excellent ppv Stephen...I figured that maybe Brody and WIlliams may have been able to pull out a win against the Road Warriors, but again the LOD show just how dominating they can be. I was kinda rooting for Gotch to make Rogers tap out, but I see the dice didnt see it that way. 4 Stars Stephen!

Just getting around to reading this. Excellent show. Better than RAW last night! Thanks godzillajoe2k4 (and also The Ace and neilybob). I was also a little disappointed with this week's WWE RAW as there were some matches that really intrigued me (such as Cena vs the Undertaker) but many of them didn't seem to last very long (I think Cena vs the Undertaker only went on for about 5 minutes). Overall, I was really pleased with what the dice gave me for my Sin City Showdown PPV which I played out before watching No Mercy on Sunday. I also thought my results turned out better than the WWE's No Mercy which (despite what I honestly considered some quality matches such as the Fatal Fourway main event, Benoit vs Regal, and the match with Kendrick and London) had some of the most grosses skits I have ever seen on a PPV. That stuff would NEVER happen in Major League Wrestling. But then again I did have a ladder match on a Saturday Night's Main Event that I posted in this thread back in May in which the prize hanging over the ring was Yukon Eric's ear. ;D But yeah, I think last weekend's Sin City Showdown was probably Major League Wrestling's bets PPV since at least my Great American Bash PPV in early July.

Nice as always! You know, I've heard people say they can't get into Legends because there is no "storylines".
Bah, how can you not like a game where you can have the Kangaroos battle the Midnight Express. That's greatness!!!
Could you imagine, in their prime, the Road Warriors vs Brody and Doc. That match, in each's prime, would sell out the Tokyo Dome on that one match alone.

For the first time since July, Major League Wrestling (MLW) is taking the weekend off (I am leaving for Los Angeles where I am going to see RAW and Smackdown filmed at the Supershow tomorrow night at Staples Center).
However, Major League Wrestling (MLW) will return to its regular schedule next week where on the AWA brand more possible matches will be announced for the upcoming Cyber Sunday PPV. And next weekend on the NWA brand the promise that MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers made to fellow Horsemen Harley Race will be revealed after Race helped Rogers defeat Frank Gotch in the main event "I Quit" steel cage match at last weekend's Sin City Showdown PPV to regain the MLW Championship!

Following its brief one-week hiatus, Major League Wrestling (MLW) returns this week with both its AWA and NWA brands presenting shows on its new channel of VEGAS TV!
First is this week's preview for AWA:RAW- the main weekly show for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) AWA brand.
Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW PREVIEW for Thursday October 19, 2006
Major League Wrestling (MLW) Chairman Bruno Sammartino has announced that the main event for the AWA brand's Cyber Sunday PPV on Sunday November 5 will feature Bobo Brazil defending the World Championship in a triple threat match. One of Brazil's opponents will be former champion Nick Bockwinkel. The other member of this triple threat main event match will be determined by the fans of Major League Wrestling (MLW) themselves who will choose between three different wrestlers who win qualifying matches on this week's edition of AWA:RAW!
This week's qualifying matches are:
1. Jim Londos vs his enemy Gorgeous George 2. Antonino Rocca vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan 3. Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens.
The winners of these three qualifying matches will be the three wrestlers that MLW fans will vote on to determine the final participant in Cyber Sunday's World Championship triple threat main event. The losers of these three qualifying matches will be the three wrestlers the fans will vote on to determine the challenger of Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko at Cyber Slam!
In addition, following B Brian Blair's wild card battle royal victory two weeks ago on MLW's season premiere on VEGAS TV, the Killer Bees will challenge MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers in a 2 out of 3 falls title match! Also, Ida Mae Martinez and Sherri Martel will continue their best out of 7 series to determine MLW's first-ever Ladies Champion. With a 3-2 lead, Martinez can win both the series and the title if she defeats Martinez this week! Finally, Sammartino as promised that additional match possibilities to be determined by MLW's fans will also be announced this week on AWA:RAW!
Now for this week's preview of NWA:NITRO- the main weekly show of Major League Wrestling's NWA brand!
Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO PREVIEW for Friday October 20, 2006
This week on NWA:NITRO, new MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers has promised to fulfill his promise to fellow Horsemen Harley Race after Race helped Rogers regain the MLW Championship two weeks ago at Sin City Showdown in Rogers' "I Quit" steel cage MLW Championship match against Frank Gotch. But just what is this mysterious promise that Rogers has made to Race and will Rogers actually go through with it?
