Major League Wrestling (MLW) The Great American Bash (GAB) Sunday July 2, @ American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX (Second 1/3 of the PPV, the first 1/3 is posted above)
Match #4: Yukon Eric (accompanied by Cousin Luke) vs United States Champion Buddy Rogers (accompanied by Maxine Babe). Ring announcer Cappetta reminded the fans that if Yukon Eric wins this match he gets both the United States Championship and a date with Maxine Babe for one entire night! As Rogers entered the ring, he flashed the same mysterious four fingered hand sign that the Valentines did in the previous match. After Yukon Eric arrived in the ring with Cousin Luke he grabbed the microphone and said: "I just want to introduce my kin who traveled all the way to the big city of Dallas here to see me compete in my championship match tonight." A spotlight then shows Yukon Eric's family sitting near the front. Yukon Eric continues, "In addition to my Cousin Luke here in the ring, who you see here in those seats over there yonder is my Granny, my cousin Clem, my cousin Earleen, by brother Jethroe and my other brother Jethroe, my niece Dot, and my nephew Cassidy."
Rogers: "That's your family?! I thought somebody just let out San Quentin."
Angered by that remark, Yukon Eric charged at Rogers to start the match and applied an arm wringer to the defending United States Champion. But Rogers was able to slip out of a headlock and windup punch by Yukon Eric and responded by giving Yukon Eric a piledriver and an atomic drop that left Yukon Eric completely incapacitated on the mat. As Rogers proceeded to arrogantly strut around the ring, he suddenly reached through the ropes and sucker punched Cousin Luke who crumpled to the arena floor. Rogers, continuing to strut, then walked over to where Yukon Eric was lying on the mat and applied his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE which caused the big man to instantly tap out. Rogers retains the United States Championship with an easy victory.
But an angry Cousin Luke then entered the ring and, to the cheers of the fans, repeatedly bashed Rogers with the horseshoe around his neck. But the Valentines quickly arrived and , along with Rogers, proceeded to rough up Cousin Luke and also give Yukon Eric (who was still lying on the mat in pain) a few cheap kicks to the head. Rogers then grabbed the microphone and said: "The Horsemen have now arrived! Whoooooo!" Rogers and the Valentines then together gave the four finger hand signal as the television announcers ask why the four fingers if there are only three of them? Or is there a fourth person and if so who is the Fourth Horsemen?
Match #5: Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras vs the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express (managed by Jim Cornette) in a best 2 out of 3 falls contest for the World Tag Team Championship. Brazil and Mascaras, the team that won the Sammartino Invitational back in May, now get their shot at the World Tag Team Championship!
Fall #1
This fall started off with Cornette landing a cheap shot with his tennis racket to the knee of Bobo Brazil. Brazil then headed toward Cornette but was stopped by a ROCKET LAUNCHER from the Midnight Express. Brazil barely escaped this quick pin attempt as Mascaras made the pin save. But Stan Lane then gave Brazil a side leg drop followed by a Midnight lariat. Lane tagged in Bobby Eaton and the two of them gave Brazil a VEG-O-MATIC to win the first fall. Midnight Express 1, Brazil and Mascaras 0.
Fall #2
Brazil never managed to recover from Cornette's cheap shop to start the first fall as he was unable to manage much offense or even tag out to Mascaras as the Midnight Express performed a series of tag moves such as their Flapjack and Double Goozle to maintain control. The Midnight Express easily won this fall as Lane pinned Brazil following a ROCKET LAUNCHER to retain the World Tag Team Championship. Midnight Express 2, Brazil and Mascaras 0.
Match #6: Jimmy Snuka vs Gorgeous George in a dog collar match. George started things off with a cheap shot to Snuka with the dog collar chain. But Snuka soon turned things around with a leap frog and slam followed by a piledriver and a flying headbutt. Snuka then astonished everyone in the crowd by climbing to the top of the turnbuckle and then, with the dog collar chain attached to his neck, performing his SUPERFLY LEAP! George's neck jerked violently beacuse the dog collar chain quickly stretched to its limits as Snuka performed his amazing finisher and then crashed on top of George. As the stunned Dallas crowd erupted in chants of "holy s**t, holy s**t," Snuka pinned George for the easy three count victory.
