I was reading the Monday Sports page editon of USA Today yesterday at work and (I can't remember the story) but instead of someone writing "five", they wrote "fine".
Things are easily overlooked, I think Tom and co do a superb job!

I didn't even notice the mistakes on Mascaras or Hackenschmidt. It never struck me that Hacken wouldn't use a deathjump. Now I just think of it as a way that Hacken has changed his style a bit to do more damage to his opponent. Besides Gotch no other wrestler on the LWF roster wrestled Hacken. If I can play the game and imagine Hacken wrestling the Missing Link, I think I can imagine he can try a deathjump.

I have not much to add to this, other than to say that everyone involved in the Legends project really does put a lot of research and effort into each edition. While mistakes can and do happen, I'm very proud of what has been done already, and what will be produced in the future. Chad's thoughts were very well said: bottom line is we all want to produce a product that at least meets, and hopefully exceeds, promoters' expectations.
Thanks so much for all the feedback, its what makes Filsinger Games/COTG/LOW the great enterprise that it is. And to echo Chad and (I think) Tim, many exciting things are on their way in the realm of Legends!

What is the VS System that you mentioned?

I'm pretty sure Tom is talking about the line of Trading Card Games from Upper Deck Entertainment. There's a version for DC Comics and a version for Marvel Comics... and they're both compatible, which can lead to some awesome combinations.

As you can see, I'm also not giving my name, but I've been thinking a few of these things myself for awhile. I'm glad I am not alone. "Sorry about the screw-ups but hey thanks for your money" is the feeling I get from the situation. But you have to dig a little deeper here. A few years back, Tom came to a crossroads where he didn't know if he was going to continue COTG or not. I think that he thought "Fine, I'll keep doing it for the loyal promoters but I'm going to get all the money I can out of this" Shortly thereafter, the product line of FG exploded, and has done so ever since. But the truth is I really can't blame the guy. He's just a businessman trying to make a buck. You are all but saying that Tom is putting out subpar products to rip off his customers. I feel sorry for you; something has made you pretty cynical. Tom has a day job; that's where he "makes a buck". I have always gotten the impression that he does COTG and LOW out of love for the subject matter, and that he enjoys the community that has grown up around the games. Yeah, so Hackenscmidt has a deathjump on his card. Maybe he never did one; I know I was not around to see his every match and I suspect you weren't either. If he wrestled today's wrestlers (like he is in LOW), maybe he would do an off-the-turnbuckle-move. You don't like it? Invest in a bottle of white-out and change it. No big deal. This isn't a game like Strat-O-Matic where statistics are available; even won-loss record is pretty meaningless when the matches are predetermined. I like Legends of Wrestling. If it has some flaws..well that's ok. So does everyone on this board, every game ever invented..everyTHING ever invented. Allen

Looks like we can add Jim Londos to this list. Someone on the GWF Board noted he has two (ch C) options. I looked at the card and saw he also had a (ch E) on level 2 offense. Only supposed to have two "ch" moves per card, not three
This was another one of those cards that had significant revisions between the original draft and final version. I'll take the fall for the two (ch C) because I missed that when proofreading the draft from Hoffa. Level 3 move was originally (ch F) on the draft we sent to Tom.
At this stage, I'd say ignore the level 3 choice and just use "reverse toehold - 2"

Just to follow up on this, are the cards that have "mistakes" on them fixed in later printings?

I really wish Tom wouldn't change moves around unless he is sure what he is doing. The mistakes, to me, IMO, are inexcusable. In the past, they were excusable when it was a little game with his own characters. Now with real wrestlers, he needs to get it right the first time. It seems as if he is promoting himself more than the game. To me, the game is more important. Hence, constant look at me with this guy or that guy, changing the website name to "filsingergames.com" from gwf; and now a book about himself. What about the game and spending time on the quality of it. I also think the game fans let this go way too much. I just think the quality of the whole universe has gone down hill. This is all my opinion and I say it because I want a Legends with no errors done professionally. No more kidding around excuses. As you can see, I'm also not giving my name, but I've been thinking a few of these things myself for awhile. I'm glad I am not alone. "Sorry about the screw-ups but hey thanks for your money" is the feeling I get from the situation. But you have to dig a little deeper here. Was it intentional to give Yukon Eric a ropes rating of "A"? The reason I ask is that most wrestlers in the game with poor agility (Yukon's is +2) have a "C" for ropes.

Tim will probably give you an answer. I heard him say at G-con that Yukon got an A for ropes basically because in every match they watched on tape he would fire an opponent into the ropes and the guy would come back and just bounce off his chest.

Both of you don't know what the [censored] you are talking about. Any way at all to get that one post uncensored? Because if ever there existed a sentiment that needed to be uncensored, that's it...=P

The "A" Ropes for Yukon Eric was intentional - Ty basically summed it up.
Yukon would have guys running into him and they would just bounce off. This would happen both when he was the throw-er or the throw-ee.
I figured the "A" Ropes was the best way to somehow duplicate this phenomenon, even if the actual result on the chart reads differently. For example, instead of Yukon doing a sunset flip, I'd just assume the opponent got bounced, was stunned, and Yukon went for the cover.

That is what I do for results as well. I don't take what the result is literally I will actually insert a move or event that the wrestler would do instead. Helps to tell the story in the ring.

I believe I saw this posted a while back but can't remember exactly. Is Harley Race meant to have two "swinging neckbreakers" on his card? If not, which one should be replaced and with what move? Just curious.

Why doesn't my Hackenschmidt card have a deathjump?

He does, actually....his ch H. And that's actually an error...as Hack, Gotch, Londos, Lewis and their ilk tended to not do deathjumps.
