LWF United States Heavyweight Title Tournament July 13, 2000 Santa Fe, NM Wrangler Convention Center
FIRST ROUND:
“Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat “Golden Greek” Jim Londos with the RUDE AWAKENING @ 6:20. Rude dominated most of the match and appeared focused to take the title.
“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) defeated Dan “The Beast” Severn after a misplaced attack by Nikolai Volkoff was made. Volkoff rushed the ring as Virgil distracted the official and nailed Severn instead of his intended target DiBiase leading to the pinfall @ 12:05.
The Destroyer defeated Killer Kowalski (w/ Jim Cornette) @ 11:33 with a chair shot to the head. The official was down and Cornette had tossed in a chair into the ring. Kowalski had wedged it inside the turnpost and went to whip the masked man. He reversed it, landed a stiff right to Cornette and then slammed the chair one final time on Kowalski’s head.
Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) pinned “Cowboy” Bob Orton following a PILEDRIVER @ 2:42. This was surprisingly quick match.
SEMI-FINALS:
“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) beat “Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) after the MILLION DOLLAR DREAM @ 14:20. Heenan had been sent to the back after he tried to distract the official earlier in the match.
Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat The Destroyer after a PILEDRIVER @ 17:02 in a thrilling match.
FINALS:
Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) beat “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) with a DIVING HEAD BUTT off the TOP ROPE @ 12:54 to capture the United States Heavyweight title.

LWF Superstars July 15, 2000 Phoenix, AZ War Memorial Auditorium
VTR (Video shows Harley Race capture the U.S. Heavyweight title in a tournament held in New Mexico.)
BACKSTAGE (Harley Race is smiling as the members of the Heenan family are shaking hands and congratulating the new champion. Bobby Heenan is beaming. Rick Rude looks visibly upset.) BH: This is a banner day for the family. Once again, Mr. Race you have proven yourself worthy in competition and you deserve every bit of the credit. I’m so proud. I can only hope that very soon we will dominate all the gold in the LWF. (Nick Bockwinkel shakes hands, as does the Masked Superstar and Heenan before let get ready to exit. Rude is left and he shakes Race’s hand but holds on a bit longer.) RR: Congratulations. You may have the title for now and believe me you deserve it. But, one thing, you always have to watch your back for challengers. (Rude lets go and walks away slowly as Race smirks and holds the belt.)
RINGSIDE GS: Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to LWF Superstars. We have quite a program for you and the feature event is for the LWF World’s Heavyweight title as Buddy Rogers defends against the former champion, Bruiser Brody. This match will be held with the proviso that the valet or manager for Mr. Rogers, Sherri Martel will be banned from ringside. So we look forward to that contest. Also we hope to hear from The Iron Sheik, as you know last week the wrestling world was shocked to see him attack his long time tag team partner, Nikolai Volkoff and we want to hear his comments. We also have one of several returns, as Steve Corino is back and ready to appear in tag team action. That and the first five tag teams will be announced for the LEGENDS CUP INVITATIONAL. So let’s go to the ring!
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Steve Corino & Justin Credible vs. S.D. Jones & Koko B. Ware
The returning Corino looked sharp, as he and Credible used several double team moves on Jones. As the two worked over Jones, Corino called for the SINGAPORE CANE and beat Jones senseless. This brought in Ware who has blasted with it, as well as the official who also got hit for his efforts. The bell was called but, not before Corino addressed the crowd. He said that he was back and that he had a long memory and he said that the Road Warriors were first on his list. Winners: Jones & Ware by Disqualification @ 2:45
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Dan ‘The Beast” Severn vs. Nikolai Volkoff (w/Gen. Nikita Brezhnikov)
Severn challenged Volkoff to this match, as it was his botched interference that cost him against Ted DiBiase in the United States Title tournament. Severn was able to keep things on the mat and used his quickness to dodge several attacks. After Volkoff hit a throat drop across the ropes VIRGIL came out to ringside distracting the Russian. Severn quickly locked in a GERMAN SUPLEX and bridged up to get the three count. Volkoff hardly seemed worried as he chased after Virgil to the locker room area. Winner: Severn by pin @ 6:15 Legends Invitational Cup UPDATE GS: Well fans, I am proud to announce the first five teams that have entered this special tag team tournament. These teams have not yet been seeded so they are in no particular order. First-
The Road Warriors No question about it the current LWF World tag team champions have to be a heavy favorite to take the big money.
Johnny & Greg Valentine This team is still considered the number one contenders and is still chasing the champions.
Steve Corino & Justin Credible Steve Corino is healthy and ready to show everyone why he and his partner have been the only team in the LWF to ever hold a victory over the formidable Legion of Doom.
XXX (Brutus Beefcake & Buff Bagwell) These veterans of tag team wrestling must be considered a dangerous threat, even though they have been accused by many experts of not being focused enough.
“Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Konnan This highflying duo has met with some success. No team should try and look past them.
We will have further updates as the week’s progress. Remember that tickets are on sale for the weekend of August 19th and 20th in Boston, Massachusetts.
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- Gorgeous George (w/ Cheri Dupree) vs. Brutus Beefcake (w/Buff Bagwell)
George attacks his opponent before the bell hoping to get and advantage on the larger Beefcake. George is very aggressive most of the match, as he does not react well to the crowd’s chants of CUEBALL. Beefcake rallies and uses a BACK DROP to send George over the ropes and to the floor. BAGWELL can’t resist as he steals George’s wig and then lands a solid right to his jaw. The ref did not care for the interference and called for the bell. Quickly, George’s protégé, DANNY DORING rushed to the ring and slammed Beefcake and then Bagwell with a folding chair and helped usher George to the back. Winner: George by Disqualification @ 9:45
Ringside GS: Ladies and gentlemen, wrestling experts are still talking about what we saw last week. As long time partners, The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff appeared to have a falling out. Sheik attacked his former partner at the behest of his employer, Ted DiBiase. Many people say that the Sheik was clearly conflicted and did not want to do it. The Sheik has been missing from all LWF events and television. Well, next week, BILL APTER will have an exclusive taped interview with the IRON SHEIK and he will answer all the questions that wrestling fans want to know.
