IGN.com has a nice listing of the WWE roster available for the new Smackdown vs. RAW 2007 game for the Playstation 2. You can view the list, as well as other gaming info at ps2.ign.com/articles/730/730396p1.htmlCOMMENTS THE ROSTER LOOKS GOOD BUT I wish the McMahons were usable as wrestlers as well I got both 2005+2006 and I thought 2005 was better even though the newer one did have some good new features

Thanks Jim.
I like 2006, but the original SvR had one of the dumbest AI's that I've ever seen. I'll probably wait a couple of months before I decide to get it.
Take care,
Jay

I will be picking up 2007. But I think the best WWE game for the PS2 just for its roster was Here Comes the Pain.

Hope the new game has more storylines then 2006 and chances for title shots and stuff Well here is the official roster for 2007 Batista -Jillian Hall- Rey Mysterio The Big Show -Joey Mercury- Ric Flair Bobby Lashley -John Cena- Rob Van Dam The Boogeyman -Johnny Nitro -Shawn Michaels Booker T- Kane- Shelton Benjamin Candice Michelle- Ken Kennedy- Snitsky Carlito- Kid Kash- Super Crazy Chavo Guerrero- Kurt Angle- Torrie Wilson Chris Benoit- Lance Cade- Trevor Murdoch Chris Masters- Lita- Triple H Daivari- Mark Henry- Trish Stratus Edge- Matt Hardy -Umaga Finlay -Melina -The Undertaker The Great Khali- Mickie James- Viscera Gregory Helms- Paul Burchill- Vito Hardcore Holly- Psicosis- William Regal JBL -Randy Orton And from the sounds of things we will see a better season mode and the ability to move guys from brand to brand. Also the ability to stack multiple tables is very cool. Also be able to lean ladders against other ladders to run up them. And The Money in the Bank match has been added. No news on the Legends yet.

My son just got 2007 and he has 2006 as well. I have only played once and its ok to me. I miss the old days of wrestling like the arcade game Royal Rumble. If they make it so you can have more than 4 or 6 guys in the ring at one time then I will pick it up for myself and actually play it.

I'll put this game on my Christmas list. I have played every game and loved each one. Here comes the pain was great. The one's since then seem to miss something. One thing missing from all of them is a tag-team or 2 player carreer mode. My buddy and I always do the "create a character" thing and we can only play tag-team matches in exhibition mode. While it's fun, it would be really cool to play season mode 2 player.

I hope this roster makes it in tact to the PSP version. RVS 2006 is the main reason I still play my PSP. Interesting that none of the Spirit Squad guys made the roster.

Well I think the roster was pretty much set and who would want to waste roster space on the Spirit Squad? I hope they don't pull that garbage they did with Jake the snake in the last one. I don't like that kind of gimmick marketing to get people to buy a PSP. So now I have pretty much everything unlocked however no Jake the Snake cause I don't have a PSP. Would have been nice had they put in some time code so after a certain amount of months he just became available to purchase.

I'd rather have a couple of members of the Spirit Squad then Great Kali or Viscera. But that's just me.

At least Khali will be able to wrestle in the game... ;D
You know what I miss..? The very first Smackdown game on the PS1 allowed for up to 4 players to use Created Wrestlers in a multiplayer season mode...THAT was awesome...it's a shame they won't (can't..?) go back to that....

www.svr2007.com, the official site for the game, has a poll up right now asking "who is your favorite WWE Legend"? The list of choices strikes me as a pretty likely list of legends for the game: Hulk Hogan Junk Yard Dog George "The Animal" Steele Dusty Rhodes Eddie Guerrero Bret "Hit Man" Hart Jake "The Snake" Roberts Andre The Giant Sgt. Slaughter Jimmy "Supafly" Snuka "Rowdy" Roddy Piper Incidentally, Eddie is winning the poll with more then 50% of the votes.

i'd like to see (non-polka dot) Rhodes or Roberts as Legends for 07, just to get some "new blood" in there.

Would have been nice had they put in some time code so after a certain amount of months he just became available to purchase. Personally, I would have love to have the spirit squad... But that's okay that you don't like the gimmick. That's a topic for another thread. As far as Jake the Snake goes... I found this off cheats.ign.com Unlock Jake The Snake No-PSP Method Complete the first year of general manager mode, draft Jake the Snake Roberts in the second year as one of your three picks. He will then be unlocked in the game, without the need for a PSP or a costly cheat device. (Unverified) Submitted by M. Wormer (Outrider) I haven't tried it yet. If you do it before I do, PM me to let me know if it works. Otherwise, I'll PM you. You know what I miss..? The very first Smackdown game on the PS1 allowed for up to 4 players to use Created Wrestlers in a multiplayer season mode...THAT was awesome...it's a shame they won't (can't..?) go back to that.... Agreed. That was a cool game. My brother owned that game for ps1 and I use to play it all the time. He actually created 2 characters off a bootleg set. (Can't remember which one) I created a couple of characters myself. I can only remember one. I made a combination of Power and roughneck character and he wore the Jason hockey mask.

I will have to try this Diamond. I am almost through the first year in GM mode. So hopefully this is correct. Otherwise THQ does this again in 2007 they are getting an email from me!
