I have just received the LWF introduction box set.
I plan to have a early 80"s wwf feel to my fed using arenas mainly based on the East coast including regular shows at MSG. Much like Tom's fed, other territories will be promoting cards elsewhere in the US and around the globe.
My first series of cards will focus on determining a Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion. With 24 wrestlers to start, I have decided to use the Crockett Cup format to determine my first champions. Eight wrestlers (Buddy Rogers, Harley Race, Bobo Brazil, Road Warrior Hawk, Jimmy Snuka, Johnny Valentine, Frank Gotch and Road Warrior Hawk) have received byes and the balance of the roster will compete for the final eight spots in the tournament. The losers of the two semi-final round matches will face off for the Intercontinental Title.
My first card will be held at the Capital Center in Landover Maryland. It will feature the qualifying round for the Heavyweight Tournament. The following bouts have been signed....
Buddy Rose v. Johnny Valiant Giant Baba v. Destroyer Nikolai Volkoff v. Greg Valentine Red Bastien v. Iron Shiek The Sandman v. Jimmy Valiant Nick Bockwinkel v. Killer Kowalski Gorgeous George v. Ox Baker Ted DiBiase v. King Kong Bundy
I have no idea what feuds I am going to push or who will end up joining forces. I want to see where the dice will take me until the tournament is over and then go from there.
Any thoughts or predictions?

Finally have a chance to post the results of show number one. The dice hit the table and we go to the arena....
All matches are the qualifying round of the World Title Tournament
Card #1 - Capital Centre, Landover Maryland
Match #1: Buddy Rose v. Johnny Valiant w/Jimmy Valiant The Valiant brothers strut their stuff at ringside and draw heat from the fans. The fans don’t care much for Rose either. Rose dominates the match bloodying Johnny with a chair shot and foreign object before scoring the pin following a chokeslam.
Match #2: Giant Baba v. The Destroyer A large contingent of Japanese media surround ringside for this one and Japanese television records the match for broadcast overseas. The fans have taken to Baba and cheer him throughout the match. Baba dominates the action with his power putting away his masked opponent with a Russian Legsweep. After the bell, both men shake hands.
Match #3: Nikolai Volkoff v. Greg Valentine Volkoff draws monster heat by signing the Russian National Anthem. The fans back Valentine and the action goes back and forth. Valentine takes control outside the ring and uses a deathjump smash onto Volkoff’s leg to set up the FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK. The Iron Sheik hits the ring and attacks Valentine causing a disqualification. Johnny Valentine comes out to assist his son and the Valentines draw a huge pop as they chase Sheik and Volkoff to the back.
Match #4: Iron Sheik v. Red Bastien Sheik is on the microphone and gets huge heat as he runs down America, the fans and the Valentines. Bastien is fired up and takes the fight to Sheik. However, the Sheik battles back working over Bastien’s back with two CAMEL CLUTCHES and a single leg Boston Crab. Bastien puts his leg over the bottom rope to escape a 3rd CAMEL CLUTCH and the action spills to the floor where Sheik uses a chair to wallop Bastien across the back and draw a disqualification.
Match #5: Sandman v. Jimmy Valiant w/Johnny Valiant This is a hard fought contest from bell to bell. Valiant bloodies Sandman early and almost defeats him with a SUPER ELBOW. Sandman comes back and even unloads on Valiant with a SINGAPORE CANE shot. The action goes to the floor and Sandman rams Valiant’s head into the steel ring pole and is disqualified. After the bell, Sandman chases both Valiant’s brothers from the ringside with his Singapore Cane much to the pleasure of the fans.
Match #6: Nick Bockwinkel v. Killer Kowalski The fans hate Kowalski so Bockwinkel gets the cheers tonight. Kowalski is an unstoppable monster and dominates Bockwinkel with his power. Bockwinkel comes back but Kowalski breaks free of the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER and brushes aside a dropkick before planting Bockwinkel with a full nelson suplex for the three count.
Match #7: Gorgeous George w/ Cherie Dupré v. Ox Baker The fans are all over George as he “prepares” for his match at ringside with the assistance of his valet. George sets the pace for the match and Baker is disqualified for ramming George’s head into the steel rails by the fans. George is almost inconsolable after the match screaming “my face, my face, my beautiful face.”
Match #8: Ted DiBiase v. King Kong Bundy DiBiase offers cash to a fan to polish his boots. The match goes back and forth until Bundy misses a charge into the buckle allowing DiBiase to lock in the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER. After the bell, DiBiase thinks about shoving a wad of cash in Bundy’s mouth but instead wakes Bundy up and offers him a position in the Million Dollar Corporation. Bundy accepts with a handshake.
The arena is only three quarters full tonight but there is little promotion for the card and the top eight draws are not on the card.
It appears that King Kong Bundy is the first member of Ted DiBiase's Million Dollar Corporation. Who will be next to join?
In a complete unexpected turn of events, the Valentines are the most popular wrestlers in my fed thanks largely in part to the actions of the Iron Shiek and Nikolai Volkoff. I expect huge things from a feud between these two teams.
Nick Bockwinkel was crushed tonight by Killer Kowalski. There were many on the booking committee who felt Bockwinkel should have been awarded a bye in the first round of the tournament. Bockwinkel has already dug himself a huge hole to climb out of.
The World Title Tournament continues on the next card with the following matches:
Buddy Rogers v. Buddy Rose Harley Race v. Giant Baba Bobo Brazil v. Greg Valentine Roadwarrior Hawk v. Red Bastien Jimmy Snuka v. Jimmy Valiant Johnny Valentine v. Killer Kowalski Frank Gotch v. Gorgeous George Roadwarrior Animal v. Ted DiBiase