Also, the Armstrongs will challenge United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines in a bes 2 out of 3 falls match following the Armstrongs victory in their bonus #1 contenders match vs the Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant at Sin City Showdown two weeks ago! And the Road Warriors are set to battle their enemies Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams once again! All this and more this week on NWA:NITRO!
Splatter, MLW's spokesman, says: "Major League Wrestling (MLW). Don't you DARE miss it!"

Following the recent Sin City Showdown PPV, it is now time once again for Major League Wrestling's (MLW's) Power 25!
Major League Wrestling has assembled a panel of wrestling experts from across the globe who will regularly determine who are the top 25 wrestlers in Major League Wrestling and rank them accordingly. In addition to wins and losses, Major League Wrestling's panel of experts also considers factors of opponent quality, momentum, and intangibles in calculating the Power 25.
RED means the wrestler(s) on the Power 25 are in the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW)
BLUE means the wrestler(s) on the Power 25 are in the NWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW)
1. MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers Following his defeat of Frank Gotch in the "I Quit" steel cage main event match at Sin City Showdown, Rogers is once again a double champion and regains his top spot on MLW's Power 25.
2. World Champion Bobo Brazil Brazil's next title defense comes at Cyber Sunday in a triple threat match against former champion Nick Bockwinkel and a wrestler to be determined by MLW's fans.
3. World Tag Team Champions Midnight Express At Sin City Showdown, the Midnight Express once again defeated the Fabulous Kangaroos to demonstrate why they are the top ranked tag team in all of Major League Wrestling.
4. Road Warriors Hawk and Animal looked completely dominate in their steel cage match against Bruiser Brody and Steve Williams at Sin City Showdown.
5. Frank Gotch Gotch's loss of the MLW Championship to Rogers at Sin City Showdown knocks him off of the top spot of MLW's Power 25.
6. Nick Bockwinkel Can former World Champion Bockwinkel regain his title in the triple threat main event match against Brazil and a wrestler TBD at Cyber Sunday?
7. Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko Zbyszko's next title defense comes at Cyber Sunday against an opponent to be determine by MLW's fans.
8. Mil Mascaras Mascaras has a qualifying match against Ray Stevens this week to become eligible for the fans to vote him in as the third wrestler in Cyber Sunday's triple threat World Championship match.
9. Fabulous Kangaroos After losing again to the World Champion Midnight Express at Sin City Showdown, will the Kangaroos manage to bounce back to become the #1 contenders once again?
10. the Crusher Enjoyed defeating Bobby Heenan at the season premiere of Major League Wrestling on VEGAS TV.
11. Harley Race Falls back several places after being upset by Ted DiBiase at Sin City Showdown. But what is the promise he expects fellow Horsemen and MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers to fulfill this week on NWA:NITRO after Race helped Rogers regain the MLW Championship from Frank Gotch at Sin City Showdown?
12. MLW Tag Team Champions The Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell). Beefcake and Bagwell continue to defy the skeptics as they continue their surprising reign as MLW Tag Team Champions. But The Heart Thrashers have to defend their championship against the Killer Bees in a best 2 out of 3 falls match this week on AWA:RAW.
13. United States Tag Team Champions The Valentines. Greg and Johnny Valentine continue their 3 1/2 month reign as United States Tag Team Champion following their controversial defeat of former World Tag Team Champions Dan Severn and Giant Baba at Sin City Showdown.
14. Jimmy Snuka Decisively winning his feud against Don Muraco. But the MLW fans get to decide whether Snuka wrestles Muraco in a steel cage, coal miner's glove, or falls count anywhere match at Cyber Sunday.
15. Giant Baba After failing to capture the United States Tag Team Championship with Dan Severn, will Baba return to focusing mainly on singles competition?
16. Dan Severn Along with his tag team partner Baba, Severn is still looking for his first singles championship in Major League Wrestling.
17. Diamond Dallas Page Thanks to help from Diamond Doll Maxine Babe, DDP defeated Rick Rude at Sin City Showdown.
18. Jim Londos A win against his enemy Gorgeous George on AWA:RAW this week, makes Londos eligible for the fans to vote him in as the third wrestler in Cyber Sunday's triple threat World Championship match.
