Craig DeGeorge and Mike Golic, play by play; Herb Abrams, promoter/ring announcer; Mike Greenberg, backstage interviews

*) The show begins with Craig and Big Mike recapping the Blackjack Brawl, including the confrontation between King Kong Brody and UWF Champion "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, who joins them at the broadcast position.

Dr. Death: "Brody, who are you? Who are you to come into the ring and ruin my moment, boy! I'll tell you who you are, you're a has been, you're time has past. This is the era of Dr. Death. You have entered my operating room and nobody, not even you, leaves without making a donation of blood! There are a lot of contenders here in the UWF, but Brody...you are at the top of my list. I'm coming for you!"

1. The Patriot p. "Cutie Pie" Louis Spicolli in a squash match.

*) Cutie Pie puts up a good fight but, the masked man who hails from 'wherever they wave the red, white and blue' ends the match with a Patriot Missile that ko's Spicolli

2. The Party of Two d. Elvira and Emma Watson

*) Elvira tries to intimidate Lacey Chabert during ref Ryan Styles' instructions with a cold stare and a slap, which Lacey responds to with a flying dropkick and a 'Party of Five star splash' that scores the shockingly quick victory over the Mistress of the Night as Emma and Jennifer Love Hewitt brawl on the arena floor, battling back to the dressing rooms as the show goes to break.

*) Back from commercial, Greeny is flanked by Elvira and Emma. Elvira: "Go ahead and enjoy your victory, girls, because it won't happen again." Emma: "Nobody makes a fool of us and gets away with it!"

3. Colonel DeBeers p. Barry "the Star of David" Horowitz

*) Post bell, DeBeers rips the house mic from Herb's hands and launches into another rant: "As I look over this country of filth and debauchery, where your heroes are mongrels like Billy Jack Haynes, or masked criminals such as this Patriot scum, too afraid to show his face, I feel it is..."
The rant is interrupted by the Patriot, who races to the ring and stands nose to nose with the South African mercenary. "I wear this mask to represent all the men and women who fight and have fought so that punks like you are free to rant like the idiot you are, DeBeers."
DeBeers puts his finger in the Patriot's face, and Patriot slaps it away. Herb Abrams gets between them and prevents a brawl by booking a match for TV next week between the two.

**) CAPTAIN LOU'S CORNER: The Cap'n's guest tonight is new UWF Womens TV Champion Shawnee Smith, who seems more enamoured with her gold belt than answering Lou's questions. After a few moments, Tobin Bell comes out and apologises to Albano, saying that Shawnee has not quite learned the rules of the game yet.

**) Back in the ring, Herb introduces Andy Kaufman, who struts to the ring with his "Womens' Wrestling Champion" sweatshirt and cardboard 'title' belt. Andy, much to Herb's dismay, issues another of his open challenges to any woman in the arena and pulls out a wad of money for the one who can beat him. While Herb tells Andy he feels that he is "disrespecting this great sport" and, in addition, interrupting the show, he does grant Andy a match against a woman who has specifically requested a match with him. Andy's over confidence fades when Lindsay Lohan rushes into the ring.

4. Lindsay Lohan p. Andy Kaufman

*)Near the end of the match, "help" arrives in the form of Paris Hilton, but she isn't as sneaky as she hoped and is grabbed by Lohan by the hair. She then delivers a big noggin knocker that leaves both Paris and Andy ko'd, and Andy pinned.

**) After another commercial (including another promo for the new UWF show, SHOWDOWN!), Craig and Big Mike are joined by Tobin Bell and Danny Glover, who comment on the controversial end of the cage match between Danny's SAW stablemate Costas Mandylor and TV Champion Griff, in which Bob Rooney appeared from under the ring and joined in a brutal beating of Mandylor. Bell: "We are not amused, Bundys. Nor do we appreciate being outplayed. Rest assured, it will not happen again."

