Heh heh heh ... there's a stickied thread on that page I sent you called "Comic Book Heroes A-Z." That should cover pretty much anything you could bust out from Clix - even that absurd Galactus they released.

If they make more expansions, i will be so all over this game. Those modded cards look good.

It's a really cool forum, actually. Along with those bootleg characters they have suggestions and props for terrain etc...maybe the best suggestion is the use of the Spider Man Mega Blocks sets for the game.
Lotsa cool ideas...definitely gonna pick this up along with a whole bunch of DC HeroClix.

It's going to be two sets of five characters (probably about $15 per). The characters will be: Sandman Human Torch The Thing Doctor Octopus Super Skrull The Punisher Invisible Girl Bullseye Beast Black Panther

If you're not all that interested in the Marvel guys, PH, you'd probably be best off just getting one of the standard Heroscape boxed sets. You get a LOT more terrain, and a bunch of figs you could use as cronies for your heroes to squash.

The little "S" on the bottom of the custom cards means they have super strength and they only take falling damage from the insta-kill height. It also has an affect when attacking destructable objects (like castle doors and warehouse walls), but you won't get any of those in the Master Set. That's really the only rule you'd be missing out on there.

They'll have them at some point, I'm sure. They'll have the eighth wave of expansion by the end of this year, and I'd imagine they'll have a similar release schedule for Marvel Heroscape.

Yeah, but Beast?
That is almost as bad as putting The Sack as a villian.
(okay maybe not THAT bad, but...)

It's not a Clix game, so it's lacking the clickity mechanic thing, but it makes up for it by giving you a bunch of modular terrain pieces and letting you put your terrain together like a big lego set. That's way cooler than clicking in my book any day. Pfft. The newer Clix figs are also impossible to click. I don't play that game at all, but some guys at my FLGS do and I saw them playing with the latest Avengers set recently. You'd think that WizKids would check to see if the game's central mechanic even worked on the new molds, but hey.

Just piced up regular Heroscape to give it a try thanks to you guys. I want the Marvel version eventually, but as a starter set you couldn't beat the regular masterset (even for 10 dollars more). That said, I liked it and I'm itching for the next time I head to town to either get the Marvel set or some expansions.

I got to play MarvelScape with my nephew and his gf last weekend. First game was a battle royal everyone for themselves, we each got three Marvel figs, Venom was left out. The last two standing were Thanos and Iron Man. Thanos won. Second game it was me and Missy against Shawn and we kicked his butt.
It was fun, easy to play and the games didn't take too long either. We used some HeroScape figures with the Marvel ones in the second game.
