Thanks guys. I got the Beat the Clock idea from watching RAW. I am still surprised that Londos had the best time in the Beat the Clock matches and gets to enter the Elimination Chamber last at my New Year's Revolution PPV- what an advantage for the Golden Greek.

With now only 2 days to go until the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents its Hardcore Holidays PPV, it is now time for this week's edition of NWA:NITRO!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday December 15, 2006 in Denver, CO (First Half of the show)
Match #1: Steve Corino (accompanied by Hardcore Hodge) defeated Sandman (accompanied by Justin Credible and managed by Phantasy) by DQ.
- this was a singles match between members of 2 enemy tag teams in Operation:Pimp (Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino) and the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible) who in 2 days of Hardcore Holidays will compete in a Singapore Cane tag team match. Last week on NWA:NITRO, Hardcore Hodge defeated Credible in singles competition.
- this was a competitive match to open tonight's show as both Corino and Sandman each scored pin attempts against each other. The end came when Sandman threw Corino out of the ring where he (Corino) was then double teamed by Sandman and Credible. The referee came out to try and stop the double team but got shoved away by the Sandman for the DQ.
Match #2: Rick Rude and Bob Orton Sr defeated Diamond Dallas Page (accompanied by Diamond Doll Maxine Babe) and Richard Hutton.
- this tag team match pitted DDP and Hutton against their respective opponents in Rude and Orton Sr at Hardcore Holidays where DDP takes on his enemy Rude in a coal miner's glove match and Orton Sr takes on his enemy Hutton in a bullrope match.
- the team of DDP and Hutton started off strong as DDP twice almost pinned Rude via a DIAMOND CUTTER. But the end came when Rude gave Hutton a RUDE AWAKENING. Hutton kicked out but Rude then tagged in Orton Sr who immediately hit Hutton with a PILEDRIVER for the victory.
Splatter's major announcement: The voice of Splatter, MLW's spokesman, comes on over the intercom in the arena and tells everyone that Major League Wrestling will be celebrating its one-year anniversary in late March. And to celebrate this major milestone, Major League Wrestling will put on the biggest card in its history as wrestlers from both its AWA and NWA brands will compete in an event called Wrestlemania scheduled for that time period! Splatter finishes by telling everyone that the road to Wrestlemania has now begun!
Match #3: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki defeated Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk by DQ.
- this regular tag team match served as a tuneup for both teams who are set to meet each other in a tag team steel chain match at Hardcore Holidays.
- this turned out to be a short match that ended when Ivan Koloff was DQd for attacking Inoki with his chains. But chains will be legal and indeed attached to the necks of all of these 4 men in their match in 2 days at Hardcore Holidays!
Backstage: The Armstrongs walk up to the Boogie Woogie Man who is walking toward the ring dressed as Santa and carrying a bag full of gifts.
Brad Armstrong: "Boogie Woogie Man, what's going on?"
Boogie Woogie Man (donning a red Santa hat): "It's time for Boogie Woogie Claus."
Boogie Woogie Man then walks put into the crowd and starts throwing gifts to the kids in attendance when all of a sudden he is interrupted by a voice from the ring saying: "MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. CANADAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Mr. Canada (standing in the ring): "Boogie Woogie Man, how dare you interrupt my allocated ring time with this stupidity? The only gift those brats in the crowd need is the opportunity to look upon the greatness of me- Mr. Canada."
The Denver crowd begins to boo Mr. Canada.
Boogie Woogie Man (entering the ring): "Billy "Red" Lyons, I don't like your new attitude and I challenge you a match right here and right now."
Mr. Canada: "The name is now Mr. Canada chump and I accept your challenge. But it will take place in 2 days at Hardcore Holidays in Vancouver B.C. where I had an open challenge to meet me in a Canadian hardcore match which you apparently just acccepted."
Mr. Canada then gave Boogie Woogie Man some rapid fire dropkicks and then grabbed his bag with all the toys and left for the back without distributing any more of the toys to the kids in the crowd.
End of First Half. Second Half will be posted next and includes the World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos on the Hot Seat, the Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, and Dan Severn and Frank Gotch vs their respective opponents at Hardcore Holidays in MLW Champion Buddy Rogers and United States Champion Harley Race in a no dq and no countout tag team match.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA: NITRO Friday December 15, 2006 in Denver, CO (Second Half of the show, First Half is posted above)
Match #4: Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams (managed by Killer Kowalski) defeated the Road Warriors.
