Well lets see talking about TNA on this board is like explaining to a baby that dumping in the diaper is bad. What's the point all you get is a bunch of crap for your efforts. Before you retreat to the deuce could you please explain to me how exactley a baby dumping in their diaper is bad? It's a baby. Where is it supposed to dump? Do you have a baby? Do you yell at your baby child for crapping it's diaper? Is that how you came up with this ewt? seriously.

Payback will jump in and post something that in the end is only equal to "I agree with Swarm." You will say Payback's post was "Strong." I agree with Swarm.

Splattercat that was hilarious. No shame in being part of TGFITG and bringing joy to thousands...
besides, being a salamander for one or two fight cards is much more honorable than being a full-time fish.
Peace.

True, Splattercat - you have always stood behind what you say and I think everyone respects you for it. We may not agree with your opinion, but we still respect it.
Oh wait, I mean........
I agree with Swarm.

I'm glad Splattercat is still here. Truthfully, I wish the fans of TNA who choose not to post here any longer were still around, as well.
I know this may be a ridiculous notion to some, but I don't get why people would only want to discuss a topic with people who feel roughly the same as they do about the topic. I could be wrong, but I thought part of the fun in discussing things like wrestling, sports and politics is talking to people that don't agree with you.
Granted not every TNA fan that used to post here is as big a shill of for TNA as the guy who posts ads for each week and then raves over the quality of the VKM skits and talks about how funny the Pogo Stick challenge is, but most of them don't ask that guy relevant questions like whether he has stock in TNA or if he is really just trying to convince himself how good Impact is each week, either.
I also have grown tired of hearing the reasoning for their leaving as the constant negativity expressed by board members about the product. Look at the Deuce's WWE forum. Repeated bashing of the product with nothing more to say than "WWE sucks!" or "WWE is dying!" or "The company will go out of business when Vince dies!"
My favorite thing is when the TNA shill shows up in the same WWE thread three times to announce how he doesn't watch WWE and explain how it is not his "cup of tea" so he chooses not to watch it. He goes on to tell how bad the product is and how it has sucked for years, but, he explains, he is not going to blast anybody for liking it.
I could be wrong, but didn't this guy leave here because he got tired of every time he went on the stump for TNA somebody said it sucked? Isn't that somewhat hypocritical?
So, here is what I have determined to be true. If I was to join the Deuce, which is not a bad thing as there a lot of cool people who post there, and start a thread bashing WWE that is cool. It would be a thread that would get a lot of "Hell yeah!" responses proclaiming the end of Vince's reign as king of the business.
On the other hand, if I started one saying how bad TNA sucks and legitimately explained, in-depth, every fault I see with product it puts out, I would be called a troll. My thread would be imediately locked and/or deleted and I would probably be suspended or kicked off the board altogether.
I'm all for praising something when it's good and for criticizing something when it's bad. Hell, if you think someone is a blind follower of something, I'm all for expressing that, too. Believe it or not, saying someone is a blind loyalist to a wrestling promotion isn't exactly the same as saying his mother is a third-rate, heroin-shooting lady of the evening.
My reason for posting this is basically to express the feeling of amazement that I have that the COTG community has become so divided over a second-rate wrestling promotion.
It is completely stupid that people have taken the criticism of this promotion as such a personal afront.
I have been a Shawn Michaels fan for nearly twenty years and a Duke basketball fan for as long as I have been watching sports, and I don't get bent out of shape when I hear people running one or both of them down. It is stunning that people who have been watching a wrestling show for about a year can be that insanely passionate about it that their feelings are hurt when someone says it's a terrible show.
This whole situation has taken away my desire to play COTG, a game that has been a part of my life for 17 years.
I wasn't serious with that last line. Just wanted to see if a bunch of people would plead with me to come back.

And because I do, certain people now dislike me. I'd like to post on the other board, but don't feel welcome there. Some of my buddies have jumped ship to the other board and I should probably give the Deuce another shot. Everything you said is right on. WWE bashing goes on on that board in the same way TNA bashing goes on on this board. Thats why the whole board split never made sense to me and you've said it better then I ever could.

I agree with you guys too, for the most part, discussion where one person makes a point and ten others say "Yeah, that's right" isn't all that exciting.
there is alot of WWE bashing on the Deuce, but where there ISN'T is anyone saying "You suck if you like WWE".. which is what alot of the TNA threads were degenerating into.
I think they way things are is really pretty good for everyone ATM, hopefully it will stay that way.

I would like to see one quoted post where someone here said someone else "sucked" as a person for liking TNA.
That seems to be their argument, and I think it's 100% inaccurate.

Perhaps not that exactly, but you can't deny that you've been banned for personal attacks before? You and Pit Bull missed THREAD totally, IIRC. I'm not gonna start posting quotes for people to indivually defend or attack, since that will just lead to problems. I actually went looking a bit, and, except for the one thread that lead to said banning, there's not alot else in the TNA board that was really bad, but it doesn't take much for some people.
