Brad used a pair of spinning neckbreakers to gain the advantage, and finished the Turk with a Russian Leg Sweep. When Ole could not be disarmed, Commissioner "Mister" Filsinger came to the ring with a second pair of brass knuckles, arming DiPaolo and declaring a brass knuckles match! DiPaolo would go on to regret that decision, as Ole beat him down severely. DiPaolo rallied briefly and got a few good shots in, but Anderson was too brutal and too experienced in this match, wearing down DiPaolo and busting him open badly. DiPaolo suffered an eye injury and is expected to be sidelined for 5 matches. IRON SHEIK & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) defeated THE MIDNIGHT EXPRESS (w/ JIM CORNETTE)-Iron Sheik dominated Stan Lane for the majority of this match. Sheik slapped on the camel clutch, bringing Cornette in to interfere. Cornette was clobbered by Volkoff, knocking him out of the ring! Eaton was able to tag in to the match, but fared no better and was pinned by Volkoff after a Backbreaker Drop. Cornette was injured in the fracas, and is expected to be out of action for 4 fight cards. HARLEY RACE pinned RIC FLAIR-Race and Flair went at each other in classic fashion! The match turned when Flair missed a charge to the turnbuckle, ramming his shoulder and putting himself at the mercy of the ruthless Race. Two piledrivers later, Flair was counting the lights as Race collected the victory. WORLD TITLE CONTENDERS' MATCHNICK BOCKWINKEL defeated STEVE WILLIAMS by submission-Bockwinkel put on a wrestling clinic, controlling Dr. Death and finishing him with a figure-four leglock. MAIN EVENT: TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCHKILLER KOWALSKI & DENNIS CONDREY defeated GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT & IVAN PUTSKI-Despite the loss of Cornette, the team of Condrey and Kowalski functioned together effectively. Hackenschmidt appeared out of his element in this feud match, as both Condrey and Kowalski took advantage. The match ended when Kowalski caught Hackenschmidt in the Claw Hold. When Putski attempted to intervene, he accidentally clotheslined Hackenschmidt! Kowalski threw Putski out of the ring and finished Hackenschmidt with the Claw. Following the match, Hackenschmidt and Putski had words, and nearly came to blows! The two fiery Europeans signed to face off in a grudge match of their own as Condrey and Kowalski left the ring grinning from ear to ear.

THE FLYING REDHEADS defeated THE RISING SONS-An outstanding match! The Rising Sons controlled much of the individual confrontations, but superior teaming by the Redheads kept them in the match. Bastien was in big trouble after and enzuigiri from Inoki, but managed to make a tag to Lyons. Lyons surprised Inoki with a sleeper hold, forcing him to submit! MAIN EVENT: WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFYING MATCHTHE ROCK defeated IVAN PUTSKI-The People's Champion took the measure of the fiery Pole, defeating him in short measure with the Rock Bottom. With the victory, the Rock moves on to a #1 Contenders' match, where he will face Nick Bockwinkel with a title shot on the line! After the match, Putski again found himself at the center of a controversy! The victorious Rock celebrated in the ring, taunting Putski in the process. Putski objected, and the two opponents had words! Before long, the men came to blows. Putski stunned The Rock with a series of forearm blows, then levelled him with a Polish Hammer! Putski then stomped and beat The Rock viciously until Curt Hennig came out to make the save.
