Just curious...any other poker players on the board? I play online frequently, as well as in our home game, not to mention two trips to Vegas over the summer.

I play home games but not online or at casinos. I don't like losing $ that much.

I dont play as much as I would like. I used to play online before the government pushed that BS law through. That law has had no effect on me being able to play online. All it does is restrict depositing money into your account. And I didn't play at Party Poker, so I've seen no effect at all.

I love playing poker, but I am mostly into playing at home games. Occassionally I will play in a casino, but I don't like it as much without the friendly banter. I'd love to do a Hold'em tourney at G-con this year. Maybe a Friday or Saturday night activity.

Just what I was thinking, TM.
Of course, my 4-year-old can sometimes beat me at Hold'em...

We'd have plenty of time Friday night at the Holiday Inn to hold a tournament while we wait for our food....I think I finally got served 2 hours after ordering last year, no lie. But seriously, it would be a cool idea.

I am also a poker player. I used to play online but I don't really have the time to anymore. When my friends and I go up to a friends cabin we usually get a good 3-4 games in throughout the weekend.

Just what I was thinking, TM. Of course, my 4-year-old can sometimes beat me at Hold'em... OK, Mark you are definately in. Just make sure you wear a sign that says dead money. BTW, in thinking of ideas for new Filsinger Games products, I was thinking about creating a set of custom playing cards for COTG characters. Have Wolf as the Ace of Spades, Mad Jester as a Joker, Exo King as a King of Diamonds, Killer Queen and Phantasy as Queens, JOD as...well Jack of Diamonds, etc. I think it would be a cool item, but I am not sure if it would be profitable enough to pursue.

Play lots of poker out here as well. I host a bi-weekly friday night game with about 12-14 others and we play hold 'em tournament style where depending on how many show up we pay out the top 25% finishers.
Of course being the stat/tournament junkie that i am, i keep stats on all competitors based on positions finished, appearanced, and who you knocked out. I then hold the tournies in "seasons". Meaning that every 12 games is a season and the top 6 money earners for the that season are invited to a special higher stakes invitational that is winner take all. We're just about done with our 4th season only 2 more games to go and we don't look like we're slowing down going into season 5.

Agreed. That is a cool idea. For a while we kept "points" based on what place you finished in. Once you hit 100 points, you got a free buy-in. I like your idea better.

Yeah, I'd certainly buy this. About poker, I play. But I spend most of my time in casinos at the sports book.