The title tournament continues with the round of 16
Card #2: The Spectrum, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – January 9th
Match #1: Buddy Rose v. Buddy Rogers The fans hate Rogers. This is one is a complete squash with Rogers bloodying Rose early and softening up Rose’s leg with a chair shot before ending the match with a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE in less than ten minutes.
Match #2: Harley Race v. Giant Baba The Japanese media are surrounding ringside for this classic. Race bloodies Baba early in the match and stuns the crowd by hoisting the Japanese Giant into a vertical suplex not once, but twice during the match. Baba has a huge spot midway through the match coming off the top of the turnbuckles with a deathjump cross body block for a near fall. Both men spend most of the match countering each other moves. Baba comes on strong as the match nears the 45 minute mark. Race pulls out all the stops and rams Baba’s head into the steel rails by the fans and the referee calls for the bell disqualifying Race and eliminating Race from the Title Tournament. ****1/2
Match #3: Bobo Brazil v. Greg Valentine Brazil is super over with the crowd and spends several minutes greeting the fans at ringside. Valentine destroys Brazil in the early going but Brazil escapes a FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Brazil bloodies Valentine at ringside but “The Hammer” keeps coming but cannot put Brazil away even after two more FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCKS. Valentine becomes frustrated and rams Brazil into the steel rails by the fans busting Brazil open. The referee calls for the bell and awards the decision to Brazil after refusing to disqualify Brazil twice earlier in the bout for the same infraction.
Match #4: Road Warrior Hawk v. Red Bastien Hawk breaks the stalemate and steps up his power attack including a vicious pair of running clothesline leading to a near fall. Hawk tosses Bastien to the floor and rams Bastien’s head into the steel rails by the fans and is disqualified.
Match #5: Jimmy Snuka v. Jimmy Valiant w/Johnny Valiant The fans love the “Superfly.” The action goes back and forth and Johnny saves his brother from a SUPERFLY LEAP and the Valiant’s team for a double team clothesline on Snuka. The referee takes a bump midway through the match and is down for 16 moves. Valiant bloodies Snuka at ringside and beats him pillar to post. Snuka draws on the fans support to mount a comeback ramming Valiant’s head off the ringside table and ending the 30 minute match moments later with a SUPERFLY LEAP. ****
Match #6: Johnny Valentine v. Killer Kowalski This one goes nearly 45 minutes as two of the toughest men in the federation go toe to toe. Both men use a mix of science and brawling in their attacks. Kowalski kicks out after an early ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER and Valentine escapes a CLAW HOLD. Soon both men are a bloody mess and Kowalski begins to take control of match scoring four unanswered near falls. Valentine blocks Kowalski’s clothesline with one of his own and takes control of the action and picks up the win after four ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS in a span of two minutes. ****
Match #7: Frank Gotch v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré The fans are all over George as he “prepares” at ringside. Gotch controls the match and shows he can mix it up outside the ring as well, ramming George’s face into the steel rails by the fans busting him open. George is beside himself screaming “my face, my face.” Dupré saves George from a GOTCH TOE HOLD. George mounts a comeback using a face rake with Georgie pins to set up a SPINNING TOE HOLD which Gotch easily escapes. The action spills to the floor and George rams Gotch into the steel ring post busting him openand is disqualified.
Match #8: Road Warrior Animal v. Ted DiBiase DiBiase offers a hundred bucks to a fan to shine his boots. Animal tries to overpower DiBiase but the Million Dollar Man’s counter attack is too strong. DiBiase weakens the Road Warrior with a figure four leg lock and ends the match with the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER. After the match, King Kong Bundy arrives and DiBiase orders Bundy to “finish him.” Road Warrior Hawk storms the ring and takes out DiBiase and Bundy with running clotheslines much to the pleasure of the crowd.