19. Dungeon of Doom: Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams Despite their convincing loss to the Road Warriors in their steel cage match at Sin City Showdown, Brody and Williams claim they are not done yet with Hawk and Animal.
20. Rick Rude Can Rude regain his momentum after suffering a setback in his match against Diamond Dallas Page at Sin City Showdown?
21. Ted DiBiase Following his surprising victory against Race at Sin City Showdown, DiBiase has cracked MLW's Power 25.
22. Operation:Pimp (Hardcore Hodge and Steve Corino) After defeating the Barroom Heroes (Sandman and Justin Credible) at Sin City Showdown, Operation:Pimp at the hands of Hardcore Hodge proceeded to spank Phantasy.
23. Antonino Rocca Rocca continues to drop in MLW's Power 25. But a win against Hacksaw Jim Duggan this week to become eligible for the fans to vote him in as the third wrestler in Cyber Sunday's triple threat World Championship match would give Rocca a chance to improve his spot on the rankings.
24. Killer Bees Have a title shot against MLW Tag Team Champions The Heart Thrashers this week on AWA:RAW following B Brain Blair's impressive victory in the Wild Card Battle Royal on Major League Wrestling's season debut on VEGAS TV.
25. Armstrongs "The Bullet" and BA have a title shot against the United States Tag Team Champions The Valentines this week on NWA:NITRO following their victory over Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant in the bonus match at Sin City Showdown.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday October 19, 2006 First Half of show
With only 17 days to go until the AWA brand of Major League Wrestling (MLW) presents Cyber Sunday, it is now time for this week's edition of AWA:RAW!
Today's card features 3 qualifying matches:
a) Jim Londos vs Gorgeous George
b) Antonino Rocca vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan
c) Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens
The winners of these 3 qualifying matches will be eligible to be voted in by MLW's fans as the third wrestler in the triple threat World Championship match at Cyber Sunday in which current champion Bobo Brazil and former champion Nick Bockwinkel are their two opponents.
The 3 losers of these 3 qualifying matches will be voted among by MLW's fans as the opponent of Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko at Cyber Sunday.
Match #1, a Cyber Sunday Qualifying Match: Jim Londos defeated Gorgeous George. In an intense and awesome opening match between two current feuding enemies that saw both Londos and George have great offensive runs, Londos finally won by making George tap out to his BOSTON CRAB.
By winning this match, Londos wins the right to be one of the three wrestlers that MLW's fans will vote among to determine the third opponent in the main event World Championship triple threat match at Cyber Sunday that already involves current champion Bobo Brazil and former champion Nick Bockwinkel.
Match #2: Sherri Martel pinned Ida Mae Martinez (Match #6 in their best of 7 series to determine MLW's first-ever Ladies Champion).
3 times in this match, Martinez (who entered with a 3-2 series lead) went for the series victory over Martel via her patented DROPKICK. But Martel on each of these 3 pin attempts just got her shoulder up in time to avoid the 3 count. Martel was able to mount a comeback and gave Martinez a falling leg drop off the top turnbuckle (Ch H on the updated charts) and then immediately also hit Martinez with her TOP ROPE SPLASH to even the series up at 3-3!
After the referee officially awarded Match #6 to Martel, MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino came out and told Martinez and Martel that their deciding Match #7 would take place at Cyber Sunday. Sammartino also said that, to ensure a winner, MLW fans will get to vote upon whether Match #7 between Martinez and Martel to determine MLW's Ladies Champion would be either :
A) a match in which a DQ or countout decision would mean an automatic title victory
or
B) the winer of the most falls in a 30 minute time period would become MLW's first Ladies Champion.
Match #3: MLW Tag Team Champions The Heart Thrashers (managed by Cassandra) defeated the Killer Bees 2-1 in a best 2 out of 3 falls match to retain the MLW Tag Team Championship.
- This match took place as a result of B Brian Blair's wild card battle royal two weeks ago on MLW's season premiere on VEGAS TV that gave him an automatic title shot.
-First Fall: In a great opening fall, Buff Bagwell finally pinned Jim Brunzell via a double arm DDT to put The Heart Thrashers up 1-0.
-Second Fall: Brunzell pinned Brutus Beefcake via a flying head scissors to tie things up at 1-1.
