Currently TNA has the Heavyweight, Tag Team, and X-Division belts in their federation. Should they add a fourth belt? With all of the smaller guys they have they could add a crusier weight belt. Or, have a belt similar to the Intercontinental or US titles. The X-Division belt is more of a hardcore title, I think.

Maybe so... something for the undercard to have fun with. But the roster is pretty small...

Or, have a belt similar to the Intercontinental or US titles. The X-Division belt is more of a hardcore title, I think. This idea is complete garbage. Seriously, bollocks to this. First off, the X Division is supposed to be for the cruisers. All the cruisers are already going for the X belt. It's not really a harcore belt, so much as its a high-spots belt. If you look at the history of the X-Title every guy who's held it has been a true cruiserweight except for Samo Joe. Plus, if TNA wants to push the X-Division as what sets them apart form other companies, then it has to be seen as prestigious; the X Title is their secondary belt. Their best wokers are in the X division. Cahnging that would be stupid. Secondly, how would you add another title for a company that barely has enough time to squeez all their wrestlers on the show as it is? They have a limited roster and maybe 40 minutes a week of TV time. Between the main event scene, the X division matches, and the loaded tag team division, where would you want them to squeez in this fourth belt? Terrible. Awful. Do you even pay attetnion to TNA? Almost all their best matches have been centered in the X Division. Why downgrade the title to add a fourth belt that maybe 5 guys will go after?

The fact that you have Samoa Joe competing for the X-Division belt means it isn't for cruiser weights any more. If that is the case, then add another belt like the US title and make the X-Division a cruiserweight type belt.
They aren't going to stay a small federation forever, and they need to add a belt sometime. Having four belts is not alot. They have enough wrestlers for 4 belts. Maybe you should pay more attention to TNA, PhD...

...
It was never a cruiser belt...it's not about weight limits, it's about no limits. With the marked exception of Joe (whose style is unlike anyone in the company's) all the X division guys share similar styles (mostly high-flying spotfests).
Their roster could probably support another belt, but they don't have the TIME to add a fourth belt. Their one hour a week is already crammed so full as it is.
Maybe, MAYBE if Xplosion got some decent clearance, upping them to two hours a week, then they might should consider a fourth belt.
But seriously...the X division title is like a hardcore title? In what universe?

If you follow their promotional stuff they are constantly saying that the X-belt "isn't about weight limits..it's about NO limits!" Joe worked the X matches because he had a history of putting n great matches in ROH with guys like Daniels and AJ. Obviously it worked, because those guys have put on about 6 matches between them that could MOTY and Joe is sick over.
If Liger hadn't backed out of his match at Lockdown due to a scheduling conflict, the plan was for Daniels to defend the X title and then move on to more traditional X matches while Joe used his match with Sabu to move up to the hevyweight division.
The X title is TNA's secondary belt. They are not gong to move to two hours anytime in the near future. Having four belts for a company that has one one hour show a week IS A LOT. And even if you believe that adding another title because 'they have enough wrestlers' is a good idea, then you wouldn't do it now.
You'd wait til they have more TV time. Even then, it would probably still be a bad idea.

I'd add a Television Title where the matches have 10 minute time limits. That would be perfect for the way Impact is set up.

TNA is soon adding a short online only show but even with that they will not have enough time for a 4th title. I think their roster could support it especially if they add just a couple more people. The problem is that they do not have enough time for it. The X-Title is much more like the cruiserweight title than it is like the hardcore title.

Bah if they do that they need a Internet championship. And if they do a online show I hope it's like 2 hours so we can catch stuff more so.

I am split here . My heart says yes , but my head is telling me no . If there is gonna be a 2nd belt , I feel no I-C or US style title belt . Why ? already I feel TNA Heavyweight belt is 2nd rated to X-Division . So a I-C or US style belt , would become even lower rated ? . A Cruiserweight belt division , would be good . IF ! they did it right . I mean in WWE on their Smackdown PPV evens , no cruiserweight title match ? . It would give some lower down guys a chance to shine through . Spike v Shark Boy , would be interesting ? .

If TNA had a 2 hour time slot a second belt might be justified. Otherwise -- no.

I don't think they need another belt at all. Another hour and putting together a solid show is more of a priority.

Too many belts is a bad idea. And not just for TNA, same goes for WWE, GWF, or what have you. They already got something different with the X division, they should just work on building that up.

Maybe they should do what WCW did with a twist. Anybody remember the Underdog Challenge? Where jobber fought each other to be the champ of the underdogs. I say name a title the underdog championship and have it defended at PPVs and the online show.

A TV title would be my choice. A 10 minute time limit for it like the NWA TV title used to have. It'd work. You don't have to cram all of the belts into one show each week, you could alternate them. Hell, we don't even see the tag titles defended often, so what would another quality belt hurt. No CW title, it's not needed.

First TNA should establish itself then decide to have a TV belt or something, if they add anymore belts why not give one to everyone in the fed, or everyone in TNA will be a former something or other, and any new guy that enters would get a title shot just to add variety.

Instead of the TV title, make it the Internet belt for the 21st century. It would give me another reason to watch Global Impact, the first being Christy Hemme.