- this turned out to be an awesome tune up match for these two enemy tag teams before they meet up later this weekend in their Hell in a Cell match at Hardcore Holidays as there was a combined total of 13 unsuccessful pin attempts from the two teams. But the match finally ended when Brody pinned Animal via a twisting vertical suplex. Will the same result occur this Sunday when the Road Warriors meet Brody and Dr. Death in a Hell in a cell match?
Hot Seat: This week's edition of the Hot Seat took place outside in the parking lot where Bill Apter interviewed the World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo from atop a scaffold. From the top of the scaffold, the Kangaroos hurled watermelons they named Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, Dennis Condrey, and Jim Cornette down toward the parking lot where they smashed hard on the pavement and then claimed the same result would happen to the Midnight Express in their scaffold match at Hardcore Holidays this Sunday.

Match #5, the main event: MLW Champion Buddy Rogers and United States Champion Harley Race (accompanied by George Hackenschmidt and United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines) defeated Dan Severn and Frank Gotch.
-this match pitted current champions Rogers and Race against their opponents at Hardcore Holidays where Rogers will defend his MLW Championship against Severn in a 4 weapons of destruction match and Race will defend his United States Championship against Gotch in a ladder match.
-Severn and Gotch started off great and dominated the first part of this match. But, thanks to interference from their fellow Horsemen in Hackenschmidt and the Valentines, Rogers and Race won the match when Rogers pinned Severn via dropkicks. Will Rogers also be victorious in defending his MLW Championship against Severn in their 4 Weapons of Destruction match a Hardcore Holidays this Sunday?
- As the Four Horsemen celebrate their victory tonight, the show comes to an end.

It is now time for the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) to present Hardcore Holidays- a PPV in which feuding enemies try to take each other out in specialty hardcore matches!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Hardcore Holiday- NWA brand Sunday December 17 (broadcast date) Vancouver, BC, Canada in GM Place (AKA "The Garage") (First-Third of the PPV)
Hardcore Holidays was preceded by a 30 minute segment of Major League Wrestling: Fight Night in which the major story lines leading up to tonight's matches were recapped and one dark match was shown.
Dark Match: George Hackenschmidt defeated Ted DiBiase via RUSSIAN BEAR HUG.
Match #1: Operation:Pimp (Steve Corino and Hardcore Hodge) vs the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible, managed by Phantasy) in a Singapore cane tag team match.
-These two enemy tag teams also wrestled against each other at Sin City Showdown in October in a tag team tables match which was won by Operation:Pimp.
This match started with Corino in the ring against Credible. Credible began the match by trying to give Corino a hip toss but Corino managed to land on his feet (a roll of 2 on Corino's L2D) near where a Singapore cane was lying on the mat which he picked up and started using against Credible. Credible was finally able to make a defensive tag to the Sandman who managed to pick up a Singapore cane and proceeded to go an offensive onslaught against Corino until Corino was able to make a defensive tag to Hardcore (Danny) Hodge. Hodge, however faired poorly as the Sandman and Credible used a series of quick tags to keep him on the defensive. Hodge managed to survive four pin attempts and even attempted a brief comeback when he deflected a flying elbow smash from the Sandman and then tried to smash the Sandman with a Singapore cane. But the Sandman ducked and instead smashed Hodge with a Singapore cane. The Sandman then once more used his SINGAPORE CANE to finish off Hodge and covered him with one hand hooking Hodge's legs with the other hand holding the Singapore cane straight up which Credible grabbed for extra leverage to ensure the victory.
Winners: The Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible)
Match #2: Boogie Woogie Man vs Mr. Canada (Billy "Red" Lyons) in a Canadian hardcore match.
The rafters of GM place shook with the cheers of the fans in Vancouver as Mr. Canada's entrance music, the Canadian national anthem, began playing. Mr. Canada wore a Vancouver Canucks jersey with Henrik Sedin's #33 on it to the further approval of the crowd. Usually viewed as a heel in the United States, Mr. Canada shook hands with his many fans in the crowd on the way to the ring. Then the music for the Boogie Woogie Man began playing. As he made his way to the ring, the Boogie Woogie Man (usually regarded as a fan favorite) was surprised to see the crowd give him a hostile reaction which included jeers and thrown beers.
