Major League Wrestling (MLW): Showtime Preview for Friday June 23 @ Don Haskins Center in El Paso, TX
Major League Wrestling's tour through the Lone Star State arrives in El Paso on Friday for this week's edition of Showtime!
On last week's show, Harley Race defeated Frank Gotch to give the Heenan Family the advantage of sending the third , fifth, and seventh men into the steel cages in the War Games main event match at the Great American Bash on July 2 when they confront the team of Antonino Rocca, Frank Gotch, Dan Severn, and Giant Baba. This week on Showtime, both teams will continue to prepare for the War Games as they meet in a pair of tag team matches. Rocca and Gotch will meet World Champion Nick Bockwinkel and Race while former World Tag Team Champions Severn and Giant Baba will wrestle the tag team of King Kong Bundy and Ox Baker.
In addition, the Road Warriors will announce who their tag team partner will be when they confront their former manager Killer Kowalski and the Gladiators in the 6 man tag team steel cage elimination match at the Great American Bash! The Road Warriors will reveal the surprise identity of their mystery partner by having him wrestle Kowalski this week on Showtime!
Meanwhile the Gladiators this week are set to wrestle Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras. Kowalski angered Brazil and Mascaras last week by admitting he stole $500,000 from the $1 million Brazil and Mascaras won at the Sammartino Invitational to hire the Gladiators temporarily to deal with the Road Warriors. A victory over the mighty Gladiators would provide Brazil and Mascaras with important momentum as they get ready to wrestle the Midnight Express for the World Tag Team Championship at the Great American Bash.
Finally, both United States Champion Buddy Rogers (who has vowed to put both his title and his valet Maxine Babe on the line in his match against Yukon Eric at the Great American Bash) and the Valentines separately flashed a four fingered hand sign at the cameras last week. Will the meaning of this sign be revealed on Showtime? Also, new World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express will be the guests on the Hot Seat and more on this week's Showtime!
MLW spokesman Splatter says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"

Major League Wrestling (MLW): Showtime Friday June 23 Live from the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, TX (first half of the show)
Start of Show: Killer Kowalski, with the Missing Link standing next to him, is shown on the big screen. Kowalski says this message is for the Road Warriors and says he wonders if they have found their mystery tag team partner to face him and the Gladiators in the steel cage elimination match at the Great American Bash on July 2. Kowalski mentions that the Road Warriors are required to identify their partner, who will be wrestling Kowalski in a match tonight, on today's show and that they are required to select someone already on the roster of Major League Wrestling who does not already have a match at the Great American Bash. Kowalski then arrogantly suggests that the Road Warriors could choose S.D. Jones, Playboy Buddy Rose, or Virgil- but he warns whoever they choose to get ready for a beating at the Bash!
Match #1: Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. vs Johnny Valentine. Last week Orton. Jr defeated Greg Valentine and now he takes on Johnny Valentine.
Upon entering the ring, the Valentines once again flash the same four fingered hand sign they also showed last week. The announcers again react with confusion about what this sign means and remark that United States Champion Buddy Rogers also flashed this same sign last week. But why are three people flashing a hand sign with the number four on it?
Bob Orton Jr.- one half of the United States Tag Team Champions- walks to the ring accompanied by his tag team partner Richard Hutton who is still on crutches after being ambushed by the Valentines two weeks ago on Major League Wrestling: All Stars. But Hutton is still expected to be ready for the Great American Bash when he and Orton Jr. (the Regulators) defend their championship against the Valentines in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest.
The match between Bob Orton Jr and Johnny Valentine saw the momentum shift back and forth between Orton Jr and Valentine until finally Johnny Valentine then nailed Orton Jr with a devastating ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER and appeared to have the match won but Hutton entered the ring and nailed Valentine in the head with one of his crutches for the disqualification.
Match #2: Killer Bees and Danny Hodge vs Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, and Nikita Breznikov. Two weeks before they meet the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff in a flag match at the Great American Bash, the Killer Bees and their tag team partner for tonight Danny Hodge take on the Iron Sheik, Volkoff, and their manager Breznikov in a 6 man tag team match.
In a four star match that saw both sides have to survive multiple pin/submission attempts, B. Brian Blair appeared to be in serious trouble at the hands of Volkoff late in the match. But suddenly out of nowhere, the Killer Bees successfully pulled off their MASKED CONFUSION routine and a masked Brunzell then gave a confused Volkoff a SUNSET FLIP for the three count victory. If this same outcome occurs at the Great American Bash, then the Iron Sheik and Volkoff will have to salute the US flag!