A near sell out tonight as most of the top superstars of the Fed are booked to appear on the card.
Three out eight of the matches are four stars or better.
It appears the Million Dollar Corporation has crossed the path of the Road Warriors by attempting to take out Road Warrior Animal. The Warriors are not happy about this and have promised to tear down the Million Dollar Corporation before it even gets off the ground.
A highly controversial decision tonight allowed Bobo Brazil to advance to the next round of the tournament and left Greg Valentine steaming and promising revenge next time he faces Brazil. The fans jeered Valentine tonight after he received cheers in Landover last card.
Up next is the LWF 1st television taping. The Championship Committee has ordered that the quarter finals and semi-finals of the LWF Tag Team Title Tournament be made available to the fans for free on television. The reported first round match ups are:
Road Warriors v. Valiant Brothers Valentines v. Ox Baker & Killer Kowalski Nick Bockwinkel & Harley Race v. Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff Giant Baba & The Destroyer v. King Kong Bundy & Ted DiBiase
As well, Bobo Brazil has signed to face “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers in a bout only available to the fans who attend the television taping.
After that we head into Madison Square Garden for a show featuring the quarter finals of the LWF World Title Tournament which will consist of the following bouts:
Frank Gotch v. Ted DiBiase Jimmy Snuka v. Johnny Valentine Bob Brazil v. Red Bastien Buddy Rogers v. Giant Baba
Any thoughts?

Here are the some of the results from my first television taping...
Card #3: Agricultural Hall, Allentown, Pennsylvania – January 19th - Television Taping

King Kong Bundy & Ted DiBiase Tag Team Title Tournament Semi Final #1 Tag Team Title Tournament Semi Final #2 Playboy Buddy Rose v. Frank Gotch
Dark Match – Buddy Rogers v. Bobo Brazil Rogers draws huge heat on the way to the ring. In contrast the fans love Brazil and are supper hot for this match despite sitting through a long television session. Rogers survives an early COCO BUTT to come back and bust open Brazil outside the ring. Rogers destroys Brazil over the next several minutes but the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE does not put Brazil away. Rogers and Brazil trade near pin attempts back and forth until Brazil rolls clear of Roger’s death jump and the Nature Boy crashes to the mat. A COCO BUTT ends the match moments later after a solid 40 minutes of action.