-LWF World Title Match- 1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- -Sherri Martel is banned from ringside- “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers © vs. Bruiser Brody
Brody hit the ring like a house of fire and was all over the champion. Rogers staged a comeback and started to work on the right leg of the Wildman. The match continued back and forth until Brody hit a BIG BOOT and then a RUNNING LEGDROP, but only got a two count. He then whipped Rogers into the turnbuckle and came charging in with a CLOTHESLINE attempt. Rogers grabbed ref, TOMMY YOUNG and the official took the blow instead. With the ref out, Brody hit his JUMPING KNEE DROP and went for a cover with no one there to count. He started to check on Young to revive him. Rogers slowly recovered and pulled a chain out of his tights and hit Brody from behind. He then started working on his right knee. Just then, COWBOY BOB ORTON came to ringside with a pair of brass knuckles. He ran straight towards Rogers who was able to sidestep the attack and Brody caught the full brunt in the face. Rogers then tossed Orton over the top rope and locked in his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. A second official, RANDY ANDERSON came to the ring and rang the bell calling for the submission. Winner: Rogers by submission @ 25:27

LWF Superstars July 21, 2000 Salt Lake City, UT Mormon Center
VTR (Video of the LWF World title match between Buddy Rogers – Bruiser Brody is shown. Rogers escapes with the victory after interference by Bob Orton backfires.)
RINGSIDE GS: Hello and welcome to LWF Superstars. As you saw last week, the thrilling World title match was marred with outside interference, as BUDDY ROGERS was able to retain his title. No doubt Bruiser Brody is done by a long shot with that situation. Also we will see the Road Warriors defend their tag team titles in an open challenge and from what we have learned RICK RUDE has responded and he will team with fellow stable mate, MASKED SUPERSTAR to go after the belts. The TV champion, NICK BOCKWINKEL will be here, we will hear the next FIVE tag teams entered in the LEGENDS CUP INVITATIONAL and we will see the exclusive interview with THE IRON SHEIK as he is in the HOT SEAT with BILL APTER. All this and much more so let’s go to the ring!
-1 Fall –15 Minute Time Limit- King Kong Bundy (w/Ted DiBiase & Virgil) vs. “Golden Greek” Jim Londos
Bundy was not able to keep up with the superior agility of Londos. The Greek mat man was able to control the action and stay away from the larger Bundy. He applied a SLEEPER HOLD and this brought VIRGIL to the apron to try and distract the official. The ref quickly tried to get him out of the ring and TED DiBIASE used the distraction to try and level Londos from behind. But, NIKOLAI VOLKOFF who had run out of the locker room cut off DiBIASE. VOLKOFF pounded away with right hands until DiBiase left the scene. The ref by this time had already disqualified Bundy for all the outside issues. Winner: Londos by disqualification @ 7:13
-BACKSTAGE- (Bruiser Brody is seen running around in the back. He is upset, throwing anything in his way and demanding to know where BOB ORTON is. Brody opens the door and grabs a sitting JIM CORNETTE.) BB: Where is he? Where is he? JC: (stammering) Wha- Wha- BB: Where is Orton? I owe that punk something. JC: I don’t know. (Brody tosses him down. Cornette is shaken but is now a bit more resolute.) JC: I have no idea where that ingrate is. But, you may be a bad man Brody. But, you do not put your hands on me. If you’re looking for a fight, just look right behind you. (KILLER KOWALSKI is standing behind Brody with a scowl on his face. Brody turns and goes nose to nose.) BB: Since Orton aint nowhere to be found. I’ve got time. If you want a match big man, no problem.
-LWF World Television Title Match- 1 Fall – 30 Minute time limit- Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Bobby Heenan) © vs. Antonino Rocca
Rocca was able to give the champion a few anxious moments. But, after Rocca missed a deathjump, Bockwinkel began working the legs and finished things off with a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to retain the belt. Winner: Bockwinkel by submission @ 9:35
LEGENDS CUP UPDATE GS: Today we will learn the next five teams that have been officially entered into the tournament.
Gorgeous George & “Dastardly” Danny Doring The teacher and his protégé. It will be interesting to see how far they could go.
“Golden Greek” Jim Londos & Antonino Rocca Perhaps the most athletic team in all the LWF.
The Midnight Express Jim Cornette has promised a major announcement regarding his team for the tournament.
“Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & King Kong Bundy The big bucks and the biggest man in the LWF. They have contrasting styles, which should help them against many teams.
“Cowboy” Bob Orton & “Nature Boy” Ric Flair Flair is healed and is ready to wrestle. They are a wild card in the tournament.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Bruiser Brody vs. Killer Kowalski (w/ Jim Cornette)
These two giants spent most of the match outside the ring. They brawled for a majority of the match and the ref was almost forced to stop the action. Brody had attempted to set up a SUPLEX to hoist Kowalski back in the ring. But, Cornette grabbed his ankle and Kowalski instead sent Brody over the ropes and through a ringside table. Kowalski then rolled him in and applied the KOWALSKI CLAW. Brody was out cold as the ref counted his shoulders. Winner: Kowlaski by pinfall @ 12:45
THE HOT SEAT w/ BILL APTER (This episode was different in that it was a taped interview in an empty arena. Apter’s guest is the IRON SHEIK.) BA: First, I would like to thank you for being here and to meet with me under these circumstances. IS: Certainly. BA: Let, me start with the first question that’s on my mind. What is your relationship with NIKOLAI VOLKOFF? IS: Nikolai Volkoff is the best partner that I have ever had. We won many titles together. He is my friend. BA: Well, if that is true, could you explain why you attacked him? IS: Mr. Apter. The Sheik is a man of honor. I have a contract with Mr. DiBiase. I honor that contract. I did not like what happened to my friend. Mr. DiBiase turned his back on him when he needed help. But, I must do what I must do. I was told to attack Volkoff, I must do it or my word is no better than any common scum on the earth. BA: Do you have anything that you want to say to Nikolai Volkoff right now? IS: Yes. First I am sorry that this happened. But, I think that he understands and to show my good faith. I will do this for him. I want to let him get his chance in the ring, man against man, old country way. Just he and I. We will wrestle. No one on the outside, just he and I. And I hope that one day we will be back together again. BA: There you have it fans; to the Iron Sheik it’s a matter of honor.
-LWF World Tag Team Title Match- 1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- The Road Warriors © vs. “Ravishing” Rick Rude & Masked Superstar (w/Bobby Heenan)
Rude and Superstar needed some more time together in the ring. A botched move early as Superstar ran into Rude set up the DOOMSDAY DEVICE and a quick pin on Rude. As the match ended Rude was upset as he argued with his partner back to the dressing room. Winners: Road Warriors by pinfall @ 2:55

I really like reading the results of this fed. The situations between Bruiser Brody and Bob Orton and also between the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff are really interesting. I am also looking forward to your Legends Cup Tournament. It is cool that the Road Warriors are your tag team champions, I wish the dice would let them win a tag team championship in my fed.

