I might be the minority on this, but i enjoyed last nights Impact.
I dont care about the Naturals and Shane Douglas. And who is this Maverick Matt guy? The fans were really behind him and I've never heard of the guy. Should I know who he is?
The Nash Eye Spy bit was mildly amusing. Especially that whole two sided ring in Madigascar line. Their over the top descriptions of the moves being used was entertaining as well.
And that damn finisher that LAX used on Styles..what the hell was that..a Gory Guerrero Special? It looks downright brutal. I thought for a second Styles neck might of been broken.
Rhino in a squash. Then a match with Samoa Joe next week. I think Rhino might snap Joe's streak. It's a long shot but I'm interested in seeing what goes down.
And the main event, I won't lie. It was pretty good. I think Lethal carried the match a bit. He kept the tempo up and made Jerrett look pretty decent. Sting coming out at the end was predicatble.
Overall, not a bad 1 hour of wrestling.

I enjoyed it also....
one thing that TNA has going for it...actual tag teams (or so it seems)
Their tag teams "fit" with each other....and I enjoy good tag team matches....the Naturals vs. whoever those two guys were...I liked that match...good stuff.
I also enjoy Daniels and Styles as Tag Team Champs....
Their tag team division is really what interests me.
I hate Rhino....never cared for him....at all...I have never really seen Samoa Joe wrestle...only clips...but what I have seen of him, I like.
The Lethal-Jarret match was good.....in fact...it *almost* reminded me of the Sting-Flair match from the first Clash....I know that Sting and Flair were heads and shoulders above these two guys....but, a young up-and-comer in Sting took Flair to the limit....and Lethal really put on a great match vs. Jarrett....
Just my thoughts...

Him and Kazarian were a good tag team on par with the Naturals before Kazarian went to WWE. Am I the only one that is confused by the fact that Kasarian asked for his WWE release because they wanted him to cut his hair and then he gets his release and then he still cuts his hair anyway. Man, he looks different but I do like the new look. Also, why have Joe get involved in a feud with Rhino. Everyone knows he won't lose and this undercuts Rhino who (although I think he's useless) TNA is trying to push.

Only been watching TNA since they've been on Spike. When they were on FSN during that afternoon spot I rarely caught any of their shows and when they were doing that weekly PPV thing I basically ignored them.
So for the most part I'm a newbie to NWA/TNA wrestling.
On a side note, If I recall correctly, didn't TNA used to have 10 minute time limits on all their matches? I remember seeing that when I would catch them on FSN and I would think to myself.."What the hell?"

It was not a bad show, I enjoyed it and I too was confused with the Rhyno/Joe feud now? They build him up with programs with the top teir guys and then have him feud with Rhino? Don't get it? Will have to see how this one unfolds in the weeks to come.

Yes they used to have time limits and actually would have the championship committee vote on a winner if it went to the time limit. Championship matches had a 30 minute time limit I think. Matt Bentley, AKA Michael Shane is also Shawn Michaels cousin.

Sounds a lot like ROH. Another company I wish would get on national TV. Or at the very least get syndicated so I could regularly watch their stuff.

I liked it also, Kazarian and Shane(Bentley) were a great Tag team (pre spike TV days.) Homicide finisher looks great, it's called the Cop Killa in ROH. Lax vs Styles and Daniels should be some sweet matches. I'm not a big Rhino fan either, but He seems more intense lately. The main event was pretty damn good, Lethal put on a great match. Overall nice hour of wrestling. I'm actually looking forward to each wrestling program this coming week so thats cool also. By programs i mean (RAW, ECW, and Impact)

Man, he looks different but I do like the new look. The hair wasn't the major issue. Apparently Kazarian was upset because after working almost two months straight where he was being used as The Future and putting on great matches for Velocity he went up to a Smackdown writer and asked when he's be put in a cruiserwieght title match and the guy didn't even know who he was. He was misused. OH..and Death Match Kid: that finisher is called the Cop Killah.

Also, it was poorly booked show. Joe/Rhino makes no sense. The Dudleys are leaving for no apparent reason. Just puzzling. The two non-squashes were OK.