Match #3: Jimmy Snuka and Cousin Luke (accompanied by Yukon Eric) vs United States Champion Buddy Rogers (accompanied by Maxine Babe) and Gorgeous George. This tag team match pits together opponents of two different matches (Snuka vs George in a dog collar match and Yukon Eric vs Rogers for the United States Championship and a night with Maxine Babe) at the Great American Bash! Yukon Eric is still having his kin Cousin Luke wrestle for him as he recovers from injuries sustained at the hands of Rogers.
Upon entering the ring , Rogers gave the same four fingered hand sign that the Valentines did earlier in the show. But George does NOT give this sign. The announcers again ask- what does this mean?
Cousin Luke and Jimmy Snuka appeared impressive early in the match as they executed a series of quick tags to keep George on the defensive. At one point, Snuka appeared to have the match won after he hit George with his SUPERFLY LEAP, but Rogers made the pin save. After finally getting tagged in by George, Rogers went on the offensive against Cousin Luke whom he nailed with a piledriver, a series of dropkicks, a jumping knee smash, and a pole ram before tagging George back in. But George failed to bodyslam Cousin Luke who responded with a two fisted sledgehammer followed by his HILLBILLY DROP to George for the stunning three count victory. Afterward, Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke managed to persuade Snuka into joining them in the Hillbilly Hop but failed to entice Maxine Babe who instead tightly held the arm of Rogers as they returned to the locker room.
Backstage: Danny Hodge is walking through the corridor after the victory he obtained with the Killer Bees earlier in the night when suddenly he is attacked from behind with a Singapore cane from the Sandman who Hodge easily defeated in just four moves last week on Showtime. After battering Hodge senseless, the Sandman says he wants revenge for last week's embarrassing defeat and he will get it at the Great American Bash where he will wrestle Hodge in a Singapore cane match! The Sandman then forces Hodge to drink a can of Milwaukee's Best and then strikes a match against Hodge's body to light his cigarette before walking away from Hodge's crumpled body on the ground.
Match #4: Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras vs the Gladiators (managed by Kowalski and accompanied by the Missing Link). Brazil and Mascaras, the winners of last month's Sammartino Invitational, are looking to gain some important momentum from this match as they get set to confront the Midnight Express for the World Tag Team Championship in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest at the Great American Bash.
Mascaras and Brazil start the match off impressively and demonstrate to everyone why they won the Sammartino Invitational. But Massacre is able to tag in Brute who seems impervious to the moves executed against him by Brazil and Mascaras. Brute proceeds to level Brazil with a runaway cannon and Brute Force before tagging in Massacre. The Gladiators then perform two DECAPITATORS to Brazil for the victory. Afterward, Kowalski got on the microphone and warned all of Major League Wrestling that the same painful fate would befall them if they agree tonight to join the Road Warriors at the Great American Bash!
End of First Half of the show- Second Half will be typed and posted next and it will be revealed who the Road Warriors have chosen as their mystery partner against Kowalski and the Gladiators!

Major League Wrestling (MLW): Showtime Friday June 23 Live from the Don Haskins Center in El Paso, TX (second half of the show) note: first half is posted above.
Match #5: Giant Baba and Dan Severn vs King Kong Bundy and Ox Baker. This tag team contest features half of the competitors for the War Games main event match at the Great American Bash!
Severn started off the match against his enemy Bundy. Bundy started off in control until Severn countered and nearly made Bundy tap out to WAKIGATAME before Heenan interfered by jumping on the ring apron. Severn then flipped Heenan into the ring and advanced toward Heenan as Heenan backed toward a turnbuckle. During this time, Baba and Baker got into a brawl that spilled away from the ring and back into the locker room. Meanwhile, as Severn had Heenan trapped and was about to smack him, Bundy recovered and nailed "the Beast" from behind with a power drop followed by an AVALANCHE for the victory over the former World Tag Team Champions.
Hot Seat: The new World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express and their manager Jim Cornette are this week's guests! There is a cake purchased by Cornette to celebrate the Midnight Express's victory over Severn and Baba last week to regain the World Tag Team Championship.
Cornette (to Bill Apter): "Hello bucket head."
Apter: "I want to say congratulations for regaining the World Tag Team Championship last week but...."
Cornette (interrupting Apter): "That's right! I manage millions and I train champions such as Beautiful Bobby and Sweet Stan here."
