Tonight is Genesis. Pretty much an amalgamation of TNA's worst attributes. Bad, hot-shot booking. It's a depressing scene, really. The imprudent Russo threw a card together at the last moment and I really don't care. I'm hoping Kurt has one last "great" one in him but I seriously doubt it. Prediction for the match tonight is about ***1/4-***1/2.
So, discuss the #2 wrestling promotion in America.

I'm hoping for a good show. AMW vs. LAX and Joe vs. Angle should be great matches, and I'm looking forward to Styles vs. Cage and Daniels vs. Sabin, too. That's more matches than I usually look forward to on a TNA PPV, so I've got high hopes.

Interesting that the"one and only" thread appears to also be the "highly biased" thread. Oh well.
I think we're going to have a great show tonight. I like most of the match-ups, and Angle/Joe can't be any worse than Angle/Mark Henry from this time last year.
I also think that NOTHING tonight will make the "TNA sucks" brigade like it more or the "TNA rules" gang like it less.
Ahh, the ever growing divide of brand favoritism gives hope that one day the debate will be important enough to merit two federations going at it again. That's when wrestling truly succeeds.

Abyss won the TNA Title by Disqualification? Is this really happening or did I smoke way too much weed and pass out and I'm dreaming this?
this can't be real...not even real life TNA could be this fucked up..
wake up...wake up...

Here is a direct quote from a girl here watching the angle-joe match...
"...I don't understand why this big fat guy is supposed to be so great. He should wear stuff that covers him more like Abyss does."
-Jen, casual female fan.
hilarious!

Joe taps to the ankle lock. so TNA's best guy is a guy who can't beat not even the best guy in the WWE who is on his last leg and has little Creeper arms.
what a waste of a first loss. he never even had the belt.
oh well. bad PPV.
really bad.
thank God for WWE.

Maybe Vince hired Russo to go in and fuck up TNA the way he did WCW so he can kill TNA and bury it like he did WCW?
that's the only explanation I can come up with here...

I'm not even gonna go match-by-match because I've never been so dissapointed with a pay-per-view.
They just screwed up Samoa Joe. A man you spend OVER A YEAR BUILDING. Abyss wins the title via DQ and LAX gets the titles stripped? Man, I've been watching you guys since WEEK 1. WEEK ONE. Tonight was it for me. You not only screwed up your potentially biggest draw but you screwed up EVERYTHING you have been building.
F*** you, Vince Russo. Go straight to hell.
And please can we refrain from Samoa Joe trolling tonight? It's not adding to the thread in any way. Until there's a compliant with some subtance about Joe, please, just don't make any at all.
Thanks.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say Umaga, the only undefeated Samoan in wrestling today, never submitted to Kurt Angle.

1.) The booking for this PPV was rancid.
2.) This thread can only end in tragedy.

1.) The booking for this PPV was rancid. 2.) This thread can only end in tragedy. BDS, are you a TNA fan? I didn't bother getting this PPV, and going by what Swarm says, this was an absolutely horrible, astonishingly bad PPV. He might be a little biased though lol. It does sound mind-numbingly bad though. So, are there any TNA fans here that enjoyed the show? Were there any strong points?

oh yeah and btw on the same night the TNA title changed hands on a DQ, the TNA Tag Team Champions LAX were stripped of the belts for saying they were going to burn the flag...
I can't make this [censored] up.

Mostly, yeah. There's a lot I don't like (James Gang, Jeff Jarrett), but for the most part I like the product. Tonight's PPV, the last two matches in particular, stunk up the joint.
