Aww...That sucks...I had a whole bunch of starts to this post, but they all ended up bad...So now I hit Refresh and read what Pitbull said and I forgot what I was going to say altogether...
Well, there was this one bit about predictability...I don't know anyone on these boards yet, but I know some of you are already predictable to me, so calling someone predictable really carries no weight to me...Anyone with an opinion is predictable once they voice it the first time...
My opinion is similar to Pittbulls...I like wrestling...I'm a wrestling fan...Not a TNA fan, and not a WWE fan...Currently, my weapon of choice is TNA because I get more enjoyment out of watching it...If somehow TNA turns weak and WWE gets it's @$%^ together, I'll watch WWE again...I won't blindly follow what everyone else thinks is the better show, nor will I dump TNA as soon as it has a bad show and WWE has a good one...
WWE as far as I'm concerned will have to do A LOT of fixing to keep my viewing attention above"Accidental"...But I'm also a big Batista fan, so if he comes back, I'll watch Smackdown...At this point, the only thing that will make me watch Raw would be the Rock coming back...That show needs SERIOUS work in my opinion...
But, as far as their respective PPVs go, Lockdown is looking like a stronger card than Wrestlemania (which by the way, should NOT be allowed)...I'm watching Wrestlemania tonight, and it will determine whether or not I watch Raw/Smakdown for the next month...Meanwhile I will continue to watch TNA and eagerly anticipate Lockdown...
I'm not going to try to convince anyone to watch TNA INSTEAD of WWE, but I can tell you why I like it....Likewise, I'm not going to bury WWE and say I hate it...I don't...Currently it's not what I'm looking for...If something happens that sparks my interest, I'll let you know...

See, now this sounds like you know what you're talking about. People get confused about what I think about TNA. I find some of the people and matches entertaining. Splattercat sounds like he is an objective fan, and that he prefers TNA. Cool. When I read Splattercat's post, I think, hell he seems to enjoy TNA. When I read somebody else's that goes: "This is the best episode of iMPACT EVER!!!" and it is the ninth week in a row he says it, I think "Please, someone help this man."

After watching Bound for Glory 2006, the Six-Sides of Steel Match was awesome and we'll have one more at the Primetime debut of iMPACT!, but LOCKDOWN is one of the coolest concept pay-per-views in TNA Wrestling. This years Lockdown was solid, the Christian Cage title match against Abyss was the highlight for me on the whole night. Lethal Lockdown was really good, loved when Styles and Storm went to the top!

What's funny is that you responded to a thread that has been dead for months and then absolutely proved the tangent that I went off on about how it's hard to take some TNA fans seriously .
EDIT: Even more funny is how CPB in this thread spends so much time defending TNA, basically says that always focusing on the positive is what makes him a good fan, and then shortly after this JJ won the title back from Christian and for weeks CPB was hammering TNA as badly as Swarm does. ~TNA....ALIENATING ITS FANBASE FOR 4 YEARS AND COUNTING!!!~

Lockdown reminds me of steak. Steak is nice but to much can make you wish for a hot dog. It seems to take away from the "drama" of the cage. I would like to see more "death matches" in TNA. No Swarm not matches involving Kurt Angle. LOL. I would like to see Styles & Sabin from the top of the entrance way. If it is going to be a highspot fest make it the BEST high spotfest there is.

But then out of the blue, after you and EVERYONE you know told him NOT to do something, because it would be the biggest mistake of his life, he went and did it anyway..? That's how Pittbull felt...He was pissed and he made everyone know that the one/s he supported whole-heartedly had made a stupid stupid mistake and he wasn't going to sugarcoat it... I've been there...And yes, I said the same thing to my friend that Pittbull said to TNA: "You're my friend, and I want you to succeed, but I have to tell you that you're a f*****g idiot for doing that...I supported you, and you did the absolute stupidest thing you ever could have done despite my telling you that it was the absolute stupidest thing you ever could have done...So, until you get your s**t together, I want nothing to do with you..." Lesson learned...He got his s**t together, and we're friends again...

