Gem City Showdown III Ervin J. Nutter Center, Dayton, Ohio GRUDGE MATCH: BOBBY EATON (w/ JIM CORNETTE) defeated YOUSSUF ISHMAELO (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) by disqualification-Eaton came out aggressively in this match against his former stablemate, taking control with an array of high-flying manuvers. After a top rope elbow earned him a near fall, Bobby came back with the sleeper and nearly but away the Turk. The Turk responded with a vicious stranglehold, which he refused to break, leading to the DQ. Turk attempted to continue his attack on Eaton after the decision, but Beautiful Bobby retaliated and chased Ishmaelo and Breznikov away from the ring with a steel chair! Breznikov vowed revenge, and it appears that nothing has been settled between these wrestlers or their rival managers. GRUDGE MATCH: OX BAKER vs. MYSTERY OPPONENT-Ox was challenged by Ted DiBiase to face a mystery opponent after wounding the Million Dollar Man with his heart punch. Although he initially refused the challenge, he was coerced into the match by DWA Commissioner Mr. Filsinger under threat of suspension. So, Baker made his way to the Nutter Center ring, where he was joined by none other than DR. DEATH STEVE WILLIAMS !!!The two roughnecks brawled all over the Nutter Center, with the match only rarely making it back to the ring. The action went back and forth, with both men doing damage and neither man backing down. The match finally got out of control when Baker slammed Williams headfirst onto the steel steps. This led referee Joe Kopasz to disqualify Baker, but the brawling didn't stop. Baker and Williams brawled all over the arena, with neither man gaining an advantage as the action spilled through the crowd and back to the locker room area. WORLD #1 CONTENDERS' MATCHRIC FLAIR (w/ SHERRI MARTEL) pinned HARLEY RACE-Flair surprised everyone in Dayton at the beginning of the match, coming to the ring accompanied by a new manager... SENSATIONAL SHERRI !!!Once the match began, Flair was dominant! The Nature Boy went directly to work on the knee of Race, torturing it with clips and knee breakers until Race could barely stand. Race fought gamely, surviving multiple pinning predicaments, but he could generate no sustained offense and Flair finished him with a pinfall after another knee clip put him down to the canvas. Flair, and Sherri, will receive a World Title Match against the winner of tonight's main event! US TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPJESSE "THE BODY" VENTURA & ADRIAN ADONIS successfully defended the titles over THE ROAD WARRIORS-A stunning victory for the champs! The Road Warriors tore through the tag ranks, and observers considered them a major threat to dethrone the champions. But Jesse the Body had other ideas, dominating the match with his own power moves. After wearing down Hawk with a bear hug, Ventura drilled him with a power slam and scored a quick pinfall victory! DWA - AGGRESSION INTERCONTINENTAL TITLEMIL MASCARAS pinned STRANGLER LEWIS-In another surprisingly one-sided bout, Mascaras overwhelmed Lewis with quickness and scientific prowess. As Lewis tired, Mascaras took to the air, crushing the Louisville native with a crossbody attack to capture the victory! Mascaras is crowned the inaugural DWA Intercontinental Champion! DWA - INTENSITY UNITED STATES CHAMPIONSHIPRIKIDOZAN successfully defended over BRUISER BRODY- US Champion Rikidozan was at the top of his game, putting aside the dangerous challenger with a series of thunderous chops! Rikidozan looks to be a formidable champion, as well as a serious threat to Johnny Valentine's World Title. Before the Main Event, a commotion arose in the backstage area! Bobby Eaton and Youssuf Ishmaelo resumed their brawl in the locker room, and the hostilities spilled out into the main arena. Eaton and Ishmaelo fought in the ring and out, Last Man Standing rules. Ishmaelo overpowered Eaton with strangleholds and Neck Wrenchers and gained a sizable advantage, leaving Eaton badly hurt. But Jim Cornette provided some timely interference, stunning his former protege the Turk with a tennis racket shot and opening the door for Eaton to rally. Eaton did his manager proud, dazzling his foe with aerial manuvers and holding his own with stinging right hands. Ishmaelo was seriously weakened and gasping for breath, prompting Eaton to smartly slap on a sleeper hold and bring the Turk to the canvas. Eaton went back to the air with a series of flying elbows and leg drops. Ishmaelo rallied briefly, but Beautiful Bobby went back to the sleeper hold against his exhausted foe. Before long, Ishmaelo was down for the ten count! (Final totals: Ishmaelo suffered 10 falls, Eaton 7). MAIN EVENT - DWA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIPJOHNNY VALENTINE pinned THE DESTROYER to retain his title!Valentine and Destroyer dueled back and forth, with neither man gaining advantage for a significant time. Then, in a flash, one mistake decided the match! Valentine shrewdly sidestepped a charging Destroyer, and the masked man crashed into the turnbuckle face first. Snake eyes, and a three-count ended the match in an instant! Johnny Valentine remains the DWA Heavyweight Champion, with Ric Flair in hot pursuit!