LWF Superstars: Card #3 – Week One
Match #1: World Tag Team Title Tournament Quarter Final Match – Roadwarriors v. Jimmy & Johnny Valiant The Warriors receive a sold ovation from the fans. It is not clear whether they are liked or whether the fans just hate the Valiant’s more. The Valiant Brothers spend the early part of the match attempting to counter Hawk’s power attack. A foreign object blow does the trick and bloodies the Roadwarrior. Johnny takes a brief advantage against Animal with two deathjump body splashes but Animal cuts off a 3rd catching Johnny on the top of the buckles and tossing him to the mat. The Warriors crush Jimmy with two DOOMSDAY DEVICES but Johnny makes the save starting a wild brawl in the ring. The Warrior clean house but Johnny runs Animal into the steel ring post and now both Warriors are a bloody mess. Hawk hot tags into the action and takes out Johnny with a running clothesline but Jimmy saves his brother from defeat. A DOOMSDAY DEVICE ends the match after 45 minutes of wild action.
Backstage a super stretch limo arrives and four lovely ladies step out followed by King Kong Bundy and the Million Dollar Man. Bundy looks over the ladies and tells Ted DiBiase that he definitely made the right decision and the Million Dollar Man laughs and tells Bundy this is only the beginning.
Johnny and Greg Valentine v. Ox Baker & Killer Kowalski The fans are not sure who to support but decided they hate Baker & Kowalski more. Greg counters Baker’s power by wrapping Baker’s leg around the ring post. The action goes back and forth and we are out of time for this week…..

Thanks for the feed back everyone.
The Valentine's due appear to be tweeners. I have them booked in a return tag match against Sheik and Volkoff the next time my Fed comes back to Capital Centre and if that match is high quality or gets out of control, I may run the match around my circuit which could turn the Valentines into my top face tag team! On the other hand, Greg still wants his hands on Bobo Brazil after getting screwed by the referee at the Sectrum. I have their rematch booked in side a steel cage as the main event of my next Spectrum card. As well, Johnny is booked to face Jimmy Snuka in the World Title Tournament quarterfinals. The fans will be behind Snuka in that one. I guess the dice will have to decide what happens.

I hate to say it but I have rebooted my fed. I just didn't like the feel of it. I have slowed it down some and decided to follow the actual schedule from the late seventies and book my cards in the sames cities etc. provided the information is available. I am still going to follow a similar format, that being the first few cards will focus on determining a the World Champion and US Champion. A Crockett cup type tournament will be used. The brackets will be the same as before. Here is the results from card number one. Card #1: Saturday January 1, year one – The Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA All Matches are qualifiers for the World Title Tournament Match #1: Buddy Rose v. Jimmy Valiant w/Johnny Valiant The fans just hate the Valiants and back Rose in this one. Rose holds a brief advantage but Jimmy comes back with a figure four leg lock and ends the bout in less than five minutes with an atomic drop. * Match #2: Giant Baba v. The Destroyer There are loads of Japanese media at ringside for this one. The bout starts with a handshake and ends in minutes with Baba going over in total squash. A NECKBREAKER DROP sets up the pin. Both men shake hands again following the bout. ½* Match#3: Nikolai Volkoff v. Greg Valentine Volkoff gets huge heat by singing the Russian Anthem. The fans actually back “The Hammer” in this one. Volkoff is all over Valentine with a relentless power attack. Valentine evens things up ramming Volkoff’s head into the steel rails by the fans and Volkoff is quickly a bloody mess. Valentine traps Volkoff in a FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK but the Iron Sheik comes out and crushed Valentine with a belly to belly suplex. Volkoff cannot take advantage and Valentine finishes him off with a falling elbow hammer. * Match #4: Red Bastien v. Iron Sheik Sheik gets massif heat the fans. Sheik goes to work immediately and dominates the action with suplexes, submission holds and stomps to Bastien’s back. Sheik loads up his boot and Bastien is quickly reduced to a bloody mess. Bastien draws on the fans support and comes back with a flying body press and then uses a chair to bloody Sheik at ringside. Sheik kicks out after an ATOMIC DROP and a flying head scissors. Sheik blocks Bastien’s falling double hammer at ringside and pins Bastien moments later with a deathjump cross body block. ***1/2 Match #5: The Sandman v. Johnny Valiant (w/ Jimmy Valiant) The Sandman has a huge following in Philadelphia and is super over with the fans. Valiant rebounds off the ropes into a Heinekenrana followed by a HARDCORE DDT for a near fall. Sandman nails Valiant with a SINGAPORE CANE shot. Jimmy jumps into the ring but Sandman executes a Noggin Knocker and covers Johnny for the pin. After the match, the Valiants try and attack Sandman but he clears the ring with his SINGAPORE CANE. * Match #6: Nick Bockwinkel v. Killer Kowalski Kowalski is the aggressor through the match and Bockwinkel struggles to find a way to counter the big man’s attack. Bockwinkel downs Kowalski with a pair of back suplexes and piledriver but cannot get the three count. Bockwinkel nearly submits to a pair of stomach claws before Kowalski rams Bockwinkel’s head into the steel rails by the fans busting him open. The referee disqualifies Kowalski. * ½ Match #7 Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré v. Ox Baker George “prepares” for the match at ringside with his valet and draws great heat from the hostile fans. George slaps Baker and Baker is enraged, tearing into George. A HEART PUNCH nearly ends the match but somehow George manages to kick out and then toss Baker off the top of the turnbuckles. Baker keeps coming however and a second HEART PUNCH ends the match. After the bell, Baker continues his attack choking out George with his whip. George is injured for five fight cards. * ½ Match #8: Ted DiBiase v. King Kong Bundy DiBiase challenges a fan to do 10 push ups for a cash reward but DiBiase knocks him over at 9 ½. Both DiBiase and Bundy laugh at the fan. DiBiase controls the early action but cannot put the big man away with a MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER. DiBiase catches Bundy coming off the ropes with a backdrop! The fans are going nuts. DiBiase misses a charge to the corner and hits the buckles hard leading to Bundy’s first near fall. A bear hug and elbow drop off the ropes sets up the AVALANCHE for the five count. *1/2

