KFed really is such a part of popular cutlure that I really do find it hard to believe that someone has "no idea" who he is. He is so universally acknowledged as a loser, no-talent poser wannbe that he is the opunchline of at least a dozen jokes on various TV shows literally on a daily basis. He may not be famous for anything good, but he's famous. Like Paris Hilton. I don't think it's too far fetched for someone not to know Federline, even with the overexposure he's wrangled for himself. I polled my dad on a few random people to see who he could identify as a test - he knew Hogan and Austin, had heard Federline's name but couldn't tell me a single thing about him, and had no idea who John Cena and Barack Obama (my random choice) were. My father watches TV, but nothing that would have anything about Federline on it, he reads a lot, and he doesn't listen to any radio station that would come within a thousand miles of K-Fed. He certainly doesn't live under a rock, though, so I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for someone to be unaware of Mr. Britney's existence.

OK..well i just explained two posts above that Federline wasn't helping the ratings.
I'm not defending the WWE using KFed.
I'm pointing out that there is a certain amount of logic in using a celebrity.

I understand that.
But Kfed sucks. It was a very bad decision on WWE's part. I really honestly don't see the need to bring in a celebrity anyway. But as you stated earlier, Nitro's inability to work a mic is part of the reason.
Maybe they should just let Melina keep talking.
if you can't get somebody good, just don't get anybody.

My guess is that the WWE's mentality is the one dukedave stated: any publicity is good publicity.

I have to agree with PH's comments about K-Fed being brought in with Nitro & Melina. (except about the part of Nitro's promo's being "HORRENDOUS" - I'd say around average and needs improvement) You can't expect WWE to bring in A-list celebrities. Even if they could, that could give Nitro some positive crowd reaction as opposed to negative crowd reaction that K-Fed provides.
Back to the topic of TNA. Jeff Jarrett... Aw Screw it, were already this far off topic, at least he's not champ anymore so people can stop complaining about him for the time being.

I wouldn't expect my mom or dad to know KFed either ( my mom just the other day figured out that Eli and Peyton Manning weren't the same person) but if you look at the E's targeted demographic....I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that 90% of the people in that age group know who Federline is.

Interesting points being made here. Some dumb ones as well. First off: Cena has been getting his normal face reactrions for quite a while now. Mainly since "The Marine" nonsense started. Also, as to the question why he's a part of the storyline: well, to be fair Nitro and Melina's characters have been dropping name sof their famous friends since they debuted. So having them have a famous ally makes sense in a way. Maybe the E was just wainting to do it until Nitro was ina World Title program. Also, Nitro is HORRENDOUS on a mic so in a weird way Federline cutting promos on Cena is an improvement. Don't you think Nitro and Melina could find some "better" famous friends? Whats next? Kfed in some tag team matches with Nitro? God that reaks of bad WCW angles. I totally see the tag team thing happening in the near future except it will be a 1 on 2 with Cena taking on the team of Nitro and K-Fed. I think the only way to make it worse would be to bring in Kato Kaelin to form a three man team.

Kato Kaelin? Wanna throw out a more outdated reference? How about William Hung or the guys who sang "Who let the dogs out?"

William Hung is more outdated than Kato Kaelin..? Regardless...We're talking about wrestling and throwing out names like Kato, Hung and Federline...What is wrong with this picture..?

K-Fed on Raw... We'll like I have begun to end EVERY conversation or thought on wrestling. I'll go to the DVD collection and shed a tear over what once was. TNA is missing IT...I don't know what it is but IT. The WWE is missing well I just don't have the time for that. So I am almost reduced to Watching Dancing with the Stars...HOT WOMEN...I repeat HOT WOMEN. I can thank my wife for the intro to that show. MY how I have traveled down an odd path. I guess that's what happens when you use KFed and Wrestling in the same post...you rmble like a crazy man.

1. Incognito claiming to not know who K-Fed was just about as retarded as this whole thread. Hey, I'm not retarded for not knowing who "K-fed" was. I'm retarded for now knowing who K-fed is. So he dated Brittney Spheres; I just can't bring my self to care enough to research what else he did. the personal life of celebrity's just doesn't interest me nearly as much as the life around me.

We're all retarded for knowing who K-Fed is, it is just impossible with the way the media drives him down our throat that makes it nearly impossible to know who he is. As far as my Kato Kailin reference goes I was just trying to put another person who is just famous for being famous. He was the only one I could think of other than Paris Hilton or Nicole Richie. It gets very ridiculous that who you're married to, friends with or related to can all by itself make you famous. Paris and Nicole are the ultimate examples of that. It is unfortunate that talent in some field is no longer required in order to be famous. And this trend, unless I'm missing someone, began with Kato. I, for one, am loving that this thread has gone in five million different directions. I am just disappointed that Swarm and CPB have not returned from vacation or since CPB is Canadian, holiday, to join in.

Where was the big uproar when the morons from jacka$$ were on? There were people who actually supported it because they liked those tools (why, I don't know). Trav, for someone to claim not to at least know who he is means they're either living in a bubble or can't speak English because the Ross and JR mentioned it and Cena did so in his rap. I didn't say he was retarded just the fact of claiming to not at least know who he is was retarded. You don't have to read E! to know who he is. All a person has to do is turn off the X-Box 360, get out of their mom's basement, and watch something other than cartoons and wrestling. I do agree with Splattercat, however, that it is sad people do know him. Unfortunately, I predict this won't be the last time we see Mr. Spears. I probably had already switched to MNF when JR, JL, and JC were talking, or at the very least couldn't hear them because I was saying who the heck (not the actual word) is Kevin Federline? Either I know English, or this is an incredibly improbable display of randomness. Plus, after my car is paid off I plan to take a course in either Russian or Japanese. I own my own house and have been out of my mothers basement for 13 years. the only cartoons I watch are the Simpson's and South Park. I do watch the History channel; I hart the History Channel. I don't have a 360; I have a PS2 (considering the $600 price tag of the PS3 it'll probably be the most modern system I'll ever have) I'll say I use it roughly 2-4 hrs a months (hey, it's hard to play just one song on "Guitar Hero") I know who Brittney Sphere is and that she had a kid (neither by choice), if Federlines the father I probably had heard his name before, I just didn't care enough to remember it, and still don't.