Apter: "As I was trying to say, why do you need to carry that tennis racket with you to the ring?"
Cornette: "Would Pablo Picasso travel without his paints? I am a talented tennis athlete capable of beating the very best. Back in Las Vegas where Major League Wrestling is based, I have been calling the home of Andre Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf challenging them to a match anytime anywhere. But they have not called be back. Do you know why?"
Apter: "Because they think you are an idiot?"
Cornette: "No! Because they know I can beat them and they don't want to be embarrassed. Everybody respects the Midnight Express. If you look at this issue of the Weekly Inquirer I have here, on page 12 below the article that says a headless man was found in a topless bar and above the article that says a 100 pound women gave birth to a 200 pound boy, there is a poll in which 91% of the residents of Sparks, Nevada thinks the Midnight Express is currently the greatest tag team in Major League Wrestling!"
Apter: "I see the Midnight Express are eating their cake and that you only brought 3 forks and 3 plates."
Cornette: "That's because this celebration is only for everyone who contributed to the Midnight Express regaining the World Tag Team Championship last week and those three people are Bobby, Stan, and myself."
Suddenly, Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras- the opponents of the Midnight Express at the Great American Bash- appear and smash Cornette's head into the cake before retreating to the back to end this episode of the Hot Seat.
Backstage: Accompanied by the Missing Link, Kowalski is in the locker room talking to the Valiants, the Flying Redheads, the Heart Thrashers, Playboy Buddy Rose, Virgil, S.D. Jones, and "Precious" Paul Ellering. Kowalski tells them that he knows one of them must be the Road Warriors mystery partner because,as required, they are the only wrestlers on the roster of Major League Wrestling without a match at the Great American Bash. Kowalski warns all of them that whoever the Road Warriors's mystery partner is will be making a painful mistake if they don't retreat from joining up with the Road Warriors.
Match #6: Killer Kowalski vs the mystery tag team partner of the Road Warriors. Kowalski heads to the ring accompanied by the Missing Link. Suddenly the music of the Road Warriors plays and Hawk and Animal walk to the ring alone. Kowalski laughs and says he sees that nobody had the courage to join the Road Warriors against him and the Gladiators at the Great American Bash. The Road Warriors reply that they DO have a partner for the Great American Bash and their partner is ........
Splatter- the spokesman of Major League Wrestling!
Splatter runs to the ring carrying his big club. Kowalski reacts with surprise and horror at seeing Splatter but recovers in time to meet Splatter with an overhead smash as Splatter enters the ring to start tonight's one on one match. Kowalski then tried to put Splatter away quickly with a deathjump, but Splatter kicked out. Kowalski then hit Splatter with a giant swing and threw him into the turnbuckle and started to charge right at him. But Splatter dodged at the last second and Kowalski rammed into the empty turnbuckle and crashed to the mat. Splatter then grabbed his large club and smashed Kowalski over the head to earn the instant disqualification. As a battered Kowalski rolled out of the ring and up the ramp followed by the Missing Link, Splatter announced that his club's name is Arsenal and Arsenal will be accompanying him to the the Great American Bash when he teams up with the Road Warriors against Kowalski and the Gladiators in the steel cage elimination match! Add for the Great American Bash (GAB): Coming Sunday July 2, Major League Wrestling presents the Great American Bash! Already signed matches include a) a War Games match with Antonino Rocca, Frank Gotch, Dan Severn, and Giant Baba teaming up against the Heenan Family: World Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker, b) Yukon Eric vs United States Champion Buddy Rogers, c) Road Warriors and Splatter vs Killer Kowalski and the Gladiators in a tag team steel cage elimination match. d) Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras vs World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express in a best 2 out of 3 falls match, e) United States Tag Team Champions the Regulators (Bob Orton Jr and Richard Hutton) vs the Valentines in a best 2 out of 3 falls match, f) Jimmy Snuka vs Gorgeous George in a dog collar match, g) Killer Bees vs Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff in a flag match. h) Danny Hodge vs Sandman in a Singapore cane match.
Match #7: Antonino Rocca and Frank Gotch vs World Champion Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race (managed by Bobby Heenan). Like match #5, this match pits two members of Antonino Rocca's team against the other two members of the Heenan Family as the two sides get set to meet in the War Games match at the Great American Bash.
