - needing to see what happened next. Hell, my fed history has a huge gap in it because I got 2089-2102 all at once. And you better believe I read all of those books the same day.
This game just doesn't have that long term appeal in my opinion. I haven't seen any game play and if its more complex than COTG then I'm out. I don't have 3 hours to play one paper and dice wrestling match. I get to create my own wrestler. So basically every character is a bootleg and I've expressed my thoughts on those many times on this board.
But wait...I can win a real replica title? One I carry around on my shoulder and tell people I won playing a wrestling card game?
No pussy from that admission. But then again that's probably not much different than how 95% of the people on this board end their days.
"Hey baby. Want to come check out my wrestling card game championship belt?"
So to each his own and blah blah blah. All I'm saying is I'm not straying.

The computer version no...The minis version is awesome, it's just a lot of work to get into, painting and such...and expensive, but that's GW for you... A bunch of us got into it and got other people in town interested and ran a big league...It was great fun...Things have changed now, but eventually we'd like to get all the teams so we can just play whenever we have company up or whatever...Sadly I ahve too many things on the go right now... By the way, cheap plug: I'll be starting my LOW fed up again soon...

So...Get over yourselves...If you don't like the games their talking about, let me remind you that they didn't start this thread...one of "us" did...They're players...they don't have anything to prove to you...They enjoy the game, and by telling them that they aren't allowed to you're making them not want to buy anything else from Filsinger games... Think about it... No, I think *you* should think about what the hell might be wrong with *you* in your head. No one even came close to saying these guys weren't "allowed" to "enjoy (their) game". No one told them that yet you spin that into "them not want to buy anything else from Filsinger games..." Nice one Tafgata. You almost had a fooled. As far as the other responses from the creators...please don't dance around it. If you want it to sell lets see how it plays and looks. I find it suspicious that we have *yet* to see a game card up close.

I don't have to spin anything...You want them to lose interest in your game, keep it up...

I don't have to spin anything...You want them to lose interest in your game, keep it up... Number one, you're insane. You may even be legally retarded (kind of thought that was a rumor maybe not). Number two all we've asked for it to see what the game looks like. I get that you are only smart enough to work at a gas station, but I'll point it out again, no one said they couldn't like thier own game or belt. We just want to see how the game looks and plays and less about some belt online tournaments for it. Now if you are too high on glue right now or gas fumes to understand that, sober up and come back later little brother. Thanks.

If you like, I can scan in some of my game sessions that we've gone through, basically just some loose leaf with our rolls written out on them. I'd like to see what the game cards look like up close, how they play, and how and what the rest of the pre-made wrestlers look like. I'd like to see or at least *hear* a bit about your fed. Ever see those IBM commercials where they say STOP TALKING. That's what I'm asking of you. I'd like to stop being sold on words on more on product. Lets see it.

Why can't the creator of the game just admit he's the creator of the game without trying to drum up some fake hype. "I met the creator, I live near him!" Ugh. There are no posts about COTG on the message board. There are like 10 posts altogether and half of them are neilybob's. Learn to promote your product properly. No one is going to buy your stuff when you're pulling crap like this. See WrestleWars. Here's a quote from the 'forum': Trashing other games is a stupid idea. I know that even morons go into business, but read a damn book about marketing or get some real world experience at a base retail level before going into a business venture that has no chance of success. Trashing the competition - especially if you're targeting beloved games like COTG - will make people resent you and not buy your product. Every time.Well if you think that pile of crap game is a "blast" you'll probably lose your freaking mind playing COTG. Compare it discovering fillet-mignon after years of eating hot garbage. No not even hot garbage but the hot garbage juice that drips from the bags in the hot sun and maggots are all up in it and maybe some dog came by and took a leak all over it and it smells a lot like a nine week old rotting monkey - that's what that game is compared to COTG. Pretty much all I can say at this point...That and thanks for the proper welcome back...I hope we're past that now...

I need to formally apologize for being abrasive, I mentioned this thread on the other forum and basically got told to not be a griefer. I didn't know there was an actual name for it, but I don't want to be labeled a Griefer.
Don't worry about me buying or not buying anything else from Filsinger. I don't associate Swarm with the company and have nothing against Tom based on anything said in these forums.
I do plan on buying LoW as it seems to be more my speed with the Classic guys. I don't know much about the CoTG storyline thing, but it sounds really cool and explains the years that ths game has been around. I wish I'd been there from the start, but better late than never! I'd love to hear more about this LoW fed....
Swarm, I'm not trying to sell you anything.
Splattercat, thanks for the names of these games, might have to see this Blood Bowl.
I've tried to photocopy the wrestler sheet, but it has a watermark that gets really dark when you do. I havn't tried to scan one though... The tournament program on their site shows exactly what the game card looks like (except for the background artwork..it has all the same sections front and back), and it has a wrestler that installs with it. On the CD I got for the actual tournament program there were 7 pre-made wrestlers. I've played through some matches with them as well as my own guys. I built up a lot of the old time wrestlers and like them better than the 'BnG League' extra guys.