Thank you very much. I've got a lot of things going on and I'm ready to post my next couple of tv cards soon leading up to the LEGENDS CUP. I've got a lot of ideas for Sheik and Volkoff , so I'm ready for wherever the dice takes me. BRODY will need to settle into a new role before he gets another crack at ROGERS. He wants revenge on ORTON, but FLAIR is back off injury. Where does it all go? Don't forget I'm still trying to see where the RACE-RUDE situation goes too?
Your tag tournament has been great as usual. I've got to put my money on the L.O.D.

LWF Superstars July 28, 2000 San Diego, CA Sports Arena
VTR (Video of last week’s tag team title match where the ROAD WARRIORS successfully defend against RICK RUDE and MASKED SUPERSTAR.)
RINGSIDE GS: Good day and welcome fans to another edition of LWF SUPERSTARS. RICK RUDE continues to have his problems and has shown what I feel to be some signs of jealousy towards his stable mate in the HEENAN FAMILY, United States champion, HARLEY RACE. We will see Mr. Race in action in defense of his title tonight. Also we have what I have been told is a huge announcement concerning the MIDNIGHT EXPRESS. JIM CORNETTE is never one to disappoint so we will be tuned into that situation. Also, we have a very interesting match up as friends and tag partners, THE IRON SHEIK and NIKOLAI VOLKOFF will wrestle in a friendly match. This is to have no one at ringside as a way to bury any ill feelings between the two men. It should be most interesting. And five more entries for the LEGENDS CUP will be announced on today’s show.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Gorgeous George (w/Cheri Dupree) vs. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka
George was distracted by the fan’s repeated chants of “BALDY” and “CUEBALL”. As a result Snuka was in charge for most of the bout. He hit a leapfrog and chop and then finished things off with the SUPERFLY LEAP for the three count. After Snuka left the ring, and George was being helped up by his valet. He was shocked as he heard a voice over the loudspeakers. It was BUDDY ROSE! Rose started to walk out and said that he was back and that his goons just couldn’t get the job done. He demanded that things be settled in the ring. This time we put it in a CAGE, you and me at the LEGENDS CUP. George appeared unsure as he tried to fend off the fan’s taunts and ROSE blocking his way to the back. George responded that he was not a filthy animal and would not go near the CAGE. Rose pushed on further and continued to insult his man hood. Finally, George relented and agreed. But he did say that this would be the last that we ever see of BUDDY ROSE, I guarantee it! Winner: Snuka by pin @ 6:45
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) vs. Antonino Rocca & Jim Londos
Jim Cornette was already in the ring ready to give his own introduction of his team. He said that he had a very exciting announcement, a new member of the Midnight Express, an old friend who would help push the team to new heights, “LOVERBOY” DENNIS CONDREY. He added that all others need to watch out, you may not know whom you’re going to get. The three members hugged and then did a “rock, paper, scissors” routine. BOBBY EATON and DENNIS CONDREY would take on ROCCA and LONDOS. This was a fast paced match that had many near pin falls. All four men ended up in the ring. ROCCA as whipped into the ropes and CORNETTE tripped up his legs. EATON and CONDREY double teamed LONDOS and then used the ROCKET LAUNCHER to get the victory. Winner: Midnight Express by pin @ 22:05
LEGENDS CUP UPDATE
The Killer Bees Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell return to the LWF for their shot at the big money.
S.D. Jones & Koko B. Ware These two men look to change their look and their fortunes as a tag team. They will now be called BOOGIE DOWN PRODUCTIONS.
Mad Dog & Butch Vachon The ban has been lifted in time for the tournament and they are ready to make an impact.
Jerry Lawler & Austin Idol The Memphis tag team champions could be another surprise team that could go deep in the tournament.
Hector & Chavo Guerrero The Mid-South tag team champions are quite a quick and explosive team. LOS BANDITOS will be ready for the challenge!
GS: That gives us 15 teams entered. That means only eleven are left. It also looks as if one team will need to name a replacement, as it appears that one special attraction has been added with BUDDY ROSE facing GORGEOUS GEORGE inside the STEEL CAGE, so DANNY DORING will need to secure a new partner.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Managers barred from ringside- The Iron Sheik vs. Nikolai Volkoff
The former partners walked out with no one in their corners. Before the bout, they both shook hands and circled each other and began to lock up. Volkoff showed extreme power and had the Sheik frustrated. Volkoff had a lot of momentum and got a near fall with an impressive Backbreaker Drop. The Sheik tried to gather himself in the corner when VIRGIL ran out to ringside to offer encouragement. Both the Sheik and the official motioned for him to go back to the locker room. While they were busy TED DiBIASE had made his way trough the crowd and was on the other side of the ring. He lured Volkoff over and nailed him with a FOREIGN OBJECT. Volkoff staggered back and The Iron Sheik met him with a SIDEWINDER SUPLEX and got the cover and the three count. DiBiase and Virgil had already left the scene. The Sheik helped his former partner up and hoped to shake hands. The dazed Russian pushed him away. The Sheik seemed confused. He tried to extend his hand and Volkoff spat at him. The Iranian charged at him and the two engaged in a slugfest in the center of the ring. LWF security was called in to restore order. Winner: Iron Sheik by pin @ 5:22
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- United States Title Match- Harley Race (w/ Bobby Heenan) © vs. The Destroyer
Race started slowly as the masked man brought the fight to him. Later in the contest, RICK RUDE came out to offer “encouragement” to his stable mate. As the match spilled to the outside and BOBBY HEENAN was distracting the ref, Rude picked up a chair and swung. It looked as if he was aiming for RACE, but he sidestepped it and Destroyer caught the blow. Race then rolled him foe back in and used his PILEDRIVER to retain the belt. Rude looked disgusted as the cameras went black. Winner: Race by pin @ 18:45

Steve Corino & Justin Credible defeated Boogie Down Productions when Corino pinned S.D. Jones following an OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION @ 3:20.
-LWF World Television Title Match- Nick Bockwinkel (w/Bobby Heenan) © defeated Dan Severn by submission with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK @ 5:53.
The Iron Sheik (w/ Virgil) beat Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Gen. Nikita Breznikov) with a CAMEL CLUTCH @ 7:03. Sheik continued to keep the hold on and did not release it until LWF officials dragged him off. Volkoff looked in trouble and was helped to the back.

LWF Superstars August 4, 2000 Billings, MT Grizzly Mountain Center
VTR (Video of last week’s match between the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff and the ensuing brawl afterward.) GS: Good evening and welcome to another edition of LWF Superstars. The situation between The Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff has risen more than a few notches. After their so called, “friendly” match, a heated altercation broke out when Volkoff refused to shake his former partners hand and spat at him. This caused an all out brawl until security could break it up. Well, afterwards our “MEAN” GENE OKERLUND was backstage and caught the IRON SHEIK for an interview after that match. Please understand that most of this is edited for television, as the language used is at times incomprehensible.