Race started off in control of this match by nailing Gotch with a series of swinging neckbreakers and vertical suplexes. Race tagged in Bockwinkel who executed a few more moves against Gotch before Gotch blocked a kick to his ribs and hit Bockwinkel with an Iowa backdrop. But the action continued to shift back and forth. Later in the match, Gotch had Bockwinkel in serious trouble after hitting him with a rolling kneebar. Gotch then tagged in Rocca who appeared to have Bockwinkel pinned via his ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER. But Heenan jumped on the apron to distract Rocca. Rocca grabbed Heenan and, after asking for and receiving the crowd's approval, proceeded to hit Heenan. The crowd roared in delight but, taking advantage of this opportunity, Bockwinkel snuck up on Rocca from behind and pinned him with a BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER followed by a back suplex. Heenan reacts with delight as the members of his family were victorious in both of their tag team matches against the members of Antonino Rocca's team who they will face in the War Games at the Great American Bash on July 2. The crowd reacts by throwing debris at Heenan, Bockwinkel, and Race as they celebrate on their way back to the locker room as the show ends and the screen fades to black.
Note: Major League Wrestling's "B" show All Stars will not be shown this week. We got preempted by the World Cup.

Major League Wrestling: Showtime Preview for Friday June 30 @ US Airways Center In Phoenix, AZ
On its final edition before the Great American Bash on Sunday July 2, Major League Wrestling: Showtime will take place this week in Phoenix!
In a preview of the War Games match at the Great American Bash on Sunday, the main event of this week's show will feature the team of Antonino Rocca, Frank Gotch, Dan Severn, and Giant Baba confronting the Heenan Family team of World Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker in an 8 man elimination tag team match! Instead of gradually adding wrestlers into the match as they will do in the War Games at the Great American Bash, the two teams will instead seek to eliminate each other one by one on Showtime's main event!
In addition, as they get set to meet in a 6 man steel cage elimination match at the Great American Bash on Sunday, the Road Warriors on Showtime will wrestle the Gladiators in a regular tag team match billed as a tuneup for what is expected to be a blood fest on Sunday. Furthermore, in a separate match on Showtime, Killer Kowalski is sending the Missing Link after Splatter who is the Road Warriors partner against the Gladiators and Kowalski at the Great American Bash.
Also, both United States Champion Buddy Rogers and the Valentines will be the guests on the Hot Seat this week as Bill Apter seeks to uncover the meaning of the mysterious four fingered hand sign that Rogers and the Valentines have been seen flashing separately in recent weeks. Finally, the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express will be in action and more on Friday's edition of Showtime!

Major League Wrestling (MLW): Showtime Friday June 30 @ US Airways Center In Phoenix, AZ First Half of the show
Welcome to the final edition of Major League Wrestling (MLW): Showtime before the Great American Bash on Sunday!
Match #1: Killer Bees vs Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (managed by Nikita Breznikov). This tag team match is a preview of the flag match between the two teams at Sunday's Great American Bash where the first team to capture their flag will have that flag hoisted to the rafters and the losing team will have to pledge allegiance to the flag of their opponents!
Before the match, Nikolai Volkoff sang the Soviet national anthem despite loud disapproving boos from the Phoenix crowd as Breznikov waved the Soviet flag. The Iron Sheik then told the crowd that after he and Volkoff win the flag match on Sunday, the Killer Bees would be paying homage to the Soviet flag as it hangs from the rafters over the US independence holiday weekend. The Killer Bees then came out to loud cheers from the crowd as both B. Brian Blair and Jim Brunzell each carried and waved a large US flag on their way to the ring to start the bout.
In a great opening match that proved to be a great tune up for their upcoming flag match on Sunday, both sides controlled the action multiple times as they made use of a series of quick tags. Finally, the Iron Sheik threw Brunzell into the turnbuckle and charged in after him. However, Brunzell just dodged out of the way and the Iron Sheik then hit the empty turnbuckle and crashed hard to the mat. As the Iron Sheik straggled to his feet, Brunzell nailed him with a devastating KILLER DROPKICK that appeared to have won the match for the Killer Bees. But Breznikov then hit Brunzell in the back of his neck with the flag pole of the Soviet flag he was still carrying and Brunzell fell to the mat on his hands and knees. The Iron Sheik then quickly applied the CAMEL CLUTCH and forced Brunzell to submit for the victory. Will this be the same result on Sunday when the two teams meet in their flag match at the Great American Bash?
Match #2: Jimmy Snuka and Danny Hodge vs Gorgeous George and the Sandman. This match features two tag teams with wrestlers teaming up tonight against their opponents (Snuka vs George in a dog collar match and Hodge vs Sandman in a Singapore cane match) at the Great American Bash!
