I started out with 1 card a month, all on Deimos. Then, in early '76, the GWF did its first travelling (to Cetus and Alberbaran) for some occasional special cards. In 2078, the schedule expanded to 24 cards, with one in deimos and one somewhere else each month.(the cards that are not on deimos are simlucast there) Of these, There are two special events, which are brodcast on holovision throughout the Galaxy... One is the Man of Iron Tournament, the other is Retribution (I've decribed both above, I think)
Sometime in 2080 I changed from twice a month to every two weeks, with the same travel schedule. Morpheus has plans for a regular holovision deal, but hasn't had the time to get down and dirty with negiotations yet.

My 2074 was once was bi-weekly. Once I got to 2075 I was having so much fun that I went to a weekly show and a PPV.
Right now - GWF Tag Champs = The Mensans They are still holding strong and defeated both the FIght Club (Torin and Keller) and the Crosscurrents in a Triple Threat match at the PPV
GWF CHamp = Morpheus He beat both Blood and Blacklash in a triple threat match at the PPV. He went in after Omega gave him his shot, so Omega could fight Jack Hood. Morpheus was not winning too many matches and many fans did not think he could win, but he proved everyone wrong.
Sam is about to get his upgrade and Santon has targeted Screw. Looking forward to Cosmos debuting soon.
Later guys!

its Back! I played a couple EC cards last night (due to my CoTG ADD, see my other thread) so I thought bring this back I'm in mid-2081 currently, gearing up for my big annual event Man of Iron. Torin Caelum has announce he will retire after the event, and lis looking to go out on a positive note. KO Keller and Morpheus and feuding for the title right now (Keller as champ, despite the downgrade) while Paladin Power just took the Tag Titles from the Estorians. Those crazy Estorians are also hot and heavy with the Gamemasters (Cosmos is just comnig back from an injury) and, on the last card, picked a fight with Hechilles and Caiman, so they're not too popular. Polarity has arrived, winning two of their first three matches (the lss by DQ) so they look good. That's all for now, just wanted to bring the thread back

Quick update:
- Torin Caelum beat Omega in the Man of Iron qualifying to knock him out of the competition! There will be 7 competitors this year: Caelum, Keller, Morpheus, Sam, Mangus, Blood, and Solar Flare
-- Star Warrior and Omega brought the house down with a legendary match in from of their home planet crowd.. the son was seconds from putting his dad to sleep (omega had 7!!! tokens) but Omega's not a legend for nothing. Warrior when for a Nova Blast, and Omega go up and blasted him with a Tomahawk Thrust AS HE WAS COMING DOWN to get the win. The crows gave the two men a 10 minute standing ovation
-- Paladin Power took the tag belts from the Estorians, on to lose them back on their first defense... no word yet whether they'll be a rubber match.
-- KO Keller defeated Morpheus to retain the Title...He'll likely face Mangus next.

Just a little update... Torin Caelum easily defeated an exhausted KO Keller to win the 2081 Man of Iron tournament. Omega has offered his a title shot at Keller (much to Morpheus' dismay) to give him a chance to retire as champ, but Caelum refused. In an interview, he said he had accomplished everything he could in wrestling, and he was excited to start a school to train potential GWF legends of the future. Keller had a 5 star slobberknocker with Morpheus in the Semis (both guys had 7 tokens by the end of the 3rd fall). Should have a nice big update next week, as I'll be in Louisville. KY on business from Thurs - Sun, with not alot else to do

Dateline: Nov 2081
KO Keller has lost the Title to Omega, then re-taken it.... next up for him... Caiman... the Mangrove star is on quite a streak, and seems to be able to hit the handicapper at any time, pulling out wins from losses regularly.
The Estorians continue to reign supreme in the tag ranks, knocking off Hechilles/Caiman and Paladin Power... Defiance are currently the #1 contenders.
Omega read the riot act to the entire roster after three men were injured in after-match altercations during Retribution. Keller was not impressed, especially when Omega left the ring to help perserve the title during one of their matches (Keller took the title back in the POW match at retribution.
Meanwhile, Morpheus is deep in negiotiations with Holovid-2 for a GWF show.. word is the hang up is the network needs the show to be weekly, and Omega feels that's too much. Rumor has it Morpheus has agreed with Omega, but will do whatever else it takes to get the deal. He is currently travelling as part of his ongoing efforts, and will not be wrestling for a while.
Meanwhile, Solar Flare has been on a nice singles run, and may get a shot at the title after Caiman. Moonstrike was doing even better, but he was one of the guys hurt at Retribution
On the other side, Mighty Grogan has been in a huge slump, and has fallen out of the top ten, losing to Sin, Solar Flare, and Mimic in succession.
That's all for now... three more left in 2081!

Dateline: April 2082 With the Beginning of 2082 brings the GWF's first Holovid deal! The schedule will continue to be a card every two weeks, but all cards will now air live on GWF Superstars. (the alternate weeks will feature "Clash of the Titans" from Dimension X, if I ever play it again) In Addition, Man of Iron and Retribution will be PPV events, the GWF's first! In the ring, Omega has a sold hold on the title. KO Keller remains the #1 contender, but has lost his last two matches to the champ. In perhaps the most interesting development, Mangus has ended his partnership with Morpheus, citing Morpheus recent poor performance (many say he's lost a step due to the rigors of negotiating the holovid deal) as the reason. Morpheus, perhaps as a slap, or perhaps just seeking a new partner, has asked Commander Sam to join him in a run at the tag team champs, Defiance. Sam has cautiously agreed. Since their split, Mangus has won three straight matches and moved into the top 5 in the rankings. Defiance is ruling the roost in the tag ranks, after a volatile feud with the Estorians landed Parsec out of action. After failing in a couple oppertunities at the Estorians, Hechilles and Caiman are once again chasing the gold. Whispers of being a choker are beginning to follow Hechilles, who has never picked up gold, despite 6 chances (4 with Caiman, and 2 for the Galaxian Title) Moonstrike is back from his injury, but has struggled. Meanwhile, Salvation and Tantalis both has nice singles runs while their respective partners were hurt... Salvation winning 5 of 6 matches, and Tantalis 3 in a row. Man of Iron for 2082 qualifying is about to start... Group A: Omega, Keller, Jammer, Sin. Group B: Hechilles, Caiman, Star Warrior, Blood. Group C; Morpheus, Mangus, Salvation, Solar Flare Group D: Moonstrike, Sam, Cosmos, Grogan That's all for now.. got my last(and longest) trip of the year starting tommorrow (10 days) so my next update will be then, and could be a doosy
