DWA-Aggression World Cup: Round One, Leg Two GROUP CKONNAN (1-1) defeated B. BRIAN BLAIR (1-1) by submission JIMMY SNUKA (2-0) defeated DANNY HODGE (0-2) by DQ Three of the four matches in this group have been decided by DQ or countout. Snuka leads with 4 points, but this group is wide open. Even Hodge is still alive in the quest for the final 16. GROUP DSTRANGLER LEWIS (2-0) defeated BUFF BAGWELL (0-2) by DQ BRUTUS BEEFCAKE (1-0-1) and MISSING LINK (0-1-1) battled to a Double DQ Lewis is in, Bagwell is out. Beefcake has the inside track to the second berth, although Link has a chance to tie Brutus and force a rematch of tonight's wild brawl.

(2-0) pinned HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN (1-1) COUSIN LUKE (1-1) defeated THE SANDMAN (0-2) by DQ Orton will make the final 16 along with the winner of Duggan vs. Luke in leg 3. Duggan holds the tiebreaker in the event of a draw. GROUP FGORGEOUS GEORGE (1-1) defeated KING KONG BUNDY (0-2) by submission DON LEO JONATHON (2-0) defeated THE SHEIK (1-1) by DQ Jonathon is in the final 16. George will qualify by beating Jonathon in leg 3. If George loses, Sheik will qualify by beating Bundy in leg 3.

DWA-Aggression World Cup: Round One, Leg Two GROUP GMIL MASCARAS (2-0) defeated JOHNNY VALIANT (1-1) by DQ JIM LONDOS (1-1) defeated PLAYBOY BUDDY ROSE (0-2) by submission Mascaras makes the final 16. Londos can clinch a berth by defeating Mascaras in leg 3. If Londos loses, Valiant can advance by defeating Rose. GROUP HYUKON ERIC (2-0) defeated GREG VALENTINE (1-1) by DQ MASKED SUPERSTAR (1-1) defeated CHRIS CANDIDO (2-0) by submission Lots of possible scenarios in this group. Eric has two wins by DQ for 4 points, while Valentine and Superstar have 3 apiece. Eric will advance by beating Candido, and will probably advance along with the winner of the Valentine-Superstar match even in defeat.

GROUP BTHE DESTROYER defeated JIM BRUNZELL by countout COWBOY BOB ORTON defeated SABU by DQ Sabu wins the group! Destroyer gets the #2 seed over Orton by virtue of his victory in the head-to-head matchup.

DWA - Aggression World Cup: Round of 16 THE DESTROYER defeated FRANK GOTCH by submission -The Figure-Four finished off one of the favorites! JIMMY SNUKA pinned BRUTUS BEEFCAKE -Snuka makes quick work of the surprise qualifier with a power slam. DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE pinned SABU -DDP took control from the beginning and finished the job with the Diamond Cutter. STRANGLER LEWIS defeated KONNAN by submission -It wasn't the headlock, but a Sleeper that finished Konnan in a quick decision. That's all for tonight. The rest of the round of 16 will be held soon!

