I think it's unfortunate that someone is allowed to use the game to purposefully cause friction with members of the game community -- but if it's been tolerated this long I don't think there's anything you can do about it. My feelings are that joking is all fine and good -- until it comes at someone's expense and becomes unwanted. When the victim of this ribbing makes it clear that he doesn't find it amusing -- the only decent thing is to stop the ribbing. If it doesn't stop what do we have? A playground bully mentality -- one guy and his buddies singling out and preying on the new guy. It doesn't matter if 99% of the board is enjoying it -- when the victim makes it clear that he doesn't want the negative attention, it should stop.

"Splattercat", feds are governed under their own rule of parody. Some Mods agree with that, others don't...but Chris laid that out a while back. Ever since I told everyone to lay off the attacks in the TNA forum, Swarm has done that. Hell, outside of a couple of gray issues, everyone has done that.
Bottom line, I said "clean up your acts" and acts were cleaned up. Chris feels that allowing parody to exist in the fed forums can hopefully keep it from spilling over into the other forums. We are TRYING to give everyone the opportunity to act like grown-ups, because I don't think there's a mod here who has the time or energy to act as the Thought Police when all these problems could just go away if everyone would grow up and act their ages.

I know one way of solving this problem. On the Filsinger COTG and LWF pages, instead of saying The official fan-run Discussion Board! , it could just change to Un-offical fan run Discussion Board.
I don't know if anyone will agree, but at least it wont' tie into the Filsinger side of the game as much....just a thought

Swarm needs to be dealt with and Tommy does NOT have the grapefruits to do it...I already told Tommy that Swarm was an issue to this whole board...A problem to be dealt with...Get rid of him...Now...That's my problem...Tommy won't deal with him...Fact... Tafkaga, unlike most of the people acting like juveniles, has at least had the cajones to say "Hey, I'm acting like a kid and it's stupid of me to being doing that."
The fed thing, I can't touch...that rule is out of my hands...truth be told, I don't read Swarm's fed, because 1) I'm not the mod on that board, so I don't have to monitor it and 2) I'm a little behind on sets, so I'm not wanting his use of the new aCe guys to spoil it for me...
Now, if you want to throw one more unfounded accusation at me, you'll get the dubious honor of being the first person I ban from these boards.

"Splattercat" has nothing to do with any Filsinger product...Splattercat was actually a nickname for my cat back in like, 1993...had nothing to do with him being "Splatted" either, it was just sorta catchy...My E-mail address, all my message board names, my CoH character, all Splattercat...We weren't playing CotG at the time, so it had no influence on the name... Issue over and done with, I'm happy, Swarm's happy, I just wanted to clear that part up... |

Enough with the little jabs -- seriously. You're just adding wood to the fire. Everyone has the power to end this now -- all you have to do is stop posting and forget about all the little jabs thrown. No one here is worth any less to this game community than anyone else. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean we shouldn't treat each other how we would want to be treated -- with respect. Think about how you would all talk to each other if you were in the same room standing face to face -- I'm betting we'd all act a lot differently.

Splattercat is a new member as is Chang they have no affiliation with Takaga and all was a misinterpretation. Everything is cool and this thread should be deleted as it adds nothing but takes away alot from these boards. I see this as a stain on an otherwise healthy board.