(Video – Backstage with Gene Okerlund and The Iron Sheik.) GO: Iron Sheik, please come in. What happened out there? I thought this was going to be a friendly match? (Sheik is pacing visibly upset.) IS: Volkoff! I can’t believe the disrespect that you show me. I put my hand out in friendship. I have a match between two men, just you and me and what do you do. (Getting more angry) You spit at the Sheik! You are nothing but a punk. How could I deserve such treatment? GO: But, Sheik did you see that --- IS: Volkoff! You are worse that a *&$#@! I will make you pay! I will make you pay! Do you understand Okerlund? (Grabbing Gene Okerlund by his collar and threatening a slap across the face.)
GS: It was right there that we had to cut things short. The Iron Sheik continued to get more and more agitated and we had to call in security. Gene Okerlund is okay and did not sustain any injuries. But, it is clear that the war is on, and we have Ted DiBiase to thank.
We have much more on the program today. Harley Race defends his United States Heavyweight Title, and we will hear the next five teams entered in the LEGENDS CUP. All this and more, so let’s go to the ring.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- “Dastardly” Danny Doring vs. The Sandman
Doring was able to sustain very little offense, as Sandman used his superior brawling skills. Doring tried to escape outside the ring but was nailed with several SINGAPORE CANE shots to the head. The official saw this and called for the bell. The action continued and Sandman pressed the advantage. Suddenly from the back a figure came to the ring and fought off the Sandman. It was CHRIS CANDIDO! Sandman was held back by a LWF official and went to the back. Candido helped up Doring and made the announcement that he was back and that he would be the new partner for Doring for the LEGENDS CUP. He also told BAGWELL and BEEFCAKE to watch their back. Winner: Doring by Disqualification @ 6:52
Backstage (A shiny black and silver limo pulls up. The driver gets out to open the door and SHERRI MARTEL and BUDDY ROGERS step out. They are dressed very well as Rogers carries the LWF World Heavyweight title in his hands.)
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- “Mad Dog” Maurice & “Butcher” Paul Vachon vs. XXX (Buff Bagwell & Brutus Beefacke)
The Vachons tried to isolate Beefcake most of the match. They used various double teams to keep him on the mat. Late in the contest he made the hot tag to Bagwell and all four men were in the ring. BUTCHER VACHON caught BAGWELL with a CHOKE SLAM and hooked the leg to get the pinfall. Winners: The Vachons by pin @ 12:43
THE HOT SEAT w/ BILL APTER BA: Hello wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of the HOT SEAT. On today’s program I have the current LWF Heavyweight champion of the world, “NATURE BOY” BUDDY ROGERS and his manager, SHERRI MARTEL. Mr. Rogers it is a pleasure having you here today. I must ask you who you are most concerned about taking this title from you. BR: First, why don’t you congratulate me on my new $5,000 suit and my brand new limousine? This is how a champion conducts himself. But, to answer your question, nobody. BA: Not even, the former champion, BRUSIER BRODY. Your title match was shrouded in controversy and it seems to me that he should get another shot. BR: That big ape will get in line like all the rest. I don’t care who it is, BRODY, ORTON, SNUKA, KOWALSKI, I’ll knock them all down. BA: What about RIC FLAIR? BR: It’s hard wrestling when you are in a hospital bed. I put that phony where he belongs. (A staff assistant hands APTER a piece of paper.) BA: Well, if we could take a look at the Jumbo-Tron video. We will see that brand new limo, you talked about Mr. Rogers. (Video screen shows the car. And then RIC FLAIR and COWBOY BOB ORTON come into view.) BR: What is this all about? RF: Well, I’m feeling so good today and I’m such a fan of baseball. I thought I’d practice my swing. (Holding a wooden bat) (FLAIR shatters the windshield as Orton works on the back of the vehicle.) BR: No! Stop! (ROGERS tears off to the backstage area in horror.)
LEGENDS CUP UPDATED
GS: The next five teams will be announced, making the grand total twenty. The last four will be wild card teams from all over the world.
Red Bastien & Billy “Red” Lyons The Flying Red Heads are ready to fly high.
The Destroyer & Dan Severn This duo has plenty of wrestling skills to take home the prize.
Nick Bockwinkel & The Masked Superstar One half of Heenan’s family is ready to roll.
Nikolai Volkoff & Gen. Nikita Breznikov The communist revolution will be televised.
Harley Race & Rick Rude Bobby Heenan has had enough of the bickering and wants his men to be unified. Will it work?
Special Attraction: -Steel Cage Match- “Playboy” Buddy Rose vs. Gorgeous George
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- Bruiser Brody vs. “Cowboy” Bob Orton
Brody attacked Orton before the bell even rang. He battered his opponent with fists and boots. Orton reversed a whip and caught him low. Brody recovered and hit a Twisting suplex that took the breath from the big cowboy. This brought out, RIC FLAIR to ringside. Orton used another low blow to stop the advantage and used a MIDDLE ROPE SPLASH to gain a pin attempt. FLAIR held Brody’s legs; while ref did not notice and ORTON got the upset win. BUDDY ROGERS also came running out to ringside with a baseball bat after FLAIR and ORTON. Quickly both men ran through the crowd as ROGERS and BRODY gave chase. Winner: Orton by pin @ 10:14
Backstage (Harley Race and the Heenan family are preparing for the next match.) BH: Harley, be prepared. That barefoot clown is still dangerous. Make sure you keep your eyes open. HR: No problem. Just make sure certain people don’t get in the way trying to help. RR: What is that supposed to mean? BH: Gentlemen. A little competition is always a good thing. But, we are a family. That why RICK RUDE and HARLEY RACE will team together in the LEGENDS CUP and NICK BOCKWINKEL and the MASKED SUPERSTAR will unite as well. And if you end up facing each other in the finals. May the best team win. HR: Ok. (Towards Rude) Just make sure you don’t screw things up and just stay away from ringside tonight. Got it. RR: Whatever is best for the family.
-LWF United States Title Match- 1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- Harley Race (w/Bobby Heenan) vs. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka
A wild brawl between these two men, Snuka caught Heenan trying to interfere after he hit a stunning SUPERFLY LEAP. He shoved the pudgy manager to the ground and was then hit from behind by the champion. Both men battled on the outside and ignored the official’s instructions. Chairs were flying and Race ended up into the ringpost. The match was called and both men were disqualified. Winner: NO CONTEST – Double Disqualification @ 13:41

LWF Superstars August 11, 2000 St. Paul, MN St. Paul Convention Center
VTR (Video of last weeks’ U.S. title defense between Harley Race and Jimmy Snuka. The match ended with both men still battling on the floor as the referee called for the bell.