-Third Fall: The Killer Bees controlled most of this fall but Blair got DQd when the action between him and Bagwell spilled outside of the ring for whipping Bagwell into a steel ring pole. The Heart Thrashers win the match 2-1 and retain the MLW Tag Team Championship!
- After the match, MLW Chairman Sammartino came out and informed the Heart Thrashers that their next title defense would occur at Cyber Sunday and that they would defend their MLW Tag Team Championship against an opponent of the MLW fans' choosing between:
A) Killer Bees
B) Double Axe Attack
C) Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff
D) Vachons
E) Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke
F) Killer Bees, Double Axe Attack, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, Vachons, AND Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke in a tag team turmoil match.
Match #4: Don Muraco pinned Jimmy Snuka. Despite Snuka's overall success in the recent matches of their feud, Muraco picked up the victory tonight with a neckbreaker.
-After being declared the victor in tonight's match, Muraco grabbed the microphone and, gesturing toward Snuka who was still on the ground, told the crowd not to vote for him to wrestle Snuka in a steel cage match at Cyber Sunday because "a savage like Snuka who belongs in a cage" would have too much of a home field advantage. Muraco instead asked the fans to vote for him to face Snuka in either a coal miner's glove or a falls count anywhere match at Cyber Sunday.
End of First Half of tonight's show. Second Half will be posted next and includes an edition of Larry Land and the other two Cyber Sunday qualifying matches involving Antonino Rocca vs Hacksaw Jim Duggan and then Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens!

Yeah, I am glad the dice gave me what is turning out to be a 7 match series between them as Martinez and Martel are now tied at 3-3 with the deciding seventh match at Cyber Sunday.
I also still need to type up the Second Half of that show that I played out yesterday- but I fell asleep watching TV before I could get to it.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) AWA:RAW Thursday October 19, 2006 Second Half of show (First Half is posted above) on VEGAS TV
Larry Land: Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko (accompanied by his body guard Cowboy Bob Orton Jr) is not interviewing a guest this week but instead providing commentary about his possible opponents (based on MLW fan voting) that he will have to defend the Intercontinental Championship against at Cyber Sunday.
Zbyszko: "Gorgeous George, bottom line is that if you can't beat the Golden Geek Jim Londos then you can't beat Larry Zbyszko."
Zbyszko: "Antonino Rocca, how many times do I have to beat you in a match? If the fans select you as my opponent at Cyber Sunday then it's just going to be the same results as our matches at Sumer Slam and Unforgiven which is me leaving with the Intercontinental Championship around my waist."
Zbyszko: "Hacksaw Jim Duggan, you will be even easier to defeat than Rocca. I would just punch you a one-way ticket straight to Larry Land."
Zbyszko: "Mil Mascaras, how many title have you won so far in Major League Wrestling? The answer is zero. How many titles will you have won after a match against me for my Intercontinental Championship at Cyber Sunday? The answer is zero."
Zbyszko: " Ray Stevens, you play second fiddle to Nick Bockwinkel and you are not in my class either."
Zbyszko (to the fans): "So no matter who you idiots vote for, I am leaving Cyber Sunday the same way I am arriving there and that is as the Intercontinental Champion."
Match #5, a Cyber Sunday Qualifying Match: Antonino Rocca defeated Hacksaw Jim Duggan. In a match between two fan favorites, despite some tough offense by Duggan, Rocca picked up the victory by making Duggan submit to a bow and arrow.
By winning this match, Rocca wins the right to be one of the three wrestlers (along with Jim Londos and the winner of tonight's main event between Mil Mascaras and Ray Stevens) that MLW's fans will vote among to determine the third opponent in the main event World Championship triple threat match at Cyber Sunday that already involves current champion Bobo Brazil and former champion Nick Bockwinkel.
By losing this match, Duggan instead will be one of the 3 wrestlers (along with Gorgeous George and the loser between tonight's main event match between Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens) that MLW fans will vote on to determine who Larry Zbyszko defends the Intercontinental Championship against at Cyber Sunday!
In the ring: Bobby Heenan.
-Footage is shown of the Crusher's match against Iron Mike DiBiase a few weeks ago in which the Crusher, in a message to the Heenan Family, gave DiBiase 6 CRUSHER BOLOS and Mike DiBiase still has not returned from the injured list.
-Heenan says his Heenan Family is not afraid of the Crusher and his CRUSHER BOLO and says they are issuing a challenge to the Crusher to fight one of the Heenan Family members, to be determined by MLW's fans, at Cyber Sunday in a finisher match.
