I'm going to chime in here... the Canadian Destroyer is the most stupid move ever attempted in the history of wrestling. It looks more like some kind of a trapeze act than it does a wrestling move. It would be impossible to accomplish this without the cooperation of both wrestlers. Yes, I know that there are plenty of moves like that.... but this one is so obviously fake looking that it's almost an insult to the intelligence. Gary Micheal capetta said the same thing to me at Galacticon. I think it "looks" awesome, but I agree with you.

I don't know how many have read Terry Funk's book. He talked about how, while those moves look great, they make it look like just a move.
He cited RVD and Sabu. When they performed a high risk move, they made it look high risk by selling it themself. I totally agree with that statement.

I dont even need gimmicks.I like a good character as much as the next person but I watch lots of 90's Japanese dvds and its usually the top contender fighting the champ with no b.s. period. As for the Canadian Destroyer I think its pretty cool and the fact that anyone would agree to taking it is insane but fun to watch none the less. All in all though wrestling is just a show thats supposed to have lots of variety. Everyone likes what they like. I enjoy to see people get dropped on there heads.

They wrestle so damn stiff it's hard not to like it...WWE will never be like that, and frankly, I don't blame them.

Many injuries come from that type of style. I have heard some people say that it is much easier to learn to be stiff and look good than it is to not be stiff and look good. I don't know how true it is but I read it somewhere sometime. I do love Japanese wrestling though. NJPW and AJPW especially. I don't really get into the smalller promotions because I don't know many of the wrestlers if any. Zero-One was good and NOAH and DDT have been good the few times I have seen it. I am surprised that you like Japanese wrestling Swarm. I don't know why but I am. We should start a topic not in the TNA section to talk about it.

I agree there should be a seperate forum for Japanese wrestling. Tim and Chad (among others I'm sure) could bring a lot to a board like that.

Or maybe just World wrestling or something so that we could talk about Mexican wrestling and Japanese and whatever other parts of the world wrestling is big. I would also like to see maybe a tape trading portion of the site. There could be rules to it so that people weren't trading WWE owned stuff.

Tonight will be fun, iMPACT will be better then that crap they had on lastnights Smackdown. TNA may not be as polished as the WWE, but atleast they have guys who give their all. Jeff Jarrett is a better World Champion both in the ring and on the mic then Batista, this guy just sucks. I watched maybe 5 minutes of SD and it was a waist of time. Team 3D versus AMW will be a cool match, I'm excited to watch tonights show.