GS: Good evening and welcome to another edition of LWF Superstars and to open the program we have with us, head promoter, MW Jergs who has a host of exciting announcements for us. MWJ: Thank you, Gordon always a pleasure. Let me get right down to it. First, the feuds between Buddy Rogers, Ric Flair, Bob Orton, and Bruiser Brody have been on fire lately. In the spirit of our first annual LEGENDS CUP, which will be in about a week, I have signed this match for today’s main event. RIC FLAIR and COWBOY BOB ORTON will face BUDDY ROGERS and BRUISER BRODY on today’s show. Also on the program we will hear the four remaining seeds for the LEGENDS CUP tournament and next week will release the first round matches. In addition we have signed one more match, the LWF World Heavyweight champion, BUDDY ROGERS will wrestle former champion, BRUISER BRODY, and number one contender, KILLER KOWALSKI in a TRIPLE THREAT MATCH. We are very excited about the LEGENDS CUP and we will have final word later today. GS: Wow! The real question is, how will Buddy Rogers and Bruiser Brody co-exist on the same side tonight? Can they put aside personal issues to gain a victory tonight over men they both don’t like? We’ll find out.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & Iron Sheik (w/Virgil) vs. Nikolai Volkoff & Gen. Nikita Brezhnikov
Volkoff and Sheik tore into each other before the bell even sounded. No clear advantage on either side until the Big Russian tagged in his advisor. DiBiase was able to keep him isolated and used Virgil’s distractions to clamp on the MILLION DOLLAR DREAM. The Russian had little chance as he was forced to submit. Winners: DiBiase & Iron Sheik by submission @ 6:35
Backstage: (Bobby Heenan is with both Harley Race and Rick Rude in the locker room. No one looks happy.) BH: That’s my final word on it. We are the Heenan family. Families always have disagreements from time to time. But we work them out. Entering you two into that tournament is the best thing to do. You must be unified to beat your opponents and you are going to start tonight against the team that you last wrestled, Snuka and that greasy wetback Konnan. No, go out there and do what you do best, hurt people! (Race shakes his hand and leaves but gives Rude a sideways glance. Rude stays behind.) RR: Look. I’ll do this for you boss. But, after the tournament I need to start thinking about myself. I’ve noticed that everyone in the family is taken care of besides me. BH: Ricky, don’t be this way. RR: Then do something for me. I want a World title shot. BH: But I – RR: I want my shot! Get it for me – or I walk! BH: I’ll make it happen. (Rude leaves a visibly shaken Heenan.)
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka & Konnan vs. “Ravishing” Rick Rude & Harley Race (w/Bobby Heenan)
No problems for Heenan’s team working together, as they used various double teams. The match degenerated into a brawl after Konnan hit a DDT on Rude and Race broke up the count. All four men battled to the outside and the ref lost all control and called for the bell. Rude and Race attempted a double clothesline on Snuka, but the high flier nailed both men out of the ring. Winners: NO-CONTEST DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION @ 11:23
Backstage: (Buddy Rogers is with Sherri Martel as they prepare for their match. Bruiser Brody walks in to interrupt.) BR: Hold on big man. I’m not happy about this either. But, this is a chance to beat on two guys we both don’t like. This could work out well for us. (Brody stares at Rogers and then his title and speaks.) BB: I’ll do what I always do and that’s beaten my opponent within an inch of his life. You got nothing to worry about tonight. But, come next Sunday, I’ll get back what you stole from me. (Brody leaves after a short stare down.)
LEGENDS CUP Control Center
GS: Here are the last four remaining spots for the LEGENDS CUP.
Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki Former LWF wrestlers are now the All-Pacific tag team champions.
Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard Considered by many as one of the best tag teams ever, certainly the sneakiest.
Ron & Don Harris The champions of the Pacific Northwest are ready to bruise the competition.
The House of Style – Antonio Armani & Romeo Versace The ACCW tag team champions are ecstatic that their manager got them this unique opportunity.
More information on seedings, byes, and first round matches next week!
-LWF Television Title Match- Nick Bockwinkel (w/Bobby Heenan) © vs. “Golden Greek” Jim Londos
This was a fantastic scientific match until Bockwinkel began to panic as Londos was getting the best of him. He ignored the ref’s pleas and tossed Londos over the top rope and Heenan nailed him with a folding chair. Londos was out cold as LWF officials attended him. Winner: Londos by Disqualification @ 10:56
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers (w/Sherri Martel) & Bruiser Brody vs. “Nature Boy” Ric Flair & “Cowboy” Bob Orton
The truce between Rogers and Brody was uneasy but showed no signs of strain. The match went back and forth until late in the contest all four men were in the ring. BUDDY ROGERS caught ORTON in a cradle and USED the ROPES during the pin to get the tainted win. After the fall, FLAIR rushed the ring and nailed Rogers with repeated chops. Brody just watched the action unfold and left the ring. Martel was screaming at him, but he just glared at her and smiled as he left. Orton and Flair then executed a SPIKE PILEDRIVER on the champion before officials could break up the action and examine him.

LWF Superstars August 18, 2000 Providence, RI Providence Civic Center
VTR (Tag Team Main event between Buddy Rogers-Bruiser Brody and Ric Flair and Cowboy Bob Orton. After the match, Flair and Orton double-team Rogers while Brody leaves the area.)
GS: Good day fans and welcome to LWF Superstars. We are just one day away from the LWF LEGENDS CUP and we will have the final rundown with the seedings and any late breaking news that might affect this tournament. But as for today’s program we have a match that everyone has been waiting for. LWF World champion, BUDDY ROGERS has challenged RIC FLAIR to a non-title match right here on our show. While only two days later, ROGERS will engage in the LWF’s first ever TRIPLE THREAT match against BRUISER BRODY and KILLER KOWALSKI. Lots of excitement as all teams are making final preparations to see who will grab the million dollars. So let’s go to the ring.
