That's a devastating loss, right there. I hope your Crew fulla rookies can bounce back from this one, Aquinas.

"Who's my dawg?" Hey Lou, you're like 80, time to lose the forearm bump. What's next the fist bump.

Knapik just became my official favorite poster. Hey Lou, you're like 80, time to lose the forearm bump. What's next the fist bump. He could do a fifteen-minute secret handshake with each Cub that crosses the plate, for all I care. Lou might be the best Cub manager of my lifetime, so he can do what he wants.

Lou might be the best Cub manager of my lifetime... Up until the time his "homies" blow it and then he'll be white Dusty.

Up until the time his "homies" blow it and then he'll be white Dusty. Umm, no. Never. Come back to me when Lou says something about walks clogging the bases.

Alright, the Cubs are 2.5 games up with seven to go (eight for the Crew). If the Cubs go 6-1 or 7-0, they win the division If the Cubs go 5-2, the Crew has to go 8-0 to force a playoff If the Cubs go 4-3, the Crew has to go 7-1 to force a playoff If the Cubs happen to find a way to suck and go 3-4 the rest of the way, the Crew still has to go 6-2 to force a playoff Are you ready to concede the division yet, Aquinas?

It ain't over till a team has an x by it's name. BDS, by being a Cub fan you should know by now they can collapse at any time, against anyone, for no reason what so ever, at the worst possible time. The Brewers; they're going 7-1 the rest of the way; the Cubs 3-4.

The Cubs aren't going 3-4 against the Pirates, Marlins, and Reds. The Brewers aren't going 7-1 against the Braves, Cards, and Padres. It's just not gonna happen.

I just can't concede anything to the Cubs yet. If there's a mathematical chance for them to choke, the odds are decent that they will. If the Brewers win today and the Cubs lose....I think the Crew will pull it off. It's Verdict Sunday.

It ain't looking good. As long as the Cubs HAVE a magic number, there's still a chance for them to tank. But even a Cubs tank doesn't guarantee the Brewers will find it in themselves to start winning.

Cubs go 3-3 against the worst team in the NL and the Reds, and your Crew would STILL need to run the table just to force a one-game playoff. They're done, dude. I appreciate the Curse and all, but even if it rears its ugly head this year, I just can't see how the Cubs don't take the Central at this point.

And now for something completely different ... ESPN is reporting that A-Rod's agent and reported demon Scott Boars is in negotiations with the leading contenders for the Cubs purchase - presumably the Canning group - on a contract for Alex Rodriguez. They're floating numbers like $30 million yearly over 10 years, with part of the contract deferred as part of an ownership stake in the Cubs once A-Rod's done playing. Yes, please.