Snuka started off the match against Sandman but as soon as Sandman had Snuka in trouble George eagerly asked to be tagged in to take advantage of Snuka's current defensive status. But once Snuka regained control of the match and started pounding George with a series of vicious chops and head butts, George quickly tagged out to the Sandman as the crowd chanted "coward, coward" at George. Soon it became Hodge vs Sandman in the ring and Hodge clearly out wrestled Sandman and even nearly pinned him twice via his OKLAHOMA SIDEROLL. The Sandman finally slipped out of a Hodge Headlock and, apparently frustrated at being technically out wrestled by Hodge yet once again, executed a White Russian Leg Sweep and then grabbed his SINGAPORE CANE and started striking Hodge with it repeatedly to earn the instant dq. George then grabbed his dog collar that he had carried to the ring with him and tried unsuccessfully to use it to choke Snuka who sent George out of the ring with a flying head butt and then rescued Hodge by chasing the Sandman away by twirling the dog collar above his head. How will Snuka and Hodge do on Sunday in their singles matches against George and the Sandman respectively in matches that allow George (dog collar) and the Sandman (Singapore cane) to use their selected weapons?
Backstage: Killer Kowalski is seen instructing the Missing Link to "take out" Splatter during their match later tonight.
Match #3: Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke vs The Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell, managed by Cassandra). Yukon Eric makes his return from his injury tonight as he prepares to wrestle United States Champion Buddy Rogers at the Great American Bash (GAB) on Sunday for both Rogers's championship and for a date with Rogers's valet Maxine Babe!
The Heart Thrashers controlled most of the match until Cousin Luke made a surprising comeback and pinned Beefcake via a two fisted sledgehammer. Yukon Eric proved to be of little help to Cousin Luke in this match because he was seen being preoccupied with staring at Cassandra instead of concentrating on the action inside the ring.
Match #4: Splatter vs the Missing Link (managed by Killer Kowalski). This match pitted Splatter, who last week was named the surprise partner of the Road Warriors in their steel cage elimination match against the Gladiators and Kowalski at the GAB, vs Kowalski's henchman the Missing Link.
Early in the match, Kowalski was seen trying to steal Splatters's club Arsenal as Splatter was wrestling the Missing Link. But Splatter caught Kowalski in the act and grabbed Arsenal which he used to chase Kowalski back toward the dressing room to the roaring approval of the crowd. After Splatter returned to the ring, the Missing Link had the offensive and threw Splatter out of the ring where he rammed him threw a table. After throwing Splatter out of the ring once again, the Missing Link then rammed Splatter into a ring post and it became obvious that the Missing Link was more concerned with attempting to disable Splatter prior to the GAB on Sunday than with actually trying to win the match. But after throwing Splatter back into the ring, the Missing Link's flailing forearms had no effect of Splatter who then performed a pole ram followed by a face splatter to the Missing Link. Splatter then grabbed his club and made the Missing Link MEET ARSENAL. The referee called for the dq despite Splatter covering the Missing Link in a pinning position and tapping his hands on the mat three times to demonstrate that he had disabled Kowalski's henchman.
End of the First Half of MLW: Showtime. The Second Half will be posted next!

Major League Wrestling (MLW): Showtime Friday June 30 @ US Airways Center In Phoenix, AZ Second Half of the show (First Half is posted above).
Match #5: Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. (accompanied by his tag team partner Dick Hutton), Bobo Brazil, and Mil Mascaras vs the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express and their manager Jim Cornette in a non-title 6 man tag team match. After having his face smashed into a cake on last week's edition of the Hot Seat by Brazil and Mascaras (the Midnight Express's opponents in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest at the GAB for the World Tag Team Championship), Cornette arrogantly demanded this match so he could get his hands on Brazil and Mascaras. Orton Jr, whose partner Hutton is still injured but will return Sunday at the GAB when they defend their United States Tag Team Championship against the Valentines in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest, agreed to be Brazil and Mascaras's partner for this match.
