And Mackowiak is riding pine. Yay! edit: Padres just went up on the Mets! Man, the Mets lineup is SCARY. Reyes, Castillo, Wright, Beltran, Delgado, Alou... pretty sweet. Thank goodness our bats are on today. Normally they have Paul LoDuca and Shawn Green too! Cripes! Yeah, IMO, the Mets have the best lineup in all of baseball. |

Congratulations to Greg Maddux who is from my home town of Las Vegas!
By earning the victory (the 343rd of his career) tonight in the Padres defeat of the Phillies, Maddux became the first pitcher to ever win at least 10 games in 20 consecutive seasons.

Congrats, Greg! I was so happy when we got the guy. The Padres are looking good now after taking the series from the Mets and beating a good Phillies team. We're just two games back, woo! WE'RE COMIN', AZ!