Card number two is underway...
Card #2: Wednesday, January 5, year one – Island Garden, West Hempstead, New York. Injuries: Gorgeous George 5 cards
Match #1: Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff v. Johnny & Jimmy Valiant The fans hate Sheik and Volkoff so much the Valiants are heroes tonight. The whole match breaks down in minutes and Johnny Valiant nails Volkoff with a chair to the back outside the ring and is disqualified. The match does not even go five minutes. ½
Match #2: Ox Baker v. The Sandman The Sandman has the fans behind again yet again but struggles to find away to counter Baker’s strength. A pair of Heinekenranas does the trick the action goes to the floor. Baker chokes out Sandman with this whip and is disqualified in another quick match. *
Match #3: Johnny & Greg Valentine v. Ted DiBiase & Buddy Rogers The fans have high expectations for this one. DiBiase offers a fan a hundred bucks to do 10 push ups and then kicks the fan over at 9 ½ much to the pleasure of Rogers. The Valentines are like a machine first dominating DiBiase and then dominating Rogers. It takes four ATOMIC SKULL CRUSHERS for Johnny to pin Rogers while Greg prevents DiBiase from saving his partner. DiBiase & Rogers have virtually no offence in this one. * ½
Match #4: Harley Race v. Frank Gotch The fans do not know what to think of Gotch but Race ensures that he draws enough heat to make the fans get behind Gotch. Both men are technically sound and counter wrestle. Race reverses a figure four attempt and hits a vertical suplex for a pin attempt. Gotch reverses a choke slam into a Iowa Backdrop for a 1 ½ count. The action spills to the floor and Gotch rams Race into the steel rails by the fans busting him open. The referee disqualifies Gotch. The fans hate the decision. * 1/2
Our main event is still to come with the Road Warriors facing the team of Bobo Brazil and Jimmy Snuka!

The main event....
Match #5: Bobo Brazil & Jimmy Snuka vs. Road Warriors Snuka and Brazil are super over with the fans. Brazil manhandles Animal busting him open at ringside. Animal rolls clear of Brazil’s deathjump and Hawk beats down Brazil busting him open as well. Hawk survives a COCO BUTT and SUPERFLY LEAP before catching Snuka on top of the turnbuckle and tossing him off to the mat. Animal crushes Snuka with a pair of POWERSLAMS and the action spills to the floor. Animal uses a steel chain on Snuka and is disqualified. **
What a disappointing card. Likely one of the worst I have ever played. Lots of marquee match ups tonight and all of them ending up a bust with DQ endings etc. Race and Gotch should have gone at least 45 minutes instead of 10 and the main event was a rip off to the fans. But that is the way the dice rolls. After all, you have to leave them wanting more so the next time the LWF rolls into the Island Garden (February 16) we will have some sold rematch –stipulation matches