Before the match began, the lights in GM Place went out except for a spotlight in the center of the ring that focused on Mr. Canada. Mr. Canada then raised up his hand and a microphone slowly dropped into it from the ceiling. Mr. Canada then said:
"I weigh in tonight at 6' 2" and 232 lbs. I hail from Nova Scotia, Canada (this got an even louder response from the Canadian crowd) My name (with the crowd shouting along) is MRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. CANADAAAAAAAAAAAA! CAAAAAAAANAAAAAAAADAAAAAAAA! CANADA!"
As Mr. Canada was preoccupied with finishing his introduction, the Boogie Woogie Man took the opportunity to catch Mr. Canada unprepared by beginning the match with a running elbow smash followed by a series of roundhouse punches. To regroup, Mr. Canada left the ring where he was followed by the Boogie Woogie Man. But Mr. Canada grabbed a metal pipe from underneath the ring which he used to smash Boogie Woogie Man in the head. Mr. Canada and the Boogie Woogie Man continued to brawl outside of the ring and briefly into the crowd before returning to the ring where a highly competitive match ensued as both wrestlers went on impressive offensive runs and as the offensive switched back and forth. Near the end of the match, the Boogie Woogie Man had Mr. Canada in trouble with his SLEEPER. As Mr. Canada flailed his arms in desperation, he managed to grab the ropes (rolled a # higher than his current PIN) which forced the Boogie Woogie Man to release his finishing hold. Mr. Canada then nailed Boogie Woogie Man with a low blow and applied his own SLEEPER HOLD to which the Boogie Woogie Man submitted.
Winner: Mr. Canada
As an exhausted but victorious Mr. Canada made his way back to the locker room, the crowd gave him a standing ovation with repeated chants of "Canada."
Match #3: D**k Hutton vs Bob Orton Sr in a bullrope match.
The offense went back and forth in this match until Hutton managed to block a wild haymaker from Orton Sr. Hutton then with one hand placed the cowbell on the top turnbuckle and then with the other hand slammed Orton's head onto it repeatedly. As a bloody Orton Sr stumbled backward, Hutton clotheslined him to the mat and then grabbed the cowbell and used it to give Orton Sr a falling fist drop which pushed the sharp edge into Orton Sr's forehead. Hutton then pinned Orton Sr for the victory.
Winner: D**k Hutton.
End of the First Third of Hardcore Holidays. The Second Third will be posted next and will include Diamond Dallas Page vs Rick Rude in a coal miner's glove match, Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki vs Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk in a tag team steel chain match, and the World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos vs the Midnight Express in a scaffold match!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Hardcore Holiday- NWA brand Sunday December 17 (broadcast date) Vancouver, BC, Canada in GM Place (AKA "The Garage") (Second-Third of the PPV, First Third is posted above.)
Match #4: Diamond Dallas Page (accompanied by Diamond Doll Maxine Babe) vs Rick Rude in a coal miner's glove match.
Rude began this match by immediately running to and climbing up the pole in an attempt to grab the coal miner's glove so he could use it to hit DDP. But DDP chased after Rude and a brawl took place at the top of the pole that caused both DDP and Rude to crash to the mat without the glove Although Rude recovered first, the action shifted back and forth until Rude hit DDP with a suplex and then stunned him with a clothesline to make another attempt to climb up the pole. But Rude took too much time going up the pole as Diamond Doll Maxine Babe (who Rude has been attracted to for awhile) came over to distract him which allowed DDP time to recover and also climb up the pole where he slammed Rude's head into the post. As Rude crashed to the mat, DDP grabbed the coal miner's glove and climbed down the pole to go after Rude. But before DDP could hit Rude with the glove, Rude stunned him with a low kick which caused DDP to drop the glove. Rude then won the scramble for the glove and ran over to the top rope which he leaped off of and delivered a deadly fist drop with the coal miner's glove to DDP's head. But Rude was unable to get the 3 count victory because one of DDP's feet landed on the ropes- but this only briefly delayed the end of the match which was won by Rude who immediately put an already downed DDP away via a swinging neckbreaker followed by the RUDE AWAKENING.
Winner: Rick Rude (note: For this match, I used the kick a*s coal miner's glove charts that are included in the recent PNW set).
Advertisement for Wrestlemania: An advertisement is shown that says Major League Wrestling (MLW) will be celebrating its one year anniversary at the end of March with a major PPV called Wrestlemania. The advertisement says that Wrestlemania will be a joint production by both the AWA and NWA brands of Major League Wrestling and will be the biggest card in the history of Major League Wrestling (MLW)!
Match #5: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki vs Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk in a steel chain tag team match.
For this match, Baba was chained to the Terrible Turk and Inoki was chained to Koloff.