DWA - Intensity Card #19 Calihan Hall, Detroit July 23, 2006 Prior to the opening match, ring announcer Gumbo Malone announced that both Bobby Eaton and Youssuf Ishmaelo suffered major injuries during their brawl at Gem City Showdown III. Eaton will be sidelined three weeks, and Ishmaelo will be out five weeks. The injuries did not stop rival managers Jim Cornette and Nikita Breznikov from continuing their hostilities. Both managers stormed to the ring and a heated argument followed. A tag team grudge match was signed for Card #20 in Indianapolis, where Stan Lane and Killer Kowalski will face Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff! DENNIS CONDREY pinned JUSTIN CREDIBLE (w/Jim Cornette)-The card began with Cornette's man, Justin Credible, taking on DWA newcomer Dennis Condrey. Cornette and Condrey, recalling their past, shared a handshake prior to the match, much to the dismay of Credible, whose status in the Cornette family has been shaky. Bresnikov remained in the ring area, cheering on Condrey to defeat the Cornette member, but Dennis was not interested in the support offered by Breznikov. The match itself was anticlimactic, with Condrey scoring a convincing win with the face-first leg sweep. Cornette appeared thoughtful, as if he were trying to devise a strategy to recruit Condrey into the Family, while Breznikov was more vocal about his desire to steal away Condrey for his own purposes. Credible was largely ignored by Cornette after the match. THE FABULOUS KANGAROOS defeated THE MIDWEST MAULERS (Crusher & Baker)-Costello forced Baker to submit to the Marble Bor Leglock as the Kangaroos put forth an impressive debut. LARRY HENNIG pinned BUTCHER VACHON-After a recent losing streak, the Vachon Brothers have taken a break from tag team matches, and the Butcher has signed a singles contract. This may have been an unwise decision, as the debuting Larry Hennig made short work of the Butcher, finishing him with the Axe to earn the victory. HARLEY RACE defeated OLE ANDERSON by DQ-A rugged bout between two US Title contenders ended in a wild brawl outside the ring. Ole was disqualified for attempting to use a steel chair against Race, but Harley escaped without injury. IRON SHEIK & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV) defeated THE BRAINBUSTERS-Sheik and Volkoff pick up a victory as the Iranian KO's Arn Anderson with a sleeper! BOBO BRAZIL defeated ANTONINO ROCCA by DQ-Another US Title contenders' match ends in a wild brawl! Rocca continues on a streak of controversy, losing yet another DQ despite dominating the action throughout the match.

After suffering an injury at the hands of Harley Race, Rogers was booked in his comeback match against Race's associate, newcomer Ray Stevens. Race and Rogers will square off in a grudge match at Card 21 !! THE RISING SONS (BABA & INOKI) defeated THE ROAD WARRIORS by DQ -After being disqualified for slamming Inoki into the steel ring post, Animal lost it and attacked referee Tom Peepers! Still infuriated from the earlier fracas, Peepers put in a cell call to DWA Commissioner MR. FILSINGER, who immediately issued a 5-match suspension to Animal! BRUISER BRODY pinned RICK RUDE-Brody made quick work of his foe, hurling him outside of the ring, slamming him on the concrete floor, and pinning him with a Jumping Knee Drop. MAIN EVENT: TAG TEAM GRUDGE MATCHSWEET STAN LANE & KILLER KOWALSKI (w/ JIM CORNETTE) defeated IRON SHEIK & NIKOLAI VOLKOFF (w/ NIKITA BREZNIKOV)-Lane came out on fire for his team, quickly clearing the ring of the Iron Sheik and nailing Volkoff with a superkick. When Breznikov distracted referee Joe Kopasz, Cornette's team took advantage as Kowalski launched Lane onto Volkoff for the victory! After the decision, Kowalski was attacked by Mad Dog Vachon! Kowalski beat back the Mad Dog, much to the dismay of Breznikov as his plot to undermine Cornette was thwarted.

THE ROCK defeated IVAN KOLOFF by DQ-Rock opened with a flurry, getting control of the match from the opening bell. Koloff survived the intial onslaught and mounted a comeback, even hitting Rock with a deathjump, before he went for the steel chain and was disqualified. Rock escaped the attack and scurried away to the safety of the dressing room. KILLER KOWALSKI defeated LARRY ZBYSZKO by submission-Kowalski went on the attack from the outset and Larry Legend never got untracked. Kowalski won with the stomach claw in under five minutes! GRUDGE MATCH: HARLEY RACE pinned BUDDY ROGERS-Rogers is recently returned from being injured at the hands of Race, so passions were running high for the rematch! Race and Rogers brawled all over the arena, pulling out deathjumps and battling on the concrete floor. Rogers pulled out everything in his arsenal, but Race was unfazed and kept on the attack. Harley caught Rogers outside of the ring and delivered a piledriver on the concrete floor! Buddy was easy pickings as Race rolled him into the ring for the pinfall. But Race wasn't finished! After the decision, Ray Stevens came to the ring and attacked! Stevens held Rogers down, as Race delivered three flying knee drops! For the second time in his brief DWA run, Rogers was taken away from the ring on a stretcher as the show closed.

DEATH" STEVE WILLIAMS defeated OX BAKER by submission-Williams and Baker squared off in a rematch from Gem City Showdown III! Tensions were running high as the brawl commenced, but Dr. Death had other ideas in mind. Doc slowed the pace of the match and methodically went after the leg of Baker. After the match, a frustrated Baker pulled a Pearl Harbor job on Williams and began to beat him down, but Ted DiBiase came from the locker room to make the save!
