I posted this over on Knapik's yahoo group, but I though it would be good here too...
Ok, first, a little background:
June 1st, 2006 -- Jim Cornette announces via his web site that he has been hired by TNA, and due to a new financial backer, TNA has cut a deal with Paul Heyman and ECW to bring all the ECW wrestlers under the TNA umbrella.
Cornette announced that the NWA Title and the NWA tag team Titles would be vacated, and a new national wrestling alliance would be born! There will be three territories in the new NWA. First, the majority of the existing TNA roster would be reset, and known as Midsouth Impact Wrestling. They will have two champions, the Southern Cross (formerly the X division) and the Mid South Heavyweight Title, as well as a Mid South Tag Team Title. Mid South will be headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, and travel through Georgia and the Carolinas. The Mid South will continue the TNA tradition of great high spot wrestling combined with intriguing storylines.
The promotion formerly know as ROH will be offically incorporated into the NWA, and renamed Midwest Techincal Wrestling. the MTW region will feature more wrestling, but less story development than Midsouth. the MTW will be based out of Columbus, OH and will crown a Midwest Techincal Champion, and Tag Team Techinical Champions.
ECW will be offically know as Mid-Atlantic Extreme Wrestling, and will be headquarted in Philadelphia. the MAEW will continues its hardcore tradition, feature all no DQ matches. MAEW will crown the Mid Atlantiic Extreme Champion and the Mid Atlantic Extreme Tag Team Champions.
Each region will run shows as they see fit, but will be required to crown champions before the 1st official NWA event, Clash of Champions, on Sept.1st. An announcement on rosters and events will be coming soon.
So, What do y'all think? I've been trying to think of something cool to do with all these great cards, and this is what I've come up with. I'm not much up on some of the guys, but the internet is a wonderful thing, so I think I can swing it. Stay tuned for the roster announcements (complete will some early promos) tomorrow!

Sounds really rad, man. Are you going to take people out of the TNA section and put them with the RoH guys? Modern ECW? Can't wait to see what you come up with!

To answer some of your questions, I give you to the "voice" of NWA, Jim Cornette:
June 3, 2006 - (Cornette is on the mike, with former TNA x-division champs AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Senshi, and Samoa Joe. He places the newly minted Southern Cross Title on the podium)
Cornette: I'd like to announce that the next episode of Impact! Will feature the first round of the southern Cross championship tournament, and I would like to invite the four of you to compete for this coveted belt. What do you say, gentleman?
(While AJ Styles and Senshi seem to be nodding in agreement, Christopher Daniels steps up and takes the mike. He keeps his face hooded, so that his voice seems to coming from some other plane...)
Daniels: I cannot fight here, for that (points to the belt) for the prophesy must be fufilled.
(Daniels the walks though the crowd and exits the press room)
Cornette: Joe?
Samoa Joe: I've done all I can here, I will be fighting in the greatest pure wrestling promotion in the world, Midsouth Techincal Wrestling. Once I bring the NWA World Title home to Mid-South, these old washed-up has beens that got so much time in TNA will realize the future of wrestling is... wrestling!
Cornette: I can't say I agree with Joe, but perhaps he'll prove me wrong. With that, I now show you the 1st round matches for the Southern Cross Tournament:
(a graphic comes up showing the following matches: AJ styles vs. Shark Boy, Chris Sabin Vs. Alex Shelley, Petey Williams Vs. Sonjay Dutt, and Senshi Vs. Shannon Moore... the last name was clearly a suprise, when in the back of the room Alex Shelly and "paparazzi productions took the floor)
Shelley: That's great, Jim. When are you going to announce how this man (Shelley pounds the chest of Kevin Nash, who looks a little annoyed at him) is going to defeat the "champ" at his first defense, as per his revised TNA contract.
(Cornette sighs will the room explodes in questions)
Cornette: I was strongly against that particular contract, but the NWA management felt the fans would come to see your pal get beat by the best Mid South Impact has too offer, so there you have it.
We hope to see you all at tomorrow's impact!
I hope to run the first Impact card tomorrow, with a bit more info on what's going on. Once I work through everything, I'll post the official rosters and such I'm using.