But a masked man then ran into the ring and proceeded to pummel Snuka. The masked man then removed the dog collar chain from around George's neck but left it attached to Snuka's neck and proceeded to throw Snuka over the top rope while hanging on the chain. Snuka was being violently hanged by this unidentified individual who then pulled on the dog collar chain to drag Snuka back into the ring. The masked man then gave Snuka a reverse piledriver and then arrogantly twirled his hands three times in the air before leaving the ring area as the medical staff ran to the ring with a stretcher to help Snuka. The TV announcers ask, "Who was this masked man and why did he attack Snuka so violently?"
End of the second 1/3 of the GAB Final 1/3 will be posted next..

Major League Wrestling (MLW) The Great American Bash (GAB) Sunday July 2, @ American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX (Final 1/3 of the PPV, the first two 1/3s are posted above)
The Hot Seat: The guest is a surprise wrestler who is set to announce his signing with Major League Wrestling (MLW)!
Apter: "First of all, it has just been confirmed to me by the office of Bruno Sammartino that Hacksaw Jim Duggan, who you saw earlier tonight, will indeed be joining Major League Wrestling. "
Apter: "But there is yet another new wrestler joining Major League Wrestling tonight and he is my mystery guest on the Hot Seat here at the Great American Bash. This unidentified individual is on his way to the Hot Seat right now I am being told and, well I guess here he is now."
The guest is the masked man who attacked Jimmy Snuka in the last match!
Apter: "Who are you and why did you just attack Jimmy Snuka like that?"
The masked man removes his mask and says: "My name is Don Muraco and I just wanted to let my old friend Jimmy Snuka know that I have signed up with Major League Wrestling."
Apter: "Don Muraco! You had some great matches with Snuka back when both of you were in the Northeast territory."
Muraco: "Yeah, I kicked his a*s back then and I will do the same here in Major League Wrestling (MLW)."
Apter: "I don't know. Snuka has been successful here in MLW. He did win his dog collar match tonight against Gorgeous George before you ambushed him. How is Snuka supposed to know it was you who attacked him if you were wearing a mask?"
Muraco: "Oh, he'll know. I just gave him my HAWAIIAN HAMMER. He's felt it before and now he'll continue to feel it again. Snuka now knows that it was me, the Magnificent Muraco, who called him out tonight."
Apter: "Well I think all of MLW now needs to prepare for an all out war between Jimmy Snuka and Don Muraco. I've just received word that the steel cages for tonight's final two matched are now in place. Let's return to the ring."
Match #7: Road Warriors and Splatter vs the Gladiators and Killer Kowalski (the former manager of the Road Warriors) in a steel cage elimination tag team match. Kowalski started things off by giving Hawk an overhead body slam and then choked him in the ropes before tagging in Massacre. Massacre gave Hawk a face wrecker and then threw him into the side of the steel cage. Massacre and Brute together then gave Hawk a DECAPITATOR but Hawk kicked out at the count of 2. Hawk then maneuvered out of a Gladiator piledriver by Brute and tagged in Animal who nailed Brute with a dropkick followed by a flying shoulder ram and a POWER SLAM to pin and eliminate Brute.
But things quickly evened up as Massacre pinned Animal via THE CLEANSING.
Kowalski next eliminated Splatter via two jumping elbow smashes followed by the KOWALSKI CLAW which left Hawk all alone to face Massacre and Kowalski.
Hawk proceeded to attack Kowalski with an eye gouge followed by a vertical suplex and then a gut wrench suplex. Hawk then threw Kowalski into the steel cage and the crowd cheered loudly as Kowalski's face became instantly covered in blood. Hawk then climbed to the top turnbuckle and, because he could not execute the DOOMSDAY DEVICE due to Animal's earlier elimination, gave Kowalski a devastating FLYING CLOTHESLINE which resulted in a three count. It now came down to Hawk vs Massacre!
In this deciding fall, Massacre dominated Hawk with a series of punishing moves that included eye gouges, head stomps, face wreckers, Gladiator piledrivers and THE CLEANSING. Although Hawk valiantly withstood lots of these moves from Massacre, the end came when Massacre threw Hawk into the steel cage twice in a row and then landed a falling knee smash for the victory. The winners: Killer Kowalski and the Gladiators with Massacre as the only survivor.