-15 Minute Time Limit – 1 Fall “Dastardly” Danny Doring & Chris Candido vs. Red Bastein & Billy Lyons
Doring and Candido controlled the match from the onset. They used quick double teams and kept Bastein in their corner. The wily vet was able to make a hot tag to his partner who cleared house. In the confusion, LYONS hit a succession of RAPID FIRE DROPKICKS on CANDIDO to give his team the victory. Winners: The Flying Redheads by pin @ 9:46
Backstage Interview w/ Jim Cornette & The Midnight Express (Gene Okerlund is in the locker room area with a smiling Jim Cornette and all three members of the Midnight Express) GO: Jim Cornette, please come on in. I need to get your thoughts on the recent actions of you and your men and how you put the Destroyer out of commission. JC: Well, Gene first off all the Destroyer just didn’t know when to quit. That masked goof has been giving me trouble and my man, the next LWF World heavyweight champion, Killer Kowalski because he refuses to obey the rules. He grabs anything he can get his hands on, a lead pipe, a clock radio, and a set of pliers and proceeded to nail my big man with it. Now granted that’s the only way he has a snowball’s chance of beating the man. But that being said, this guy has been a problem for a lot of people, Bobby Heenan, Lou Albano and myself. The only difference is, that I take care of my problems and now that buffoon needs a mask to hide all the injuries sustained at the hands of “Beautiful” Bobby, “Sweet” Stan and “Loverboy” Dennis. GO: Can I please get your thoughts on the LEGENDS CUP? JC: My thoughts are that this might be the easiest money I ever made. Can you honestly tell me that anyone will be able to beat the three most decorated tag team wrestlers in history. A tournament is about stamina and endurance and the will the win. The Midnight Express has all of those is spades. GO: And what about the Road Warriors? JC: You really know how to upset me don’t you. If those idiots are lucky enough to meet us in the finals, we have some tricks they ain’t seen yet. So I hope that you get to us because we’ll be ready for you.
-15 Minute Time Limit- King Kong Bundy (w/ Virgil) vs. Dan “The Beast” Severn
Severn took the microphone to address the crowd. He said that he was upset to hear about The Destroyer’s injury and said that he would be happy to help the masked man get a little revenge on a loudmouth like Jim Cornette. But, he needs a partner, so he called a good friend from Japan and found a great one. “DR.DEATH” STEVE WILLIAMS! Williams came out to join his new partner at ringside, as BUNDY tried to charge him. Severn ducked out of the way and kept the larger man off balance. Severn dominated the action and got the big man off his feet. VIRGIL sensing trouble rushed to the apron but was grabbed by STEVE WILLIAMS who landed a few rights hands to send the bodyguard flying. Severn locked in the WAKIGATAME and Bundy was forced to tap out. Winner: Severn by submission @ 5:23
-15 Minute Time Limit – 1 Fall- XXX (Brutus Beefcake & Buff Bagwell) vs. Greg & Johnny Valentine (w/Capt. Lou Albano)
The Valentines remained focused, as they were not disturbed by the antics of the XXX. After a few double team moves, GREG VALENTINE used a SHOULDER BREAKER to put away BEEFCAKE. Winners: Valentines by pin @ 8:53

This long awaited match started slowly as both men were cautious. Rogers was able to gain control and soon the match was on the outside. Both men took turns slamming the other in the ring post and eventually things got settled and back in the ring. The match proceeded and Flair reversed a whip and threw Rogers into the official, who went down hard. Flair was able to lock in his FGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and wrenched up the pressure. MARTEL seeing trouble climbed the top turnbuckle. But, Flair saw her, released his hold and pressed her off the buckle onto the prone Rogers. Orton then grabbed Martel from the ring, as Flair made the cover with two feet on the ropes. The ref came to and delivered the three count to get the win, but not the title. LWF Special Event: LEGENDS INIVITATIONAL CUP August 19, 2000 Boston, MA Fleet Center
VTR (Still photos of the tag teams that are all vying for the cup and the million-dollar prize. Who will take home the cup?)
GS: Welcome to the LWF Legends Invitational Cup, where the winning team will gain not only the respect and notoriety of his peers but one million dollars in prize money. We will get into our first round very shortly but, this will be an exciting two day event that will see a CAGE MATCH between BUDDY ROSE and his longtime foe, GORGEOUS GEORGE and the LWF World Heavyweight Title will be defended against two men, as BUDDY ROGERS faces, KILLER KOWALSKI and BRUISER BRODY. So much action is in store, so let’s go to the ring!
FIRST ROUND: (All matches are a 20 Minute Time Limit)
XXX (Buff Bagwell & Brutus Beefcake) vs. Chris Candido & “Dastardly” Danny Doring
Candido jumped in the ring first and demanded that Bagwell get in with him. After a few minutes of back and forth, Candido hit the BLONDE BOMB but Beefcake was able to make the save. Candido tagged off to his partner and never got back in the match. XXX isolated Doring and were able to use a double team NECKBREAKER followed by a Bagwell DDT to get the first round victory as Candido left his partner in disgust. Winners: XXX by pin @ 6:27
Harley Race & “Ravishing” Rick Rude (w/Bobby Heenan) vs. “King” Jerry Lawler & “Universal Heartthrob” Austin Idol
All eyes were on how well the team of Rude and Race would work together in this tournament. Things were going well until Race held Idol’s arms for a double team and Rude hit his partner instead of the Universal Heartthrob. Lawler used his brawling ability to punish Race and had him on the ropes. The wily manager, Heenan jumped on the apron after Lawler connected with a FISTDROP. The King quickly caught Heenan with a right hand that crumpled him to the concrete floor. Lawler continued his assault as all four men were fighting around the ring. Race was caught in the ropes and Lawler refused to let up and even pushed aside ref, Tommy Young. Young sensed chaos and rang the bell giving the match to Heenan’s team. Winners; Race & Rude by Disqualification @ 14:31
Masked Superstar & Nick Bockwinkel vs. Ron & Don Harris
Bockwinkel had informed the crowd that Bobby Heenan was injured and could not come to ringside. After the cheers died down, he said that he and his partner were dedicating the match to him. The match picked up quickly as all four men used double teams and disregarded the rules. Finally, ref, Scrappy McGowan called for the bell and threw this one out and they brawled into the locker room area. Winners: Double-Disqualification @ 11:46
Dan “The Beast” Severn & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams vs. Nikolai Volkoff & Gen. Nikita Breznikov
Breznikov was the weak link in this contest. Williams hit the OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE to get his team the win. Winners: Severn & Williams by pin @ 5:35
Hector & Chavo Guerrero vs. Boogie Down Productions (Koko B. Ware & S.D. Jones)
Los Banditos were very smooth in their teamwork and decimated their opponents. Hector trapped Ware in the GORY SPECIAL and got the victory. Winners: Guerreros by submission @ 3:37
The Flying Redheads (Red Bastein & Billy Lyons) vs. The Killer Bees (Brian Blair & Jim Brunzell)
