I'm on the boards, so I might as well pop in for a sec. The show was great. Monster's Ball was good for what it was, the Senshi/Sabin match was great, and the rest of the undercard did its job. The main event was passable until the end - the no-sold guitar shot was one of the highlights of the evening for me, and it was a perfect way for Jarrett to fade into the background. The symbolism of the weapon that he won so many matches with failing to beat Sting will work real well to close up this portion of his career if that is, in fact, what they end up doing. The cage match just stole the show, though. Styles and Daniels put in an awesome performance, and have really elevated the Tag Titles during their run at the top of the division (told ya, PH . LAX is one of the best acts going in wrestling right now, bar none. Konnan's stock has gone up huge in my eyes in the role he's currently filling, and Homicide and Hernandez can really go in the ring. The only thing missing from this match was LAX's awesome custom intro. Oh, and Joe and Angle are going to tear the effing house down. If that match can't pop a buyrate, then they just need to blow it up because nothing ever will for them. From top to bottom this was a solid, solid show - much better than last month's. I really, really hope that TNA continues down this path, because this is exactly the kind of programming that they need.

Looks like I'm in the minority here, but I wasn't too happy with the show.
Don West needs to be fired. He is one of the worst announcers of all-time. You'd think he would've improved in 4 years, but apparently not. I love the idea of Nash replacing him. Ratings would probably double just because West would be gone. West also needs some fashion counseling. I don't know if there was supposed to be some Halloween tie-in with his outfit, but man, was it bad. I feel sorry for Tenay.
Cage vs. Rhino. I didn't care about this match at all, and it wasn't that good to boot. Christian doesn't come across as the vicious type. He should be playing a comedic heel. Plus, when did Rhino become Superman? How many chairshots did that guy kick out of? Unbelievable, in a bad way.
Monster's Ball didn't do it for me. Probably because I spent most of the match staring at Raven and wondering WTF happened to this guy.
Angle vs. Joe buildup was good. It'll be interesting to see how long TNA will drag this out. If they do it too soon, they could pass up the opportunity for more exposure, but if they wait too long, the current fanbase will lose interest.
Sting was half-a**ing it, plain and simple. The no-sell guitar shot was just silly. I'm glad he won though, and Angle taking out the ref was hilarious.
On the flip side, Sabin vs. Senshi stole the show for me. Big fan of both these guys, and they delivered.
Tag title match was also awesome. I hate Konnan with a passion, but am starting to like Homicide & Hernandez. Hernandez looks like he could be a decent singles guy down the road.
My main beef with the show was the cameramen were screwing up from top to bottom. Many key moves were only caught right after they'd been executed. Thank God for the replays after each match.
I feel as if it wasn't completely worth the money I spent. I say 6/10.

Monster's Ball didn't do it for me. Probably because I spent most of the match staring at Raven and wondering WTF happened to this guy. Raven has a some thyroid and blood sugar disease so he's way out of shape. As for the PPV I enjoyed every match except Sting/JJ. I agree with BigBri that Sting looked halfa**ed. It made the whole match look like 2 rookies in a mainevent, Angle saved this match from "boring" chants by slamming thr ref. I did like the no sell guitar shot, but Sting shouldn't be doing the flex afterwards as he looks a little small and flaby in his old age. I hope Stings title run is short and JJ is ready to let someone else take the ball. Rahl

Yeah, Raven's thyroid condition makes it almost impossible for him to lose weight. He can still go though. His match with Jeff Jarrett back in May was quite good.

Small? Okay. Flabby? Nope. I still think the crowd was confused with the booking more than anything...Jarrett dominating Sting in the opening minutes, to Sting taking a powder. And the crowd definitely popped for the flex after the guitarshot, so it couldn't have been too bad of an idea. I thoroughly enjoyed that PPV...top to bottom more than any PPV in the last several years. The big questions are: Is Sting vs Cage and Angle vs Joe going to be in November? And if so, how in the heck is TNA going to book that one in a satisfactory manner?

How can you comment on Sting's appearance when he was in great shape last night. When West said he dropped 20 lbs. for this I could easily believe it.

You know in the end lastnights show really had it all, I was glued to my seat throughout most of the show... I'am glad that Sting won the NWA World Title from Jarrett and things are really looking good for this promotion in the months to come.
I'am really looking to see CAGE versus STING, Cage should hand the Stinger a loss and Cage regains the title.
SOLID SHOW LASTNIGHT!

If you're a long-time Sting mark (and I am) I would think one would appreciate the no-sell and flex; it was sort of a throwback to his blonde Stinger days and he used to do it a lot, especially in the middle of some heel's "nefarious assault." I can remember literally dozens of times where Flair would be laying in his WHOOOO chops where Sting would just stand there and no-sell and then flex.
Maybe if you're not *that* familiar with Sting it wasn't as effective. i also thought he looked pretty good last night.

I could see Cage beating Sting and Joe vs Angle fgoing to some no-decision first time around. And then in true TNA form we get some nowhere feud for a month or so leading to a Cage-Joe-Angle match, where Angle beats Cage. And then after that, we 'll get some lead up into a FINAL match between Joe and Angle where Joe will FINALLY get his belt by beating Angle.

I think my favorite Sting no sell was against Hogan the Nitro after Starcade in 97. Though this one was great and Jarrett's cowering reaction was the perfect reaction too. Though I think Sting should've hit a few Stinger Splashes before slapping on the Scorpion Deathlock.

I also just rewatched the battle royal and Nash had some great lines throughout. Best of which was "at least I got the right one legged wrestler." when Zach Gowen came out.

The big questions are: Is Sting vs Cage and Angle vs Joe going to be in November? And if so, how in the heck is TNA going to book that one in a satisfactory manner? I'd say the most likely November main event is either a) Jarrett, Angle, and Cage vs. Rhino, Sting, and Joe in a 6 man tag or b) LAX vs. Daniels & Styles round 5 (Full Metal Mayhem perhaps?). I just don’t see them express tracking the Joe/Angle singles match. All in all, I think the only disappointing thing about BfG was Tracy Brooks being Roode’s manager. Big “Whatever” moment there.

STING! That was a killer no-sell, I'am glad that Sting won the belt and this is a great sendoff for this great legend. I remember seeing Sting for the first time on Saturday's at 6:05, Sting had me hooked and he has too be one of the greats in the biz.

Wait! I just had a thought for the November main event. LAX Vs. Team 3D Vs. Daniels & Styles Vs. The James Gang Vs. AMW Vs. The Naturals. . . KINGS OF THE MOUNTAIN MATCH!!!

Tracy Brooks being Bobby Roode's manager.

I like the sounds of that. Traci Brooks as Roode's manager is a good thing, they just need to work on Robert's Mic skills.

It seems kinda obvious that AMW vs LAX is about to happen...what with the killing of Gail Kim and all. What I'm not clear on is how they're going to reconcile LAX as champs, feuding with AMW as losers, unless they're just trying to build a match for the two hour primetime Impact.

Well, considering they've had top contender four ways at the last two PPVs...
..TNA's stong point has never been cohesive storytelling. If they can just allow LAX to continue to put on strong matches (regardless of how they explain who the top contenders are) and the Impact Zone Mutants can allow them to get over as true heels, the tag division will be a strongpoint fo the foreseeable future.