TNA is a product. Not a friend.
Like I said above (so many months ago): being an inteligent fans means you are an an inteligent consumer and if you can never even admit or discuss the negative, then it really sort of blows your credibility when you discuss the positive. This is a neutral party discussion baord, not some TNA sponsored shill site.
In short, I was only able to take CPB's opinions seriously after i saw that he was at least reasonable enough to admit that TNA made a monstrous mistake. I didn't lose respect for him as "a fan"; I thought more of him for not having his head stuck in his ass.

<---Still not sure why a great majority of TNA Mutants think that the best way to support the compoany is to never admit any of their mistakes.

TNA has had many mistakes over the years, like at BFG the start of the show had it's problems on the technical side and some of the in-ring work in the Main Event was really bad... but I still liked the overall product. TNA is not perfect and well nothing can ever be perfect in a inperfect world.
Plus, I'm not hard to get along with and I know Swarm and we are friends and we've talked many of times at G-Con and PH I'm sure your a good guy and we could have some great chats about anything... so in the end I know TNA is not perfect and not for everyone, but it is for me and I can admit to it's mistakes.

<---- Questions the heat he occasionally gets for not watching a show he doesn't like... What I gave was a parallel situation... You had high hopes for your friend, you supported him through the hard times until he made a horrendous mistake, then you said "Sorry, everyone told you it was a bad move and you went ahead with it anyway...Get your s**t together and we'll talk..."You had high hopes for the show you like, you watched it and defended it through the hard times until they made a horrendous mistake, then you said "Sorry, the writing was on the wall that it was a bad move and you went ahead with it anyway...Get your s**t together and I'll watch again..."I've done both, they're not that dissimilar.. I still don't understand that there are people who slam TNA and say they hate it and yet they still support it...That makes even less sense than the TNA Mutants thing...At least by watching it, the mutants are keeping it alive in hopes it gets better...People who watch a show that they hate and want to fail boggle my mind...

Splattercat,
The point I was making WAYYY back in this thread was that it was hard to take CPB seriously because he was a shill. His response that a good fan "focuses on the positive" and then typed several sentences with many exclamation points.
And then, TNA put the strap back on JJ and CPB went balistic.
Let me make this clear: I have never respected CPB more than when he was on these boards for several weeks venting his frustration with the company because at least I knew that when he said something positive he meant it and it wasn't just towing the company line.
Now..supporting a friend and supporting a TV show are two totally different things because if someone is your friend then there is a certain amount of loyalty they've probably earned and a good friend has probably stood by you when you screwed up. A TV show is just a TV show and nothing more. If you don't like a TV show and your response is "well F this I'm never watching again" then I would say that's the healthiest , most normal repsonse possible.
As a viewer, you don't "owe" any loyalty to any TV show or wrestling company, be it WWE or TNA or WCW or whatever. If anything, they owe it to you to deliver a decent product to keep you watching.
I haven't done anything more than flip by Raw in weeks and I only watch TNA based on the matches. Saying someone who hates a show shouldn't watch is absolutely the most normal thing in the world to me.
My feeling on TNA among some of the board members here is that (and a lot of people have said this) they watch TNA because they like the performers which makes it especially disappointing that the writing is so damned bad.

Okay, I got your Pittbull thing...but I felt you misunderstood (or I mistrepresented) my original point, so I reiterated...it's cool...But really, I have said those things that I mentioned, both to a friend and about TNA...Both turned out okay... I'm also grateful that you understand my other point about not watching a show you don't like...When the Spirit Squad won the World Titles, I was told over the course of the following week: "You shouldn't watch the show if I don't like it" then "You should watch the show, just skip the Spirit Squad parts" and finally "Not watching the show because you don';t like one thing is kinda dumb"... All this was said by the same person (I forget who)... So, we're good then...I do think I missed your point about Pittbull originally, but I got it now..