DWA - Aggression World Cup: Round of 16 DON LEO JONATHAN pinned BOB ORTON, SR. -Don Leo surprises Orton with a sunset flip off the ropes. MIL MASCARAS pinned MASKED SUPERSTAR -Mascaras got control and was relentless, winning with the crossbody attack. COUSIN LUKE defeated GORGEOUS GEORGE by DQ -GodzillaJoe called it! YUKON ERIC defeated JOHNNY VALIANT by DQ -Eric was in major trouble before getting bailed out with the DQ victory! The round of 16 ends with 4 wins by top seeds and 4 wins by the #2 seeds! Beginning with the round of 8, all DQ rolls will be rolled TWICE before the DQ is declared. This will account for the desire for victory outweighing the passionate aggression of less critical matches. DWA - Aggression World Cup Final Eight DESTROYER defeated JIMMY SNUKA by submission -After surviving three Superfly leaps, the Destroyer wins it with the figure-four! STRANGLER LEWIS defeated DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE by submission -Strangler got the Headlock and wouldn't let go! After four rounds, DDP was forced to tap. MIL MASCARAS defeated DON LEO JONATHAN by submission -Mil catches a victory with his Bow and Arrow YUKON ERIC pinned COUSIN LUKE -Eric dominated from the start and finished it with a bodyblock into the turnbuckle. DWA - Aggression World Cup: The Final Four! THE DESTROYER defeated STRANGLER LEWIS by submission -An incredible match! Destroyer survived the headlock for SIX rounds, then reversed a whip to the turnbuckle to gain control. Destroyer wore down Lewis with a punishing Boston Crab and forced him to submit to the figure-4! MIL MASCARAS pinned YUKON ERIC -An exciting, back-and-forth match decided when Mascaras nailed a flying bodypress! THIRD-PLACE MATCHSTRANGLER LEWIS defeated YUKON ERIC by submission -Eric fared less well than his predecessors, submitting to the Strangler Headlock after two rounds. DWA - Aggression: World Cup Final THE DESTROYER defeated MIL MASCARAS by submissionDestroyer gained the advantage when Mascaras missed a deathjump. Attacking relentlessly, Destroyer wore down Mil and forced his submission with the figure-four! Destroyer wins the Cup, and a World Title match against Johnny Valentine at the next Gem City Showdown. DWA - Intensity Card #17 US Cellular Arena Milwaukee, Wisconsin BRUISER BRODY pinned KOKO B. WARE-A marathon match! Brody took the advantage early, but failed to put Koko away as the Birdman survived three pin attempts. Koko worked his way back into the match, earning a couple of near-falls before Brody finally finished the match with a one-hand body slam. After the match, Commissioner Mr. Filsinger entered the ring and called for a rematch! The two men are slated to square off in a Table match at a future event. CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW pinned YOUSSUF ISHMAELO-Two War Dance Kneelifts ended the match quickly, before Cornette and his crew could intervene! DAN SEVERN defeated THE ROCK by DQ-Severn had control of the match and nearly choked out The Rock, until assistance came in the form of CURT HENNIG!!! Hennig and the Rock beat down Severn, suffering a DQ loss and leaving the Beast laying in the ring! Severn had to be removed from the ring on a stretcher. NICK BOCKWINKEL & ANTONINO ROCCA defeated THE VACHONS by DQ-Bockwinkel appeared to have the Butcher wrapped up with a figure-4 when Mad Dog interfered, leading to the DQ. RICK RUDE pinned GEORGE HACKENSCHMIDT-Surprise! Rude used a sunset flip to score an upset victory over the former US Champion. THE BRAINBUSTERS defeated JESSE VENTURA and ADRIAN ADONIS by DQ (non-title)-Ventura was DQ'ed after bodyslamming Arn Anderson on the concrete floor. Bobby Heenan intervened to prevent the incident from escalating. BOBO BRAZIL pinned LARRY ZBYSZKO-Bobo ended this one quickly with a power slam. Brazil goes on to meet Ric Flair at card #18, with the winner earning a shot at the #1 contender position to the World Title. RIKIDOZAN defeated HARLEY RACE by DQ (non-title)-A stellar performance by the US Champ. Rikidozan dominated the early stages of the match, until Harley called for help... and RAY STEVENS entered the ring! Rikidozan chopped Stevens out of the ring, and continued his assault. Race was able to counter briefly, hitting a couple of piledrivers, but the Japanese star regained control. Race eventually took the action outside the ring, where Stevens attacked again and the match ended in DQ. Rikidozan was able to fend off the attack and escape without injury. Rikidozan moves on to meet the winner of the Flair-Brazil match for a shot at the World Title!

DWA - Intensity, Card #18 Gentile Center Chicago, Illinois
KILLER KOWALSKI defeated IRON MIKE DIBIASE -DiBiase was wrestling hurt, and Kowalski was without compassion, subduing his foe quickly with a stomach claw.
ANTONINO ROCCA pinned BOBBY EATON -Eaton captured the early advantage, but Rocca surprised him with a victory roll for the quick pin.
OX BAKER pinned VIRGIL -Virgil lasted longer than expected, but eventually succumbed to a massive shoulder breaker.
OLE ANDERSON defeated IRON SHEIK by DQ -Ole survived a pre-match attack by the Sheik, then engaged in a lengthy brawl which finally ended when the Iranian was DQ'ed for slamming Ole into the steel post.
THE MIDWEST MAULERS (Baker & Crusher) defeated THE DiBIASES -Ted took the entire match, trying to spare his injured father, but the Maulers wore him down and Ox pinned him after the heart punch.
DiBiase was stretchered out tof the arena!
THE ROAD WARRIORS defeated THE DANGEROUS ALLIANCE -Animal pinned Zbyszko after a missed turnbuckle lunge.
RIC FLAIR defeated BOBO BRAZIL by submission -Flair worked over Bob's knee masterfully, and put him away with the figure-4!
Flair will meet Rikidozan at Showdown III, with a world title match on the line!