5. Danny Glover (w/Tobin Bell) b. Todd Bridges by DQ

*) Danny kicks out of a cover near the end of the match. Todd sets up for a deathjump off the turnbuckle when Bud Bundy charges out and topples him off his perch. He then climbs thru the ropes and attacks Danny. Referee Colin Mochrie calls for the bell as Bud executes a Bundybomb on the dazed Glover. Tobin briefly disappears but returns with a baseball bat, which he uses to chase Bud out of the arena.

6. Battle Kat b. the Black Knight by DQ

*) The mysterious Knight gets the thumb from referee Billy Silverman when he comes off the top turnbuckle with a chair to Battle Kat's skull. The masked man stands menacingly over Kat as the show ends.

Abrams: "Good evening, wrestling fans, Herb Abrams here at the UWF studios alongside the Golden Greek, John Tolos, and we welcome you to UWF Showdown, featuring the best in professional wrestling, here on SportsChannel America."

Tolos: "That's right, man, the Golden Greek here, the greatest manager in the world with the greatest talent in the world as always here in the UWF."

Abrams: "Well, we won't get into your status as the greatest manager in the world, right here, John, but we will prove that the UWF is the ultimate in sports entertainment here every week, beginning tonight with our main event, which will feature the big Russians, Nikita Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff, taking on two up and comers, Tommy Angel and Corporal Kirshner."

Tolos: "That's right, Russia has always produced some of the best wrestlers in the world, and we got two of 'em right here. They will take the UWF tag team titles back from the Bruiser and the Crusher, mark my words."

Abrams: "But before that, we have lots of action, so let's get to it."


1. David Sammartino p. Spitball Patterson
*) Spitball puts up a fight and shows toughness but in the end the second generation star's raw power scores the win.

Abrams: "A great win by David Sammartino, John."

Tolos: "Yeah, but I see some flaws, just like I did when I wrestled his father, and David, believe me, you aren't your father."

Abrams: "Just how many times did you beat Bruno Sammartino, John?"

Tolos: "Listen, Abrams, just do your job and leave the wrestling to the experts, OK?"

Abrams: "We'll be right back, fans."

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Abrams: "Welcome back to UWF Showdown, folks, Herb Abrams with John Tolos here. Now, fans of the UWF know that one of the hottest feuds in the federation is that brewing between the Bundy Family and SAW, led by their devious mastermind, Tobin Bell. Earlier this week on the Fury Hour, Bud Bundy struck another blow for his side when he interefered in a match involving Danny Glover (footage of this is shown as Herb does a voice over). Bundy's "Bundybombs" didn't seriously injure Danny but they have added additional fuel to the fire that burns between them. After this match, the Bundys had this to say to Mike Greenberg."

Videotaped interview with Al, Bud, Peg, Kelly Bundy, Bob Rooney and Griff surrounding Little Mike.

Greeny: "Bud, what did you think you were doing, getting involved in Danny Glover's match?"

Al Bundy: "Now wait a minute, pipsqueak, nobody talks to my boy like that except me. Now give me that microphone and go back to your big brother Garlic..."

Greeny: "That's Golic..."

Al: "Whatever. Saw, you got what was coming to you. You come here to the UWF talking trash about me and my family, then use that psycho b****h Shawnee Smith to cheat her way to the UWF Womens TV title."

Peg: "You tell 'em, Al."

Al: "Peg, please, the men are talking. Bell, like I said before, take a look at these people around me. I deal with them every stinkin' day of my life. You think you can scare me? Think again. Whoa, Bundy!"

(Back to the studio) Abrams: "Well, I must say that the Bundys don't lack for confidence, do they?"

Tolos: "That's because they're family, Abrams. They have each other's backs, like when my brother and I were tag team champions. Like they say, blood is thicker than water."

Abrams: "And we may see a lot of blood by the time their war is over. Now, it's time to see Peg Bundy in action in the ring."

2. Kari 'the Mythbuster' Byron b. Peg "Big Red" Bundy (w/Marcy Darcy) by disq.
*) Kari is thrown through the ropes by Peg to the arena floor where Marcy chokes her. This is spotted by referee Sara Gilbert, who automatically disqualifies Peg. Marcy sweeps into the ring and argues with Gilbert, pinning her in a corner as Peg issues a beatdown of the victorious Mythbuster until additional referees enter the ring and restore order.

