They're pretty sweet, eh? Peavy looks to be a lock for the Cy Young, Gonzalez could be MVP before it's all said and done, and they've won 8 out of 10 (and trouncing good teams in the process) to tie LA for the division lead! The NL West is going to be close than I thought!

Yeah, the Padres are really looking good. Here in Las Vegas, we get lots of Angels and Dodgers games on FOX but we also get lots of Padres games on the METRO channel. I am actually going to a Padres game against Baltimore at Petco Park in a few weeks. Although I have lived in Las Vegas since 1999 and have been to Los Angeles numerous times since then, this will be my first time in San Diego in quite awhile. Looking forward to seeing the Padres.

I really need to get an NL fantasy league team next year. I used to watch both leagues on the baseball package. However, I've been in this super in depth fantasy league the last two years and it's AL only. My AL IQ is at an all time high while my NL IQ is at an alltime low.

Padres were pretty sweet last year as well. We all know how that ended It ended with the Cardinals being the worst team in major league history to win a world championship then become one of the worst teams in the league, while a budding San Diego Padres signed Marcus Giles, Greg Maddux, and others to become the dominant force they are at the moment. Maybe I have my facts wrong

I'm calm! How could i not be being a Padres fan? You'd be a lot calmer if you lived in San Diego.

As long as Hoffman keeps getting saves for my fantasy team, the PAds are cool by me...as long as those saves aren't against the Mets!

Swarm enjoys watching the Padres. I have always kind of followed them since the 84 WS.

Swarm enjoys watching the Padres. Swarm is referring to himself in the third person. Havoc thinks that this is the final step in his evolution to becoming this board's TO.

Maybe I have my facts wrong Big deal. It's May 30. The Dodgers and Giants and even the Diamondbacks look strong in that division. Personally, I'd rather have the 2006 World Championship than a solid May 30 record but I'm starting to be convinced that some on this board approve of being second best. That's cool.

Well a real Cardinals fan would realize that they had awesome teams in 2004 and 2005 that could hang with absolutely anybody in the league. And it would be a bittersweet victory knowing that all people will remember of this decade's great St. Louis Cardinals teams is the year that the worst playoff team in major league history was able to win the World Series. Maybe you guys shouldn't have let go of Jeff Weaver and Jeff Suppan. Ha. I'm starting to be convinced that some on this board approve of being second best. That's cool. and other people are just content to take whatever they can get.
