My wife wants a wii, A friend runs the electronics dept at wal-mart so I am hoping he can get me one soon. I have a game cube and I just bought Madden 2004 for 7$ yeah baby. I also have my atari 2600 hooked up in my laundry room bezerk and yar's revenge, now that's what I am talkin about. A joystick with 1 button.

I bought an Atari 2600 off ebay a few years back and me and my college roommates once played Yar's Revenge for almost 6 straight hours. We were wasted.  |

Walmart across the country got wii's in today at midnight. Got one. Sports package is great. Now off to find more games. Also wireless to download games. Any good titles for download

Don't think Atari is better than Nintendo.......honestly Atari and Nintendo were good for each other. Atari wouldn't have had several classic games without Nintendo. Nintendo wouldn't have become a major player without Atari.

Concerning the downloads...I have downloaded Ice Hockey, Golden Axe, Elevator Action, F Zero, Ecco the Dolphin, Donkey Kong Jr., Bonk, Galaga (love the game), Excitebike, Kid Icarus, Teenage Mutant Turtles, and the crown jewels of them all...Tecmo Bowl and Punch Out! The original Pro Wrestling is scheduled soon (hopefully this monday)...plus there are about 70 other games that I haven't even gotten yet...

No problems and most of them can use the GC anyway...except for F Zero-had to buy the Classic controller...so, to answer your question...Great! |

Yeah, we just picked up an extra 2000 points when we bought Diamond and Pearl yesterday, downloading Punch Out, Link to the Past, and Kid Icarus with them (and the 700 I already had left over) almost immediately. If we get Starman and friends next week, then that's a no-brainer purchase.
We also bought a 2 gig SD card so we don't have to use all of the Wii's memory. Yay for non-proprietary memory options this generation.

Just picked up a Wii last night. We got a check we were holding off on the purchase in anticipation of, and actually found a Wal-Mart within a 20-mile radius that had one the same day, so bonus. The kids kept seeing the commercials for them and getting excited, so we figured we'd give it a shot.
It's a blast. The kids and I have played the bowing game together, and they just loved it, and I actually worked up a sweat with the boxing game ;D I was informed that I looked like a big dork and that I was moving and punching in much more exaggerated motions than were necessary, but whatever - I've never sweat playing PlayStation, so it was cool.
As a system just for me, I'm not sure how much I'd like it. I'd ultimately probably just use it as a Virtual Console box, and I'm sure I could find an emulator to do that for free. As a family console to put in our living room, though, it's AWESOME. Very, very cool.
So quick, before the wife gets back from shopping with my Wii points: I haven't seen Pro Wrestling in the store yet. Did I just miss it? Is it coming soon?

Wow I totally forgot to say I finally got lucky and found one in a BB the other week.
I'm not online yet, but will be in a few weeks when I get my wireless hooked up.
I do have a question about he pts though for you guys. It appears you get some "rebate" points for the purchase of certain games. How does that work? Is it only for DS games and you upload or are there some Wii games as well that come packaged with points?
