Your such a child. Next thing you know you'll be reciting 'I'm rubber, your glue'. Yes, it is a wrestling board, and some of us are just as passionate about something we've followed since we were 6 just like some of you are passionate having a good laugh at TNA's expense. Its clear some of you have a problem with TNA/Christian/some of us calling it the NWA Title. All I'm saying is that if you really have a problem with it, to the point where you post 6 or 7 posts attacking those who see it another way, you'd probably be better of writing TNA or NWA a letter, because all your doing here is causing trouble.
You can try and twist words around all you want, but clearly you are an idiot. You and your friend deserve each other...so keep backing each other up in these stupid fights you stir up...keep forcing people to leave the board, do whatever the you want...but there are a lot of people who can clearly see that your an idiot, and no ammount of posts attacking me or anyone else will change that!

The guy who isn't backing down from his points, or the guy who's threatening to leave the board over a debate about FAKE WRESTLING all the while throwing "idiot" all over the place in frustration? here's a hint...it's you. |

Now I really don't have an opinion on any of this. I am in the group that doesn't pay attention to pro wrestling anymore. Nothing can compare to old WWF/WCW. Give me some DVDs of the early 90s and I'll find entertainment in pro wrestling again.
Now I am completely in agreement that we are all entitled to our opinions. As Voltaire said, " I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." Having discussions about who is the NWA champion or whether TNA or WWE is the greatest sports entertainment around are fine but nobody needs to be attacked by someone else about their opinion.
I enjoy posting on this board about COTG but see some of the arguments that erupt down in this section and I wonder how it happens.
Pro wrestling is fake. Whether Severn was the best NWA Champ or Angle is the current NWA Champ, it really has no influence on anything that important.
We are all here because we share a common interest in COTG (the best kind of wrestling around). Having discussions about things of this nature are fine. I am just hoping that those of you involved in this can see the common ground we all have and learn to agree to disagree without all the names, etc.

so who's really the idiot here? Speaking as a late-to-the-party impartial observer, the big idiot here is the person who is basing his entire argument on an erroneous "fact" (and I'll get to that in a minute) that has repeatedly been "disproven" by the opposition. If you think it doesn't apply to you, then there's a very real chance that it does, because that's the point: you're just not accepting what passes for reality as it pertains to this topic. The other, lesser, idiots are the ones who are engaging in a heated debate over something as meaningless and fabricated as wrestling title lineages. Seriously -- you might as well argue over the family tree of the Addams clan. Is Christian the rightful heir to the NWA title lineage? Is he just a glorified Indy champ? And if the latter, who is the "real" NWA champion? Angle? Cena? Is Uncle Fester Gomez's brother like he was in the movies or Mortica's like he was on TV? WHO.

CARES?In the grand scheme of things, what difference does it make? Does it add or subtract any legitimacy to either federation's champion(s)? Does it make the Addams Family any more or less entertaining? Don't get me wrong, I'm all in favor of a good-spirited debate, and I'm all in favor of being passionate about things you support, but I fail to see what this was supposed to accomplish. This is partly because of the nature of this specific topic (pro wrestling), which at its core is founded on deception and is thus almost impossible to prove either way. It's not like someone claiming to be "World Champion" at any other game or sport, because those aren't (openly) pre-determined and have actual, cut-and-dry records to verify or dispute such claims. The fact is, at the end of the day, this discussion is about as useful as " Star Trek vs. Star Wars". Or even "Kirk vs. Picard". And those participating are just as sad as those who engage in those arguments. All of you. But that's just my opinion. And since I've seen new posts and yet no new content, now this thread is locked. |