As he was standing in the ring barking directions to Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane prior to the match, an unprepared Cornette was suddenly grabbed from behind by Brazil and thrown into the ropes as the referee signaled that this action marked the start of the match. Both Brazil and Mascaras took turns pounding on Cornette until Cornette manged to make a defensive tag to Eaton. Although now essentially wrestling in a handicap match as Cornette refused to tag back in following the beating he sustained at the beginning of the match, the Midnight Express wrestled well and nearly had the match won several times including once in particular via a VEG-O-MATIC to Brazil but Mascaras made the pin save. The end came when Eaton missed a flying knee drop to Brazil who then nailed Eaton with a big hammer punch followed by a COCO BUTT for the victory as Mascaras prevented Lane from making the pin save via a CROSSBODY ATTACK. If this same result occurs on Sunday at the GAB, then Brazil and Mascaras will become the new World Tag Team Champions!
Hot Seat: This week's guests are United States Champion Buddy Rogers (accompanied by his valet Maxine Babe) and the Valentines. For some reason, the Valentines are carrying brooms. The Phoenix crowd is heavily booing Rogers and the Valentines.
Apter: "Buddy Rogers, the people of Phoenix are sure making it known what they think of you and your antics."
Rogers: "Well, at least I didn't get my a*s kicked earlier this month in the NBA Playoffs by the Dallas Mavericks. It takes more than a little injury to knock out the Nature Boy because I, unlike Amare Stoudamire, can go all night long. Whoooo!"
Apter (to the Valentines): "What are those brooms for?"
Johnny Valentine: "We're from Seattle and these brooms are to show how the Seattle Mariners this week swept the Arizona Diamondbacks 3 games to none across the street at Chase Field. (To the crowd) Your Diamondbacks suck!"
Rogers: "As do the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Coyotes who both missed the playoffs this year. Rogers then lifts up his United States Championship and tells the crowd "take a look at this because it is the only championship you guys in Phoenix will be seeing any time soon."
Apter: "But come Sunday at the GAB that very belt could end up around the waist of Yukon Eric."
Rogers: "Yukon Eric is a buffoon. On Sunday I am leaving the GAB with my United States Championship around my waist and my valet Maxine Babe around my arm."
Apter: "What is the meaning of this four fingered hand signal both you and the Valentines here have been seen flashing recently? Are you guys now in some sort of faction and why are you flashing the number four when there is only three of you?"
Rogers: "That is for us to know and for you to find out when we decide to let you. On Sunday at the GAB, I predict that the Valentines will be walking out of Dallas as the new United States Tag Team Champions when they defeat the Regulators as I will still be the United States Champion after my match with Yukon Eric."
Rogers and the Valentines then flash the same four fingered hand signal as they have done in recent weeks as the Hot Seat comes to an end.
Match #6: Road Warriors vs Gladiators (managed by Kowalski). These two teams (along with their partners Splatter and Kowalski respectively) will meet Sunday in a steel cage elimination match at the GAB. This is a regular tag team match between the Road Warriors and the Gladiators as a tune up for both sides before Sunday's 6 man war inside the steel cage.
This long and extremely violent match concluded when Animal pinned Brute via a DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Backstage: MLW owner and general manager Bruno Sammartino instructs the Heart Thrashers, Valiants, Flying Redheads, Playboy Buddy Rose, S.D. Jones, Virgil, and "Precious" Paul Ellering to prepare to compete in a battle royal Sunday on MLW: Fight Night prior to the start of the GAB!
Match #7: Antonino Rocca, Frank Gotch, Dan Severn, and Giant Baba vs the Heenan Family: World Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker in an 8 man tag team elimination match. While these two teams are set to confront each other in the War Games main event match on Sunday at the GAB where they will gradually add other men into the battle inside the steel cages, tonight they will wrestle in a match with the objective of eliminating their opponents one by one!
Bockwinkel put Gotch away via his BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER upon tagging in after Gotch had already roughed up Gotch.
Baba eliminated his enemy Baker via his NECKBREAKER DROP to even the match at 3 men left per side.
Bockwinkel eliminated Severn via his BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. Severn refused to submit at first. But Bockwinkel kept applying his hold until Severn was no longer able to resist.
Baba eliminated Bundy via a NECKBREAKER DROP to once again even the match up at two men left per side.
Bockwinkel defeated Rocca via his BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER.
Bockwinkel defeated Baba via his BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER to win the match for the Heenan Family with Bockwinkel and Race as the two survivors. Heenan, Bockwinkel, and Race celebrate their victory in the ring while the announcers ask aloud if the Heenan Family can replicate tonight''s success in the War Games at the GAB on Sunday as the show ends and the screen fades to black.
See you Sunday for the Great American Bash presented by Major League Wrestling!