Tolos: "Well, Kari Byron didn't look like much of a winner did she, Abrams?"

Abrams: "That was dispicable, John, the way they manhandled the referee and unnecessarily punished Byron, and I hope UWF officials come down hard on them."

COMMERCIAL BREAK

ASK THE WRESTLER: Herb Abrams has a sitdown interview with the Patriot.

Patriot: "Herb, I have been around the world, including South Africa, and I have news for Colonel DeBeers. Your political beliefs and position on race relations mean nothing in the squared circle. The ring is a true representation of the American Dream. You have to earn success and reward in the ring, it's not handed to you, regardless of race, color or creed. The world, including South Africa, knows this and celebrates it. You, DeBeers, are the last of a thankfully dying breed, and I intend to send you back into your own little world, and away from us."

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Abrams: "Welcome back to UWF Showdown, wrestling fans. Let's get right back to the action with this next match, featuring "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff."

3. Paul Orndorff p. Rusty Brooks
*) Mr. Wonderful has no trouble with the giant from Denton, Texas and scores a quick win. After the bell, Orndorff takes the house mic.

Orndorff: "Adrian Adonis, it's not over between us. Yeah, you won our match at Blackjack Brawl, that was my mistake. But we'll meet again soon, and when we do, you will see why they call me "Mr. Wonderful".

Abrams: "Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff having some words for Adorable Adrian Adonis, there, John..."

Tolos: "What kind of a name is Adorable Adrian? What kind of a man calls himself Adorable, huh? Adonis, go back and put your dress back on, because MISTER Wonderful is coming for you, man."

Abrams: "Well, I don't think we'll see Adorable Adrian Adonis in a dress again, anytime soon, John, he's here to stay in the UWF, no matter what Mr. Wonderful might hope. Next up, it's the ladies as Rockin' Robin takes on the lady Terrorist, Palestina."

4. Rockin' Robin p. Palestina the Terrorist
*) Squash match despite Palestina's efforts to sneak in using her camel whip. Robin grabs it, uses it on her, then throws it out of the ring and proceeds to win the match.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

VIDEOTAPE PROMO: UWF Womens Champion Luna Vachon.

Luna: "It is I, Luna Vachon, the vandal of your mind. I find myself looking over the Universal Wrestling Federation and craving competition, as a vampire craves fresh blood. I have conquered Candi Devine, I have humbled Lexie Fyfe. And now, Rockin Robin dares wander into my domain? (Laughs) You are no more to me than a mouse to a python. I warn you, Robin, do not enter my world. You may not ever escape."

Tolos: "What a beautiful woman, huh, Abrams?"

Abrams: "I guess so, John, in a...well...peculiar way..."

Tolos: "Let me tell ya something, Abrams, sometimes the more peculiar the better..."

Abrams: "Anyway, let's go back to the ring where another beauty waits, Laura San Giacomo, who is facing newcomer Erin Murphy, the Mistress of Mayhem."

5. Laura San Giacomo d. Erin Murphy by submission
*)The Mistress of Mayhem is quickly overwhelmed by Laura and taps out in the Nadine Crossface.

COMMERCIAL BREAK

Abrams: "Welcome back, wrestling fans, it's time for our main event as Tommy Angel and Corporal Kirshner battle former UWF tag team champions Nikita Koloff and Nikolai Volkoff, the Russians."

6. Tommy Angel and Cpl. Kirshner d. the Russians
*)Kirshner p. Koloff as Angel takes out Volkoff with a flying body press.

Abrams: "Wow, John, a major upset here in the UWF! Angel and Kirshner now have to be considered one of the top contenders to the tag team titles."

Tolos: "Not so fast, Abrams, there's the little fact of the Blackhearts, who I'm sure would love to teach those two punks a lesson or two, and I'm sure that the Russians aren't happy either."

Abrams: "That's true, John, and I hope they meet soon either on the Fury Hour or here on Showdown. For the Golden Greek, John Tolos, this is Herb Abrams. We'll see you at the matches."
