Yeah, they could mess this up. But then, they could get it right, and then

I was looking at this as well and I am really interested. I really hope they hit the mark with this one!

Here's the official website for the game. There's already a ton of stuff here, and the game looks great. Even the packaging for the game is awesome. www.marvelultimatealliance.com/

Turkish, the first box on the pre-order screen is the PS2 version of the game. As I understand it, this bad boy will be available across all platforms.

Hm...I thought it was supposed to just be the new generation (Wii, 360, PS3)

Hm...I thought it was supposed to just be the new generation (Wii, 360, PS3) Tommy, all systems are listed in your original posting on this game (top of the thread). I would assume that there will be a few differences (not all 140 Marvel characters make the cut or less than 20 are playable) on the current-gen software.

I just want to play as Cap, Thor and a few of the Avengers.
As a matter of fact if they made a game exactly X Men Legends II starring the Avengers, I would be as happy as a pig in the mud.

Turkish, if you get a PS3 (and I realize that's one BIG if) or an XBOX 360, we can hook up online as the Avengers. At this point, I know Cap, Thor, Spidey and Wolverine are all playable (NOTE: As a fan of the 70's, 80's and 90's Avengers, I cringe at the mention of Spidey and Wolverine as Avengers, but what can you do?), and we may see Hawkeye, Vision or Ironman.
Keep in mind that next year brings the release of MARVEL UNIVERSE: a massively multi-player online game that will feature 200-plus Marvel heroes and villains - ALL PLAYABLE.

Alas, the PS3 has to be able to do cartwheels or help pay the water bill if I am going to consider getting it. The Price ticket is just not worth it, especaily with the additional mouth to feed.
If, however by some act of the Lord, I do get a PS3, I will most certainly accept your offer!
Thanks, 'sYde

At this point, I'll just hold out for the Wii...which is looking like a Must-Buy at the moment.

I hate the name, but I do think I will be getting the Wii at some point. Next up though is a DS.

It is confirmed...Ultimate Alliance is a Marvel-wide Legends-style game, which means I am SO there...especially since I've started playing the original X-Men Legends again.

X-Men Legends shouldn't be more than $20, and Legends II is now $20 (next on my list)...Legends is VERY fun...'specially if you're an X-Men fan.