-Heenan then introduces the 3 members of his Heenan Family and mentions their finishers that the fans can vote to wrestle the Crusher in a finisher match at Cyber Sunday:
1. Ox Baker (HEART PUNCH) 2. King Kong Bundy (AVALANCHE)
3. Don Leo Jonathan (MORMON SWING)
-The Crusher then appears and tells Heenan and his 3 men in the ring that he will be glad to wrestle any of them in a finisher match at Cyber Sunday based on how the MLW fan voting goes.
-The Crusher also says he can't until Cyber Sunday and that he has already gotten Chairman Sammartino's approval for a 6 man tag team match next week in which he and the Double Axe Attack will wrestle Baker, Bundy, and Jonathan!
Cyber Sunday Add: Sunday November 5th
1. World Champion Bobo Brazil vs former champion Nick Bockwinkel and a third wrestler to be determined by MLWs fans in a triple threat championship match. The third wrestler will either be A) Jim Londos B) Antonino Rocca C) the winner of tonight's main event between Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens
2. Intercontinental Champion Larry Zbyszko defends his championship against either A) Gorgeous George B) Hacksaw Jim Duggan C) the loser of tonight's main event match between Mil Mascaras vs Ray Stevens
3. MLW Tag Team Champions the Heart Thrashers (Brutus Beefcake and Buff Bagwell) defend their championship against either A) Killer Bees B) Double Axe Attack C) Vachons D) Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff E) Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke F) Killer Bees, Double Axe Attack, Vachons, Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff, AND Yukon Eric and Cousin Luke in a tag team turmoil match.
4. Jimmy Snuka vs Don Muraco in either A) a steel cage match B) a coal miner's glove match C) a falls count anywhere match
5. The Crusher with his CRUSHER BOLO in a finisher match vs a member of the Heenan Family who will be either: A) Ox Baker (HEART PUNCH) B) King Kong Bundy (AVALANCHE) C) Don Leo Jonathan (MORMON SWING)
6. Ida Mae Martinez vs Sherri Martel in the deciding seventh match of their best of 7 series to determine Major League Wrestling's first-ever Ladies Championship in either: A) a match in which a DQ or countout decision will still make the winner the Ladies Championship B) a 30 minute match in which the lady with the mos falls during that time will win the match and the Ladies Championship
7. More match possibilities to be announced (polls will be posted in about a week and a half).
Backstage: Ray Stevens is talking to Bockwinkel and Heenan who remind him that a victory tonight means it is possible that it will be both Bockwinkel and Stevens in the triple threat main event World Championship match at Cyber Sunday which should make it easy for them to defeat Brazil and return the title to the Heenan Family.
Bockwinkel also emphasizes to Stevens that it is important he (Stevens) wins tonight because even if the fans don't want to vote Stevens into the main event at Cyber Sunday, a victory by Stevens tonight over Mascaras no matter what still guarantees that Mascaras will not be eligible for the fans to vote into the triple threat championship match at Cyber Sunday against Bockwinkel and Mascaras' friend and fellow tag team partner in the Brothers of Other Mothers Bobo Brazil. Bockwinkel says he would be worried about possibly having to wrestle both Brazil and his friend Mascaras in the same match at Cyber Sunday.
Match #6, the main event: Mil Mascaras (accompanied by World Champion Bobo Brazil) defeated Ray Stevens (accompanied by Nick Bockwinkel and manager Bobby Heenan) by DQ . Mascaras appeared to have Stevens pinned via FLYING BODYPRESS but Bockwinkel, out of sheer desperation, tried to interfere to prevent Mascaras from getting the victory and from becoming eligible for the main event at Cyber Sunday. But the referee caught Bockwinkel punching Mascaras and immediately called for the bell to award the match by DQ to Mascaras.
By winning this match, Mascaras wins the right to be one of the three wrestlers (along with Jim Londos and Antonino Rocca) that MLW's fans will vote among to determine the third opponent in the main event World Championship triple threat match at Cyber Sunday that already involves current champion Bobo Brazil and former champion Nick Bockwinkel!
By losing this match, Stevens instead will be one of the 3 wrestlers (along with Gorgeous George and Hacksaw Jim Duggan) that MLW fans will vote on to determine who Larry Zbyszko defends the Intercontinental Championship against at Cyber Sunday!
