Hmm. Hockey used to be played outdoors, if I recall correctly. Now there's a sport I could never get into. Don't knock it if you haven't tried it. Just checked the MISL website and your Detroit Ignition lost in the championship to Philly. Oh, well. Another D-Town also-ran. Let's see what the (yawn) Red Wings do. (Here's comes a hate-mail from Matt!

I would have to go with Hockey. Even though I am a St.Louis Blues fan in Canada. I think I am 1 of a handful and I am now cheering for the Sens in the playoffs.
Don't even get me started on the whole NFL thing I already went 12 rounds with pretty much the entire board on another posting. What team sport has 50+ guys on a team...oh football the pansies. You want tough watch hockey. You will see player get stitched up on the bench during a game with no painkillers. They spit out teeth and go back on the ice the next shift. I think Dick Butkis was the last tough NFL'er.
Ok Swarm you can bring it...again ;D

Soccer would be more popular here in the united states if it wasn't for ladies golf and frisbee football getting better ratings all the time.

INDOOR SOCCER ? Come on soccer here is an out door sport played August to May (through the winter months) . That could be anything like rain , snow , windy etc . The only time it is possible is at Millenium stadium in Cardiff (Wales) . They have a indoor roof , but everywhere else . Put a 2nd pair on if your going to get chiller . Our sports teacher use to say "Cold ! try running about lad (with his boot aimed up your bum)" . Another training punishment (our teacher) he had you doing was sit up in muddy water .
2 Points a goal ? . Not here just 3 Points for a win 1 for a draw and 0 for a defeat . Unless its cup football then there is no points awarded . The winner just advance forward . Unless its Group stages of a cup competiton . Then its still 3 points , 1 point & 0 points .
Kaz (team) Britain v Germany ? . There is no britain team in soccer . Its spilt into 5 . England , Wales , Scotland , Northern Ireland & Republic of Ireland (or Eire) . Though FIFA (the football governing body) has tried and wanted to merge all 5 countries . With history all 5 will not get on (like England v Scotland just mention the Poll Tax / slag off the kilt (as a skirt)(As with Roddy Piper) \ Braveheart etc) . Its like Cananda & USA been asked to merge .

Soccer/football is that the "sport" were they teach you how to act like you just broke all the bones in your body until the trainer comes out and gives you some magic drink and you jump up on the field to play again.
That used to happen in the CWOSSA league in southern Ontario, they fixed that by putting in a rule that if you leave due to injury you are gone for the game, and if you go down in the last 10 minutes of the game you have to miss the next. Guess what happened, all the injuries stopped it was unbelivable. The rest of the world should follow that rule and soccer/football just might be watchable.

I like soccer the best.
The FIFA World Cup is the most widely-viewed sporting event in the world, with an estimated 1.1 billion people watching the 2002 tournament final.
It is like WWE. Maybe not the greatest, but the most widely-viewed.

Baseball has to be my choice. They play 162 in a span of 180 days. That is crazy. Also no clock makes the game not timed and can goes for hours.

It's just like tennis, you just have to play until it's over, no matter how long. But I see where you are coming from. I can see how it would be boring to some people.

There was talk a few years back about giving the pitchers a certain amount of time to throw the ball or they'd be penalized. This came about because people during the playoffs and world series were complaining about the games going too long. These are the same people who complain about the lack of home runs in baseball. These people cant be real fans and can go to hell as far as i'm concerned

A real fan is someone who loves the game and supports their team through the good and bad. I've been a philadelphia philles fan my whole life and I'm not ashamed to admit it. Its been a hard 30 + years of bad teams, trades, and managers but you have to be loyal to your team

Ive been a Padres fan my whole life, and we've had to deal with some terrible trades. Luckily the man behind the curtain in San Diego these days is one of the best in any sport. The trades he's pulled off in the past couple years almost makes up for years of trading off All-Stars for nobodies.

I'm going there sometime this summer.

Yeah Petco Park is gorgeous and theres not a bad seat in the house. I've been there several times and been everywhere from right on third base to the cheap seats and they did an awesome job with the design.

I love baseball (fan of the current world champions!)
I love basketball (NCAA; not a big fan of the modern day NBA although would be sweet to see Utah finally win it)
But futbol americano is America's passion. I'm a huge Rams fan (home of the most exciting offense ever put on a field from 1999-2002). College football is fun to watch as well.
Soccer is fun to play from time to time and will get you into shape, that's for sure. But my goodness, it's an international sport only. It'll never register with America. Way tooo boring to watch on TV. The players also come off as poor sports and sissies ala the headbutting incident (was it last year?).
Hockey, I used to enjoy, but after the NHL's strike, I've yet to come back. In Peoria, we have a minor league hockey organization where the ticket prices are reasonable and action is fun to watch. NHL became too bloated and really hasn't trimmed any.

I love when a gane goes into extra innings/peroids/quaters. It adds a new level of excitement. I watch 2 ball games go 10 and 15 innings. When they changed hockey to a shootout in regular season I didn't mind, just don't screw with the playoff format. I know during the Vancouver/Dallas series 2 of the games went into 5+ peroids and it was exciting. Then all we heard was how a 4 hour hockey game screwed up the TV schedule. American TV was calling for a change in playoff hockey to a shootout format. To that I say hell no.