nice card but do you mean by final edition. Neil, I just meant it is the last edition of my regular weekly show before my Great American Bash PPV on Sunday. But after tomorrow's PPV I am also going to make some changes to Major League Wrestling. I plan on bringing in lots of the wrestlers I have not been using yet (and also lots of the wrestlers from Legends Teams) and I think I am going to have to restructure how I organize my fed to include all the wrestlers I want to add to my current active roster. Hopefully it will work out ok.

Very cool show. I love the use of some of the COTG stars Thanks godzillajoe2k4, I also liked the recent results in your IWLF- such as the riot that broke out at the end of your cage match between the Crusher and the Terrible Turk. I really enjoy using some of the COTG cards- but mostly just on a temporary basis- in my Legends fed. For example the Gladiators are just here for their match at my PPV tomorrow against the Road Warriors and then they will return to their own "territory." I also used lots of COTG cards temporarily for my Sammartino Invitational tag team tournament last May so I could add more teams . Plus, I thought bringing in some "outside" teams just for the tournament made it more of an invitational. Most of the COTG cards I use on a regular basis are to help to fill out the womens ranks and the undercard ranks but I will probably stop using them eventually once we get more official LOW women and enhancement talent cards.

I would love to get some more women and enhancement guys.
I may start using Maxine Babe, Ms. Liberty etc. and start a women's division
BTW I had that "riot" because Turk absolutely KILLED Crusher in an unexpectedly one-sided match that ended in doubles and I needed to do something to add some more heat
Looking forward to your PPV!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) The Great American Bash Sunday July 2, @ American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX (First 1/3 of the PPV)
The Great American Bash was preceded by a thirty minute segment of MLW: Fight Night that recapped the major story lines and incidents that led up to the matches at the Great American Bash and featured a dark match.
Dark Match: S.D. Jones won a 12 man battle royal.
note: After eliminating Playboy Buddy Rose via a low blow in the battle royal, Captain Lou Albano (who manages the Flying Redheads) surprisingly tried to eliminate Billy "Red" Lyons by sneaking up on Lyons from behind. But Lyons countered Albano's attempt at treachery and proceeded to eliminate his manager via a rapid fire dropkick.
Match #1: Killer Bees vs Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik (managed by Nikita Breznikov) in a flag match. The flag match kicked off the Great American Bash! Before the match began, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta reminded the crowd about the rules for the flag match: a US flag for the Killer Bees and a Soviet flag for the Iron Sheik and Volkoff would be placed on a pole on one side of the ring. The first tag team to grab (retrieve) their own flag AND return (capture) it to their own corner would win the match. The winning flag would then be raised to the rafters and the losers would have to pledge allegiance to the flag of the victors!
Before the match started, Nikolai Volkoff started to try to sing the Soviet national anthem but B. Brian Blair grabbed the microphone from Volkoff and said (to the roaring approval of the crowd: "The rules of the flag match are that you can only salute the Soviet flag if you win the flag match and I promise you there is no way in H**l that is going to happen here today!"
Jim Brunzell and Volkoff started the match with Volkoff in control as he gave Brunzell a head butt and two big boots to the face until Brunzell managed to make a defensive tag to Blair. Volkoff also had Blair in trouble and after giving Blair a brutal throat drop on the ropes, Volkoff started heading toward the Soviet flag but was unable to grab it as the Killer Bees successfully performed their MASKED CONFUSION routine and Brunzell gave Volkoff a SUNSET FLIP before he could reach the Soviet flag. Later in the match, Volkoff had Blair in trouble until he threw Blair into the turnbuckle only to have Blair dodge out of the way as he charged in and smashed into the empty turnbuckle paddings. As Volkoff recoiled from this hit, Blair slapped on his SLEEPER and then he and Brunzell leveled Volkoff with a BEE STING. As Volkoff was knocked out from this hit, Blair managed to successfully grab the US flag but the Iron Sheik interfered and prevented him from returning it to his corner so the referee put US flag back on the pole. The action continued to shift back and forth with lots of quick tags by both sides until Volkoff gave Blair a BACKBREAKER DROP and then successfully grabbed the Soviet flag but Blair somehow managed to recover in time to prevent Volkoff from returning the Soviet flag to his corner and thus saved the match! Blair then gave Volkoff a kick to the midsection followed by an airplane spin, and a SLEEPER which allowed him to grab the US flag once again. The Iron Sheik attempted to interfere but failed to do so as Brunzell nailed him with a flying scissors. Nothing appeared to be in the way now of Blair returning the US flag to his corner until Breznikov jumped on the apron and hit Blair in the back of the head with a small club which caused Blair to drop the flag. The end finally came when Brunzell countered a power slam attempt by Volkoff and then performed a double elbow smash along with Blair to the big Russian followed by a KILLER DROPKICK that caused Volkoff to stumble backward toward his own corner and become trapped in the ropes and Volkoff's momentum accidentally knocked his partner the Iron Sheik off the apron and to the floor! As Breznikov struggled in vain to free Volkoff from the ropes, Brunzell easily grabbed the US flag and returned it to his corner for the victory!