As the Brothers of Other Mothers (Brazil and Mascaras) celebrate Mascaras' important win tonight, Bockwinkel reacts with horror at the possibility he will now have to wrestle both Brazil and Brazil's' best friend Mascaras in a triple threat match at Cyber Sunday.
End of show. Next up for Major League Wrestling will be this week's edition of NWA:NITRO- the weekly main show of MLW's NWA brand where MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers has vowed to reveal the promise he made to his fellow Horsemen Harley Race after Race helped him defeat Frank Gotch in the main event "I Quit" steel cage match at Sin City Showdown to regain the MLW Championship!
Fade to black.

Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday October 20, 2006 First Half of the Show on VEGAS TV
Tonight is the first edition of NWA:NITRO since MLW's NWA brand presented Sin City Showdown in which United States Champion once again became a double champion by defeating MLW Champion Frank Gotch in an "I Quit" steel cage match thanks to the help of fellow Horsemen Harley Race. Tonight Rogers says he will reveal what his promise to Race is for helping defeat Gotch at Sin City Showdown.
In the ring: The Four Horsemen- MLW Champion and United States Champion Buddy Rogers, Harley Race, and the United States Tag Team Champions the Valentines.
Rogers (speaking to the fans and gesturing at himself and the rest of the Horsemen): "Take a step back to see what's causing all this."
Rogers:" It's us, the Four Horsemen and we are the best thing going today."
Rogers: "We drink a little harder, stay a little longer, party until dawn, and keep going strong. Whoooooo!"
Rogers: "And one more thing we all have in common is that us 4 are all now champions. My promise to Harley Race was that I would give him my United States Championship if he helped me defeat Gotch for the MLW Championship at Sin City Showdown. So I renounce my United States Championship and award it to Harley Race."
Suddenly, Major League Wrestling Chairman Bruno Sammartino comes out.
Sammartino: "Buddy Rogers I thought you might try something like this. In Major League Wrestling, titles are not simply awarded- they're won in the ring. So, while I will accept that you renounced your United States Championship, Harley Race is not automatically the new United States Champion. Instead I am setting up a tournament for the United States Championship with 4 First Round matches tonight! And Harley Race's First Round opponent will be the man who defeated him at Sin City Showdown- Ted DiBiase."
The Four Horsemen react with outrage at finding out they just lost a title from their stable and that Race would have to wrestle DiBiase once again.
Match #1: Rick Rude pinned Diamond Dallas Page (with Diamond Doll Maxine Babe).
Before the match began, Rude got on the microphone and told Diamond Doll Maxine Babe: "Maxine Babe, you can't be the first, but you can be the next if you know what I mean."
This was a tremendous and exciting opening match between these two feuding enemies. DDP almost won the match early when, despite being down on defense, he suddenly hit Rude wit THE DIAMOND CUTTER from seemingly out of nowhere as Rude stopped to arrogantly pose for Maxine Babe- but Rude kicked out. Although both DDP and Rude scored pin attempts against each other, Rude ultimately won the match via his RUDE AWAKENING.
Match #2: Valentines defeated Armstrongs 2-1 in a best 2 out of 3 falls match to retain the United States Tag Team Championship.
This match was a result of the Armstrongs defeating Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant in the bonus match at Sin City Showdown to earn a shot at the United States Tag Team Championship.
-First Fall: Johnny Valentine got DQd for hitting "Bullet" Bob Armstrong with a steel chair outside of the ring. Armstrongs up 1-0.
-Second Fall: In a really short fall, Johnny Valentine pinned "Bullet" Bob Armstrong via his ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Valentines and Armstrongs are tied 1-1.
-Third Fall: The Armstrongs looked great in this deciding fall and had the fans on their feet in anticipation of a possible victory as Greg Valentine had to kick out of 3 near pin attempts to continue the match. But the Valentines won once again when Johny Valentine again hit "Bullet" Bob Armstrong with his ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER for the victory.
Match #3: Dungeon of Doom: Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death" Williams (managed by Killer Kowalski) defeated the Road Warriors.
- Before the match began, Kowalski told the Road Warriors that although Hawk and Animal may have defeated Brody and Williams in their steel cage match at Sin City Showdown, the Dungeon of Doom is still going to win the war!
In yet another great tag team battle between these two teams, the Dungeon of Doom picked up the victory when Williams pinned Hawk via his OKLAHOMA STAMPEDE.
