Well, this topic has been hanging around for half a year now, so I finally decided to look. I honestly thought the topic was referring to the old PS2 video game "Know Your Role", so I didn't bother reading. It's not the best choice of names for a game anyway, similarity to the video game notwithstanding. But that's not the thrust of this reply.
At any rate, I first read about the game coming out in a quick blurb in one of the gaming magazine I was thumbing through in a bookstore some time ago. I was intrigued, but put it out of my head since I didn't hear or read anything else about it. In fact, this is the only other place I've seen it mentioned since then. I went to the Comic Images web site and the game is no longer mentioned there. EDIT: I did find the promo web site through a direct link, although it is not linked to Comic Images main site any longer.END EDIT. It doesn't seem like they're getting behind it, or maybe they're just really horrible at promoting new product. After a "google search" I did find it listed for pre-order at several online shops with a release listed as April and a retail of $39.99.
Coincidently, every message posting forum I ran across with a mention of the game seemed to have the same dissenting opinions form a RAW Deal CCG player who trahed the game as unoriginal, overpriced, second-rate, ect. It makes me wonder if there is a percepion from Raw Deal players that Comic Images may want to go a differnt direction with the WWe game lisence. Perhaps they feel threatened that Raw Deal may be on the endangered list with a new game out. Perhaps it is a personal problem with someone involved in the game or a personal desire to see it fail. Could it be that someone involved in the Raw Deal game it's self is trying to do a little inside sabatoge to the new game?
Either way, I'll give it a look, but I can't see myself spending $40 for a game like this at this point. I've seen WWF/WWe games come and go and only one wrestling game has held my interest for almost 20 years now(and the Know Your Role people are clearly aware of this enough to come here to promote their game). I don't see this one as being much different in the long run.