Mid South IMPACT! from the Impact Zone 6.5.06
The show open with the James Gang heading to the ring. After BG fires up the crowd with his usual antics, he takes center ring.
BG James: Welcome to the new era of the NWA! A couple days ago Samoa Joe said some very hurtful things to us, shall we say, experienced members of TNA. Well Joe, wherever you are, the James Gang have been champions of more federations that you've heard of, and we promise you that there's still plenty of gas in these tanks (mild pop) Anytime you want to get yourself a partner, we'll be here. And if you not down with that, we got three words for ya...
Kip: Wear a Shirt!
Simon Diamond leads the Diamonds in the Rough down to ringside to start the match.
James Gang vs. Diamonds in the Rough
BG James and Elix Skipper started off the match. Skipper took control, and got a near fall with New School. The Diamonds continued to work over BG until he was able to come off the ropes with his patented combo punches and tag out to Kip. A big boot to the stomach quickly too the wind out of Kip, and the Diamonds again took control. David Young hit a spinebuster, and though he had the victory, but Kip kicked out just before the referees hand hit the mat. While Yound pleaded his case, James picked him up for an impressive gorilla press, than planted him again with the Famouser (spelling changed for the filter). Young kicked out, but the James Gang smelled blood, and the tag to BG led quickly to a pump handle slam for the win.
Winner: James Gang by Pinfall
Backstage, Shannon Moore is stopped on his wat to the ring by Jeremy Borash:
Borash: Why come to Mid-South Shannon? Moore: Why? did you see the stupid gimmicks I've had to go through with "The E" and the others? I'm no punk, I'm a wrestler, and I'm here to prove it. Borash: But why here and not Mid-Atlantic, as we heard from Samoa Joe, that's were the "wrestling" is (Moore looks a bit suprised at Jeremy Borash seemingly dissing his boss) Moore: I've never wrestled that style, so I want to ease into it, and the southern Cross title is just the way to do it. (Moore storms to the ring, where Senshi is waiting)
Senshi Vs. Shannon Moore
Senshi dominated from the opening bell, flooring Moore with a series of swift kicks, and never looking back. After several near falls, Senshi locked in the Dragon Clutch, but Moore was able to struggle to the ropes. Senshi literally kicked him out of the win in frustration, and it appeared Moore was down for the count. Not content to win on a countout, Senshi went outside, where Moore nipped up and drove Senshi into the ring steps with a foward leg sweep. Moore tossed him inside and went for Bottoms Up, but Senshi was able to duck and avoid the move. Senshi regained control and finished him off with the Ghetto Stomp.
Winner by Pinfall: Senshi
AJ Styles vs. Shark Boy
Styles was clearly in a bad mood, and took it out on Shark Boy... putting him down quickly, then literally kicking Shark Boy out of the ring, to get the count out victory.
Winner by Countout: AJ Styles
Jeremy Borash tried to get a word with AJ, to see why he was so angry, but Styles shoved him across the hall. Alex Shelley and Kevin Nash were nearby, and decided the should be intereviewed.
Shelley: Hey Jeremy, you should find out what's wrong with "Mr. TNA" he seems upset. (Borash attempts to answer, but Shelley continues to talk) We just wanted to let you know that next week, your future Southern Cross champ, Kevin Nash, will be in action in his first X division match.
Alex Shelley Vs. Chris Sabin
The two men locked up, and the match started off with Shelley sending Sabin into the corner. Sabin slid through Shelley legs, and got a near fall with a small package. He followed up quickly with the Cradle Shock for the shockingly quick win. As he turned to the crowd, Shelly got back up and delivered a low blow, then signals to Kevin Nash, who proceed to demolish Sabin. Sonjay Dutt lead a group of X division wrestlers to stop the carnage, when Nash tossed Sabin into the and left through the crowd. Sabin hit the ground hard, and had to be helped to the back.
Winner by pinfall: Chris Sabin
Jeff Jarrett was wondering around back stage, demanding someone tell him what was going on with his Mid-South heavyweight Title, while Scott Steiner sent Mid South staff and furniture flying. The carnage came to an end when the pair ran into Larry Zybsko, who promised the heavyweight title situation would be resolved next week on Impact! Jarrett demanded to know how, and Zybsko just smiled and said, we'll see.
Petey Williams vs. Sonjay Dutt
Sonjay Dutt came out strong, putting Williams down with the Sonjay Cutter, then getting a near fall with the Bombay 'Rana. Williams bailed out of the ring, and Dutt was taken out by a chop block by A-1 as he did so. Coach D'Amore instructed him to toss Dutt back in. Williams slapped on the Sharpshooter for the easy victory.
Winner by Submission: Petey Williams
That's all for this Episode of Impact!
Tommorrow, Paul Heyman address the ECW faithful from the Hammerstein Ballroom, while ECW's first house show will take place!

pretty good.. two of the matches were really short, so not much to tell there. but I got a nice doubles roll for the Sabin-Nash feud, so its all good The Tag Match and the Senshi/Shannon Moore match were both really good. Incidently, Senshi has his stomp move (as both names for it) on both level 2 and level 3 offense. I wanted to bring it up in case it wasn't on purpose.

