I saw the Marvel game at the FLGS tonight. Was not overly impressed by the included characters: Cap America/Red Skull, Iron Man/Doom, Hulk/Abomination, Surfer/Thanos, and Spidey/Venom. Maybe once some X-Men are available...

hey, BDS
Marvel Heroscape
or Marvel Heroes (Fantasy Flight)

Me personally (not sure who NDS is, but I think I can answer since I have Heroscape and Marvel Heroes by Fantasy Flights).....
Probably would go along with Marvel Heroscape for ease of play.
But total enjoyment....I would take Marvel Heroes.
Heroscape plays like a battle.....and I would assume that Marvel Heroscape would be the same way.
Marvel Heroes, on the other hand, plays like you are in the comic book. Villains will show up to fight the heroes, and then there is always the Masterminds to deal with.
Marvel Heroes doesn't take much time to set up for a session (once you have played it a couple of times), but I wouldl assume that Marvel Heroscape would take at least almost as much time as Heroscape does. And that can take some time.
Time to play....for Marvel Heroes, that really depends on the scenario. Some scenarios will take much longer due to the objectives to complete...not to mention how many players there would be at the table.
Marvel Heroscape....again....basing it off of Heroscape, not all that long (probably not nearly as long as Marvel Heroes does). But, again, most of the time needed would for setting up the game (board) area.
But, if i had to choose....I would take Marvel Heroes.

hey, BDS Marvel Heroscape or Marvel Heroes (Fantasy Flight) in terms of ease to play, time and overall enjoyment, which is better? Ease of Play: Heroscape wins here hands down. It's not that Marvel Heroes is overly complicated, but Heroscape's rules are very, very simple to follow. Time: It takes longer to play an actual game of Marvel Heroes - about 60-90 minutes, where your typical game of Heroscape isn't going to take that long. It takes a lot of time to build a Heroscape board, though, and while that's really fun, it does add to the time. If you've got the space to build a nice board and leave it set up for Heroscape, that's you're best bet. Overall Enjoyment: They're really both fun in different ways. I think the actual gameplay of Marvel Heroes is a little more entertaining than it is in Heroscape. Heroscape adds to the gameplay with all of the fun of putting together the different maps to fight on, though, and there's a lot more variety in it, too, with all of the different terrain types and units out there you could get to go with the Marvel guys. The trick is that if you don't have anyone else to play with, Heroscape stinks - there's not much you can do with it alone. Marvel Heroes, though, even though it doesn't expressly tell you how to do this in the rules, lends itself very well to solo play - Holli doesn't like superheroes, so I basically play it one-player and let the kids roll the dice. The boy likes to make Hulk Smash.

Are there any DC related board game similar to these?
TBH, I haven't been interested in anything Marvel does since the mid 90s.
I can get Heroscape and modify it for DC HeroClix pieces, but I'm shocked DC doesn't have something like this..or if they do I've just never seen it.

Marvel tends to take the lead with this kinda stuff... remember, Marvel is its own company, while DC is part or Time Warner... the really keep it for the movie rights (for a business standpoint)
I'd guess if the Marvel ones sell well, you'll see DC ones down the road

Are there any DC related board game similar to these? No, DC doesn't have anything like this that I've seen. There are all kinds of DC bootlegs for Heroscape, though, and I'm sure that with Marvelscape actually being out on the market now, we'll see even more. Like this one ... And like Wildfire said, I wouldn't be surprised to see them do a similar set for DC at some point down the road the way both sides got into Clix.

They will probably make it compatible, like Heroclix, as well.

Alright, I finally found one of these locally and picked it up today. It's a very good pickup for $30. The models all look pretty good, and while the Marvel characters are ridiculously powerful compared to standard Heroscape stuff, they seem to be valued accordingly.
The one thing I will say is that there's not NEARLY enough terrain in the box. You're going to get a lot more out of the purchase of the Marvel box by grabbing a Heroscape master set to go with it, just because of the extra terrain included. The squads of disposable minions to be squashed is nice, too.
Although watch out for the guy on the dinosaur. He'll still eat the Hulk the same as he eats everyone else.

But will the Hulk eat him from the inside out?

No, he just kind of Chomped the Hulk, burped, and then moved on. It was not good at all.
Now, had the Hulk been injured beforehand and gotten angry, the fight would probably have ended differently.

wait- does the game have a mechanic where if the Hulk gets hurt, he is stronger Yep. The Hulk gets stronger as he gets hurt. He also has the ability to leap ridiculous distances across the board, and he's got a special attack where he stomps the ground and causes a little mini earthquake. Abomination is exactly the same as Hulk in almost every way - he just doesn't get stronger as he gets hurt.

well, i bit the bullet and picked this up yesterday after work.
Not bad. My only real complaint is the fact that there's not much terrain.
But the figures all look good.

OK..where did you find this? ? Here. I told you they had a metric buttload of customs, PH. This is something like Heroclix ? It's something like it, in that you've got the little figures that you move around. It's not a Clix game, so it's lacking the clickity mechanic thing, but it makes up for it by giving you a bunch of modular terrain pieces and letting you put your terrain together like a big lego set. That's way cooler than clicking in my book any day.