Match #8- The War Games ("The Match Beyond"): Antonino Rocca, Frank Gotch, Dan Severn, and Giant Baba vs the Heenan Family: World Champion Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker. At the start of this match which involved two rings completely surrounded by a giant steel cage, ring announcer Cappetta reminded the fans that one man from each team would start off wrestling inside the steel cage and then after a five minuter interval one team would send in another wrestler. From then on, the two sides would alternate sending in a wrestler every two minutes until all eight men were in the ring and only then could one side win this match via either pinfall or submission. Cappetta further reminded the crowd that the Heenan Family had won the strategic advantage of sending in the third, fifth, and seventh men into the War Games due to their victory in a match several weeks ago on MLW:Showtime.
Giant Baba and King Kong Bundy started off as the first two men in the War Games. Bundy controlled most of the action during this time and even gave Baba a devastating AVALANCHE- but, since no pin attempt could be attempted yet in the War Games, Bundy continued his onslaught. Baba finally made a comeback with a series of headbutts and knee lifts. But it became time for the third man to enter the War Games: Ox Baker.
Baker came inside the steel cage only to be thrown immediately into the turnbuckle and then given a back suplex by Baba. But soon Baker and Bundy turned things around and had Baba on the defensive. Bundy was even able to hit Baba with another AVALANCHE. The buzzer then sounded for the fourth man to enter the War Games: Antonino Rocca.
Rocca entered the steel cage and attacked Bundy. Meanwhile Baba started to gain the offensive against Baker. Rocca had Bundy in trouble by applying his ARGENTINIAN BACKBREAKER. Rocca then placed Bundy in between the two rings and then strongly whipped him into the side of the steel cage. Bundy's head slammed off of the cage and then bounced heavily off of the turnbuckle. Bundy looked virtually defeated but Rocca kept up his assault as it was a War Games match. Meanwhile, Baba charged at Baker. But Baker gave a drop toe hold to Baba into the second rope and then drove his knee into the back of Baba's head which caused Baba's face to grind into the steel cage. As Rocca worked on Bundy and Baker worked on Baba, the fifth man entered the War Games: World Champion Nick Bockwinkel.
To help out Bundy, Bockwinkel immediately went after Rocca. But Rocca soon recovered and threw Bockwinkel into the other ring to separate him from Bundy. A battered Bundy tried to come to Bockwinkel's assistance but Rocca turned him away with some flying dropkicks. In the other corner, Baba and Baker continued to trade blows against each other as Baba concentrated on seeking revenge against the man who sent him to the hospital via a HEARTPUNCH last April. Despite a 3 on 2 advantage, the Heenan Family was not doing too well and things only became worse for them with the entry of the sixth man into the War Games: Frank Gotch.
As Gotch entered the ring, Bundy tried to ambush him but Gotch easily evaded Bundy's attempted bulldog and countered with a crossface and armbar before giving Bundy a running face slam into the steel cage. Gotch then proceed to come to the aid of Rocca who was on the defensive against Bockwinkel. As Gotch came to his rescue, Rocca was soon attacked from behind by Bundy. Baba and Baker continued their intense personal battle against each other as Baba gave Baker a back suplex and then catapulted him face first into the steel cage. It was now time for the seventh man to enter the War Games- Harley Race.
Race entered the steel cage and, as Bobby Heenan barked directions from the outside, immediately assisted Bundy in double teaming Rocca. By this time, Bundy, Baker, Baba, and Rocca were all gushing blood. Bockwinkel attempted to shove Gotch into the cage but Gotch elbowed Bockwinkel in the gut and then smashed the head of the World Champion into the cage. It was now time for the eight man to enter the War Games: Dan Severn.
Before entering the War Games, Severn smashed Heenan's head into the outside of the steel cage. Severn then went right at his enemy Bundy. As all eight men were violently attacking each other, Bundy missed a short clothesline attempt against Severn who responded with a choke sleeper that caused Bundy, who had been in the match the longest for the Heenan Family, to submit. As the battered Heenan Family exited the War Games in defeat, the team of Rocca, Gotch, Baba, and Severn had their hands raised in victory.
Splatter, on behalf of Major League Wrestling, tells everybody to have an awesome Fourth as the Great American Bash comes to a close and the screen fades to black.

What? the Road warriors lost! Incredible. Stunned can't believe it. Great job and keep u the great job Yeah, I was really hoping that the Road Warriors and Splatter would defeat the Gladiators and Killer Kowalski. But I might use this result to set up an eventual rematch- perhaps in a War Games match with each side selecting one more partner!