Hammerstein Ball Room 6.7.06
The arena is set up for a press conference, and Paul Heyman comes out to a huge ovation. Clearly the fans are primed for MAEW to be the true successor to ECW, and to forget Paul E.'s treatment of RVD. The ovation dying almost immediately when the Big Show entered with the newly minted Mid-Atlantic Extreme Championship belt, followed by ECW newcomers Test and Mike Knox.
Paul Heyman: Welcome back to the house of Extreme. I'm proud to announce that Mid-Atlantic Extreme Wrestling will begin its new era with a truly Extreme Champion, the seven foot monster known as the big show! Along with the two gentlemen here on stage with me, they will dominate the wrestling world as no one has since the days of the four horsemen. (Crowd boos loudly) Remember, I know what's best for Extreme wrestling, and I know what you want, just trust me. There are two announcement I'd like to make. First, there will be no more "extreme rules" matches... true Extreme wrestling has no rules. The referees will go back having just one simple function...to count 1,2,3. Second, it is with great sadness that I announce that due to his recent arrest, Sabu will be suspended indefinately. (loud boos) My sources indicate that the recent incident was totally his fault, although I have my doubts. Therefore RVD will remain here with MAEW, but WILL be treated as if he just started here. I'm sure he'll be back in the title hunt in no time (the boos turn to cheers as Tommy Dreamer leads a group of old school ECW wrestlers into the room. Dreamer has a mic)
Tommy Dreamer: Why Paul? Just tell we why? We don't have to answer to the big corporate dollars any more! We don't ever have to have those kinda of guys in the ring.. send them back to the "E" so they came get back to kissing Vince's a**, then we can go back to giving these good people what they want! (The crowd goes crazy, as Sandman raised his cane in the air. Balls Mahoney, Al Snow and CW Anderson all play to the crowd, and bask in the applause until finally Heyman responds)
Heyman: You're a good man Tommy, we've been through a lot, but your time is past... This (points to Show) is the future, and if you don't like it, maybe the "E" could use a road agent.
One more thing, I mentioned the four horsemen, well if my enforcers are going to surpass them, we need a fourth man, don't we?
(CW Anderson suddenly pulls brass knuckles out of his pants and knocks Tommy Dreamer down with a vicious shot to the back of the head. He takes Al Snow down as well while Big Show and the other enforcers charge at the ECW faithful. Things look very bad when an equalizer appears... Tazz. He quickly sheds his suit, grabs the chair he was sitting on, and starts swinging. Heyman's Riot squad outfitted security finally break up the melee, and escort Dreamer and Co. out of the arena. Show takes his place back on the podium with Heyman, while Test, Knox, and Anderson lick their wounds. Heyman straightens his tie and continues as if nothing happened)
Heyman: Later this week, our new show, Mid-Atlantic Explosion, will debut, and your champion (boos again) the big show will defend his title against the only man that can truly contest his claim to the belt, the last true ECW champ, Rhino! (huge pop) We will also crown our Extreme Tag team champions, when my Enforcers will take on true pillars of the Extreme community, the Dudleys (another huge pop). Enjoy tonight's preview.
I'll be running the first MAEW house show tonight, here's the card:
RVD vs. Stevie Richards Sandman Vs. Test Tommy Dreamer/Al Snow Vs. Paul's Enforcers (CW Anderson and Mike Knox) Raven Vs. Roadkill Tazz Vs. Kurt Angle Rhino Vs. Big Show (non-title)

MAEW House Show Hammerstein Ball Room 6.7.06
RVD def. Stevie Richards with the Van Daminator, but looked very lackluster throughout the match
Sandman def. Test with a Cane Shot.. Test used his size to control the early part of the match, but the crowd urged Sandman to get more hardcore, and he delivered!
Al Snow/Tommy Dreamer def Paul's Enforcers when Snow pinned Mike Knox after a DDT. Dreamer and Snow dominated the match, and busted CW Anderson wide open. He was totally out of action after a "head" shot by Snow, then it was all but over for Knox
Roadkill def. Raven with the Amish Bomb: Raven was furious with Paul Heyman for not welcoming HIM back to the Extreme fold, and equally furious with Tommy Dreamer for not inviting him to challenge Heyman. Right after his "What about me? What about Raven?" line, Roadkill nailed him from behind with a chair, then finished him in record time with the Amish Bomb.
Kurt Angle def Taz with the Angle Slam : Taz looked really rusty, and Angle made short work of him
Big Show def Rhino with Sidewalk slam Definately the match of the night. The high spot was Show taking the full force of a GORE!! and staying on his feet. Rhino was so shocked Show scooped him up and got the pin. After the match the crowd was throwing debris at show and chanting "ECW" until Tommy Dreamer came out with a chair. He didn't make it to BIg Show, as Paul Heyman's security sprang out of nowhere and beat Dreamer down.
On tap for tomorrow, a Mid-south house show, and a press release from MTW.

