I don't want to hear about Khalil's hammer, thank you very much.
C'mon, Padres! Get into the playoffs. Big Z demands blood!

An oversight on my part, Knapik! The Lou pics were awesome! The image of Lou as a disembodied head were fantastic.

Darn, I had really hoped the Brewers would make it. I'll congratulate BDS and the cubs by quoting Gorilla Monsoon: "Congratulations are in order; there are new NL central division champions, and they go by the name: Chicago Cubs!" Enjoy your playoffs, may it not be a short one.

Ah, poor, bitter Havoc. I'd slam you further, but I'm too busy enjoying my boys being winners and drinking Old Style to do it.

Aquinas likes math, I see.
Cubs offense > D-Backs offense Cubs manager > D-Backs manager D-Backs runs allowed this year > D-Backs runs scored this year
Cubs in four. Thank you, drive through.

Seriously, Aquinas, give it up. There's still room for you on the bandwagon.

Seriously, Aquinas, give it up. There's still room for you on the bandwagon. Never will happen. And I honestly do believe the D'Backs will win. I think they'll take the NL. And I hope former Brewer Doug Davis contributes. I've always liked him. And unlike Ben Sheets, he actually pitches for entire seasons.

Here's some math for you BDS.
Cubs 0 titles in 99 years.
Diamondbacks 1 title in nine years of existence.
Anyways, wouldn't over 100 years of futility make the lovable losers even more lovable. It definitely can't make them any bigger losers.

Blah blah hate blah blah blah yap blah blah ...
Like I said, Cubs in 4. When you look at numbers, which actually matter in baseball, the D-Backs aren't good. They're lucky. That's how you have a winning record while getting outscored for the season, by being lucky.
Four times in baseball's history has a team that got outscored in the regular season made it to the playoffs. One of those teams, the Twins, won the World Series. The other three got swept in the first round.
It wouldn't surprise me if the D-Backs win tonight. Webb is good enough to win the game by himself. I don't see them winning another game in the series, though, especially considering that the Cubs remembered how to hit in September.
Have fun hating, boys. I'll be too busy watching my team, since they're still playing baseball and all. ;D

All this is really irrelevant, since all it is determining is who gets pounded by the winner of the ineviable Sox-Yankees series If I was gonna pick an NL team, though, it'd be the Rockies.. just because it would be a great storybook ending to a crazy comeback. On topic, both the Cubs and the D-Backs limped into the playoffs, so its really a toss up, I think. The Cubs are better on paper, but they seem to be able to find a way to lose, while the D-Backs (as their run differential indicates) find a way to win.

Sickman speaks wisdom and truth. I hoist my Old Style and salute you!
A Soriano first-pitch leadoff homer tonight would be one of my all-time favorite baseball moments. ;D
