I enjoyed the show alot. It sucks that the show is only an hour though. It would be better to have it 2 so that they could showcase more talent and better. But ya take what you can get right. AJ vs. Roderick Strong was a decent match but I would have preferred seeing Strong get a little more offense off. Monty Brown vs. Lex Lovett was too short to really show how entertaining Monty can be. 3 way X division match was quite good considering the length. TNA knew that they should have Sabin win to build him up and they knew that people had to see the Canadian destroyer. Rhino vs. Jeff Hardy was again pretty good. It is gonna be hard to get great matches on such a short show. It was a nice build to the monsters ball match too. The end was the best part to me. Jarrett and AMW and Team Canada in a big brawl with Nash and Team 3-D. From what I have heard Nash is only signed on for 20 dates or less so most likely he will not take the title from Jarrett at the ppv but we also get a AMW vs. Team 3-D feud out of this as well. A match has already been signed for next week on Impact between the two. I expect that it will also be on the ppv. A pretty good first week on Spike.

After watching a few TNA shows several months back, before MSG stopped airing IMPACT and now with SPIKE TV on board, this was a very solid show. My first time watching AJ Styles, this guy is awesome! I'm not sure of Monty Brown, must see more of this unique former Buffalo Bills player. I loved the 3way X Match, Alex Shelly stands out for me, Sabin and Williams are not bad. Maybe Nash can sign on for more down the road, plus Team 3D got me pumped. The end of the night was very solid, Jarrett and AMW remind me of the old days with the 4 Horsemen. I'm now a TNA fan, WWE will still be watched on Mondays, but Friday's not so much. I don't see anything wrong with Jarrett holding onto the belt, it is a move I like. One hour is not enough, but if things are going well for TNA in the months to come and the fans speakout and maybe TNA will workout a deal with SPIKE TV to have two hours. Overall the first TNA show was GREAT!

Must agree it was great considering the amount of time given. (2 hour petition please) The matches were short but good not there fault. I'm glad they showed the canadian destroyer. The end was jumbled but I see what they're trying to get across. The most imprtant thing is it was different than the same ol WWE stories. I saw the same amount of action in 1 TNA hour than 2 WWE hours. Good direction. I would like a better time slot. Maybe at 10 pm til midnight, would be good.

ok so I just read the results...I actually forgot it was even on last night...
Jeff Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash for the Title at the next PPV huh?
why anybody would ever complain about the WWE when ^that^ is thier alternative is way beyond me...

True that Swarm. They need to go the opposite route of WWE and showcase there young talent and forget these ol timers. Was it me or did Nash get hurt powerbombing Jarrett. Seemed like he had a limp after the move. One more thing who the hell is this guy, Don West, (I think that's his name). He blows.

Well, it was only the second full Impact shw I've ever seen, but whoo boy was that something. The Canadian Destroyer should not be possible with the laws of physics as they currently apply! AJ Styles is the future, and the Fallen Angel is right there with him. Sabin looks good, much rather have seen Williams go over thought. Is it just me, or from the promos on last nights show (since that's all I've seen of him) is Samoa Joe's finisher the Kinniku Buster? SABU! Team 3D! 3 Live Kru! i was hoping it would have been Raven coming down that ramp instead of Nash, but he won't be around to long. All in all I think I found my wrestling show from now on....if only becasue it's the only one on at a time when I can see it. And I'd sign that 2 hour petition anyday. Big Time.

After watching the show for a second time, TNA IMPACT has my viewership. I like the way TNA presents it self, it's not the WWE and they prove it. I like the fact that Nash came down, and that yes they need to push the young stars and well they are... AJ Styles showcased his skills along with the other young talent of the X Division. 3 Live Kru, here's another cool three man team. Next weeks IMPACT looks great, will Jarrett interfere in the Team Canada versus 3 Live Kru match and will Kip James interfere too? One hour was good, just think what TWO hours could bring.

Joe's finisher is actually a Tazmission-like chokeout. The move they kept showing was the Musclebuster, which is his set-up move.
Don West, for all his faults, is at least enthusiastic. That said, I'd prefer something like Mike Tenay and Shane Douglas as the commentary team.
Nash-Jarrett is pretty disgusting, but that's been TNA's real problem from day one. The show is great from botom to (near)top. Its whats on top that kinda sucks.

Did any body else catch a look at the Candaian Destroyer. That was probably one of the best moves I have ever seen in my life, along with the C-4 or whatever.
But I like the show overall.

Not really related to the show, but the TNA DVD's are out on Tuesday. I'm planning to get the Raven and X Division DVD's, I might even get a cable box to get TNA's PPV's. Team 3D versus AMW should really be a highligh of the show this Saturday, Brother Devon and Brother Ray should have the Tag Team belts soon.

I'm not a big TNA fan but I do love the Canadian Destroyer. It's such a hard move to do right though I don't ever expect a lot of guys to execute it.

Incidentally, Wal-Mart is selling the TNA Epic Anthology for $20, that's Victory Road, Turning Point and Lockdown, featuring two of the best modern cage matches I have ever seen (AMW vs Triple X and AJ Styles vs Abyss)...In fact, I would say that those two matches are worth $10 apiece easily, and justify the purchase on their own.

I have Impact taped but haven't watched it yet. I was in Wal-Mart yesterday but didn't see that NWA TNA dvd. Are all three ppvs in their entirety on that? I did get SummerSlam, and the Undertaker and Ultimate Warrior dvds.

There are plenty of great matches on the TNA anthology. I had forgotten how good their ppvs have been at times. Some have been much better than others but you can say that about every single wrestling company to hold more than 3 events. TNA is just trying to get some more exposure by bringing in Nash and having Jarrett as the champ. Nash may not necessarily be the best person for the job but he wont be there long and anyone who doesn't like him wont have to put up with him for long. I do however like him. I just can't help it. There are quite a few great future champs and challengers so the future is still bright for TNA. Guys like Monty Brown, Abyss, AJ Styles, Matt Bentley, and more could someday be holding that title. Team 3-D vs. AMW should be a great match especially if they have a rematch on ppv.

Yessir, Ty...all three are in their entirety. In fact, Lockdown also has a decent Chris Candido tribute section, including a Candido-Naturals six-man match vs Primetime, Petey Williams and Mikey Batts (the most random grouping ever, but I think there was a storyline behind it at the time).

Joe's finisher is actually a Tazmission-like chokeout. The move they kept showing was the Musclebuster, which is his set-up move. Cool, so I was right in that it IS the KinnikuBuster, just wrong in that it's a finisher. That is so very sweet. Samoa Joe just shot up my popularity list. And it's cool to know that move does actually work in real life. Big Time.

Do you prefer 2 hours of yap, yap or 1 hour of action... Thats what you get in TNA.... Styles is their future so they will push him ... Jarrett and Nash are to get the older fan in so they can learn of the new blood. I hope they have the sense to move out of the way in time... They could job for them but still the young blood know how to work now. I am looking for the First PPV in DVD got to start at the beginning to get caught up... I've been watching the local stations Impact show for the spring and summer. The Spike debut was cool but I thought they could improve ... It makes for a good alternative to WWE... I remember when I could fill up my video tapes with shows from 6 different companys but those days are gone... Long live TNA !!