The Heavyweight Title Tournament continues tonight...
Card #3: Thursday, January 6, year one – South Mountain Arena, West Orange, New Jersey. Injuries: Gorgeous George 4 cards
**All matches part of round of 16 in World Title Tournament
Match #1: Road Warrior Animal v. King Kong Bundy Bundy gets the fans going drawing huge heat by running the fans down. The bout starts quickly with Animal avoiding Bundy’s charge into the corner and rolling the big man up for a pin attempt. Moments later, Animal rebounds off the ropes with a perfect cross body block to stun Bundy for another pin attempt. The match slows down and both men miss moves for several minutes. The crowd only comes back when Bundy busts Animal open at ringside. A bloody Animal actually backdrops Bundy (solid pop) and manages to POWERSLAM Bundy for the win after about 15 minutes.
Match #2: Ox Baker v. Frank Gotch Gotch has the crowd behind him and dominates the match on the mat. Baker comes back ramming Gotch's head into the steel ring post and Gotch is a bloody mess. Baker hits the HEARTPUNCH but Gotch kicks out and uses his mat skills to come back. Gotch sets the pace for the remainder of the bout frustrating Baker on the mat before using a swinging neckbreaker to set up the GOTCH TOE HOLD for the submission victory after just under 20 minutes of action.
Match #3: Road Warrior Hawk v. Iron Sheik Sheik is on the mic declaring “Iran, #1!” and the crowd is all over him. Hawk explodes into the ring and quickly downs Sheik with a vertical suplex for a near fall. Sheik loaded up his boot and goes to work on Hawk’s back including a deathjump boot to the back. Sheik is in control but Hawk manages to hit another vertical suplex for a cover followed by a gorilla press slam that nearly ends the match. Hawk hits Sheik with a deathjump forearm smash and both men crash into the referee. The official quickly recovers and match continues with both men brawling at ringside. Sheik rams Hawk into the steel ring post and is disqualified after 15 minutes plus of action.
Match #4: Jimmy Snuka v. The Sandman Snuka is over with fans and Sandman gets heat for the first time in the LWF. The action goes to ringside after only two moves and Sandman rams Snuka’s head into the steel ring post and is disqualified. A bloody Snuka and Sandman brawl to the back.
Match #5: Buddy Rogers v. Jimmy Valiant w/Johnny Valiant Both men get their share of heat from the fans. Rogers puts on a clinic dominating the action including a FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE that Valiant barely escapes by grabbing the ropes. Valiant comes back shocking Rogers with a cross-body block off the ropes and a SUPER ELBOW but cannot put the Nature Boy away. Rogers regains control and traps Valiant in a 2nd FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE and again Valiant grabs the ropes. The action goes to the floor and Rogers shows his frustration by ramming Valiant’s head into the steel rails by the fans opening up a deep cut. The referee disqualifies Rogers and Valiant is through to the next round! Johnny and Jimmy attack Rogers after the bell drawing monster heat from the fans. Ted DiBiase leads security to the ring to save the Nature Boy!
Rogers is out! What an upset. Have we witnessed a face turn by DiBiase & Rogers?
Snuka v. The Sandman has potential for some seriously extreme action.
Still to come... Bobo Brazil v. Greg Valentine Johnny Valentine v. Nick Bockwinkel Harely Race v. Giant Baba

More action....
Match #6: Bobo Brazil v. Greg Valentine Brazil is crazy over with the fans, which makes Valentine the least popular man in the building. They trade moves until Brazil catches Valentine on the top of the turnbuckles and tosses him to the mat before nailing Valentine with the big hammer punch for the pin. Johnny Valentine comes out and brawls with Brazil allowing Greg to recover and join his father for a two on one beat down. Greg applies a FIGURE FOUR LEG LOCK on Brazil injuring him for four cards.
