Mark that is seriously a cool job...I realize it's probably not as cool as it sounds, as there is obviously some tedium involved...but I think it's really great that books are presented like that for the sight impaired. And Pete...yeah, we're probably just idiots...but you know what they say...idiocy loves company

It is a seriously cool job. Especially considering I can work from home 4 days a week. Only trouble is the hours are long if you want to make better money.
The tedium involved comes from books like The Complete Social Security Guide (or whatever that was) with a whole bunch of charts, or reading a listing of how a thousand mutual funds performed over the past three years in Money magazine, but it's all better when you get to read the stuff you like to. There's a lot more good than bad.
And even though I'm not a teacher, both my parents are. Does that count toward the teachers vs. law enforcement count here?

We seem to have lots of police/military and teachers..... Is that because the game appeals to both our aggressive, wrasslin fan nature and our imaginative, intellectual side? Or am I just an idiot. I think both options will have supporters Can't speak for any of the others, but that's pretty close to the truth for me. Although, I'm not an overly aggressive officer, and wind up playing the good cop in a lot of scenarios because I'm extremely laid back in the majority of instances, I guess a great deal of aggression is released when I watch either wrestling or football and start throwing stuff at the TV because things are not going my way. Also, CotG appeals to me because it's so damn fun and I get an entire community of fellow addicts to check in with from time to time. Peace. ~Trav

I'm the second shift supervisor of the Convention Set-Up department of the Grove Park Inn, Resort, and Spa in lovely Asheville, NC. Or to put it in less words, I help set up tables and chairs. If Tom will pay my way, I'd gladly set up tables and chairs at G'Con!

I currently have no job, but I have worked at pretty much every major retail place imaginable (Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, Sears, you get the picture...) I may have a job soon at Blockbuster, but my fiancee and I (married soon...April 26th!!!) are looking into going into business for ourselves and opening a bakery type place. Could be fun as we're both good with food. (Anyone in the Southern California area want to offer me a job? Hahahaha)

Hey neil, I can't tell you how cool it is when I go grocery shopping and someone bags them for me. It's one of those little conveniences that can take a little stress out of someone's busy day. They probably don't show that much appreciation, as most people expect this service, but I always make a point to show my gratitude.

I always go through the lines. If I maybe have 2 things, I'll thru U scan. But my little guy loves to put things on the conveyor and then hand them to the baggers.
He always gets a kick out of helping and it makes his day. So thanks to all the guys who help bag! It makes his day!!

Hey, hooligans2, if you guys ever get that bakery place off the ground, let me know what kind of tips you can give my wife and me. In a few years, once both kids are in school, she wants to do the same kind of thing with a bakery. And since we're in Maryland, we obviously won't be any direct competition to you!
And good luck with the wedding and the job search.

If i was a postman and I delievered a COTG envelope i'd probably knock on the door and ask the person about it.
That's probably against the rules and I'd get fired though. I'd be such a bad postman.

I get a lot of positive feedback from patrons about them, too! Are they the green plastic boxes that you deliver? If so, you've probably delivered my voice to somebody at some point. But I'm not nearly the only person in the country doing this job. You've at least delivered something read by someone I work with. (This is like some weird Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game. I'd better stop now.)

Hey incognito, just wondering....have you ever delivered anything COTG related? unfortunately, no. And I do look, but to be fair I don't see much in wrestling related deliveries period. To Answer Marks question, I deliver a lot more of the green ones than the black and blue ones combined.

I work for Polaris Industries. Factory worker. I am currently working day shift building Ranger UTV's (2x4, 4x4 & 6x6). I work on the motor line, which is basically prep parts and put the parts on the motor to be installed into the machine itself! I used to work for a local Trader paper selling advertisements and helping with page setup and ad setup on the computer, among other things like dark room offset printing, delivery, paper work, you name it, I probably did it! Hey, had to use my art diploma somewhere!!!!?? But alas, had to give that up for factory work because they paid better, go figure!?!?!? I also do a lot of artwork in my free time, as most of you have probably heard from other board members, who I've done art for in the past! So between working full time and art, I have little time to play COTG, but it's still one of my favorite passtimes (other than scanning the boards and chatting with my mates here!!!!!!) Ray