Nice work again so far. I wondering what Blair was thinking in the Clutch! Hodge with the Singapore Cane! Priceless! I honestly was not even planning on introducing Duggan yet. But the match ended in double "3s" which instantly caused me to think of the match at Wrestlemania "3" between the Killer Bees vs the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff that Duggan interferred in. So I decided right at that moment to sort of reenact that event. I really enjoyed playing out the Singapore cane match between Danny Hodge and the Sandman. I am thinking this might become the debut of "Hardcore Hodge" in Major League Wrestling.

Nice card. I can't believe Brazil and Mascaras got beat 2-0 in that match. Even against TMX you'd think they could have taken one fall if not the whole match.

PRESS RELEASE
Major League Wrestling (MLW) is currently on a BRIEF Summer hiatus (I am currently on the Road without regular computer access).
During this time period, MLW's owner and general manager Bruno Sammartino is concentrating on adding many additional wrestlers to the roster of Major League Wrestling. In addition to Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Don Muraco whose signings were announced at the recent Great American Bash PPV, Sammartino's office has confirmed that some of the new wrestlers who have signed on with Major League Wrestling include Larry Zbyszko, the Crusher, Larry Hennig, Curt Hennig, Ray Stevens, Jim Londos, Bob Orton Sr, the Vachons, Sherri Martel, Steve Corino, and Diamond Dallas Page. Sammartino's office is still currently working on adding even more wrestlers to Major League Wrestling!
To accommodate the huge influx of wrestlers, Major League Wrestling will also be dramatically altering both its basic organizational structure and the format in which it presents its shows.
Stay tuned for the next press release which will include the entire list of wrestlers signed by Major League Wrestling and an explanation for MLW's new format!

PRESS RELEASE (7/16/06)
The office of Bruno Sammartino, the owner and general manager of Major League Wrestling (MLW), has 2 major announcements.
FIRST, MLW has updated its roster with the signing of over 25 additional wrestlers! Before announcing the names of the incoming wrestlers, MLW wants to post a brief reminder of the wrestlers and managers who were ALREADY on the roster: Antonino Rocca, Dan Severn, Frank Gotch, Giant Baba, Killer Kowalski, Missing Link, Road Warriors, Midnight Express, Jim Cornette, Maxine Babe, Buddy Rogers, the Valentines, Jimmy Snuka, Gorgeous George, Mil Mascaras, Bobo Brazil, Yukon Eric, Cousin Luke, Cowboy Bob Orton Jr., Killer Bees, Nikolai Volkoff, Iron Sheik, Nikita Breznikov, Danny Hodge, the Sandman, the Flying Redheads, Captain Lou Albano, Johnny Valiant, Splatter, S. D. Jones, Playboy Buddy Rose, the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell), Cassandra, Richard Hutton, Virgil, "Precious" Paul Ellering, and Bobby Heenan and his family- Nick Bockwinkel, Harley Race, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker.
At least for now, Jimmy Valiant has left MLW and the Gladiators have returned to their regular territory as their contract with Kowalski expired following their victory over the Road Warriors and Splatter in the steel cage elimination match at the Great American Bash earlier this month. While Hawk, Animal, and Splatter demand a rematch against the Gladiators, that match up will have to come at another time.
Joining the above list of wrestlers in MLW are: Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Don Muraco, Diamond Dallas Page, Rick Rude, Jim Londos, Larry Zbyszko, the Crusher, Bob Orton Sr., Ted DiBiase (Legends Teams card), Ivan Koloff, Steve Corino, Justin Credible, Larry Hennig, Curt Hennig, the Vachons, Ray Stevens, Steve Williams, the Armstrongs, the Boogie Woogie Man, Bruiser Brody, Dennis Condrey, Phantasy, Sherri Martel, Ida Mae Martinez, Koko B. Ware, and Iron Mike DiBiase.
SECOND, to accommodate this large influx of wrestlers, Sammartino's office has announced that there will be a brand split in Major League Wrestling (MLW). One brand will be called the American Wrestling Association (AWA) and the other brand will be called the National Wrestling Association (NWA). Sammartino's office noted the similarity Major League Wrestling (MLW) with its separate AWA and NWA brands now has with Major League Baseball with its separate American League and National Leagues.