Both the Terrible Turk and Koloff started off this match in control against their chained opponents Baba and Inoki respectively. But Baba was able to turn things around quickly when he moved out of the way of the Terrible Turk who was trying to deliver a falling fist to the head from the top turnbuckle while holding the chain and instead crashed to the mat. Baba then gave the Terrible Turk a NECKBREAKER DROP. But Koloff, while he was battling Inoki, was close enough to make the pin save.
Koloff had Inoki in serious trouble and almost won the match with his RUSSIAN BEARHUG. But the offensive shifted over to Inoki who went berserk with the chain which he aggressively used to choke Koloff before throwing him into the ropes and viciously clotheslining him with the steel chain. As Baba continued to battle the Terrible Turk on the other side of the ring, Inoki proceeded to use the chain to tie Koloff to the ropes and then gave Koloff a bow and arrow to which the choking Koloff submitted. Both Koloff and the Terrible Turk were bleeding heavily as the bell sounded to end the match.
Winners: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki
Advertisement for Royal Rumble: An advertisement is shown about another upcoming PPV called the Royal Rumble which says the main event of this PPV will involve 30 wrestlers (15 from the AWA brand and 15 from the NWA brand) who will randomly enter the match at two minute intervals. The advertisement says that the wrestlers will be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope and that the winner of the Royal Rumble will receive a main event title match at Wrestlemania!
Match #6: World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos (managed by Captain Kangaroo- Albano) vs the Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane, accompanied by Dennis Condrey and managed by Jim Cornette) in a scaffold match (non-title).
Before this match began, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta reminded the fans that the two tag teams will be competing on the steel scaffold 20 feet above the ring and that the team that can throw both of their opponents onto the mat below will be the winner!
The match began with Roy Heffernan wrestling Eaton on one end of the scaffold while Al Costello wrestled Lane on the other end of the scaffold.
Heffernan and Eaton battled furiously with each trying to throw the other off the scaffold. But Eaton seemed in command as he gave Heffernan a superplex from the top of the guardrails and onto the steel platform.
On the other side of the scaffold, Costello seemed in control until Lane maneuvered out of a double leg nelson and nailed Costello with an enzuigiri followed by a Midnight Lariat that caused Costello to fall off the scaffold. But Costello luckily managed to grab a handhold from beneath the scaffold from which he swung above the ring before managing to propel himself back onto the scaffold to once again confront Lane!
Meanwhile, on the other side of the scaffold, Eaton was still in control and gave Heffernan a devastating running bulldog onto the steel platform. Eaton then whipped Heffernan into the guard rails and charged after him, but Heffernan ducked and Eaton sailed over the top rail and over the side of the scaffold where he landed on the mat to be eliminated from the match!
Seeing Eaton get eliminated, Cornette desperately ordered Condrey to climb up the scaffold and fight the Kangaroos which caused Captain Kangaroo to react with outrage because this was a clear violation of the rules.
Meanwhile on the scaffold, Lane proved no match against both of the remaining Kangaroos who working together soon sent him over the side of the scaffold and onto the mat via their BOOMERANG finisher. Suddenly, Condrey reached the top and attacked the surprised Kangaroos from behind. But Condrey also proved no match for both of the Kangaroos who quickly also managed to send Condrey over the side of the scaffold and onto the mat via their BOOMERANG finisher.
On the ground, Captain Kangaroo was still furious at Cornette's attempt to cheat by also sending Condrey up the scaffold which could have led to a serious injury to the Kangaroos. Captain Kangaroo then got on the microphone and, with one hand pointed at Cornette, said: "Jim Cornette, I'm Captain Kangaroo and I'm coming for you!" A frightened Cornette then climbed up the scaffold in an attempt to get away from Captain Kangaroo who followed him up the rungs of the scaffold. Upon reaching the top of the scaffold , Cornette realized he forgot that the Kangaroos were still up there and now he was trapped between them and Captain Kangaroo. Cornette pleaded for mercy, but Captain Kangaroo gave him a hip toss followed by a low blow and a Sicilian slam to send Cornette flying off the scaffold and crashing hard onto the mat below as the crowd roared its approval.