Just a little note on time... I'm thinking this is going to be a real time fed in the future, I just wanted June 1st as a starting point, since I was going back a little ways as far as real life goes... My starting point is just after King of the Mountain for TNA (my mid south) and just after Big Show won the title in ECW( my mid-atlantic) I'm planning to be up to sept. 1 on sept 1, then do 1 weekly show for each of the three territories, with house shows as I have time.
Clash of the Champions may be a quarterly event, or one of several monthly ppvs, not sure yet.

Mid South Injury Report: Chris Sabin suffered a mild concussion. In a statement released after his examination, Sabin stated that he will not take time off, as the doctor suggested, in our to not only become the 1st Southern Cross champion, but destroy Kevin Nash!
Mid South House Show Charlotte, NC 6.9.06
Shannon Moore def. A-1 by DQ when Team Canada interefered, then beat Moore down with a hockey stick
Naturals def. AMW by DQ when Gail Kim nailed Chase Stevens
Kevin Nash def. Shark Boy with Jackknife Powerbomb in a total squash
Chris Sabin/Sonjay Dutt def. Alex Shelley/Johnny Devine: Dutt quickly takes out Devine with the Hindu Press
Sting def. Scott Steiner with his Bat: Totally wild match that involved Christian Cage and Jeff Jarrett! The referee let a wild brawl go on the outside, then finally tried to separate Jarrett and Cage, and get the match back on track. Jarrett tossed Steiner his guitar, but Sting dodged it as it splintered on the ring post. Sting countered with his bat and followed with the Stinger Splash for the victory!
Abyss def. Ron Killings with the Black Hole Slam: The Truth was in control early, but he just couldn't knock the monster off his feet. A small distraction by James Mitchell was all he needed to hit the Black Hole Slam for the win.
Christian Cage def. Jeff Jarrett with the Unprettier

I'm stuck in Memphis on a totally unsuccessful business trip, so I can't post any more results until tomorrow night (I sorta *broke* the business center 'puter, so its not charging me for access, yet), but post them I shall! I have 3 MTW cards in the books, with (probably) a couple more to be played tonight.

MAEW House Show Syracuse, NY 6.9.06
Taz destroyed Mike Knox, finishing with the Tazmission
Balls Mahoney upset RVD with a Chair Shot after RVD missed a Van Daminator.
The Dudleys def, FBI in a classic tag team match after putting little Guido through a table with the 3D. The crowd was on their feet for most of the match, which saw both teams really take it to one another.
Kurt Angle def. Raven when he tapped to the Angle Lock. Angle seems more interested it talking about he future opponents, rather than Raven, which enraged him. Angle wisely took advantage and kept him on the mat for most of the match.
Test/Big Show def. Tommy Dreamer/Sandman when Sandman went down to the test drive. Dreamer was in control of Test early, while the champ sat tamely on the sidelines. When the action spilled outside, CW Anderson hit the ring and distracted Sandman enough for Show to slam him into the ring steps. Show then tossed him in for the pin

MTW Honor Cup Round 1 6.9.06
Nigel McGuinness def CM Punk with Guvnor's Crumpet.. The crowd was solidly behind McGuiness, showing Punk with "you sold out" and "kiss vince's a**" chants. The distraction was clear
Christopher Daniels def. Jay Lethal with Angel's Wings: The Fallen Angle went to the ring in complete silence, led by three men in black robes, their faces hidden. The effect was great, and Lethal seems spooked. Daniels dismantled him on his way to an easy victory.
The Briscoes def. Colt Cabana/Amazing Red: Red got decimated, but was able to make the hot tag. Cabana got a near fall on Jay and had things in hand, but Red again lost the momentum and fell to the cutthroat Special
Samoa Joe def. Kenta by DQ : Kenta totally dominated a suprised Samoa Joe. Joe got tied in the ropes in a tree of woe, and Kenta went to work with a series of kicks, when the referee called for the bell. Kenta has assumed the fight was being stopped, but instead he was furious when he was DQ'ed for not letting Joe out of the ropes.
Bryan Danielson def Delrious with Dragon Suplex
Austin Aries/Roderick Strong def. Jimmy Rave/Ricky Reyes with Rings of Saturn: Prince Nana announced he was n the midst of planning a takeover of Cuba, and decided that his takeover would apply first to wrestlers. The new team didn't work out for this card
