Mr. Dalton you should be happy: I incorporated a lot of judo throws into the clinch moves. Pendakar and Saboteur especially. It's all about the judo. Jimmy Pedro would dust all these guys!

will the mma pow cards have finishers ? No there will be no traditional fininshing moves (like HEAD PUNCH +2). Practically every move on the fighter's card has has the ability to finish the fight. This is because in MMA rarely do we see a move that a fighter uses over and over to great and devastating effect. Sure, Cro Cop has his left high kick and say Joe Stevenson has used his guillotine choke to win a few matches, but in the scheme of things that is really it A level-3 move can finish a fight. I honestly believe every MMA fighter has a prefered method to effectively finish a MMA fight. It just has to do with what age the MMA/NHB fight is in and who is sanctioning the fight as to whether or not when one fighter goes down-3(from said head punch-3/head punch +2) he is knocked out or overwhelmed or lets it continue.

One thing I'll be interested in is seeing what wrestlers will improve or decline under the rules. I'm not just talking about the obvious ones (the prior MMAers) but guys whose styles either really match well with MMA (Hanuman and Taurine come to mind here) and guys whose styles clash with it (Euritar, Dante, and Indigo for instance)

How are you going to do the promoter ratings for POW?
Separate ratings for promoters who are doing a wrestling fed and ratings for those doing MMA?
Should be interesting.

Strange, purely aesthetic question: I know that the POW action takes place in a ring, but is it a 4, 6, or 8-sided ring?

Rankings will be by weight class (cruiserweight, heavyweight, and super-heavy, plus women's), replacing the OFC belts.
The ring is assumed to be a standard 4-sided ring with ropes, not a cage. Pride-style, not UFC-style, in other words.

I wouldn't rank myself in 'fandom' for MMA....but even so, this whole mechanic is fascinating to me, and I'm stoked.

To me, what really helps is that it finally makes the fed distinct from the GWF which it's needed for a while now.

Through your own experiance playing with the rules do you think it accomplishes what the rules were set out to do?

Through your own experiance playing with the rules do you think it accomplishes what the rules were set out to do? I'm assuming that you mean, does it give a 'realistic', MMA-style feel to a match. If that's the case, the answer is yes. Examples- Shylock is a great striker who can knock someone out at any time. Cypher is the best grappler in the fed. We had matches that went 1 move, and others that went long. I am not as big an MMA fan as some others on this board, but I was very happy with the gameplay, and I think that others will be too.