Winners: Fabulous Kangaroos (note: for this scaffold match, I used the awesome chart I found about two years ago in the House Rules section of Chris Ingersol's discussion board)
End of Second Third. Final Third will be posted next and includes the Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a Hell in a Cell match, Frank Gotch challenging Harley Race for the United States Championship in a ladder match, and Dan "the Beast" Severn challenging MLW Champion Buddy Rogers in a Four Weapons of Destruction match!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) Hardcore Holiday- NWA brand Sunday December 17 (broadcast date) Vancouver, BC, Canada in GM Place (AKA "The Garage") (Final-Third of the PPV, First and Second Thirds are posted above.)
Match #7: Road Warriors vs Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams (managed by Killer Kowalski) in a Hell in a Cell match.
-After many violent battles between each other, these two enemy teams came into tonight's Hell in a Cell match determined to finish each other off in this feud-ending match.
In this match, Animal mostly fought Brody while Hawk mostly fought Dr. Death. Animal got a major advantage early over Brody because he hit him with a series of spike piledrivers. Meanwhile, Hawk (who started bleeding early after Williams smashed him face-first into the cell) and Williams were trading offense against each other and they both started to climb the walls of the Cell while battling each other. But when they both arrived near the top of the Cell, Williams gave Hawk a strong elbow smash that sent Hawk crashing to the floor. But after Williams climbed down after him, Hawk regained control of the match and proceeded to smash Williams' head into all four sides of the cell which caused Williams to bleed heavily. As Hawk continued to pummel Williams, Animal gave Brody (who he dominated throughput this match) a flying shoulder ram for the pinfall victory to make the Road Warriors the decisive winners in their feud with Brody and Williams.
After the Road Warriors were announced as the winners, Kowalski (the former manager of the Road Warriors) entered the cell and attempted to attack Hawk and Animal from behind. But Hawk caught Kowalski and smashed him into the side of the cell. Kowalski was then given a double clothesline from Hawk and Animal who then, to the cheers of the crowd, proceeded to finish off Kowalski with a DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Winners: Road Warriors
Match #8: Frank Gotch vs United States Champion Harley Race in a ladder match.
Race began this match by heading straight for the ladder but Gotch prevented him from doing this by giving Race a double leg takedown and then proceeding to smash Race's head repeatedly into the ladder. Gotch controlled most of this match and had Race clearly in trouble when George Hackenschmidt, from Race's faction the Four Horsemen, suddenly appeared. Hackenschmidt tried to attack Gotch from behind with a clothesline but Gotch ducked and Hackenschmidt smashed hard into the ladder instead. Gotch then threw Hackenschmidt out of the ring where he crumpled to the floor. Gotch continued working over Race and appeared set to win the match by climbing the ladder to grab the United States Championship when the Valentines- also fellow members of Race's faction the Four Horsemen- ran down to the ring and attacked Gotch. After double teaming Gotch, the Valentines left the ringside area as a smiling Race then grabbed the ladder and began climbing it to get the United States Championship. But before Race could reach the belt, Gotch managed to kick the ladder over and Race, in the process of falling to the mat, got clotheslined by the top rope. Gotch then went over to Race and applied his GOTCH TOEHOLD as Race tried to tap to signal his submission. Although Race's tapping out did not end the match, Race was still too weakened from Gotch's finishing hold to prevent Gotch from immediately going up the ladder and grabbing the belt to win the United States Championship!
Winner: Frank Gotch. Gotch wins the United States Championship.
Backstage: MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino is in his office when Mr. Canada (Billy "Red" Lyons) walks in.
Mr. Canada: "Bruno Sammartino, after my victory over the Boogie Woogie Man earlier tonight, me and my millions of Canadian fans demand that I, Mr. Canada, receive a spot in the Royal Rumble so I can have a right to earn a main event title shot at Wrestlemania."
Sammartino: "I agree with you Mr. Canada. In fact you might even have a title match at the Royal Rumble! On the next edition of NWA:NITRO, I am taking the 3 singles winners of tonights non-championship matches- that's D**k Hutton, Rick Rude, and you Mr. Canada- and putting you 3 in a triple threat elimination # 1 contenders match. The winner of this match of Hutton vs Rude vs Mr. Canada will then challenge the winner of tonight's title match between Dan Severn and Buddy Rogers for the MLW Championship at the Royal Rumble! The two losers of this match on the next edition of NWA:NITRO will then be automatically inserted into the Royal Rumble."
Mr. Canada starts grinning as he just learned he will have 2 upcoming opportunities to win a title match.
Backstage: Harley Race walks up to fellow Four Horsemen member and MLW Champion Buddy Rogers.
Race: "Buddy, you told me the Horsemen would be there tonight to back me up in my match vs Gotch. Well they did not get the job done and now I have lost the United States Championship!"
