the exact opposite. :-) I think Senshi/Loki is incredible as far as talent goes and Austin Starr is like one of the brightest spots on TNA.
IMO of course! :-) I am sorry you and Suzanne find them boring though!

We (me and Suzanne) both find Senshi & Austin Starr just boring . What does everyone else think ? I find Senshi to be even less interesting to watch than CM Punk (which is saying something if you know my Punk thoughts). Senshi brings nothing to the table other than a stupid looking scowl. Don't worry, he's known for doing stupid things so it won't be long before he stupids his way out of TNA. I find Starr to be good but not great. On the other hand I think Alex Shelley is awesome but it just seems that all he ever gets is garbage comedy pushes instead of actual X division title contention pushes.

Senshi is awesome he reminds me of bat boy from the cover of the Enquirer...
Austin Star looks like a gay 80's jobber imo.

I like both guys. Starr has some great over-the-top flamboyance, and is one of the more amusing characters over there. Better than the God-awful garbage that Eric Young has become.
Senshi is great in the ring, and I like that solemn warrior thing. It's a nice contrast to the cocky little sh*ts in the X Division.

I don't like senshi either, his ring work is pretty good, but he's go no personality whatsever. He does have some great RoH matches (early in RoH's history) but they way TNA is using him is silly, IMO.
Austin Starr is the man! He has a very versitale style, and is a decent promo guy.. I don't really like his TNA gimmick though.
BTW, I agree they could use Alex Shelley WAY better... when he was in Generation Next in RoH he was a great cocky heel.

Senshi is awesome he reminds me of bat boy from the cover of the Enquirer... Austin Star looks like a gay 80's jobber imo. WEEKLY WORLD NEWS! The Enquirer is the one with Angelina Jolie on the cover every week. Man, if you're going to insult bat boy like that at least get the magazine right! But seriously, I'm not impressed with either guy. Senshi is one of those guys who thinks he's a legit bad*** but doesn't have the guts to try MMA. So he just hits and kicks willing targets in a worked environment. Austin Aries/Starr is the better of the two. He understands the entertainment aspects of wrestling, but he's just too hammy and overmannered with some of his stuff. The Jesse Ventura starter kit has to go too. Every time I see him all I can think of is a little Jesse Ventura from 1983. I'm in the the exact opposite camp than aquinas on Eric Young, by the way. He's got a good gimmick going and I think he's way more entertaining than he used to be.

Senshi is amazing, Austin Aries is one of the best in the business right now. Look + charisma + in-ring ability = awesome.

I was thinking he was much more like Randy Savage right down to the dark hair. I'm not impressed with him.
Senshi just bothers me. He's also an ok wrestler, but that stalking walk has got to go. It makes me think he's had an accident in his trunks.

I do find Starr to be boring. Senshi is decent in the ring, not much for him outside it.

Senshi is decent in the ring, not much for him outside it.[/quote If you want to really see what both men are capable of, there is a large body of work in another fed whose fifth birthday is today. Hell, Low Ki (Senshi) was in the main event of that first card five years ago today that tore the house down in Philly. And Austin Aries (Starr) is quite possibly the best wrestler not named Bryan Danielson in the United States when the shackles are off. TNA is not the best place to get an accurate sense of what these wrestlers are capable of. A certain "Honorable" company on the other hand...

If they did they would probably be stuck in a great gimmick like two porn stars or 50s greasers. Notice I said a company with Honor, not a factory that produces dated wrestling concepts that are borderline offensive.

Plus, they are not 250 pound bodybuilders, so Vince couldn't get off on them like he seems to with many of his current employees. ;D

You're the only one that thinks that though. ROH is a bunch of skinny kids who don't don't jack about what it takes to be over in pro wres. I serously am baffled for your distate of the WWE when millions of other people love it so much. I'm just glad I don't have the same feelings...
I could never live with myself if 150lb. kids playing around on a trampoline in front of 40 people got me off. I don't get it.

Stick with me here, but I think that it is very significant when some one can gain favor with a more discerning, hardcore (not the light tube hardcore mind you) group of fans than with the more casual audience you seem to focus on.
And you should really watch some ROH, you never know, you might become a fan of two wrestling companies instead of just one. I posted a link to this in another thread, but I will attach it here as well. It is just a highlight video of some of ROH's talent doing a bunch of highspots, but it is designed as a quick intro. If you like it, you should check out some DVDs as well.
Enjoy!

Another thread where ROH is so much better than WWE?
Somebody call me when ROH gets a monday night time slot and is watched by millions every week.
I am not saying that the WWE is amazing quality...I am not saying that ROH is quality..I am just saying that if ROH were so fantastic in the eyes of television producers..they would have the media share that the WWE does.

The "eyes of television producers" would significantly alter the product. No more long, well developed matches for one instance. Plus, Gabe Sapolsky saw what TV deals can do to a company when he worked in ECW (the original).
If you watched ROH you would understand how the product is not conducive to a traditional TV format. This doesn't make it inferior or superior, just different. And in some people's eyes, this is not a bad thing at all.