Fair enough. You aren't trying to sell me the game. I'd still like to maybe buy it. Please show us more about the game cards, how it plays, and more about your fed. You clearly like and support the game very much and I'd like to see why.
Thanks.

Third time now glue boy - no where in there does it say he/they can't like or aren't "allowed" to like their game. That's what *you* said we or I said. Hell I never even quoted Knapik's post, you did. I'm not the one trying to sell or promote their game, or COTG. I'm comparing what I have seen from them to what I have played from COTG. Do you really not get that...? Personally I think you're really CPB using little brother's log in in an attempt to land another crappy drawing gig. Good luck.

Actually, I quoted Knapik's post because it says you shouldn't do exactly what you did for the reason I described...
Now then, I've said my piece, and Swarm, I apologise for angering you...but I assure you, Pittbull doesn't need to hide behind another name to post here...So, I take my leave of this discussion...My apologies once again...

wow...first of all you guys have been busy...I bought cotg 15 years ago because i was interested and after playing spw for some 7 years before that thought "maybe this new game has something"
second...I still don't get the anger here...nobody came on here telling the die hard cotger's to drop it and buy this game
third...it was one of the regulars that found the other game and started this thread...
fourth...obviously some people here can't read...because if you went to the other site you'd real REAL belt not replica...that Millican guy doesn't do replicas...you can buy on in PWI...lol...
fifth...being in both forums i wasted much game play time going over and asking the dumb questions from here to try and satisfy...to no avail
sixth...if you are so against other members trying new things...why say you might be interested if only you could see the complete game play...guess what...when i bought cotg 15 years ago i saw an ad in pwi...and bought it...there was't any other info...but i bought it...i saw this game called Trivial Pursuit...it was a trivia game...so i bought it...no game tells you exactly what it does and how you do it...that's why people sell it..lol..
seventh...and an addage to the above...when i wanted to read about the game i clicked on that link they have on the home page that says desciption of game...lol...wasn't hard...then i read like 10 posts from the owner....and asked him questions....lol...
eighth...i responded to this thread because i have been grabbing anything i can lately...it looks interesting...just like cotg did 15 years ago...just like it did when i re-bought it...
Finally....thankyou Slattercat...I appreciate you giving some support. I found it quite odd that the people who accuse you of sniffing gas were unable to fomulate an as articulate response as you did...lol...and to swer your question...yes I already bought LOW...which by the way started me wanting spw back...and yes, the attitudes here are not very condusive to pushing product...I can only hope Tom doesn't promote this behaviour...
which brings me to this...when i saw LOW did i say it was ripping the idea of using real uys from spw?...no...the blood site promotes making your own (something most here can't do...they out right bash it), yet they crave more than cotg offers as they suport and buy numerous bootlegs....
oh well...in any case i spent my money on cotg..low...and now this...hopefully i will enjoy it as much...if i don't, oh well...much has been said about wasting $29 for a game...i wonder...do any of those critics smoke...surely that costs more than $29/month?...
In any event...the anger is a waste of energy...the people interested in this wanted to see it and post here...let us be...lol...man, what if another new game came out...
we're adults people...let's act like it....

Look makers of this crappy game sorry if we think it sucks. We're allowed to think that and say it. If it's so great lets hear how it plays...lets see some results...cause all you've done so far is give us one pathetic drawing that looks like some kid drew it, doesn't even look like a wrester, and try to talk us into "trying something new" and "enter this tournament win this belt." I'm a grown man. What the hell am I going to do with that belt even if I wanted it...? That's your pitch...? Hey you can win this belt...? No thanks. With the amount of money you guys want to charge for this trapper keeper full of blank sheets I could buy a replica WWE Title if I wanted. What characters are in this.? How does it play...? What does the back of the cards look like...? Screw the belt and the online tournaments for it... show me how I can build a 30 year consecutive deep fed full of life, death, and continues story lines with your game and then show me how to play it. I want to see results...I'd like to hear more about the actual game and how the cards look and play than the nerdy belt and online tournament. Can you show us that...? Thanks. Swarm...I will be getting mine this week...I'll give it the run through, but you are wrong on one thing...the belt...lol...i actually put a question up there about the belt as "foam" piece of fake crap was suggested here...lol...so i took their advice and checked the guys site out...if you wanted the wwe title...$5000...lol...now that's authentic No dude, you can buy replicas for $300.00 Do you sere how many people bring those belts to Raw each week? I'm sure they don't all have $5,000 to spend o a title belt.

Sixteenth, a bunch of people did this same crap about Wrestle Wars so you're gonna get some negativity. Forty-eighth, that belt doesn't mean [censored]. One hundred and seventy - two, you can use as many "lol's" as you want but Swarm won't care if you're trying to be condescending towards him. It doesn't validate your point anymore because you use "lol." One thousand three hundred and twenty - fifth, make your posts shorter. Nobody reads those marathon posts. Well except maybe Havoc and Splattercat.

I can only hope this has been read by the admins who might say "wow...our loyal fans just managed to turn new money away" odd that many thing were not addressed, instead you continue to use sophmoric insults against people who posted in a thread when asked their opinion.