The main show for the AWA brand will be called RAW and will be held on Thursday nights. The main show for the NWA brand will be called Nitro and will be held on Friday nights. The AWA's "B" show will be AWA: Action shown on Saturdays and it will be immediately followed by the NWA"s "B" show NWA:Animosity. In other words, there will now be twice as many MLW shows each week due to the brand split!
A draft will determine which wrestlers from the above lists will go to the AWA brand and which wrestlers from the above lists will go to the NWA brand. There will also be periodic draft lotteries and trades between the two brands. All current champions will maintain their championships. Major League Wrestling's next press release in the coming days will list the results of the draft and then it will be for time for Major League Wrestling to end its hiatus!

Major League Wrestling's Draft
MLW's draft as a result of its major roster expansion and resulting brand split has been completed and the results are listed below! As mentioned in today's earlier press release, the NWA had the first pick and the AWA had the second pick and the two brands alternated picks from that point on until all of the wrestlers listed on today's earlier press release (see previous post) were selected. While there will be periodic draft lotteries and trades between the two brands, for now here are the NWA and AWA's starting rosters:
NWA 1. Frank Gotch 2. Maxine Babe and the Horsemen: United States Champion Buddy Roger and United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines 3. Harley Race 4. Road Warriors 5. World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express 6. Giant Baba 7. Killer Kowalski 8. Dan Severn 9. "Wild" Red Berry and the Fabulous Kangaroos 10. Bruiser Brody 11. Rick Rude 12. Steve Williams 13. Diamond Dallas Page 14. Ivan Koloff 15. Bob Orton Sr. 16. Ted DiBiase (Legends Teams) 17. Danny Hodge 18. The Armstrongs 19. Phantasy with the Sandman and Justin Credible 20. Richard Hutton 21. Steve Corino 22. Dennis Condrey 23. The Terrible Turk 24. Billy "Red" Lyons 25. Boogie Woogie Man 26. Jim Cornette 27. Johnny Valiant 28. Virgil 29. "Precious" Paul Ellering
AWA 1. Antonino Rocca 2. Bobby Heenan and the Heenan Family: World Champion Nick Bockwinkel, King Kong Bundy, and Ox Baker 3. Bobo Brazil 4. Killer Bees 5. The Double Axe Attack (Larry Hennig and Curt Hennig) 6. Jim Londos 7. Mil Mascaras 8. Jimmy Snuka 9. Nikita Breznikov and the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff 10. Don Muraco 11. Ray Stevens 12. The Crusher 13. Larry Zbyszko 14. Gorgeous George 15. Hacksaw Jim Duggan 16. Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. 17. Yukon Eric 18. The Vachons 19. Cassandra and the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell) 20. The Missing Link 21. Playboy Buddy Rose 22. Cousin Luke 23. Koko B. Ware 24. S.D. Jones 25. Iron Mike DiBiase 26. Red Bastien 27. Sherri Martel 28. Captain Lou Albano 29. Ida Mae Martinez
Notes: Although efforts were made to keep all current factions and tag teams intact, it was not possible in all cases. As a result, Harley Race was drafted away from the Heenan Family and into the NWA and the Flying Redheads were split up as Bastien and Lyons were each drafted into separate brands. Since the Regulators broke up at the Great American Bash PPV, there was no effort made to draft them together. Splatter, MLW's spokesman, will occasionally wrestle on both the AWA and the NWA brands of Major League Wrestling.
The draft and MLW's summer hiatus are now both officially over. Get ready because Major League Wrestling (with now twice as many shows per week with its 2 brands) is finally coming back!

Warriors, Midnights, Kangaroos, Armstrongs...that's some great tag battles there! In addition to those teams you mentioned, the NWA brand also got my current United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines. I think perhaps the AWA brand may have put Isiah Thomas in charge of drafting its tag teams. GWFfanTrav and CPB, Thanks for the feedback! The first thing in store for my two brands are tournaments. Because both the World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express and the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines were both drafted by the NWA, the AWA needs their own tag team champion and there will be about an 8 team tournament for that. Also, because my World Champion Nick Bockwinkel was drafted by the AWA, the NWA brand needs a champion and there will be about a 20 man tournament for that. But more on that in the coming days!
