The Legends Wrestling Federation has struck a collective deal with independent wrestling promoters across the United States to incorporate their athletes into LWF events, including television presentations.

Rob Moore, VP of the LWF, said that "all of professional wrestling will be helped immensely by the presence of different wrestlers each week." He added that top independent talent will start in dark matches, with room for advancement. "If a wrestler performs well enough in the dark matches, he stands an excellent chance of making the main roster and appearing on live worldwide television," Moore said.

The first such match will take place this Monday night in Atlanta, Georgia. The "Universal Heartthrob," Austin Idol, will do battle with the masked Dream Machine, with "Nature Boy" Buddy Landell waiting in the wings to face the winner on September 11 in New York City.