After the match, an extremely large US flag was raised to the rafters of the American Airlines Center. It was time for the Iron Sheik and Volkoff to salute the US flag, but the Iron Sheik and Volkoff refused to abide by this stipulation and instead attacked the Killer Bees from behind as Blair and Brunzell were pledging allegiance to the US flag. As Volkoff hit Brunzell repeatedly with a steel chair, the Iron Sheik put Blair in the CAMEL CLUTCH and refused to relinquish his potent finishing hold. But a man carrying a 2 X 4 suddenly ran into the ring and chased off Volkoff and Breznikov before turning around to hit the Iron Sheik (who was still giving Blair the CAMEL CLUTCH and had not yet seen the commotion behind him) in the back with his board! The unidentified man then grabbed a microphone and said: "My name is Hacksaw Jim Duggan. If the Iron Sheik, Volkoff, and Breznikov don't want to play by the rules then neither will I because this is the land of the free and the home of the brave." Duggan then led the Dallas crowd in thunderous chants of "USA, USA, USA" to close out the opening match of the Great American Bash.
Match #2: Danny Hodge vs the Sandman in a Singapore cane match. Hodge began the match by throwing the Sandman into the ropes but both wrestlers crashed to the floor via a double clothesline. Hodge got up first and threw Sandman into the ropes. As the Sandman rebounded off the ropes, Hodge this time grabbed a Singapore cane and smashed it into the Sandman's head. Hodge then took the tip of his cane and smashed it into the Sandman's groin. Hodge then tried to win the match with a sleeper but the Sandman had his foot on the rope. Hodge then climbed to the top of the turnbuckle and performed a deathjump that involved striking the Sandman with the Singapore cane and made the cover for the three count victory.
Match #3: The Regulators (Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. and Richard Hutton) vs the Valentines for the Regulators' United States Tag Team Championship in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest. Upon entering the ring, the Valentines once again flashed their mysterious four fingered hand sign. Hutton was wrestling his first match in several weeks since suffering a leg injury at the hands of the Valentines on MLW: All Stars.
Fall #1 The Valentines seemed determined to target Hutton's recently healed leg as Greg Valentine twice applied his dreaded FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK but Orton Jr managed to make a "pin" (submission) save to preserve the fall. But Hutton managed to counter Greg Valentine's offense and tagged in Orton Jr. The two Regulators then worked together to prevent Greg Valentine from tagging in Johnny Valentine and Hutton proceeded to win the fall by making Greg Valentine submit to his ABDOMINAL STRETCH. Regulators 1, Valentines 0
Fall #2
The Valentines maintained their apparent determination to concentrate on the recently healed Hutton by isolating him in this fall with a series of quick tags. Johnny Valentine nailed Hutton with four straight ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHERS before tagging back in Greg Valentine who proceeded to make Hutton tap out to his FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK to win this fall during which Orton Jr. never even got to tag in. Regulators 1, Valentines 1.
Fall #3 (deciding fall)
The Valentines continued to demonstrate their determination to focus on Hutton and his recently healed injury as Johnny Valentine rushed into the ring to attack Hutton to start the final fall before Orton Jr could tag in. Orton Jr urgently wanted into the ring and appeared frustrated that Hutton could not make the defensive tag as the Valentines proceeded to work Hutton over. The fall ended when Johnny Valentine pinned Hutton via an ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Valentines 2, Regulators 1. The Valentines are the new United States Tag Team Champions and they proceeded to flash their four fingered hand sign as they held up their newly won belts.
After the Valentines had left the ring area, Orton Jr went into the ring and yelled at Hutton who had suffered both of the Regulators losses in Falls 2 and 3. Hutton tried to calm down Orton Jr who then turned his back on him. But Orton Jr. suddenly turned around and viciously shoved Hutton to the mat before yelling at him and then walking back to the locker room area alone. Is this the breakup of the Regulators?
End of the First 1/3 of the Great American Bash. Second 1/3 will be posted next.