End of First Half of the Show. Second Half will be posted next and will include the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express on the Hot Seat and the 4 First Round matches of the United States Championship Tournament!

Major League Wrestling (MLW) NWA:NITRO Friday October 20, 2006 Second Half of the Show (First Half is posted above) on VEGAS TV
The rest of tonight's matches (Matches #4-7) are the First Round matches in the United States Championship Tournament after former United States Champion Buddy Rogers renounced the belt and then tried unsuccessfully to award it to fellow Horsemen Harley Race during the First Half of the show.
Match #4: Giant Baba pinned Richard Hutton. Hutton started off strong by giving a scoop slam to Baba as the opening move of the match followed by a Side Salto and then an Oklahoma sideroll. Baba survived several pin and submission attempts by Hutton before making a comeback that ended with a NECKBREAKER DROP for the win.Giant Baba advances in the United States Championship Tournament!
Match #5: Ivan Koloff (accompanied by the Terrible Turk) defeated Dan Severn. After twice getting away with smashing his chain against the face of Severn, Koloff made "The Beast" submit to his RUSSIAN BEARHUG. Ivan Koloff advances in the United States Championship Tournament!
Hot Seat: This week's guests are the World Tag Team Champions the Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton, Stan Lane, Dennis Condrey, and their manager Jim Cornette).
-Cornette and the Midnight Express are bragging about their victory over the Fabulous Kangaroos at Sin City Showdown to once again retain their World Tag Team Championship.
-Fabulous Kangaroos and their manager Captain Kangaroo (formerly Albano) arrive on the Hot Seat. Captain Kangaroo tells Cornette his Fabulous Kangaroos will defeat anyone they have to in order to get another shot at the Midnight Express.
-Cornette, remembering how Bruiser Brody and Steve "Dr. Death: Williams impressively defeated the Road Warriors during the First Half of tonight's edition of NITRO, tells the Kangaroos that if they can defeat Brody and Williams next week on NITRO then the Midnight Express will give them another title shot.
Backstage: MLW Chairman Bruno Sammartino approaches MLW Champion Buddy Rogers.
-Sammartino tells Rogers that he was so satisfied with how MLW's Season Debut turned out with the AWA and NWA brands jointly participating on that card, he has decided that 2 wrestlers from the NWA brand will participate at the AWA brand's next PPV Cyber Sunday on Sunday November 5.
-Sammartino explains that he wants the 2 wrestlers from the NWA brand to wrestle the 2 wrestlers among Jim Londos, Antonino Rocca, and Mil Mascaras who the fans do NOT vote to join World Champion Bobo Brazil and former champion Nick Bockwinkel in the main event triple threat match for the World Championship.
-Rogers says that as MLW Champion he deserves to be one of the 2 NWA wrestlers getting the chance to make extra money by appearing at Cyber Sunday and he wants his fellow Horsemen Harley Race to be his tag team partner.
-Sammartino agrees that Rogers will be one of the 2 wrestlers but says that MLW fans will vote to determine Rogers' tag team partner. Sammartino says he will allow Rogers to name Race as one of the 5 possibilities for fans to vote on but in exchange he (Sammartino) will name fan favorite Frank Gotch (Rogers' enemy) as of the other possibilities.
-As Rogers reacts upset at the thought of possibly having to team up with Gotch at Cyber Sunday, Sammartino explains that the other 3 possibilities for fans to vote on will be the winners of 3 qualifying matches next week on NWA:NITRO!
Match #6: Frank Gotch defeated Bob Orton Sr by countout. A great match that saw Orton Sr almost get the victory over Gotch via his PILEDRIVER. But Gotch won when Orton Sr was unable to enter the ring before the referee completed a 10 count. Gotch advances in the United States Championship Tournament!
Match #7, the Main Event: Ted DiBiase defeated Harley Race by DQ. Race was in control for most of this match as he seemed determined to avenge his defeat to DiBiase (Legends Teams card) at Sin City Showdown. But Race seemed to lose his focus of trying to advance in the tournament to win the vacated United States Championship when he threw DiBiase outside of the ring and smashed his head into the steel railing near the fans. Race then shoved the referee down to the floor for trying to warn him to return to the ring and got the immediate DQ. Ted DiBiase advances in the United States Championship Tournament!
End of this week's edition of NWA:NITRO.