The Cop Killah was previously used by "Sugar" Shane Helms in WCW as the Vertebreaker...Man that guy's had a LOT of finishers in his career...

I thought this was a best episode in TNA in a while, but there were definate issues.
I agree with however said it that I don't care about the Naturals, but it was a good match.
Totally agree that Rhyno/Joe makes no sense... Unless they're going to REALLY push Rhyno, and have him break the streak.. which could definately happen.. Joe has lost, what 4 in a row now (all crazy multi-guy matches).. the streak doesn't mean as much with a lot of "except that doesn't count because he didn't get pinned) type deals.
Great match in the main event, even if the outcome was obvious... This was the first time I watched Lethal and didn't say to myself "why is this guy on camera"
The Dudleys thing is odd, but hopefully it'll go somewhere.
What I did like about the booking is that they didn't try to squeeze every guy in the roster on the show.. that was a nice change, and the show flowed better because of it.
Unfortunately, no amount of decent TV is going to change the horrible main event for the next PPV.. my only hope is that this is the LAST time Jarrett is in the main event...

Whenever I complain about Jarrett, LWPD shjows up to remind me of the truth behind TNA';s financial acking and the fact that JJ is a "necessary evil" for the company. I usually read it and then immediately vow to never watch again. Here's a taste:
LWPD (first and foremost the primary goal of TNA has always been to allow Jeff Jarrett to make a comfortable living by collecting nice payouts as a talent working at the top of the card...with the payouts conveniently being distributed by the 'true believers' JJ has convinced to fund this money pit operation...it's actually one of the richest traditions in the business but rarely pulled off on this scale...there's no other _REAL_ or logical reason for the company to exist...the 'one day we'll build a balance sheet like WWE' bill of goods pipe dream JJ sold money marks like HealthSouth Corp and Panda to the tune of 8 figures of red ink has always been just a means to the real end...what many fans who complain about Jarrett don't realize is that an alternative approach without him there to stroke belief in the 'impossible dream'...would likelt see a swift closing of shop because the project has never made sense financially...and 'as is' never will)

0.8 rating, which is down from last week's 0.9, which is down from the week before. Not a good sign especially when Spiketv was considering a second hour.

Thought the show had quality matches, but i'll be honest, i'm a TNA fan but they really do need to put more work in their storylines....As for the Dudley's, and Floyd or one of the other posters who follows international wrestling can correct me, i think they left cause they still had some contractula obligations in Japan to fullfill(for HUSTLE), plus i thought there was a big thing about Devon injuring his shoulder 2 months ago against the NAO. and the cop killah is called the Gringo Killah in TNA(i don't know, that's what Tenay called it)

This can't be good news, especially with Spike able to look at ECW's ratings as a comparison. Maybe this will spark some sort of change in the company. I know they've taped next week's show already, but I'll be interested to see what they do at the next tapings if things don't turn around.

Really bad sign, conmsider ECW at 11 PM did a 2.1.
I'd also like to throw out there that the downward trend started after JJ won the belt again. The ratings had sort of leveled of at the 1.3-1.4 mark, then as soon as they announced that JJ was keeping the belt and that the PPV main event was another 4-Way, they dipped.
Sort of sandbags the theory that Jarrett is a "great heel."

OH..and Death Match Kid: that finisher is called the Cop Killah. The move made me cringe when I saw it. It just looked plain brutal. The the first time in quite a while that I've saw a spot or move that made me actually "pop" from the living room. The last time being after Awesome hit the Awesome Bomb on Tanaka and then dove to the floor at ONS 1. And to a lesser extent that sick DDT Sabu gave to Mysterio through the table.

Since Jarrett won the belt, I have contributed to their ratings drop...(hm, that sounds odd for some reason)...I haven't really been that interested in TNA mostly because they're like a little kid that you tell not to touch the hot kettle because it will hurt them...Naturally they touch it...In this case, replace the kid with TNA and "touching the hot kettle" with "putting the belt back on Jeff Jarrett...The rest of the simile speaks for itself....
In other words, I can't stand it when everyone tells someone not to do something because it will be VERY VERY BAD!!! and they do it anyway....Kinda makes me lose interest in supporting that someone....
