The DOCTOR WHO season finales take place this Friday and next Friday, I'm hoping we'll see Season Two sometime this year. The first part of the two parter looks solid, this has been one of the best shows right up there with Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel. Great Stuff!

BIG NEWS! I just got my first issue of the Doctor Who Magazine in today, issue #369. I will post this under the darkness of the spoiler code... Season Two we see the return of two key characters from Who's past, Sarah Jane Smith played by the original actress Elisabeth Sladen and the long missing K-9! Plus, Anthony Stewart Head will also be in Doctor Who during the time Sladen appears in the show. I'm hoping the Sci-Fi Channel picks the Second Season up! The Doctor Who Magazine is a great read so far, this is must have title... it's pricey at $7.99 US but worth it none the less.

Do you guys know if the the second season has totally new character, or just a new Doctor.
I have to say, I was less than impressed with the 1st half of "are you my Mummy?" but the 2nd part was excellent.
I was totally blown away by last episode, I thought the scene where the Doctor realized (or at least thought at that moment) that he had a hand in screw up history was really potent.
The only bad thing is leaving the TV on is sucking me in to SG-1 a bit (rassin' frassin' Sci-Fi, trying to make my head hurt having Ben Browder and Claudia Black in SG-1)

David Tennant is the new Doctor and from my readings in the DWM, he's filled in the role well. Billie Piper and the rest of the cast do return, but I'm not sure of Captain Jack Hardwick (sp?). I really liked the whole season of DW, it was a fresh show but a returning classic that can only be made in England... and that is DOCTOR WHO!

I really didn't like Capt. Jack at first, but he's growing on me... I'm very glad that Billie Piper is returning, she's awesome.
I just hope Sci-Fi does pick it up.. I've had very little luck getting a region 2 DVD player (wife LOVES british TV, and BBC america's scheduling is spotty at best)
