I'm listening to the soundtrack for a video game called Jade Empire....it's all instrumental Chinese music, as the game is a fantasy Chinese role-playing game.
Nice stuff to do work to.

What's in your CD player right now? Nothing. My iPhone is currently playing some Jack Johnson - "In Between Dreams". Just listened to earlier today "Boxer" by the National and "The Life Pursuit" by Belle & Sebastian.

I'm usually on a steady dose of either Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, and Deftones when I'm driving around.

Right now, the disc changer in my car has Bruce Springsteen's Live CD from 1975, Alicia Keys' I Am, Jay-Z's American Gangster, the new Scarface CD, Skid Row's Slave to the Grind and the Best of Eric Burdon and the Animals.

Skid Row's Slave to the Grind . That is awesome! Skid Row was cool back in the day. Some of their songs still stand up today. The Slaver To The Grind album wasn't as good as their self-titled debut, but it had some cool, hard hitting tracks on there.

The last CD in my player was Talk by Yes, containing some of the usual great guitar work by the oft-maligned (at least in the circles I run in) Trevor Rabin. He gets slammed for turning Yes into more of a pop band, but I'll tell you what, he writes some catchy stuff.

"A Passage In Time" by Authority Zero and "I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me From Being The Master" by Electric Six. The latter is excellent.

The Slaver To The Grind album wasn't as good as their self-titled debut, but it had some cool, hard hitting tracks on there. Yeah, I liked their first album better, too, but I saw the video for Monkey Business the other day and had to pull it off the shelf. After listening to it off and on for the past couple days, it got me thinking that Skid Row really was a pretty damn good band.

I saw Sebastian Bach open for Guns n' Roses in December '06. He really sounded good. I actually like Slave to the Grind better than the first album, but they are both very good. I also liked that B-sides album they did, had a good cover of "Psychotherapy".

Soilwork "Natural Born Chaos"
Basically melodic death metal in the vein of In Flames with a lot more clean vocals. Not a big fan of the genre, but for some reason I really like this particular album.

Right now I've got two deftones CD's, White Pony and Saturday Night Wrist in there and a big mixed burned CD of Chevelle. I've got XM radio so I've been listening to a lot of that lately.
Oh and Kid A in the CD player at home. Been there since XMass.