This was a fast paced match between the two highflying teams. There were several near falls on both sides. In the end all four men were in the ring and Lyons had Brunzell caught in a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to gain entry into the second round. Winners: Flying Redheads by submission @ 13:56
Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Giant Baba & Antonio Inoki
Anderson and Blanchard showed why they were a dark horse to win the tournament with potent double team maneuvers that hurt the Japanese legends. Blanchard nailed Baba with a FOREIGN OBJECT from his trunks for the pin. Winners: Anderson & Blanchard by pin @ 11:29
“Golden Greek” Jim Londos & Antonino Rocca vs. The House of Style (Antonio Armani & Romeo Versace)
This was the most competitive match in the first round. Armani and Versace showed great courage as they fought off two near falls. But finally Rocca landed a FLYING BODYPRESS on Versace to end the first round action. Winners: Londos & Rocca by pin @ 17:23
SECOND ROUND: (All matches are a 30 Minute Time Limit)
The Road Warriors vs. XXX (Buff Bagwell & Brutus Beefcake)
The LWF World tag team champions steamrolled their opponents. Hawk pinned Beefacke after the DOOMSDAY DEVICE to advance. Winners: Road Warriors by pin @ 6:33
Harley Race & “Ravishing” Rick Rude vs. Mad Dog & Butcher Vachon
Once again, Bobby Heenan was absent from this contest due to effects from earlier in the evening. Race and Rude continued their uneasy alliance. They still proved effective as Rude nailed the Mad Dog with a PILEDRIVER to gain the victory. Winners: Race & Rude by pin @ 16:07
Steve Corino & Justin Credible vs. Dan “The Beast” Severn & “Dr. Death” Steve Williams
As all four men fought in the ring, Corino was able to hook Severn into the OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION and gain a surprise win to advance. Winners: Corino & Credible by pin @ 13:56
The Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Bobby Eaton) (w/Jim Cornette & Dennis Condrey) vs. Hector & Chavo Guerrero
The Express looked very sharp but the Guerreros put up quite a fight. Chavo missed a move from the top rope and Bobby Eaton quickly cradled him with a handful of tights to secure the win. Winners: Midnight Express by pin @ 18:56
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair & “Cowboy” Bob Orton vs. The Flying Redheads (Red Bastein & Billy Lyons)
Bastein and Lyons grew tired of the cheating tactics of their opponents and engaged in a pier six brawl. The ref finally lost all control and called for the bell and disqualified both teams eliminating them from competition. Winners: Double-Disqualification @ 14:22
Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard vs. Ted DiBiase & King Kong Bundy (w/ Virgil)
The match ended with the legal men in the contest on the outside. Anderson and Blanchard pulled off an amazing double team move as they gave Bundy a SPIKE PILEDRIVER on the outside. The big man was out cold and was counted out of the contest. Winners: Anderson & Blanchard by Countout @ 15:22
“Golden Greek” Jim Londos & Antonino Rocca vs. Greg & Johnny Valentine (w/ Capt. Lou Albano)
Rocca and Londos continued their roll as they upset the Valentines. Rocca caught Greg into an ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER and caused him to submit. Winners: Londos & Rocca by submission @ 17:45
-STEEL CAGE MATCH- First to escape the cage wins “Playboy” Buddy Rose vs. Gorgeous George
George was hesitant as he walked around the steel and inspected each side of the ring. After stalling he finally made his way in the ring and was quickly caught by Rose. Rose punished the human orchid and threw him face first to the mesh. George was cut open and began bleeding. George was able to fight back and hit a low blow and was able to bust open Rose as well. The end came as Rose regained control and flew off the ropes and landed a FLYING FOREARM under George’s chin. George flew back and out the door to the floor below to get the win. Rose was in disbelief but grabbed George instead and dragged him back in the ring and gave him a BOMBS AWAY from the top rope. He then wiped his brow and flung it on the unconscious chest of the Gorgeous One. Winner: Gorgeous George @ 14:54
Day Two coming up soon!!!!!!! Back from vacation and ready to roll!

Great Legends Invitational Cup tournament!
I was surprised to see Steve Corino and Justin Credible do so well. But the dice do what the dice are going to do.

Corino and Credible have been a very solid tag team in my fed. They are former World tag team champions and hold a victory over the Road Warriors. I thought they would be a throw away team but, who knows.
Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard were the dark horse winners. This should earn them a spot full time in the LWF. Will they join Ric Flair and Cowboy Bob Orton to form everyone's favorite stable? And why did Steve Corino shake hands with Anderson and Blanchard before and after the match? What will happen now that Rick Rude has officially broken from the Heenan family? This and much more on the next episode of LWF Superstars 9/1/00. Stay tuned!

LWF Superstars September 1, 2000 East Rutherford, NJ The Meadowlands
VTR (Still shots of the action at the LEGENDS CUP INVITATIONAL.) GS: Good evening ladies and gentlemen and if you missed the latest pay per view –LEGENDS CUP INVITATIONAL, then you missed the very best that pro wrestling has to offer. We will run down all the happenings for you today and we are pleased to let you know that our next pay per view will be October, 31 in Philadelphia and it will be HALLOWEEN HAVOC. No doubt the spooks and spirits will be out in full force. Let’s get to the most important piece of news and that is which team won the million-dollar prize. For that, let’s go to Mean Gene Okerlund backstage.
BACKSTAGE (Gene Okerlund is in the locker room with TULLY BLANCHARD and ARN ANDERSON, who are dressed in business casual attire.) GO: Gentlemen I must congratulate you as the first team to win the coveted prize besting all the other tag teams in the tournament. TB: Well, thank you Gene. No one should be surprised as the cream always rises to the top. And we are the best team in the history of the sport and it got us thinking that maybe we wouldn’t mind sticking around here in the LWF. There are some pretty good tag teams here, you have the Midnight Express, you have the Valentines, you have the Vachons and you have the two so-called champions, the big bad Road Warriors. Maybe we should just add to our accolades and our wallets while we are at it. AA: Okerlund, it’s a simple proposition. We love titles, we love money, and we love proving that we are the best. Now you have two guys that call themselves the current tag team champions. Two guys who can press a lot of weight and are as strong as any team out there. But, we will always have the advantage over them because we think on our feet. We outsmart people on a daily basis anyhow, why would they be any different? GO: So it appears that you two gentlemen will be competing here in the LWF. Would you be following your old friend RIC FLAIR and can the reformation of the FOUR HORSEMEN be far behind? TB: (Smiles) Sorry Gino, no breaking scoops here today. We are going after the ROAD WARRIORS and we wish RIC FLAIR the best of luck, as we know he’ll get what he deserves and put BUDDY ROGERS on his back.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- “Modern Day Warrior” Kerry Von Erich vs. “Dastardly” Danny Doring
The LWF debut for Von Erich went very well. He dominated Doring and finally put him away with a SLEEPER. Winner: Von Erich by submission @ 5:32.