Rogers: "I sent out Hackenschmidt and the Valentines. But Harley I can't help it if you can't climb the ladder to win that match."
Race: "Why didn't you also come out to help me yourself?"
Rogers: "Because I have to focus on defending my MLW Championship tonight against former MMA star Dan "the Beast" Severn in a Four Weapons of Destruction match. I don't have time to worry about your secondary title."
Race: "Buddy there is going to come a time when I get my shot at the title and if you are the one holding it at that time, our association together in the Four Horsemen won't hold me back."
Race then walks off as the announcers comment that it looks like there might be tensions forming within the Four Horsemen between Buddy Rogers and Harley Race.
Match #9: Dan "The Beast" Severn vs MLW Champion Buddy Rogers in a Four Weapons of Destruction match (using chart in Ringside Companion 2107).
-Before the match began, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta reminded fans that in this match both wrestler are allowed to use four weapons: a steel chain, barbed wire, a stun rod, and a turnbuckle with electric shocks.
Despite the hardcore nature of this match, Severn and Rogers started off wrestling scientifically and impressively managed to counter each other's moves for the first few minutes. The action continued to shift back and forth with neither Severn or Rogers getting a clear advantage and with both men preventing their opponent from reaching any of the weapons. But then Severn was unable to execute a hip toss against Rogers who then grabbed the chain which he placed around Severn's neck. As Rogers was using the chain to choke Severn, he then used the chain to whip the Beast headfirst into the turnbuckle with the barbed wire on it. Rogers then gave Severn an elbow drop followed by a jumping knee smash ad then his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE which caused Severn to tap out.
Winner: Buddy Rogers. Rogers retains the MLW Championship.
Four Horsemen members Hackenschmidt and the Valentines come out and help Rogers celebrate his victory. But Race is conspicuous by his absence. As the show comes to an end, the announcers again ask just how cohesive are the Four Horsemen now and remind everyone to tune in again next weekend for an episode of AWA:RAW and then for NEW Years Revolution which will be presented by MLW's AWA brand.

With the completion of Hardcore Holidays (results posted above), it is now time for Major League Wrestling (MLW) to announce its annual award winners! Today, MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino is set to announce the recipient of Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Best Wrestler Award.
Wrestler of the Year: Buddy Rogers Rogers ended the year as MLW Champion and is currently on his second reign with that title. In addition, before starting his first reign as MLW Champion, Rogers also held the United States Championship for several months and for a couple of months even represented himself well as a double champion when he simultaneously held both the MLW Championship and the United States Championship. Also, against improbable odds, Rogers successfully defended both his MLW Championship and his United States Championship against both Frank Gotch and Diamond Dallas Page in the main event at Summer Slam in a triple threat two falls match. The first fall was for Rogers' United States Championship and the second fall was for Rogers' MLW Championship but Rogers won both falls to retain both titles that night.
Honorable mention: A) Frank Gotch-Gotch had one reign as MLW Champion and two reigns as United States Champion. Gotch's second reign as United States Champion recently came as a result of his victory over Harley Race in a ladder match at Hardcore Holidays. B) Nick Bockwinkel- Bockwinkel is MLW's current World Champion. Bockwinkel is currently on his second reign as World Champion and has held that title for the majority of the year. C) Bobo Brazil- Brazil won the World Championship from Bockwinkel at Unforgiven and succesfully defended it against Bockwinkel at Cyber Sunday before eventually losing it to Bockwinkel. Brazil, along with his friend Mil Mascaras, also won the Sammartino Invitational back in May as the tag team the Brothers of Other Mothers. D) Larry Zbyszko- Since winning the Intercontinetal Championship in the Final Round of the Intercontinental Championship Tournament agaisnt Antonino Rocca at Summer Slam, Zbyszko still retains that title today and is consisitently ranked in the top 5 of Major League Wrestling's Power 25 and on AWA:RAW runs a regular interview segment called Larrry Land.
Tune in tomorrow to find out who wins the award for Major League Wrestling's Best Tag Team for 2006!

Following yesterday's announcement that Buddy Rogers won Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) award for Best Wrestler in 2006, it is now time for MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino today to announce the recipient of Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Best Tag Team Award!
Best Tag Team: Midnight Express- The Midnight Express had two reigns as the World Tag Team Champions and indeed held the championship for all but a few weeks this past year. The addition of Dennis Condrey served to make the Midnight Express even more formidable.
Honorable Mention: A) Road Warriors- Most wrestling analysts believe the only reason Hawk and Animal did not win the World Tag Team Championship this past year is due to their preoccupation in their vicious feud with Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams who were managed by the Road Warriors' former manager Killer Kowalski. The Road Warriors were victorious against the formidable team of Brody and Williams in their feud-opening regular match at Summer Slam, in their tag team steel cage match at Sin City Showdown, and in their feud-ending Hell in a Cell match at Hardcore Holidays. Many predict it is just a matter of time until Hawk and Animal have tag team gold around their waists. B) The Fabulous Kangaroos - Guided by their manager Captain Kangaroo (formerly known as Captain Lou Albano), the Kangaroos are the current World Tag Team Champions. In their feud with the Midnight Express, the Kangaroos routinely put on some of the greatest matches in the year including their victory over the Midnight Express in a scaffold match at Hardcore Holidays. C) The Brothers of Other Mothers- Although they failed to win the World Tag Team Championship from the Midnight Express at the Great American Bash, the tandem of Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras won the first-ever Sammartino Invitational back in May. Even when participating in singles competition, the bond between Brazil and Mascaras has proven steadfast as Mascaras accompanied and even helped Brazil during the latter's reign as World Champion during the fall of this past year. D) The Valentines - The current United States Tag Team Champions, the Valentines have retained their title since winning the belts from the now disbanded Regulators at the Great American Bash back in July. E)- The Heart Thrashers- Guided by their manager Cassandra, the team of Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell surprisingly won the MLW Tag Team Championship back in July and successfully defended that title until Cyber Sunday when it took a tag team turmoil match for them to lose the belts. F) Vachons - the current MLW Tag Team Champions.
Tune in tomorrow to find out who wins the year-ending awards for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Most Popular Wrestler and Most Hated Wrestler!

Following the announcements of the previous two days in which Buddy Rogers won Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) award for Best Wrestler in 2006 and the Midnight Express received the award for best Tag Team, it is now time for MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino today to announce the recipients of Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Most Popular and Most Hated wrestlers!
Most Popular: The Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras). No other wrestlers on Major League Wrestling's roster sold more merchandise or had more signs in the crowd for them than the duo of Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras. Teaming together to defeat 39 other tag teams in the Sammartino Invitational, Brazil and Mascaras captured the support of crowds wherever they wrestled. Brazil and Mascaras' popularity only surged when Brazil defeated Nick Bockwinkel for the World Championship and Mascaras fully supported Brazil by accompanying Brazil to ringside for title defenses and even helping Brazil retain his World Championship from Bockwinkel in the main event triple threat match at Cyber Sunday.
Honorable mention: A) Road Warriors- Since disavowing themselves from their manager Killer Kowalski shortly after the Sammartino Invitational, the Road Warriors have received more cheers than anyone on the NWA brand of MLW. B) The Crusher- MLW fans support The Crusher's ambitions to overcome the rest if the obstacles placed in front f him from the rest of the Heenan Family and to finally secure a title shot against current World Champion Nick Bockwinkel. C) Frank Gotch- MLW fans rallied behind Gotch in his pursuit of and brief reign with the World Championship.
Most Hated: Buddy Rogers. The most arrogant wrestler in Major League Wrestling drew the wrath of fans everywhere for comments such as telling them "I've had more title reigns than you've had pieces of a*s" and for threatening violence against his former valet Maxine Babe earlier this year when he told her "Toots, you need to go before I slap you down like a domino."
Honorable Mention: A) Killer Kowalski- The leader if the Dungeon of Doom, Kowalski bit off the ear of Yukon Eric and wore it around his neck. After Yukon Eric failed to win his ear back from Kowalski in the first-ever ear match at Backlash, Kowalski continued to posses the ear and still has it today after defeating Yukon Eric in a ladder match at Saturday Night's main Event in which Yukon Eric's severed ear was the prize dangling above the ring. B) Nick Bockwinkel- was the top member of the despised Heenan Family. C) Larry Zbyszko- Nobody earned more jeers on the AWA brand of MLW than did the arrogant and foul-mouthed host of Larry Land.
Be sure to check back in tomorrow when the awards for Biggest Surprise and Best PPV are announced!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) tonight concludes its year-end award ceremony tonight as MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino is set to announce the recipients of Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Biggest Surprise and Best PPV awards!