IN RING: (Rick Rude has hit the ring and demands a microphone.) RR: Shut up all you Jersey cows and let a real man tell you what happening. A lot of people are wondering why I left the Heenan family and why I layed out HARLEY RACE. That’s easy. I got tired of it. I consider BOBBY HEENAN a friend and when he needed my help I gave it to him. But, Bobby have you gotten me what I wanted. No. All I got were excuses. I watched Nick Bockwinkel get a title, I saw Harley Race get a gold belt. Well I had had enough and I thought that I’d take control of things so right now I am challenging Harley Race for the United States title on this program tonight. I demand an answer. (MW Jergs, LWF head promoter steps out.) MWJ: Mr. Rude you are in no position to make demands. But I will do this for you. Tonight you will wrestle in a number one contenders match against another man who is hot after Harley Race- “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka. The winner will get the title shot. RR: I guess this is just one more hoop I have to jump through, huh? I don’t care because Race you will have to deal with me at some point and then no one will have any more excuses.
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- “Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase & Virgil vs. “Bullet” Bob & Brad Armstrong
Another debut as the Armstrongs have entered the LWF. The match was fast paced and saw VIRGIL lock in the COBRA CLUTCH on Bob. Just when things looked bleak as shaggy figure ran through the crow swinging a steel chain. He nailed both VIRGIL and ARMSTRONG and swung for DiBIASE who just narrowly escaped. It was IVAN KOLOFF! As the ring cleared, Koloff was pointing to DiBiase and making a slashing motion across his throat. Winners: DiBiase & Virgil by Disqualification @ 16:41
-1 Fall – 60 Minute Time Limit- -Contenders Match- “Ravishing” Rick Rude vs. “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka
Rude attacked before the bell sounded and didn’t let up. Snuka proved his resilience and went on the warpath. He landed a powerslam and then ascended to the top and crashed down with the SUPERFLY LEAP to win the bout and the title shot. Snuka raised his hands to the sky but was quickly beaten down by HARLEY RACE and MASKED SUPERSTAR! Race hit a PILEDRIVER on Snuka that had him clutching his neck. Before race could leave, Superstar held Rude and Race slapped him repeatedly and hit another PILEDRIVER before the Heenan family left the scene. Winner: Snuka by pinfall @ 18:45

LWF Superstars September 8, 2000 Charlotte, NC Independence Arena
VTR (Footage of the LWF World Title match between Buddy Rogers and Ric Flair.) GS: Good evening and welcome to LWF Superstars. We have quite a program for you and as you saw last week there are still plenty of contenders who are chasing BUDDY ROGERS but no one has quite caught him yet. We have an exciting program for you as NICK BOCKWINKEL will defend the LWF TV title and we will have another installment of the HOT SEAT with BILL APTER. So much to get to so let’s go to the ring.
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Steve Corino vs. George South
Corino was quick to deposit the debuting South. He landed the OLD SCHOOL EXPULSION and got the duke. He then picked up the mic and praised ARN ANDERSON and TULLY BLANCHARD and hoped that he and his partner would get another crack at them. Winner: Corino by pin @ 1:03
-In Ring Interview- (Gen. Nikita Brezhnikov, Nikolai Volkoff, and Ivan Koloff are in the ring.) NB: Ladies and gentlemen we have something to say. First, as you have all noticed, especially you DiBiase. We have a new comrade that has joined our struggle. The fans around the world know his name, “THE RUSSIAN BEAR” IVAN KOLOFF! He is yet another piece in place that will help rid the LWF of you and your greed. Second, I would like to call out a brave warrior, THE IRON SHEIK. We know that we have had fierce battles with this man in the past weeks. But, Nikolai and I implore him to come out in the spirit of reconciliation. (The Iron Sheik walks out but is hesitant to step into the ring.) Please I give you my word that you are safe. Please enter. NV: Sheik. I only want to say this. I respect you and I want our quarrel to stop. NB: Please Koshrow. You must see who the true evil is. We never had a problem with you, only with that capitalist dog DiBiase. Look what he has made you do. Turn your hands against a lifelong friend and for what---money. We beg you to see reason and shake hands in this ring. (The Iron Sheik is unsure but appears to listen. TED DIBIASE and VIRGIL arrive in to the ring.) TD: Hold on a second! I have a contract right here that says I can tell him to do what I want. So Sheik, get back here. I’ll tell you to stay out of my business. The Sheik understands one language and that’s what all people understand and that’s money. (DiBiase holds out a wad of cash.) Now, come back where you belong. (The Iron Sheik thinks about it and looks at the money and then looks at Volkoff. He then turns and embraces his friend. DiBiase is livid and doesn’t see the large figure that has snuck up behind him. It is NIKITA KOLOFF! As DiBiase and Virgil turn around they are double RUSSIAN SICKLED. Nikita then joins the men in the ring and all five shake hands.) NB: The Revolution has begun!!!!
-1 Fall – 15 Minute Time Limit- Gorgeous George (w/ Cheri Dupree) vs. Konnnan
Konnan used a variety of high impact moves to hurt the prissy George. But when he would get close to going for a cover George would roll out of the ring. The Mexican star got tired of the stall tactics and nailed his opponent with a steel chair outside the ring. The official saw this and called for the bell. Konnan beat on George some more who scampered back to the dressing room. Winner: George by Disqualification @ 12:52
-1 Fall – 30 Minute Time Limit- The Midnight Express (Stan Lane & Dennis Condrey) (w/Jim Cornette & Bobby Eaton) vs. Bob & Brad Armstrong
The Express cut the ring in half and kept Bob in trouble. They used the ROCKET LAUNCHER to finish things off. Winners: Midnight Express by pin @ 10:34
THE HOT SEAT w/ BILL APTER BA: Hello wrestling fans and I have two very special guests here today. They are the most dominant team in wrestling history and the current LWF World Tag Team champions, HAWK and ANIMAL – THE ROAD WARRIORS and gentlemen I must say you are still in charge of those belts. RWH: Well, Bill, It’s great to be here. You know--- (Hawk is cut off as THE VACHONS have hit the scene each with a chair in hand as they land chairshots to the back of each Warrior’s skull. They continue to beat to both men as they are down as LWF officials try to break things up and the camera fades.)
-LWF Television Title Match- 1 Fall – 45 Minute Time Limit- Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Bobby Heenan) © vs. “Golden Greek” Jim Londos
Londos gave the champion tons of trouble. It wasn’t until he was able to alertly move out from the turnbuckle that Londos smashed shoulder first. Bockwinkel cradled him up and hooked the tights and retained his belt. He didn’t stop there as he then landed two consecutive PILEDRIVERS on the concrete. Officials helped him and he had to be removed by stretcher. Winner: Bockwinkel by pin @ 28:27 *JIM LONDOS is out 6 cards