Biggest Surprise: The Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell). Managed by Cassandra, the Heart Thrashers shocked wrestling fans around the world by becoming the first-ever MLW Tag Team Champions by winning a tag team tournament of AWA brand tag teams in July that included tag teams such as the Killer Bees, the Vachons (the current MLW Tag Team Champions), former United States Tag Team Champions the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, and the Double Axe Attack. The heart Thrashers then went on to defend their MLW Tag Team Championship from July until November when it took a non-traditional tag team turmoil match at Cyber Sunday for them to lose their titles.
Honorable Mention: The Valentines On the NWA brand that includes great tag teams such as the Road Warriors , the Midnight Express, current World Tag Team Champions the Fabulous Kangaroos, Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams, Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki, and the Armstrongs, the Valentines are the current United States Tag Team Champions and have held this championship since winning them against the Regulators (Dick Hutton and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr) at the Great American Bash back in July.
Best PPV:The Sammartino Invitational. The Sammartino Invitational established Major League Wrestling (MLW) as a respectable fed as it seemed the entire world turned in to see the results of this four day tag team tournament comprised of 40 tag teams-25 of which were made up of wrestlers on MLW's active roster and 15 of which were visiting tag teams champions representing their outside territories. Although the Road Warriors and the Midnight Express were among the final four tag teams, it was the Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras) who defeated Dan "the Beast" Severn and Giant Baba in the Final Round to win the Sammartino Invitational.
Honorable Mention: Summer Slam- Summer Slam was the first PPV Major League Wrestling had since its brand split in July. The 10 match lineup featured wrestlers from both the AWA and trhe NWA brands and was arguably the greatest lineup so far in Major League Wrestling's history and included Mil Mascaras defeating his friend and fellow tag team partner in the Brothers of Other Mothers in Bobo Brazil, Giant Baba defeating Harley Race by DQ, the Road Warriors defeating Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in the first-ever matchup of the two teams, Ivan Koloff defeating MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino, the Midnight Express defeating the Fabulous Kangaroos 2-1 in a best 2 out of 3 falls and 3 on 2 handicap match to retain the World Tag Team Championship, World Champion Nick Bockwinkel defeating Jim Londos, and Buddy Rogers winning both falls against Frank Gotch and Diamond Dallas Page in a two falls triple threat match to retain both the MLW Championship and the United States Championship!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW PREVIEW for Saturday January 6, 2006 from Mexico City, Mexico
With just one day to go before the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents New Years Revolution in Puerto Rico, there will be a special edition of AWA:RAW this Saturday night from Mexico City!
Larry Hennig vs Ox Baker One night before teaming with the Crusher to take on the tag team of King Kong Bundy and Ox Baker who together attacked and put his son Curt Hennig on the injured list, Larry Hennig will take on Baker in a singles match. Larry Hennig and Baker will be accompanied to the ring for this match by their partners at New Years Revolution in The Crusher and King Kong Bundy respectively.
MLW Tag Team Vachons and their manager Wild "Red" Berry vs the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff and their manager Nikita Breznikov. One night before the Vachons defend their MLW Tag Team Championship against the Iron Sheik and Volkoff in a best 2 out of 3 falls match at New Year's Revolution, these two teams will first meet in a non-title six man tag team match with their managers as their teammates.
Jimmy Snuka, Yukon Eric, Cousin Luke, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko, the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell), and Gorgeous George in an 8 man tag team match. As a result of an orchestrated ambush by the Heart Thrashers and George upon Yukon Eric, Cousin Luke, and Hacksaw Jim Duggan on Larry Land and resulting brawl that saw Snuka get involved last week on AWA:RAW, these 8 men will square off together in the same match one night before New Years Revolution when Zbyszko defends his Intercontinental Championship against Snuka and Duggan, Yukon Eric, and Cousin Luke wrestle George and the Heart Thrashers in a 6 man tag team elimination match.
In addition, all 6 competitors in New Year's Revolution main event elimination chamber match for the World Championship will be in action as:
Jim Londos will wrestle Don Muraco in singles competition
and ] The Brothers of Other Mothers (Bobo Brazil and Mil Mascaras) team up to take on World Champion Nick Bockwinkel and Don Leo Jonathan!
Finally, on the eve of New Year's Revolution, will there be any additional matches announced for the PPV?
All this and more this week on AWA:RAW of Major League Wrestling!
MLW Spokesman Splatter says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"

Just checked out the tourney. Nic work.
I run something similar called The Stu Hart Memorial Cup, but that only has 24 teams.
Anyways, it was very fun read. I liked the use of the GWF teams.
